Gladiator let his nose run across the ground... Sensing the exact line of where Jabbar stops he stood there his massive mitts planted firmly as he tilted his massive crown back to let out a bone chilling cry. His howl echoed thew the land. His song was for her but he knew he would come aswell. By the power of his howl the Alpha would not be able to tell if he was on the border or in his land so by nature he would come to look. Gladiator finished his song lowering his head waiting watching the shadows to see who would come....

Yes she came, she came on swift feet, her fleeting form ghosting across the young trees. She was older then these saplings who's parents were wiped out in the fire. Reborn on the mineral infused ash just as the pack had been reborn with it. Azule eyes flashed and she soundlessly moved. Anger welling in her inside her stomach threatnin to claw it's way to the surface. Only her iron will held the sinister beast at bay and then just barely. Damean would come as well. He did not tolerate him... She could imagine his fury which though Damean to her was never very imposing physically there was something other that made his wrath imposing. She saw the white furred brute standing just over the border. Akiko did not need the marks of the land to know where her territory ended. Pausing it was not hesitation that held her back but as her eyes bore into his thick frame she felt the need to compose her emotional response. Anger, hate, mistrust, betrayl.

The. Her lithe form stepped through the trees tail twitching. Not once did her eyes drop from his face. It just wasn't the sort of wolfess she was. Dominant. Yes she was and here she would not let Gladiator threaten who she was. "Why have you come?" Flat lyrics with no inflection of emotion. He did not deserve even such a grain from her. Her prescence here was already gift enough. Damean would be here soon to drive away he big bad wolf.... Unless she stopped him.

The interruption... He had been sitting with his mate, enjoying every moment he had with her now, she was pregnant, she was beautiful...there was nothing more in the world he wanted then to be with her and... he ... had to ruin it. A deep growl sounded from his throat as he made his way through it own lands. Each tree was something special for he had known the loss of all their mothers and fathers were now so long ago. Black pillars brought him towards the pair. No. They weren't a pair, it was one single female and one single male. Auds caught the fleeting words that left Akiko's maw as he came from the shadows to stand beside her.

They were on his lands while Gladiator was on the outsude. He was just north of the Pearl and North of Jabbar. He was in no mans land and Damean would love to rip him apart now. "Ha, why have you come, more like why don't you turn tail and get outa here now. I'll send my whole pack on you Gladiator, I don't care how foolish it looks, how scared and abash it may seem..."

Damean eyed the wolf with hate and he waited for those spitting words to come out of this white brujios maw.

Gladiator watched... He was tired of hiding within everything. His blue crystals never leaving hers. He watched her then the words of Damean hit his auds. "Do as you must. I'm here to speak with her." His heart already shattered watched her. There where no words to make this better. "It is you I need... No clan... no pack... Just you" He flicked his tail slightly. " I had left it all before for you... I will do it again... all I ask is the chance no forgiveness for that can not just be giving but earned... and I promise I'll spend the rest of forever making it up to you" This time he looked to Damean "Your hate for my breed has nothing to do with me... I hold no place within them. I hold no ties other then the bond with my niece. All I wish is to be with Akiko..." He paused blue crystals turning to her. "If she chooses to" He waited. He felt helpless but this he didn't care about. He would give up anything for her...

Damean looked at Gladiator as he spoke. The words were heart breaking for hadn't he himself said those same things moments before when he had to win Jaded from the darkness of her own mind. But this was different. Damean had a job to do as alpha, Gladiator, he came and went as he pleased though he seemed to remain faithful towards Akiko. "Looks like Sawyer has some competition" Damean joked and sat down, lightening the mood around himself. "You know Gladiator, if your words were true I'd believe them. And it is not your breed I hate, for I have met some that I never knew were Midnights, who treated everyone as equal, not as an understatement where we need you, where a pack NEEDS Midnight wolves to protect them. We were here before your kind came and we will be here after..."

Damean shook his black head slowly and turned to Akiko. "This is a discussion for you two, this love, it's not place for me. Where my place is is with my mate and whelps to be. Gladiator...if you don't mind, before your conversation takes place I'd like to have a few words" He looked at him, spoke to him as if he were a son, and Damean stood and stepped aside, knowing full well Gladiator would follow him if he stayed outside his own lands.

"Take heed to what I've said please. About your attitude. It is not you I hate, it was the attitude. You are not better then me nor were you ever, you have your own skills and I have mine. You were once a right hand to me, and a love to Akiko. She is mine and forever will be mine as a family member and as a friend. I ask that you do not hurt her as you have once before for though I grant you permission on my lands it is her final decision that holds your fate here, if she wishes nothing of you then go. Stalk along the boarder if you must but know I'll always have someone watching you to make sure the line isn't crossed. " Damean turned and smiled towards the brute...

"As was once a friend to you I must say...seeing you makes me feel old. You look older and do you fair well though I do not know. Gladiator. I accept those who do not follow under Dracul. That brute is too...self centered for my taste. If you would follow myself, Jaded, and Akiko then you are welcome here, for we do not need you, but we accept your body amongst our clan...we are one body...growing every so often when another body joins in...it's not one leader and a pack...it's all of us together..." He nodded and turned. "Remember, always watching" He walked forward towards Akiko. "If you wish him gone then so be it. His fate is up to you dear friend... I'm civil for now, but if I hear that of an argument in your two presence and body I will be over here so fast his head will spin only a second before I take it off. I promise." He nudged his Beta on the cheek, she hadn't moved since he had gotten here and he knew why. Anger, Hate...Love...Fear of that love...more anger...so many emotions and which one to play on. "Call if you need anything. The fastest will be here first I promise you..."

He stepped away and headed back towards the main lands. He didn't go to his mate, no, instead he stayed in the shadows near them. Damean was far away enough he wouldn't be able to hear their words, or see their expressions, it was only two bodies that he could see, white against the darkness of his forest...his forest... oh he felt old, he'd been here so long. And his mind broke then and he sighed...what had he done...

Gladiator did follow he looked at Damean as he spoke. Never had he thought he was greater then any wolf. He had learned long ago to never underestimate any creature. Gladiator parted his maw and let the words slip out. "Akiko is no game to simply be won. If this sawyer wishes to be with her and she to him then I will leave her be... All I wish is her happiness.. but even more I wish to be the source of that happiness. If not then so be it." He paused some his face trying to hide his emotion."My attitude was tords your poor choices as a ruler. . . It was never I thought I was greater then you because to me Im just another wolf.. You are a good wolf great ruler but some choices you make are not the smartest but who does not make mistakes. The day I was banished you pushed a little to hard... Now it seems your view on things have changed" He watched the Alpha "We were friends long ago... I have remained not only loyal to Akiko but to you and your lands aswell. . . I grew up here. I met my love here. I will remain loyal to Jabbar as long as there is a breath in me to do so even if I do not like the choices of the King that rules over it I still protect this land... And will even if she does not wish to have me." Gladiator was annoyed some by Damean's assumption but he remain respectful to the bru. His words... they sent memories threw him. As he spoke of his brother Gladiator laughed "Dracul will not be hear for long. His daughter is finally seeing all that others see. My brother will not last long." His words were simple and true. Dracul was depriving there clan of the very thing that keeps them whole.

Gladiator watched Damean disappear into the trees... He looked to Akiko... His blue crystals watching her. His love. His life. He knew that if his heart felt this shattered hers must be too. She didn't fool him. He knew her to well. He had spent years with her getting to know every possible thing about her. He knew as she stood before him the anger she felt the hurt she felt. He promised he would always be here and yet he had left. Not for a few weeks or even months but for years. He moved to her as close as the border would permit. He parted his maw "You hate me don't you?" His words where soft. . . He had no idea why he left. She was his life he was there from day one. There love was as older then the saplings growing. They where the few of the first on this land and still she made him feel as she did the first day. So he made up his mind to tell her "I don't know why I left... Perhaps fear... Maybe I thought you where better off without me... All I know is I went a year and a half without your voice. Without you... " He looked to the ground now "I'm not me without you..." He stayed quite letting his thoughts ease so he could think better. Then he looked to her. Blue crystals locking on hers. "The day we met. . . I knew you where the one for me. . . Tho you ignored me at first I kept trying because I knew I loved you... I still do... You still give me the same feeling you did that day we met... I will always be here. I'm not leaving again" He did something now that he knew would test her love. He stepped over the border and closer to her. " I know your mad... I know your hurt no matter how hard you hide it you cant hide it from me. I know you to well... Your eyes give it all away" He was close to her now... all he wished was for her to give him the chance.... so he waited...

Akiko's eyes flicked solemnly as Damean spoke. He spoke true as an alpha who loves his pack, as an alpha who wanted to protect his family. He then spoke to her and placed the decision of Gladiators fate in her mitts. Wise of him to do because she was not easily decided for. He mentioned Sawyer and her brow rose up, how did Damean know of the brutes advances? Surely the love struck fool did not parade her name in his mouth everywhere he went...she snorted mentally. Cold glinting hues locked on the pair of brus facing off. She nodded her crown to him in acknowledgement. A wry smirk playing around her features, if it came to taking Gladiators head off she could manage quite well herself. Then Damean was gone, her eyes traced his form as he stalked away into the bushes. She had no choice but confront Gladiator now, not that she ever really feared confrontation. Turning her eyes to her ex mate she observed him quietly as he spoke. He was unusually timid.

The Gladiator she had known had basked in the glory of himself, all pride and arrogance, but fiercely loyal and had a strange gentleness about his hulking form. Strange that they should have ever mated, her being smaller than most yearlings and he a thick muscled Midnight who was large for even that breed. She was surprised how he took the news of Sawyers affection so easily. Hmmm...what game was his playing at? Being coy...perhaps he had truly changed...

He advanced towards her and thats when her face revealed anything. A glint of anger in her eyes, muscles tensed up, lip twitching ready to reveal her canines. He stepped over the border and she growled low. "Step away Gladiator." She warned in a low tone. Continuing in a hushed voice she continued. "You loved me yet you left me. Left me without words, without caution. You left bereft wonder if you still lived. I allowed you into a forbidden place given only to a few others. Yet you abused it and now I have sealed it away from the sorrows of time." Tail lashing angrily she bit out her words. "I shall bear you no pups Gladiator for I have not desired them even now." Again she growled. "I was ridiculed by your clan and I stood through there taunts and jeers as one who was not accepted. I knew I could endure it as long as you stood by me. But now you return and expect my forgiveness? I am not same tame Midnight bitch matched by a king my will taken from me." Now she was pacing, her words like venom in the air.

Then haulting she locked her icy daggers on the once loved brute. "Be gone from here Gladiator. Go to Muerta where my sister will welcome you. I have not the time to deal with the torments of the past, the future is hard pressing and I must see my pack safe." This pack was her very life and all that she had when Gladiator had left her. Jabbar was her mate her lover, her child. This was not over she knew, knew the persistence of this bru who however docile he appeared now would not give her up so easily. But perhaps she should not be so arrogant in her presumptions...

Gladiator watched her. She spoke her stepped back sitting pass the line. He watched her once more before speaking "Dont be ignorant. I never asked for your forgiveness... I left because i had no choice... you where never near. . . We were living separate lives... I dont want whelps. . . If that was the case I would have taken any fea... I never abused anything you gave me. I took whatever you gave me no matter how little..." He growled softly she was indeed Akira's sister stubborn pig headed.He was there to stay and yet she ignored it. She let he anger blind her. "Muerta... It doesn't fit me... It isn't my home... That is why I left in the first place." He looked at her a bit angered himself now... "I didn't pick you to fall in love with it happened on its own..."His tone changing to its cold form. " Even in my absents I stayed true to you. To the words I told you... Our past is what makes us us. Without it we would be nothing... You are not Midnight which is why I am not within the clan myself... How simple things would be if you would have never let me in but it happened and you stay branded on my very soul." He lifted himself know white blue crystals looking over her. "Either way I will wait for you... I have known you long enough to know the cold exterior of you will not last long. If I have to start all over I will." He let the brutes name rock on the inside of his brain. Sawyer was it... hmmm interesting...His thought mingled with themselves as he stood there quietly. " This place is as much of my home as it is yours. . . but if you wish me gone then I will leave. After all it has always been your choice" He snorted now at the thought of weakness he kept showing but he said nothing. He let it be...

Akiko watched as the true Gladiator reared his head, arrogant and domineering. This brute was the one she went toe to toe with where no other could match his personality. Ears flicked in irritation. He spoke to her as if she knew nothing, she was a wolfess grown her mind sharp and her tongue sharper. Akiko was proud, perhaps too proud to even reconsider accepting Gladiator back into her life. But she could not deny the subtle shaking of her legs and the clutching at her heart as if the pieces would all fall back into place...she felt bloodthirsty suddenly. Something that had not come upon her since...well since Legend was young and she tore the ear from that foul brute that entered their terra...hmmm she had almost forgotten about that. But now Legend was gone, sent away in shame. Her heart ached differently for the young bru. Eyes refocused on Gladiator and she growled. "I will not send you away from you home Gladiator, for I know you speak true about this being...home. I would not leave it willingly myself. Stay if you wish but do not falsely think that this is an invitation to follow me like a pup." She knew her own ache when she was away from her pack and could not imagine the feeling of being away as long as Gladiator had been. With that she turned tail and fled into the forest. Her ghostly form evaporating into the trees....
