| Cold Ice turned her head over her shoulder to the scent on the air. She took in the blood small upon the air and the scent of a wolf. She knew who it was so turned and headed for the owner. She stopped next to a tree many feet from the wolf and his kill. "Of all wolves to run into here among the woods. How have you been, Woodland Pride?" | |

| He looked up from his prey. "It is good to see you again. I've been well, for the most part; you?" The carcas momentarily forgotten, he stood upright and turned to face her. Even as he met her gaze, his ears twitched from the sounds of nature; he knew to be cautious even while in the company of friends, as wolves were not the top of the food chain. | |

| Cold Ice nodded her head and glanced around till he stood. "I am well." She looked into his eyes, her own icy yellow hues why she was given her name. Her orbs, some would say, could freeze your soul. "I see you have not joined up with a new pack since last we met." No other scent on him was strong enough to say he had been around any one for awhile. She slowly settled back onto her hances, her ears rose towards him. | |

| He nodded as he sat down as well. "No other tribe has been... interesting enough to stick around with, but then you know I've always been a loner. What about you, Cold Ice? You haven't found a pack to travel with either, have you?" He already knew the answer, but he'd always enjoyed conversing with her. | |

| "I stayed with a pack for a short time. Even had a mate. But it did not last long." Cold Ice shifted her gaze and looked off to the mountains she had come over to be here again. "I also met my brothers, not at the same time of course." She looked back to him, her gaze showing her name. Her eyes seeming to rip past any defence and blazing a white cold into his soul. | |

| His gaze followed hers; he knew which pack she'd been with, but she was gone by the time he met up with them. "Hm, I'm sorry to hear your stay with that pack was short. Are your brothers well?" They locked eyes once again, his will standing strong under her gaze despite the fact that he could never hide anything from her. "Did they all join different packs?" | |

| The small pack Cold Ice had joined for that short time had split apart and disappeared, her mate with them. Her ears rose slowly as he asked of her brothers. Maybe he did not know of the facts when it came to them. "Sidney is well, looking for his lost son. But I did not take the time with Grave to find out any information." She glanced down at his kill but seemed uninterested. She could not stop the thoughts of her birth pack from entering her mind with the talk of her siblings. Being born into what she thought was a loving family and pack life, she found out at six months her family was anything but loving. At least from her father, Bairin. He was an evil male, the lord of darkness and he had tricked her mother. He changed as Cold Ice and her brothers turned six months. What he had done then, killed their mother. Cold Ice shook her head to rid her mind of the past. She had lived her life by rules and number three was ' the past must stay in the past.' | |

| He walked over to her, concern shining in his eyes. "What's wrong?" It was true that he had known her, but she was reserved back then and had told him little, but he knew that privacy was a treasure not to be stolen, so he hadn't asked her back then.
There was no mistaking that he was a loner, and that any time with a pack was for a reason specific to his goals. However, he still cared about those he considered close; he would often think of his own parents and siblings, and Cold Ice would often enter his mind as well. The two had met a year ago, in a similar situation to this, and they'd immediately become friends despite her talking about her past and his not talking about his future. | |

| Cold Ice shook her head. "Nothing." Ice had wanted to be part of a pack but her life had been more of a loner's path. Her tail twitched a bit and curled it next to her leg. Her ears tilted towards him to catch every sound. She knew from the start that he was a lone wolf. He never really cared to join a pack, but they had joined with each other for a few weeks back when they first met. She blocked her mind from thinking of it, the long nights of traveling through that frozen land up North. Though they had become good friends, it was hard for them to talk about much with the past left in the past and the future not here. They would talk simply about the here and now, sometimes the past two or three days. Ice lifted up her front paw and licked at the small teeth wounds from the human trap then looked back to him. "Do you have plans?" | |

| "Not particularly. Thought I might continue headed south" He moved closer to her as she licked her wound. "What happened? Did you get caught in what those pathetic humans call a 'bear trap'?" He'd had plenty of run-ins with the humans, but he knew well enough to stay well enough away from anything that had their unique scent, which had limited his wanderings somewhat. | |
