| Calypso The dark pelted queen lay in the shade of the scrub tree with a heavy sigh. Dusk was falling and her pups, growing so fast...eyes opened and romping in the mouth of the den had finally settled to give her a short break. The tree was within eyesight of her den, she lay there watching, guarding her pups dilligently. Her heavier coat was shedding in the heat of the desert, it was becoming cooler but it was annoying in the fact that it didn't look silky and plush. All that was left was her flanks now and the black coat that was left behind was sleek and shiny. She sighed. She missed Jack....she missed Liar...the pack...the ocean. Calypso was homesick. Not that she didn't appreciate what Despair had done for her. His pack though pretty much kept to themselves. They didn't visit her or befriend her too much. She was tolerated....what more could she ask right? Despair had been kind. Stopping by to check on her now and again. He must have been a good friend to Jack. Jack. Oh Jack. She felt her heart grow heavy with want and she looked off toward the setting sun to hide the moisture that had come to her blue eyes. She was lonely. | |
