All the frilly things in life won't do it for me .. Kazana Kaz

Kazana padded onto the wasteland, her tan pillars carrying her weight without protest. She was running from her past, like she had done her entire life. Her history was hidden, something she never spoke of. If she had ever gotten close to anyone, her past would come back to haunt her. She paused for a moment, her mahogany optics looking over the land, there was nothing really for her here, but still she finally slowed and came to a stop and sank back onto her tri hued haunches. She allowed her mind to wander, wondering if the male she had taken as a mate had followed her, or if he had done what she said and stayed in the pack she had recently left.

Further into her mind she went, further into what she considered to be her history. She had been born to an alpha pair, but she knew from early on that the pack she was born into would not be hers, and she thought right. Her brother, born later on was the rightful runner up to take the throne, and he would when the time was right. Meanwhile, she was forgotten, her parents gave her disgusted looks every time she would walk by them. It did not take her long to realize she was unwanted, and so one night, she left. The mate she had been forced to take, had vowed someday he would follow her, a smirk came to her charcoal kissers as she knew he would never follow after her, and she did not care.

A noise snapped Kaz back into her reality of just where she was, she inhaled deeply through her nares and caught the scent of what had scared her, rising off her haunches she followed after the scent. Not very far away sat a small white rabbit, her stomach emitted a small sound, as if saying ‘feed me’. Her honied optics watched the bunny very carefully for a moment, then swiftly she made her move. The poor bunny was no match, she looked up from her kill, blood stained maw and all, and gave a small smile….

A heavy brute padded across the wasteland, his maw still stained with the blood of his latest victims. His coat was matted and clung to him tightly, covered with the filth of years gone by. He never bothered to wash, except for the occassional dip in whatever water he might come across. It did little to remove the scent of death from him, though. But he didn't mind - it just reminded him of all the things he'd done, and made everyone else around him aware of what he was capable of. Truding through theses barren lands now, though, made his achievements seem quite unimportant to him at the moment. He hungered for fresh meat and thirst made his snakish tongue dry and sticky. Breathing in the scents of the land, he found very little that could satisfy him. This place was as useless as it seemed.

However, as he continued to sniff the air, he caught on to the faint trace of wolf and fresh blood, a scent that did not waft from the desert clan he had just left behind. A loner, perhaps. Tail flicking into the air, Hellscream began moving towards the scent, curious to see who he might find. It was not long before he could see the wolf that he'd sensed, and even from here he could see the bright red stain of blood upon her maw. Licking his lips, he stalked forward, grinning as he neared the femme, his eyes darting hungrily to her catch. It was a small morsel, however, and he knew it would not be worth a fight to steal it from her. Instead, he would just try to find some company in her, and perhaps she knew these lands a little better than he, and could direct him to someplace more fruitful.

As he came nearer to her, he let his forked tongue flick forth, tasting her scent more thoroughly. He could not tell where she came from, or if anyone else was with her, though it appeared she was alone. For once, he didn't bother to scent her for her cycle, as he'd only recently satisfied his needs for a femme underneath him. He was too old to offer his services more often. He snorted to himself, and stopped a few feet from the fae. "Hello there, dove," he rasped with his two-toned voice from hell, "The name's Hellscream. Thought I'd come to meet you, and see if you know anything about these lands." He didn't ask her for her name, assuming she would share it only if she felt inclined to do so. He was the type to share only the information he felt was necessary at times, and he couldn't blame others for doing the same.

(ooc: Oh yeah I am so here, just had some essays to write and stuff >.< plus I have an online class that requires me 6 hours of work per week, and we've been double timing it .. sigh, but anyways, lets see if I can still write ^.^)

Kazana heard faint sounds of paws hitting the dirt, they were getting closer and closer and closer...She smiled softly, not caring about the blood on her maw. As the shadowy figure of the male finally came into her view, she still held her bloody smile in place. She rose a little, leaving what few bites were left of the rabbit on the ground, not caring. Her tan haunchers stained a little with blood, as was a little of the blaze on her chest. Her auds pricked as his lyrics flowed into them, when he finished, she parted her charred kissers and began to speak, her lyrics sweet as honey "Well hello there...I am known as Kazana, but go by Kaz for short..."

She paused for a minute and looked around the terra that surrounded her and the brute. Her nares flared slightly, but she smelled no other scents other than her fresh kill, the brute and whatever smell the barron lands gave off. She slowly brought her tiara back to face the midnight brute, her mahogany optics focused back on his matted coat, but soon it focused on his own dial and she continued to speak "...I do not know much about these lands, I am a newcomer to this particular terra, and yourself?" She finished with a small smile, her maw still as bloody as it was before, her ivory canines slightly showing through her charred kissers, but were just because that was how she smiled, she meant this brute no harm. She waited for him to speak, her tri hued auds still pricked in anticipation.

[right]Hellscream was amused by the way she smiled through the blood of her kill, making no attempt to erase it from her visage. His uneven ears tilted forward as she spoke, introducing herself without hesiation. She did not seem disturbed by the reek he brought with him, nor by the blood on his pelt. He wondered what sort of inner monster lay beneath Kazana's sweet tones and soft eyes. He let his dark eyes travel over her frame, curious about any marks and scars that might be peeking out from underneath her pelt. Then he looked back to her face, enjoying the way she smiled with her canines showing underneath her bloodied lips. He leaned forward, wondering where this little meeting would take the both of them. "A pleasure meeting you, Kazana," he said formally, grinning darkly to her, "I'm new to these lands as well, though I could say I've already been around a bit.." He let forth a raspy chuckle and swished his silver-tipped tail.

Though he'd only been in the lands of FnI for a short time, he'd already caused a small bit of damage, but he'd only been throughout the lone lands and into one pack territory, which was small and unprotected. But he wasn't interested in going there anymore. He wanted to find out what else these lands had to offer, if anything at all, But it seemed he would find out little from Kaz, though she may provide some entertainment for a while. And perhaps she needed a companion. He didn't mind doing things on his own, but company was always nice, so long as he could handle the other's personality. Nothing about her bothered him thus far. Glancing around the barren land for a moment, then settled himself into a seated position, before returning his gaze to her. "What sort of plans have you got for yourself?" he asked, mildly curious as to what she was doing, "Me, I'll probably always remain a rogue, but I'm interested in seeing the pack lands, just for amusement."

His form of amusement might differ from another's, but he didn't bother to specify what he might do while visiting the packlands. He would only be kept happy and entertained if he caused trouble, and he wouldn't mind having a dozen wolves on his tail, ready to rip his throat out. The thrill of it all was what made life worth living. The way he saw it, there was no other purpose in staying alive. Not for mates, nor pups or family. None of that really mattered. All that mattered was how much devestation he could accomplish. That was all he kept track of these days. Everything of the past was nothing but memories that he wished to forget. Pushing any thoughts aside for the moment, he tipped his head, waiting for the lady's response.

Kazana watched, smile still in place and auds perked. She barked a small chuckle herself and shifted her weight slightly, pulling her tassle in close to her bodice. It had been far too long since she had talked to anyone, unless you count the occasional loner she came across while she had been running. The smile faded from as she parted her maw to speak, her lyrics not so sweet, but not harsh either "I wish I knew what sort of plans I had..." Her voice trailed off, her mahogany optics again looked around where they were. The smell of her kill no longer filled her nares when she inhaled, instead she could smell the brute, but it did not bother her. She watched intently as he cocked his dial to the side, and she mimmicked the movement, to be funny. It had been a long time since she had done anything that was so silly, so juvenile. She held her dial cocked for only a moment, then parted her maw to speak, her voice still holding a slightly harsh tone "...I am not sure about the packs here, but I wouldn't deny that it would be something I would be interested in..." she paused and then continued "...For amusement purposes only of course".

Kaz stood to her full height, which wasn't much at all. She had always been the smallest wolfess anyone had met, but she was sure there were smaller ones. She took a step closer to the male, her tassel swaying slightly in a breeze that passed through. It ruffled her tri hued pelt, revealing she had no scars. She had always been lucky enough to not be involved in anything that would cause her to recieve a scar, but she had given a few in her time.

"Do you have any family?" She never liked to ask others personal questions, but there seemed to be something different about this brute, she was curious to see if he would answer or not. She knew she might consider answering the question if he asked her the same. Her auds pricked as they heard a small noise, her mahogany orbs flecked to the direction the noise had come from, it was nothing but a silly bunny. It looked at her and looked at the kill that was under her, and took off. A smile once again graced the femoras maw...

[here I am, sorry for the long wait]

White paws searched their way trough the desolate landscape, kicking up a little dust as possible. Upon long pillars of snow, a brute crossed the land, his visage white as the snow on the top of the mountians, covering his entire body, the only imperfectence the black colouring around his eyes. Thus far he had crossed no-one's path, neither wolf or other animal. Occasionaly he had sensed the presence of lesser beings, hares and such that lived in these worthless waste.

He glanced towards his sides, discerning nothing more than the usual, endless miles of boring hot sand, dotted with the occasional scrub. He wasn't hungy, neither thirsty, he had slept well, but still the journey was more frustrating for him then any one he had undertaken before. Crossing these lands was even more boring then sit down and watch the grass grow. He hungered for entertainment, or some company.

He was just about to give up hope to find anything of intrest in these hallow lands, when he spotted a form in the distance. He lowered his body, staying close to the ground. The wind was with him, or to be more specific, blowing in his face, masking his scent. In the air, he clearly discerned the scent of one of his species, and the metalic tang of blood. A dead one? He jumped up, and started to run, maybe he could help. Or ease the pain...

He thundered of, his long legs striding over the landscape, his pace quickening. Only when he closed in, he could clearly discern the figure was standing, and looked alive. Too bad. Well, at least he now got company. He slowed down, almost walking when he arrived at the femme.

Kazanas auds were still alert, the male who had been in front of her was now gone, taking the stench he carried with him, instead all she smelled when she inhaled was her kill. Her auds picked up on a slight sound and she turned her tiara, her mahogany optics scanning until they landed on the alabaster form of the brute. She smiled once again to the newcomer, who looked like he had been travelling far like she had. She parted her maw to speak, lyrics neutral toned, she meant no harm to this newcomer "..'Ello there..." She finished her statement and moved closer to him, raising off her tan haunches as she did so. Her tassel held no rank and swayed slightly in the breeze.

She stopped and cocked her dial, she was curious about this brute. She was curious as to what he was doing here and what he could possibly want from her. She had nothing to give. That she knew, and she needed no one to tell her as such. She sighed slightly and parted her maw to speak once again, her tone still neutral "...Who might you be? I am Kazana, but you can call me Kaz if you like.." She smiled and as her statement was completed her tone was as sweet as honey, why was she flirting with him? She growled inside of her own mind, there was something going on here, and she did not understand what it might be. She had never thought of flirting with another, her father had always told her it was not something a lady did...

.. That was before her brother came along, she brought her mind back to the present and watched the brute carefully. Her honied optics dancing across both the terra and then back to him. She looked him over carefully, he looked like someone she could spend time with, keep company. Her father on the other hand would not approve of someone like him...She growled in her mind again, she needed to get her parents out of her mind, they had disowned her and now she was going to live life her own way...Her parents were pure, but she .. she was a whole nother story .. and she would not ever speak of her life story to another person, not ever.

He hadn't anticipated such a warm welcome, and instinctivly, he felt that something wasn't right. In the air he could just discern the scent of another male, but that was a fading one. A trap? He almost went into the defensive, but then he realised he had been alone far too long. He chuckled. He then straightened himself, and spoke with his sparkling voice. "Well, nice too meet you Kazana, I am Border." He then sat down, and took her form up. She wasn't large neither small, jus as him. The regular wolf, on the outside. He wondered what she was doing here, and he wanted to ask, but then he reminded that he didn't wanted to answer that question himself. He glanced back to the endless plains of sand around him. He would need water,food and shelter, as he was getting tired of constantly traveling. An oasis would be nice, or some makeshift shelter. The only problem was, he didn't knew of any of these. The sun was shining hard today, and he had been traveling since dawn. Almost daydreaming of cool water, he realized he had to take the gamble. "Do you know of any place with water?"

Kazanas auds took in his lyrics and she continued to smile. He asked her if she knew anywhere nearby there might be water and she remembered not that far away she had found a small stream. She parted her charred kissers to speak, her lyrics still sugar coated sweet "Yeah, there was a place not that far from here..." She walked passed the male named Border, and began to lead the way. She was only 10 paces in front of the brute and she turned her dial towards him, her honied optics taking in his whole form once more, they locked on with his orbs. She beckoned him to follow her with her orbs, she said no more words...

(ooc: this is horrid, but here I is ^.^)

His eyes locked with her, and before he knew, he was wandering behind her, towards where she said there had been water. There was something...odd about hte femme, something he couldn't really place. Curious as he was, he now quickened his pace, and catched up with her, now walking next to her. His two collored head turned towards hers. "Well, what does a lady like you in these wastes?" He wasn't planning for answerring that question himself, so he had no idea why he asked. It was a question that held not much importance, but he just hated to bring up the past, it always felt like opening old wounds.

Kazana watched as he caught up with her, and as they walked she heard what he asked her. She hadn't planned on asking him that, but now that he asked her she was curious. A smile was on her maw as she parted her kissers "I honestly don't know why I am here..." She took a break from speaking and quickened her pace. She soon saw the water come into her line of sight and parted her maw to speak again "..And yourself?" She slowed as the water was getting closer and closer.. "Here we are..." She came to a stop and sank back onto her haunches, her golden optics never leaving his form. The markings of black on his coat were odd, but they were something she liked about him. She waited by the waters edge...Waited for him to answer her question, maybe she could tell him a little of her past, but she wasn't sure yet. Only time would tell...

(Ooc: Thanks .. I try, but lately my muse just hasn't been nice to me at all..lol)

He let out a sigh. Why? Why had he asked her? Stupid! Typicaly him. The flashes of the past where coming up, and started to tear at his consience. The things he had done, he could not speak of it, to no one. His mind was racing to find a suitable answer. Or, to be more precisly, a suitable lie. He couldn't tell her his actual reason for being out here, he couldn't say it no anyone. The more he thought about, the faster and sharper former memories raced trough his head, clawing at his sancity. He felt like he was going to explode

"One moment."he quickly lashed out, before heading to the water, and starting to drink. The cool water brought fresh nourishment to his body, and to his mind, the cold water also flooding away those memories. He bent back up, a bit of water running from his maw. "Sorry, I was quite thirsty." He said while looking back to the femme. White pillars stretched before him, and he turned back. "Well, you could say I am looking for something. What that is, well, I didn't decided for myself what that is, altough..." His eyes scanned over her, her form taking in most of his view. What was it about that femme that made him feel so welcome. He was curious what the future holded for him.

His harsh lyrics hit Kaz's auds and she shuddered softly, not for fear but because it was a normal reaction for her. Anytime anyone had ever been harsh to her, she had shuddered. She was not afraid of anything. "Fear was something that showed weakness" Her fathers voice filled her head and she succumbed to watching the memories flood through her mind and in an instant she felt different. She felt like something in herself would explode. She watched him and took in his lyrics after he drank and she offered a smile and raise off her tan haunches to make her way towards the small bit of water and drank from it. Her bubblegum tongue lapping up the semi cool water with ease and she closed her mahogany optics. The memories flooded through her, leaving her vulnerable. She brought her tiara up from the water, opened her honied orbs and watched the male watching her. She managed to shove all those long lost memories back into their place and she brought herself back to the present. She wasn't sure what to say next, there wasn't anything more she wanted to ask right now and she was leaving it up to him to either continue this conversation or if they were done here...

He turned more towards Kazana, and aproached her, the black side of his head contrasting with the white enviroment. "Well, any idea where to go? I am quite new to these lands, and altough I am already accustomed to live in these parts, I'd like to move on to some lusher parts, with more to eat. and such." He stretched his neck. He wasn't lying, these lands were hard, he was just a little harder. He wanted to move on, to some pck lands or so. The last time he had been in a pack was when. Argh, memories. He clamped his jaws shut, and looked away, trying to conceal the tear that was rolling from the white side of his face. He waited mere moments, and then turned his head back. "Where are you from anyway, can't think of a lady like you being born here."

Kanaza watched him move closer to her, and took in his lyrics. She noticed his jaw clench and she simply offered him a smile. It was a gesture she was not used to, but she knew it was something her father would want her to do .. she thought anyways. As soon as he asked her where she had come from, she sighed and closed her optics, her mind racing trying to find the right way to word things. She began to speak with her lyrics holding a slight harsh tone, watching him for any notification that she should stop speaking "I am not from here, I came from somewhere far away from here and have been running for a very long time" She ended her statement with a small chuckle, and began to continue "I was born an alpha pup .... but didn't want the throne so when my brother came along..." She stopped and sighed again, closed her optics and spoke no more, she had vowed that not many would hear of her past, but something told her that eventually she was going to have to tell whoever she took as a mate down the line....And that was not something she was looking forward too.

Golden orbs narrowed. She hadn't to tell about her past. "It's okay, if you don't want to talk about that. Anyway, I am hungry, what do you think of looking for something to kil.. Erhm I mean hunt." He smiled wide, trying to keep his slight slip of the hook as covered as possible, as hed dind't knew about her way of thinking of "morality" . He really hadn't had much to think of it, he saw no wrong in killing things. But you never knew with those random stranger encounters. His smile widened a little more, without looking manniacal. He then turned onhis heels, his movement suggesting that she could follow. Without taking further concern in her, his eyes scanning the plains for anything to kill.

Kazana listened as Border said that it was okay for her to not talk about her past. She did not speak, instead she nodded her tri hued tiara in response, as if saying she fully understood. She put all the memories and thoughts to rest back in their box again in the back of her mind. She rose off her haunchers as he asked her if they should go on a hunt and her belly slightly growled with hunger. She had killed the bunny, but had not eaten much of him. She sighed, parted her raven kissers to speak, her voice holding the original tone she had with the brute "I suppose we could go on a hunt, it has been awhile since I have eaten minus the small game here or there..." Her lyrics trailed off and she began to move with ease, her muscles still slightly aching, but she willed them to move. All that running had worn her out, but now she was ready to catch something....

[ooc: Sorry this is so horrible..]

"Good." His eyes where still looking for suitable prey. Something that was not to big, but also big enough to feed two grown wolves. He couldn't make out anything decent, until his eyes had fallen on an Bighorn. Perfect. They where quite dangerous, but it was able to take it down with two. "Well, what to say about our good friend mr. Bighorn over there" he said, meanwhile nodding towards the location of the game. "I think we can handle him." He said, his smile still wide. He stretched his legs, everything felt fine, as it always did. He was in top shape, and wanted to prove it. "Well shall we?"

Kaz did not respond, she turned her dial towards where Border was pointing. She watched the possible kill for a moment and she smiled, "I think we shall" .. She kept her smile in play as she ended her statement and began to lope towards where the Bighorn was standing, as she got close she stopped silently. She turned around, and waited for him to follow her...Her azule optics were glued to the brute as she waited.
