| Tired. A single word was able to describe this creature as his body lay on the flat sand like surface. It was hot, but he was used to being in a hot type of climate. Hell, he was used to being in any type of climate. Here though, he was tired, and at last hadn't made any move to pursue any task. Had he finished them all? Had he done everything he was damned to do from a pups age?
Fire. It licked the tip of his tail while he ran with the yearling. They had escaped just barely and even then, the fire tore through the trees like the simple wind would rip through a space between trees, quick, and sometimes deadly. He had been called rouge now, having joined up with a pack in pursuit of happiness. A span of two full moons and then that was gone. Him and his bad luck was the best answer for it. Escape was the only option he had, do not care, just go. He cared, and as such, he had almost paid with his life, instead having lost that of the pack healer. Him and his bad luck. Escape was the only option... he and the yearling had escaped. The others... well they hadn't been seen since.
Quake. Shaking of the ground. Shaking. Shaking... There wasn't much memory to this natural disaster except the homes of the humans was gone. Down in the depths with some of their own loved in there too. How the ground we walk on divide in such a manor, was a mystery, but it was a natural disaster that encased his life, and ruined someone else's.
Fire. Not the licking heat that had chased him for what seemed like miles and days, it was the kind that drilled a hole into your skin and left a permanent scar, and a clicking in the shoulder... a clicking of some human's metal against the bone, but that was it... Pain. Darkness. And the soft touch of a humans hands. A female. A woman. Her silky skin felt so good on his pelt, she had sat there pressing slightly on his pelt to comfort him...
Wind. Simple on a more normal of days. Dangerous on the days that it twisted into the little circle that dropped from the heavens. Not the kind you watch in the tide of a lake where the fish are swimming around in fear from the shadow you cast. But it's the kind that comes down, and instead of pushing... it pulls, pulls everything around you, and unless you see it fast enough... unless you hear it, you get pulled in, and die.
Water. He had come to what was known as the lake. The lake of passing, why wasn't he passing it, why couldn't he cross the river? He didn't have the help he needed, he didn't have the ability to move forward into the waters that would encase his life. Why was this raw and painful truth setting him in a slump to not cross... because he wasn't done.
The sea licked his nose. He wanted to taste it but having it so far off, and being so worn down, he didn't get up to go find where it was. His body was stranded in a lovely position to watch the world pass around him. Single. Alone. Same words different meanings but he was content with his ability to lay here without anything, anyone... no that was a lie. He wanted someone here. A deep breath, the scent of sand, it was nice... relaxing, and oh so very hot...
