That's cool silvers!  This one will hopefully be a bit simpler since you can just select right when you are posting ^^.  I still have to work out a lot of the design and how I want to set things up though!  There's kinda a complicated world-building aspect to it that should be loads of fun to implement ^^

that's really awesome, Starr! there was another site I had found that worked similarly. you had to enter through a portal to go into "character mode", and then go back out the portal to go back into "user mode". it's very interesting and different, but awesome. I'd love to see something like that for our site :D

Haha, yep!  That is exactly how it works.  Each user has multiple characters, and when you go to post you can choose one from a menu to post as.  i still have to work out the view on posting a new response/thread, but that's the general idea =D

Oooo.... So when you go to post... Does it show you the list of characters linked to your 'master account' and you have the option of picking one of them?

And I'm guessing this means there's multiple... umm.... vocab is failing me... mini user accounts to the one master account?

I like the overall appearance. Simple, neat/clean things are aesthetically pleasing to me. XD

Soooo this is what I have so far for the forum view... What do you guys think?

I still have lots of styling to do, but this is the general idea of the layout.  As you can see, you can post either as yourself or as one of your characters ^^


Also, do you have any color scheme suggestions?  I like the grey but am open to changing =D

Lol, I have done so many of these, login and forums are almost done XD I do have to tweak the layout though, it seems a tad small. I have to figure out how I want to arrange all of this stuff!

Heck yes on the updates!!! Hopefully I will be able to get funding from my department to develop it online, but if not then I will probably try to at least finish most of it before putting it up!
(I will be working on it over the summer too getting the basics done so I can jump right in on the complicated stuff when I hit research point. So there will hopefully be stuff to talk about this summer!)

So, I was going to wait to tell you guys about this, but since people are ninjas with the online list o.o.......

HELLO!!!!!!!

Some of you guys remember me, some of you I'm sure don't since I poofed forever ago! Life is still crazy so I prolly won't be coming back to roleplay anytime too soon (believe me, you guys will be the first to know when I can!)

BUT

I am starting my senior year in college next year as a Computer Science major, and for my senior project I am going to be creating a collaborative writing site. It will be specifically set up to allow for easier roleplay in the forums and so that users can write stories/novels together in real time. (Think google docs, but more specialized and awesome).
I don't want to go too much into details, but I am REALLY EXCITED about it! Aaaannnddd..... I want you guys to help me test it out once I get it going!
Also, feedback on things would be wonderful since you people are all wonderful, creative folks.

Would that be of interest??! =D
(Also, I am prolly going to spend the next couple of hours catching up on the roleplays going on here because I MISS YOU GUYS SOOOOOO FRICKIN MUCH!)
