| Sapphire hues pierced the dark veil, the woods were the best meeting place, so shadowed and hidden, he felt at home in such darkness. Oh, these lands, it had been so long, the scent was very familiar. He wondered what had happened since he had been gone, having left the lands for better theatre. These wolves were dark, he had experienced much in these lands, but the cold chill that now trailed him was much more thrilling. It wasn’t just the ancients, Akira in her own right was formidable, he had heard so many stories but to be in her presence. Perhaps in another world, the drake laughed to himself. He had taken his pleasure more than once in those lands, even now he could smell that woman on him. To which the demon lowered himself to roll briefly in the terra, standing again to continue his walk.
She had left him a lasting gift though, Zaiaku had wandered to a small stream after their encounter. And there he washed away the medicine and leaf, cleaning his eye and opening it again. His reflection made the joker cackle, having been to good of a situation. That wench not only left a pretty scar, his once blue hue now shone red. It impaired his vision only slight, it seemed some of the blood had stayed in. Though a curse for what seemed like a small blur when he looked to fast, was a blessing for his image. It was a joke, of course, but the hessian smirked all the same.
Zaiaku had found himself in the company of a brat again, it was that time to visit. And so, as he had promised, the demon would reunite family. Thus, he found himself in Jabbar’s deep woods, with young Ehrgeiz. The bruja hadn’t said much during their time in the mountains, no surprise though, he had only shown up in these lands for one purpose. Well, now his purpose could be fulfilled. To this, the demon turned himself over quickly and peered down at the young wolf. He hadn’t told the young bru where they were going, or why for that matter really, other than that he knew who the boy wanted. He could see her in him so clearly, the attitude was the biggest give away. “So.” Zai spoke slowly, smirking briefly. “It’s time to talk, lets get to know one another better!” The joker teased, he wanted to know the full story before he even went about finding that woman.
(Ooc:Figured we could do just Ehrgeiz Zai before bringing in Bloodeye)

| Ehrgeiz followed Zaiaku tirelessly, although at times he didn't quite know why. The demon claimed to know what he was looking for, and said that he could lead him to that destination... but how was it that he could know? Something in the back of the boy's mind told him to follow the drake, yet he had no clues, and the joker would offer only riddles in response to his questions. It was frustrating, but at the same time, he had an odd and vague feeling that he would be led in the right direction. So without further question, Ehrgeiz had followed the demon out of the mountains and into the deep, dark woods. He would stand and wait patiently as Zaiaku dipped into the stream to wash away the herbs that his latest fling had applied to him. He snorted at the brute. Lucky bastard still has his eye, he thought contemptuously, If only he knew what my mother did to me. Singular blue hue blinked irritably. He would wait again as the brute tried to disguise his scent, though the smell of sex was much too pungent to be washed away so easily.
The further they delved into these woods, the surer that Ehrgeiz became. Though it was faint, he was sure that he could detect his mother's scent on the winds. Could Zaiaku really have known what he was looking for? He could not imagine how, not realizing how much he resembled his dam. It made his chest tighten, unbridled emotion trying to break free from his heart. He clenched his teeth hard, feeling like he might break them if he bit down any harder. He would not let himself lose control, not now. He was drawn suddenly from his thoughts when Zaiaku spoke; snarling, he glared through a single sky blue eye at the male. He curled his lips at the drake's suggestion. "What more do I need to know?" he snapped, claws digging into the earth as he noted the joker's upbeat nature. He seemed to think everything was entertaining. Ehrgeiz was not so easily amused. "Clearly you do whatever you want," he rasped, black-tipped tail lashing, "You follow the calling of every desire you have, and you make it happen. My desire is to find my mother and destroy her. Bloodeye.... I must find her, and it will be the end of her."
Teeth clacking together as he imagined what he would do to her, he cast another glare at Zaiaku. What more did the brute have to prove? If he knew what they were looking for, then why didn't he just lead the way? Why did they have to stop and chat? Did Zai really need to know his entire history before they proceeded? If it was necessary, Ehrgeiz would speak of it, but he would wait for the unbearable joker to speak again, see what he wanted to say and talk about. Perhaps then, they would eventually move forward.

| This whelp had appeared from no where, having joined their merry band of misfits only moments before the show. And at once, the demon had spotted that oh so familiar white coat, a tad creamier than that of the two ice sisters. Akiko & Akira. Perhaps it to was the way he handled himself, a breath of arrogance, as though the world owned him anything. And the fiery attitude, that was the most pronounced. That woman had laid a terrible vex on the joker, used him in such a way as she pleased. It had been good enough that the demon gave her credit, after all she had tricked the trickster. What a whore though, willingly flinging herself to any available hessian. False hopes of taking over, nothing had come of it, at least not for her. Now she bowed, with loyalty no doubt, to the young that ruled the lands of Jabbar. This, this was why he would help Ehrgeiz.
How long had it been? Since he had set mitts on these lands, and trifled with the wolves within. He had never been considered pack, having so often run off on errands of his own. In fact, he was hard pressed to say any of these wolves would be considered pack, he felt more akin to the dead ancient, or the dying ones. These lands of Fire and Ice held no home for him, perhaps because the whole of the land was his. He wondered what had happened since his leaving, what was that young Damien up to, though his nose was catching no scent of the young king. And what of his love? That young fae he had scared so long ago in those caves. All this was paling in comparison to his curiosity for that wretched woman, wondering now if her bastard young were born. That would be a blessing, they could be the first to be sacrificed. To this thought, the demon paused and reflected. They had a problem. So far, only the wolves of Muerta knew of what was to come, but for how long would that information stay within the mountains? A promise from Fenrir such as immortality wouldn’t be taken lightly, and wolves would pit themselves against one another. The demon hadn’t thought of it, until now, and it was a thrilling thought indeed.
Zaiaku had returned to his body, still propped up before Ehrgeiz, who was now speaking. Every desire. Well the bruja was not wrong, the demon did manifest his own reality. Sapphire and ruby hues twinkled in the moonlight, and a smirk creased his kissers. He could see the anxiousness in the boy, and so the demon lifted himself from the terra. “Very well. You shall have the blood of your mother, she’s of no use anyways.” Zaiaku replied without care, turning to the woods. “You have brothers and sisters though, and we must take them with us. Give that frozen queen a show.” Zaiaku was slowly turning his brain, and a devilish idea had wandered in. But first, he would have to find the woman. “Wait here, if you have any desire to fulfil you will not move from here, I’ll bring her to you.” The demon’s tone was firm, and he gave the bruja a serious eye. He knew how stubborn the young could be.
With that, the demon had turned and wandered into the dark. He didn’t need to know the full story, it would be long and boring and filled with youthful hatred. Sure, it could be a fun listen, but the action between mother and son would be far more entertaining. Zaiaku slipped through the dark woods with ease, feeling at home in the darkness. He needed to approach carefully, finding Bloodeye on her own wouldn’t be easy, and speaking with any of the others was out of the question, they would expect answers that he wouldn’t give. He could only hope the woman was wandering the land, removed from the group. The drake wandered to the forest edge, his midnight frame blending well under the lighting. His hues pierced through however, and searched intently over the land for that familiar white coat. | |
