| Amongst other talents, the black hessian was great at reading others. He knew what sadistic thoughts coursed through the fem's head, it made him smirk in spite, but something within him admired it. Almost fell for it, and believed in it. Something within him felt submissive to this woman, and that plagued the bruja. Physically, Zaiaku radiated dominance. It was sly and playful, and definitely sadistic, rather then brawn and bark. He had learned at a young age to get his way by using words, where as his siblings proudly displayed their muscles. Not to say he was a scrawny male, the bruja could hold his own. Why fight when one could convince the other his way? The joker would never show it, in any shape or form, but to her his eyes would show everything. Some part of him was the submissive little b.itch to Bloodeye. The murmured name made his chest tighten, and a low growl escaped him. It was of attraction not aggression, and a smirk danced across his maw. Darling. That petname made the smirk stay for a bit longer.
Zai stood from his haunches, his ocean pools following after her, as though they were chasing her down. He allowed her to move ahead a while, before following after her scent. It would prove to be entertaining, and he wondered what Akiko had to say about everything. What with all that has happened, and yet selfishly Zai was really curious about how she felt about him. It always came down to that, the bruja was innately vain. Not to an extreme extent, it was subtle. The joker took his time, leisurely following after Bloodeye. He imagined they would be the last to show up, which made him lest interested in being there any earlier. Slinking in behind Bloodeye, his gaze moved over the wolves. Where was the young king? He had already grown fond of the boy, at that the hessian stifled a chuckle. Oceans looked Bloodeye over, watching her closely. Auds flicked at her lyrics, and although his features remained flaccid, inside he was a bit startled. Akiko did look worn and tired, but Zaiaku knew this wasn't likely to stop her. She wasn't the type to let lyrics like that slide. Instead of stepping in, the hessian threw on a smirk and watched intently.

| He had heard the call but didn't undersstand what it meant till Rawbones said something about going to Akiko. He hadn't seen her yet either! He gracefully followed after Rawbones, for being a pup yes, he was slow, but he was growing and it felt good to get himself moving again. They came into the clearing and familiar scents popped in and out of his mind matching faces to their marking traits. He walked up to Rawbones, having fallen behind him as they trotted over towards Akiko. It seemed the time for silence, for her to talk, and he slowly walked over and sat down semi close to Rawbones but not too close. Maybe it was cause he was getting grown up that the indepence of himself started to show. His eyes landed on a white fem who Zaiaku trained hehind, her words were something that made his hair rise a little. What did she mean? He understood there was supposed to be an alpha or a leader of some sort but what did she mean by Akiko handing it to her. Was this going to be a bad thing? He didn't know this lady so he didn't understand what her motives of this action meant but he would probably soon find out. His eyes left this scene and traveled to the other wolves walking in. Blade. Petra. He knew them, he knew Balthier too, and he was already there. He liked him. Damean then looked at Akiko waiting for her to say something to all of them about why she called them there.... | |

| Akiko was pleased that most were coming in quickly at her call. They needed to get things sorted and organized. It was then that Bloodeye entered the scene and if the she wolf's body language wasn't enough to raise her hackles then her provoking words were. Scarred and emotionally drained she might have been but at the spark if insinuation her blue eyes lit up instantly, her ferocity pushing to the surface, body straightening to appraise the wolfess. Akiko felt her body getting tense, Bloodeye's sickly words reverberating in her skull. Except for her eyes the beta kept her expression neutral, her voice under tight control. "Need I remind you of your words in Midnight Bloodeye? And conversely my words if a problem should arise?" Akiko stood stark still watching her. Akiko had pronounced that she would be killed by the pack should she provoke problems. There would certainly be no way to ever completely stop this fem short of death but perhaps she just needed to be reminded of her place every so often. Her temperament seemed to get worse when she was around that hessian. She was sure that they were together though she did not know whether to call them mates or not. She had seen them in the shadows whispering to each other and wolves who secluded themselves from the pack like that were suspicious. There was a charge in the air between them and she felt the eyes of the rest of the pack watching them. What would Bloodeye hope to gain from this confrontation? Because Akiko would never step down and by putting herself in this situation Bloodeye was bent on embarrassed or a fight, unless she had enough diplomatic grace to come down from this. | |

| Her eyes were focused on Akiko only, ignoring the fixated gazes of other wolves, including Zaiaku. A twisted smirk pulled up the corners of her lips when she saw Akiko's eyes flash like lightning at the sight of a challenge. Bloodeye's hackles rose excitedly, and she forced herself to settle a bit; she did not intend to leave a single scratch on the femme before her, but her heated blood was getting the best of her. Then the Betess spoke, and Bloodeye narrowed her crimson oculars, ears flattening as she snorted. "How could I forget?" she asked, then gave a sly look, "I'll always have your back, Akiko.. Surely you don't think I'm here to cause a problem?" Before either of them could say another word to each other, Bloodeye whisked herself away from the Betess, unable to handle the tension between them without exploding. She was pumped with agitated energy, and she didn't know what to do with herself. She moved toward Zai, about to place herself next to him, but then decided she couldn't sit down just yet. She paced around the wolves that had gathered, avoiding making eye contact with any of them. She was restless, and wanted to snap at someone, but this was her pack and she didn't want to disrupt it with such mindless violence. Maybe Akiko would continue the meeting without acknowledging her, and send her away to do something afterwards. Yet, things had just begun to settle down around here after chasing out those rogues, so it wasn't likely that there was much left to be done. Bloodeye refrained from letting loose a growl, then turned and paced some more. She couldn't help but glance at Damean as she passed by the whelp. Her eyes lit with something other than fury when she looked at him, and she felt some tension leave her when she breathed in his scent. The tip of her tassel waved and she blinked playfully at him, then moved over to Zaiaku, seating herself at his side. She felt like she was going crazy, and hoped she hadn't put him off with her impulsive attitude. She didn't look at him as she usually would, instead, she focused on Akiko, though the look in her eyes was more distant as thoughts ran through her mind.. | |

| Gladiator watched from where he laid behind Akiko... He growled a little as the conversation with Bloodeye seemed to agravate him a bit. The fea was a bit push and he knew it. He remembered her words from before. He knew the deeds her and her brute carried out. The innocents killed in the name of Jabbar. He snorted letting his icy blues follow the fea back to where she needed to be. He looked at Rawbones then to the young king. He could feel himself growing bored of this place. Yes he loved it but it was full of nothing. Empty. Akiko showed no interest in him any longer so why must he stay. He could feel what little emotion he did hold seem threw him. He felt weak at that moment but snapped out of it as quickly as he fell into it. He waited for her words as he laid his massive crown on his mitts. He licked his chops as his white blood pools scanned over the wolves around him. | |

| Damean watched something heated between the two females. He didn't quite understand why he even understood but he was sure it was because they were two dominate natures wanting some sort of power. Akiko wanting it to befall unto him and Bloodeye wanting it so things could move along. They were all after all just sitting, waiting... His eyes were scanning all the wolves when they landed on Gladiator. He wanted to talk to him. He looked at Rawbones then back to Gladiator. "I'll be back" he said with as much bravado as he could muster and then stood walking over to the massive white male. He was big, Gladiator, and he didn't know the history between his father and this brute but he was determined to find out, he wanted to find out everything about his mother and father... When he came closer to the bru he smiled to him and sat a bit away as to not to intrude personal space. "Hello..." he said softly and kept his puppish smile on his face. "I was wondering, if you wouldn't mind, can I ask you some questions?" his little blue eyes watched him with interest, this brute seemed interesting, he seemed to be here but not here, he seemed to be a shadow amongst all the wolves here, barely talking, just watching... "Do you always do that?" he asked softly feeling slightly shy. "Do you always watch what everyone's doing? Does that make a good leader, watching? You seem like you'd make a good leader, like Akiko does... not commanding but watching, waiting, analyzing everything..." Damean looked at Akiko then back to Gladiator. She was so small compared to this brute before him, and it was weird to actually think that there were so many shapes, sizes, and colors to the wolves here... Like how Navi and he were different. He was black and she was a dark but tri hued colors... And Echo was just pure white, like Akiko, and Gladiator. That was weird too. How she wasn't of their blood but they were the same looking. Damean looked like his father. Black fur with blue eyes, though within those eyes there were green flecks of his mother. Where would his body turn into he wasn't sure, maybe like his father, large and strong, built for battle not so much for speed unless it was the chase of the hunt, or like his mother, an expert for a spy's best friend, the sleek and toned body to sneak and creep without being noticed. His attention was on Gladiator as he wanted for the bru to speak... | |

| Akiko held eye contact with Bloodeye until she broke it snorting and snapping the thick tension. Akiko highly doubted that she would pick this fem for the first one to watch her back. Eyes followed slowly as the agitated fem stalked off seemingly discontent with her situation in the pack. Watching her a moment more she snapped her cool facade back to the pack members, her ear flicked back she could almost feel the irritation rolling off of Gladiator. Clearing her throat she continued. "I would to like to have a count of our wolves as well as any major damages sustained. I would also like to make sure that all of the wolves have gotten back to Midnight safely. We need to assess where the pack stands." Idly she noted the smaller form of Damean Junior shifting around the circle to speak to Gladiator. She wondered what the pup would be interested in. "We must also discuss a heightened security measures for the borders. Questions or comments?" She just wanted this to be over with. All this tedious work of an alpha grated on her but she would never dream of placing the power of someone else. | |

| Balthier hadn't moved from his spot, making sure his assistance wasn't required. After Akiko finished, he said, "I am able to linger a while longer before returning to Midnight Meadows if you require more help. Otherwise, I'll go now." He was worried about his brother, but he was with the pack. Not always the safest place to be, but he trusted the pack's strength and in his brother's abilities. "One idea to consider, Akiko," he said as his gaze turned to Damean. "Damean's at a time where his curiosity and questions can help the pack find weaknesses or even give you an idea in some pack discussions- such as heightened security- if he follows the discussion. Of course, what discussions he attends, or if he does at all is up to you, his guardians, and Damean himself." He thought back to when he recently interacted with the young, growing wolf who was curious about other roles. If he were to be curious about that, he might be also interested in pack functions. Blade listened intently, his body completely still. Earlier, he had been pleased to be able to ignore Bloodeye, although if she kept this up, he might end up chasing her out himself. His eye unconsciously drifted to the young Damean, just to make sure he was fine, before observing the other pack members Akiko was finished. "Comment, Akiko," Blade spoke up after Balthier, "If it's possible, it could be efficient to assign some of us to temporarily take charge of any lesser aspects of what you need done, which would give you more mobility to oversee, time to plan, and whatnot." He was well aware of how Akiko usually functioned, but by now, she should also be used to how he functioned, too. His intent was merely trying to be efficient and reduce if only a few of the small stresses that build up. Being loyal to the late Damean found Blade becoming loyal to those who also stuck by Damean's side the whole time. Not being interested in the duties of alphas or betas, he could only guess some of the tasks less in priority and tasks that were actually able to be spread out among the pack. | |

| Upon listening to Akiko's words after the disruption, Petra glanced over to Blade who made his suggestion. She hoped he wasn't thinking about taking on any more tasks, for what he really needed was to just lay down and rest. Then the bashful healer stood up to make her own suggestion. "Akiko, I would like to remain around our pack dwelling," she said, "I can keep the area secure and quiet while the wolves that need it can rest." She glanced around, her gaze landing on Blade with a look telling him he needed to stay behind for now and rest his body. Then she looked away. The pack seemed much smaller than it had ever been, almost to the point of being lonely. And it certainly didn't feel as safe as it had in the past, with a few wolves of quesitonable loyalty lingering around. Still, she would do her best to keep things under control while someone fit patrolled the borders, or hunted for the rest of the pack. But the biggest concern was keeping Damean with someone trustworthy, who could also protect him if ambushed. She didn't want to be left wiht such a responsibility, feeling the pup was most likely safer around Akiko or Gladiator at the moment. "As for Damean, it seems he is yearning for adventure and knowledge," she mentioned, "I think it would be best for him to perhaps tag along with you, wherever you might need to go." She didn't like to make such a bold suggestion, but it was her assessment of the situation for now, and it seemed most other wolves were too tired to make any decisions right now.Bloodeye looked around blankly as the pack discussion continued, and the typical concerns arose about pack security and duties. Though still agitated, she had to yawn. Action needed to be taken. She was bored of the questioning. Flicking her tail, she looked around at the small, weary bunch that were gathered with Akiko. The pack had dwindled considerably, it seemed. Huffing boredly, she looked up again, watching Akiko. She listened between Balthier, Blade and Petra as they put in their two cents. Who would fulfill the duties required? She knew she could do anything she was asked to do, but what about the pack's reputation and power amongst the rest of the lands? Jabbar seemed like hardly a dot on the map now, and it was worrisome. "What about recruiting?" she said aloud, "This pack's numbers have become quite sorry." Her statement was blunt but not derisive, merely stating her opinion without feeling. She fell silent again, wondering what was to become of Jabbar at this rate. | |

| His mind had wandered to more important things then the thoughtless wolves before him, and the cunning bruja remained quiet during the whole meeting. It seemed a joke after all that had happened to the lands, they lay bare and empty, now that only a handful of wolves remained. Two of which, a quick smirk crossed his maw, were considered untrustworthy. Oh, Zai was sure of that. None of the wolves around trusted him, and they were smart in that sense. He couldn't blame them either, he had done what he had to do to survive, some of which seemed to go against the real wolves of Jabbar. Then again, its not like he had any loyalty to them before. Upon his arrival there had been no alpha, and only one vixen had bothered to tell him anything interesting. Zaiaku saw the eventual destruction of the pack upon treading its borders, it was likely what kept him interested. Sick. The black bruja smirked once more to himself, before finally turning his attention to the little 'meeting'. He had ignored Bloodeye's little show, while it had been amusing, it was clearly the wrong time. Ocean hues drifted over to the woman as she returned to the spot next to him, his mask remained blank. He only had to hear the brief low growls, and general mood of the bruja's around to know she had annoyed them, and for that Zaiaku brushed himself against her lightly. Blue lanterns continued to watch the scene play out, he listened as the white fem acted out her roles. Listened as her lemmings commented and suggested, it was all so adorable. | |

| The first to speak was one from Midnight, Balthier, if she remembered correctly. He had aided them well during their whole campaign. She listened to him speak and merely nodded her head to his advice. Damean would have to start paying attention to the pack eventually whether he liked it or not. This was his father's legacy and if he would take it then someone else would. She was hoping he would prove to be a dominant wolf as he grew. Eyes flicked over to Blade as he spoke. She trusted Blade as she trusted Petra and even Gladiator. Again she nodded her head. "I may do that Blade once I have a full accounting of everything." And finally everyone was speaking now Petra next. Volunteering herself to guard the den area. "I find that agreeable. You shall also be charged with keeping any needed supplies in inventory. Fall is coming and I would like to have spots marked out to bury extra stores of meat that are safe and close to our den site." As well as some that are scattered about the pack lands..just in case..but i'll handle that personally.. "Damean will be well looked out for by myself and a select few until he is big enough to handle himself." Though Akiko knew well enough that it was not size that always counted. Despite Bloodeye's earlier remarks she listened to her counsel as well. Though she did not like the idea of the she wolf going to get recruits herself. If she was to set someone to the task it would probably be Gladiator or someone else. "A wise idea though we must be careful to keep our current pack close to us. We can probe the lone lands in due time for more members."
It seemed that everyone was finished speaking so she continued. "Blade I want you to run a perimeter to the west, and Zaiaku to the east until you meet again. Mark the terra strongly, keep an eye out for anyone. Also my brother is sending two wolves here, old family friends of ours so if you happen to see them let them pass unmolested. As for anyone who you deem poses a threat, send up a howl and tear them to shreds." Her tones were sharp. It was time that this pack brought some serious heat back into its foundation. Soft they might seem to others but it was time to show everyone they meant business.
"Gladiator." She spoke shortly over her shoudler. "I would like to speak to you about your family as soon as possible." Looking to the she wolf again she said curtly."Petra, as you see to your own medical supplies and to the guarding of the densite I would ask that you see that the dens are all clean and in suitable condition when you have a moment." "Bloodeye I would like you to scout out some prey for us so that we may convene on a pack hunt after everything is in order." Glancing finally back to Balthier she nodded her head. "Balthier we have appreciated the assistance that you and Midnight Meadows have given us but I believe it is time for you to return home. Give my regards to your alpha. Blade and Zaiaku will escort you to the border where they will both proceed with their duties." Scanning her pack she felt that this was enough measure for the time being.

| Balthier listened to the exchange of words from the others, glancing toward Petra, hearing the implications. Blade did need to rest at some point, but on the other hand, patrolling should be light. There was no time for rest if there were capable wolves. Of course, he wouldn't place Blade on the list of those not injured, but he didn't need to be confined to long term rest. He could empathize with Petra to an extent. As a healer and for personal reasons, she'd rather her mate stay closer to the den area. He nodded at Akiko's words. He'd return to the pack and report. Petra was a good healer and could take care of everyone. "Then I shall see you if we are to meet again, Akiko." Turning towards Damean, he questioned, "Shall I send greetings to your friends in Midnight, Damean?" Communication with friends in different packs would probably be important to younger wolves, as time seemed to move slower to them. Of course, he wasn't yet aware of the fact he had another friend other than Navi, and both of them weren't in the lands. He grinned in a farewell to him before slowly turning back to Blade, giving the younger time to respond if he so wished. Blade remained still, taking the information around them in. He caught Petra's look towards him, and faintly shook his head, in a gesture to say he wasn't intentionally going to do anything strenuous. After Akiko assigned him to patrolling and territory marking with Zaiaku, he turned to his mate again and reassured her, "I doubt I'll encounter anyone. Patrolling is light. I'll do my best to keep away from heavy work." He affectionately nuzzled her before stepping away to start his duties. He glanced over at Balthier, seeing him speaking to Damean, but turning around. Flicking his tail he turned in the direction of Midnight Meadows to start his patrol. Balthier wouldn't take too long speaking to the youngest of their pack, so he'd walk slow enough for the other to catch up. He half expected Zaiaku to just go off to start, or linger with Bloodeye for a bit. | |

| Damean had gotten the note he wouldn't get answers from Gladiator so he had proceeded to sit with pack while Akiko told everyone what was to be done here and there. When Balthier spoke to him Damean's face lit up as only a pups would. "Oh yes please, will you tell Navi and Echo I haven't forgotten about them, and I miss them very much." He smiled but he felt the need to go to Akiko. "Travel safe!" he said as his body turned and he trotted over to Akiko. He didn't know what to say, what to do so he sat there in silence while he watched everyone stand and start on the duties that were to follow her words. "What can I do?" he finally asked peaking over to Rawbones. He wanted to sit with Rawbones and talk, he liked talking to him, he wanted to hear stories, more from Akiko and Rawbones, Blade and Petra. He would learn more if he asked more... | |

| Hermano gallops at his sister Hermanas hind paws. He occasionally snaps at a twig or bug.
Hermana sighs and rolls her eyes at her brothers antics. They needed to focus! She sits down at the edge of the Jasper territory and howls loudly, announcing their arrival. |

| ((Soon I'm going to nudge Balthier along, just to keep things moving on my end)) Blade kept walking, nearing Jabbar's border. As he approached, it seemed they already had visitors. Luckily, they were near his current location. Looking back, he saw Balthier following him. His gaze jerked back to his right, the direction of the howl. They were very close. Just beyond those trees there. Without a word, he stalked off in that direction. His steps were silent, and he barked out sharply as he appeared from behind a tree, "Who are you, and what is your intent among these shadows?" They were young. Grown, but still young, and he didn't have time to waste on pure wolves who didn't know these lands still had darkness, despite how unusual Jabbar Junayd was viewed.
Balthier had nodded to Damean, letting him know he heard, and followed Blade, who was as non-talkative as was normal during their journey to the border closest Midnight Meadows. He missed his brother, and wondered how he fared.
Upon reaching the border, he heard a loud howl. It was loud, because he and Blade were close. He blinked when Blade suddenly change his direction towards the howl. He wasn't part of this pack, but he was also nosy. He could see the sandstorm in the lone lands, off in the distance near Midnight Meadows. It was excuse enough for him to linger. There were no problems for him to travel in such conditions, as he'd done so many times before, but he followed Blade anyways, keeping just as silent in his steps. When he saw the not even yearlings, he almost glared at Blade, whose naturally fierce orange eyes might scare the pair of wolves for Fenrir's sake! Still, he didn't say anything, because that's how those of the darkness worked, and they were probably still stressed from what happened. He sat back to watch, curious to see Blade at work. He'd known they were very different when socializing, but to this degree with strangers was interesting. He glanced back out of the lands, keeping track of that very far away sandstorm while listening. His own light grey eyes avoiding meeting the gaze of the newcomers. It wasn't for him to interfere with their conversation.

| Hermana cowers away from the gaze of the bru. "We were hoping to join this pack. I'm Hermana, and this is Hermano, my brother."
Hermano jumps at his sisters voice and turns to face the newcomer. "Hi! I'm Hermano! Who are you?" He jumps around. |

| Blade let his gaze bore upon them, smirking a bit at their discomfort, or at least the young female. The male reminded him of a certain brother of a wolf he knew... He avoided looking at Balthier, who he knew was behind him. He wasn't about to introduce himself to wolves when he didn't know they'd commit to staying here, so he said, "First, tell me where your hearts lie. Advice, since you are still young: Muerta we are not, but we can be just as... sinister. The wolf behind me will guide you to a more suitable pack if you don't hold the shadows to your heart." During his last two sentences, he took a small step forward. It wasn't in a threatening way, but it wasn't all that gentle either. | |

| Hermana stands up straighter, trying to be more dignified then Hermano. "We're neutral. Well I am, while hes annoying." She throws her brother an annoyed glance.
Hermano leaps on a butterfly, completely ignorant of Blade and Hermana, along with the world around him. |

| He stares at Hermana before saying slowly, "I'm Blade. Your neutrality will be shrouded with darkness here." Blade turned his attention to Hermano, stepping in front of his vision, and lowering his gaze to the other's level, sneering at him, "Some of us aren't tolerant of grown wolves behaving like foolish whelps. Some of us bite first, ask questions later." Backing up, his gaze grew colder as he said, "If you agree with these terms, come," and he turned back to Balthier, saying, "Your pack will expect you soon."
Balthier knew that was Blade's farewell to him. Apparently, he'd been able to open a little to a wolf with... similar skills, but he closed himself back off near strangers. It would have been weird if Blade was sociable, anyways. It was probably for the best. "Until our paths cross again, then." He turned towards the lone lands and started to leave...

| Hermana steps infront of Blade. "No one makes fun of my brother!" She turns her head see she can see Blade and Balthier. "Sir, may we come with you?" |

| Blade swiftly sidestepped Hermana when she tried to get in his way. She was too young to be troublesome for him, nor did he care at the moment. This pack didn't need those who whine, can't focus, or unable to deal with negativity. He had tried to warn them, but clearly they mentally were too young, after all. They'd fare better with Balthier. Although once he was out of sight, he still lingered, listening, and waiting to see what Balthier would do. He did have to make sure the pair of wolves left if they really weren't joining.
Balthier paused in his step, turning back to... did she say her name was Hermana? His gaze rested on the pair. Walking back to them, he stopped nearby and said, "You two really didn't know this was a dark pack, did you? Don't blame him for his words. He's not sociable, so you have to be good at interpreting. Wolves of darker hearts have... their ways to testing. Words that he said would be something one in such a pack could easily take at face value and not personally."
Looking in the direction Blade had gone, and knowing he was still nearby, Balthier continued, "But if you must, come with me, and I'll bring you to the lands of the Black Pearl, where the pack there will understand you better than my, or the other pure pack." The neutral pack was out of his way, but there was no storm in that direction. He didn't plan on bringing two almost yearlings with him through a storm to Midnight Meadows. They'd fall behind, because Balthier wasn't going to slow down. He'd already have more sand in his pelt than he'd like, which meant a long time cleaning it out. There was no way he'd allow any more sand than necessary. "So here's your choice now that you understand. It's here, the dark pack of Jabbar Junayd, or the neutral pack of the Black Pearl."

| Hermanas tail taps on the ground. "Thank you Mr.! I never caught your name." She tilts her head and steps toward him.
Hermano copies his sister and steps toward Balthier. |

| He smirked lightly, saying, "It's Balthier. It's a distance across the lone lands, but you'll find a home with them. Shall we, then? I'd prefer to get home before night falls." He changed his gaze to look past his temporary charges, towards the shadows of the trees. Then as soon as he looked, he turned away again. His eyes would be unreadable to the siblings. Turning back towards the lone lands, this time, in the direction of the Black Pearl, he nodded at the pair, silently telling them they were departing now.
As they walked further from the lands, he said, "Some information so you know what to expect. The Black Pearl are lands saturated with the scent of the ocean. From what I heard, it's peaceful to stare out into it. They normally would rather keep out of the clashes between pure and dark wolves... for obvious reasons."
((my next post will be in the Black Pearl and we'll continue from there))

| Akiko looked down at Damean Jr. and smiled softly. "Your job is to stay safe my prince." She leaned down and nuzzled his face gently. Everybody was going about their business as expected. Gladiator didn't seem ready to speak yet so she would hold their conference for a little while. She knew Damean would miss his friends from Midnight but it would not be good for him to linger on his time there. Looking down at him she smiled softly but her blue eyes were still cold. "Tell me Damean, who was your father and mother?" It would not be good to let the young pup forget who's blood flowed in his veins. He would need to be fierce to lead here and she hoped that he had his fathers strength as well.

| Blade watched them leave, glad to see the pair of young wolves leave. They wouldn't have done well here at all, and he didn't understand why Balthier had tried to sooth any ruffled fur. They weren't cut out, and it was as simple as that. If they didn't like him for that, it was their problem. As he turned to continue securing the borders and remarking, he wondered if it was some weird habit of pures to try to understand where everyone's coming from in their walks of life. He turned his attention to his current task, as there was no point in reflecting any more upon trivial matters. He kept alert for any other wolves, but everything was quiet again. | |

| ~A very large black fae wolf slipped through the shadows of the land, her nostrils breathing in the dark air. She had caught the scents long ago of a pack, but they where becoming stronger as she continued her travels. Ice hues flash in the air as she dipped her muzzle, barely brushing the ground with her inhale before she lifted her gaze again and rolled her shoulders slowly in her thought. The huge fae hasn't tangled with a pack in for so long, she wondered how one might perceive her. A soft snort was given free as her mind locked on a simple thought; Let them come, then. Her lungs fill slowly and her chest expands, the silver glints in her fur seen shifting before a powerful howl was blasted loose through the forest towards the direction the scent was from. The fem had stopped before the territory line and would rather be acknowledged than become a possible threat. A slow ridden note carried along on the otherwise silent air, cascades and falls occurring naturally before the request to enter faded into the air. The necessary information was there; a single fae deep timbre howl with the simple question. Who shall come to see fit for her to either pass through, or to send her the way she came to find a longer way about the territory. She stood with her thick tail flicking behind her, auds twitching in the cool air.~ | |

| She listened as she moved through the lands invisible to all eyes. Voices new and old, echoing through her she paused to focus on one. A familiar voice of a fem. Moving that way, a soft cool breeze would stir about Akiko and Damean Jr.
It warmed her to hear Akiko reminding her son where he came from. She moved and sat beside her son. Growing more and more every day. She wished she could be there to teach him, to nuture him...to love him. But alas...it was all she could do to stay and watch over him from afar...unable to touch...unable to talk....no matter how much she whispered her love for him he would never be able to hear more than a soft whispering of a breeze or the rustle of a grass.
She sighed. It was almost like torture for her to be able to be here and watch him but never get to be a part of his living. Though as much as it hurt she would have it no other way. If she coudln't be there in the flesh then she would watch him grow from a far and try to be there in silent support of him always.
