"Yana," he said, giving them his name, and was about to say more when brute, led by Amor, came along, asking who Chimera was. His eyes narrowed a fraction until Chimera said her brother was a jokester. Was the pause too long to have been an innocent joke? It was around the borderline for the average response time, and he couldn't tell. The story could be true, and it wasn't uncommon that siblings didn't look similar, especially if they were half siblings.

Flicking his tail, he said, "I will wait until you're finished with your reunion before we discuss your arrival further." Chimera would probably know he'd be watching them. At the very least, this Niko wasn't going to stay if he was just a messenger for this sister of his. He would be sent straight back once the two were finished talking. He walked where Amor was, who was a short distance away, and within sight and just within the border of normal speaking range. His gaze rested on Amor, now clearly displaying his distrust. If what they said were true, most aspects would be closer to the extremes of the realm of possibility. That in itself was possible, but enough to not be ready to fully believe them.

Chimera’s smile lit her golden eyes when Nikos answered. Perfect. She would laugh lightly, a genuine laugh of pleasure and her tail would sway gently echoing the movements of Nikos’ own. “You did. You did indeed.” Auds would flick forward at Nikos and then he introduced himself to the others and herself as it was. He wasn’t stupid it seemed…well at least until he didn’t answer her question. Her eyes locked with his. Lie…they seemed to say but she wouldn’t let another moment pass before speaking. “I am sure she sent you to see how I was fairing in her task?” She would glance back at Rob and Ajax and would smile. “I have found some who are willing to take her up on her gracious offer.” Before looking back to Yana and smiling sweetly.

“Thank you Yana…I appreciate your graciousness. It will only take a moment. Please forgive my rudeness to speak with Niko. It has been long since I have seen him.” She would say and then reach over and nip at Nikos shoulder playfully, much like a sister would. “Come brother. I need to ask of you something.” She would move just out of earshot, brushing gently against Rob as she would walk by and look at Nikos keeping the smile upon her face and making it seem as if they were having normal conversation.

“I would ask you something Nikos.” Her lips would curl at his name, he who she called brother. “Can you take my two charges back with you? That way our queen has something to start with.” She would give a soft laugh keeping her voice low though so all that anyone would hear with even the most keen of hearing would be soft mumblings. “I am sure you can get them home in one piece. I would be most displeased if I find either of them fell upon hardship. Especially Rob.” She would say and wag her tail lightly giving the impression that they were having enjoyable conversation. “Do not fail me or your queen.’ She would say and would lean in and nose his cheek like a good sister would. “I don’t know how well these lands will offer up their wolves to me…your timing was unfortunate though I am glad you are here to take my charges home.”

She would glance over at Rob once more and smile and then look at Nikos for his reply before she would move back toward Rob to talk with him. The sooner they left her alone the better…then she could work. She hoped Rob would take it well.

Amor stopped just short of the group. For whatever reason, he just saw no need to drop in. The bru was a big boy, he could walk a few meters by himself without doing anything more suspicious, couldn’t he? Being this close, his powder blue orbs saw the group that had been with Yana was more of a rag-tag squad. They all looked to have very different personalities, and he still didn’t get the relationship between all of them. Nikolaos and the femme Chimera seemed closer to being partners rather than family, and definitely looked like they had not seen each other in a long time…or possibly never at all. Amor wasn’t really sure what to think of them; he just knew he wasn’t a fan. Niko and the femme seemed to have requested some privacy to converse, as Yana left their presence and began to walk towards Amor. Still looking at the group, he spoke aloud. “They don’t look like any trouble, but there’s not much good about them. I mean, they just don’t seem right. It’s like their image is scripted.” The two wolves were talking and exchanging mannerisms, but all Amor could here was silence from them. They looked to be having a light-hearted, normal conversation. He cut to the chase of what he was thinking and turned to face Yana. “They’re normal, but they’re trying to act too normal. They have a mission in being here. I have no idea what, but they do. What do you think? What should we do?"

Yana snorted at his words, but not in a disrespectful way towards his packmate, saying so only Amor could hear, "They're not 'too normal'. They're almost too extreme to be normal. Two have a strong smell of Tirisfal, the younger brute and whelp. The whelp doesn't smell of either of the two. The one you guided here... she says they're siblings. They don't look similar enough, unless they only share one common parent. He took a while to acknowledge their relation as siblings. Short enough that it could be true, but long enough to raise some suspicion. Truthful or not, this Niko isn't staying, because he seems to merely be a messenger of the pack they are from, so I care not about him."

Keeping his eye on the interaction between all four of them, he continued in his low tone, "Why would two members of Tirisfal follow Chimera to come here for a few days? Would a pure pack really allow one of their whelps with another young pack member and a stranger? An offer from a distant queen is so extreme, yet within the realm of possibility despite the lack of alliance. Add this to the other 'extreme' explanations, though, this becomes less believable, especially since said queen wasn't mentioned. For sure this isn't the queen from the dark pack Muerta. I've spied on the organization of some lands including theirs before settling for this pack. She doesn't carry that scent."

These suspicions he voiced were mostly because Amor seemed to have similar disbeliefs as he did, and flicked his tail in annoyance. "What mostly tipped me off was this 'Niko' fella. He may be convincing to the simple minded and oblivious, but such amateur acting can't completely fool one more skilled with the art. Chimera is more difficult to determine, though, though that may be due to my own disuse of trickery and deceit. She is more skilled and talks more smoothly. But, if he's lying, she is, too, to some extent. If you get a chance to talk to her, see if you can find any inconsistencies. We need proof to cast such suspicions. For all we know, this group is innocent of deceit. Although, if I didn't have an alpha to consider for, I'd have already killed them for the slightest suspicion." Perhaps his side of him was dormant from residing with a neutral pack that didn't want, or need trouble. Yana was going to keep it dormant for as long as his patience to contain it lasted, which happened to be a long time.

Nikolaos took in her orders with ease, he dipped his tiara that he understood what it was he was to do. "It will be no problem sis" His raven kissers formed into a smile at the end of the statement. He assumed that they may as well be siblings. However, he felt that something was off in these lands. He returned her 'sibling' kiss with one of his own. As he pulled away he yawned. He hadn't slept in days. He knew he would not sleep though until he was back in Lacrimosa with Chimeras charges. "Show me who is to come with me back to our queen" He said, lyrics deep and shushed. He wanted to keep quiet about everything. He was trying too hard though it seemed. He needed some more work, especially if Evon asked him to do this particular task once again. He began to make his way away from Chimera, back to where the whelp and somewhat older yearling was. He knew he was only a yearling, his size gave it all away. He stopped just short of them and brought his cerulean gaze back to Chimera and waited for her to join him back by the others, he saw no other need to stay here. He looked back to the whelp and yearling, assuming they were who he was to take "Shall we go?.. Our queen is waiting to meet you" He smiled his twisted smile at the thought of Evon, he knew she would be pleased with what Chimera had found her. He waited for someone to speak, his azule orbs remaining off in space ...

Rob had watched the whole scenario fold out without comment. He was too inexperienced with this sort of thing and he knew it. There were other wolves that came and he felt uncomfortable. Chimera knew them so well...what in Fenrir's name were these roiling emotions that he was experiencing. Finally Chimera's attention fell back to him and he felt more settled. His ear flicked and he leaned closer where she was obviously trying to speak to him.

Chimera

She would smile at the familiar term he tagged to the end of his sentence and would nod. "Good." She would say and then would lead Nikos back over closer to Rob and Ajax looking over to him and smiling. "These two...but ..." she would pause and say softly. "Give me a moment with Rob...you can gather up Ajax." She would say and would then press closely to Rob, her coat touching his and her eyes looking at him, golden and wide.

"Rob.." She would almost murr his name and her voice would sound saddened and distraught. "Rob....this is my brother...Nikos." She would say softly and would nuzzle his neck affectionately. "I don't want to be apart from you now but I am going to let him take you ahead to our queen." She would say softly. "If you go now you will have an advantage..you will have her personal attention.. and I have yet to finish my mission of offering my queen's kind gift to the other packs." She would pause and her golden eyes would seem liquid as she looked at him. "You are going to be great Rob." She would breath in his ear. " Make me proud and prove to me you are going to be a warrior...one that would be worthy to mate with." She would say honey words on a silken tongue to coherse him into doing it willingly...a promise made of sorts.

She would lick his maw and tilt her head coyly. At this moment looking very unlike an ordinary grey wolf with gold eyes, but instead a fem with a melting golden gaze and a shiny ashen coat looking longinly at Rob. "Go now...go with my brother, Rob...Make me proud and I will come home to you soon."

She would glance over at Nikos and Ajax. The pup would follow...he needed no prodding. She would then glance back to Rob. "Besides.." she would whisper. "I think these brutes are nervous because of you..." she would say only for Rob's ears, stroking his ego and with the way the pair from the pearl was looking at them her words rang true.

Nikolaos nodded to Chimera that he understood who was to go with him at this time. He watched as she and the wolf she called Rob go off to talk in private. It was pretty obvious to him from the way they were acting that Chimera had obviously promised him something to be accepting their queens offer. His cerulean optics danced onto the pup they called Ajax. He wasn't sure what purpose this whelp would have, but nonetheless he would do. He brought his tiara a little closer to the height of the whelp and parted his raven kissers to speak, his lyrics were soft but harsh at the same time. "You must be Ajax" He didn't have much experience with looking after a whelp. He hoped it would be easy for this whelp to make the journey with him and Rob. He did not have the time to deal with a whelp who would need more attention than the others. "I hope you will not require much assistance" His ebony tassel flicked in annoyance. He brought his tiara back to its normal height and sank back onto his haunchers. He had traveled so much in the past weeks that his body was starting to protest in a way. It was nothin he could not handle though, he had a drop of Dire in his blood. The Dire that ran through him gave him the strength when there was nothing left for him to give. His father had taught him how to call on that when he needed it the most.

He turned his tiara back in the direction to where Chimera and Rob had gone off to and parted his raven kissers to speak, his lyrics impatient and growing tired. "Are we almost ready to go?" He called out, he was in a hurry to get back to his real sister. He hoped Solara had not caused much trouble for him, he did not want to mess this opportunity up. He knew his father would be pleased that he and Sol had taken on more training, it was like Mikalai always said to them, the more training one had, the more respect they gained. It clicked in his mind, it was not the bloodlust that he was after, but it was the respect. He was more determined than ever to gain the respect of Evon and even more so he was after the respect of his father. He and solara had a reputation to uphold, they had a bloodline to continue and lessons to pass down. It became ever so imperative to him that he needed to carry on the bloodline, and with a sick smile he knew exactly who his father would want him to do such a deed with. Cross. He now wanted to get to her before it was too late and she had moved on to have whelps with another. He rose off his haunches and waited for everyone to reappear, he needed to go as soon as possible.

Rob was once more entranced by Chimera his ears flicking instantly to her soft words. How could such a wolf lure him in so deftly? But ahh did it really matter? Listening to her cooing words he frowned for once at what she was saying. She wanted him to leave and go ahead with a brute she called brother. His eyes flicked over to the hessian and he didn't like the idea. But she kept speaking and he could not help but melt under her gaze. Finally he let out a breath. "All right...I'll go." He felt angry, a turmoil building inside him. Her last words chilled the angry but only furthered the turmoil. He felt the need to be...aggressive. He touched his nose to her shoulder in a soft gesture then looked to Nikolas who had called after them. One last look in her direction he trotted over to the bru and nodded to him. "I am ready."

Chimera looked at Rob and would give a soft murr into his ear hearing the anger in his tone. “We will be together soon Rob.” She would promise looking at him with her now suddenly not so ordinary golden eyes. She rolled her head in his neck fur and would smile softly. “You are going to be great. I know it.” She whispered and then would follow him over to her ‘brother.’ “Give our queen my regards and safe travels brother. I know you will see Rob and Ajax there safely for me.” Her tail would wag softly and she would nose Ajax gently. “Be brave young one.” She would say and then stop before Rob again. “I shall miss you.” She said softly before then turning her tail and walking back over to Yana and his companion.

They should feel less threatened now that it was only her. That was to be the plan all along. Niko almost ruined it though…damn him. She would smile. “Looks like my brother is heading back. My queen sends her regards too.” She would smile gently looking kind and innocent and not devious in any way, shape, or form. “I would be happy to wait outside your lands if you prefer….until I can speak with your alpha that is. “She would say softly. Not what she wanted but she saw the distrust in their eyes.

She was approaching them, apparently having finished speaking with her companions. Yana was all too happy to allow Chimera to wait outside the lands. Then again, it wouldn't be too good of him, as he was representing the pack. Even if Amor would agree, he knew he should be hospitable- after all, she hadn't done any wrong. There were enough wolves to keep an eye on the pups as well as her. "Our alphas will be back from a short trip. If you want to wait for them to come back or speak with the next in charge instead, you may follow me into our lands."

He turned, not bothering to see if she was following, to head back towards Liar and Khalon. It sure was busy for the pair, all these wolves entering the lands. It was highly doubtful Chimera would try anything, and she would probably realize by now that she would be watched. He could always send Red after her- he was sociable and tried to give second chances. At the same time, he wasn't stupid, either, and would probably notice if something was odd. He saw Liar and Khalon now, the others not too far from where he had left them. Yana stepped to the side, allowing their guest to approach.

Chimera

Chimera would look at Yana and would tilt her dial respectfully. "I would like to speak with someone. Thank you Yana. I am grateful for your assistance." She would say gently and would flick her tail and would follow Yana as he turned and trotted into the lands. Her eyes golden and everwatchful, taking note of her surroundings in case she had to make a hasty exit.

She walked along casually. Her stance neutral if not borderline submissve as to not raise any eyebrows and she smiled gently. "Your lands are quite beautiful. I smell the sea." she would say a little excitement to her voice. "I have never seen the sea but have been told it smells of salt."

Soon they would be approaching a pair. The Beta's of the lands perhaps? She waited an introduction from Yana.

Ajax watching carefully everyone moving around him was then placed in the sights of Niko. Nice. He shrugged it off though and walked up to the brute. "I won't be a problem. I get along just fine thanks to whoever my father was." he waited patiently as they were all getting up to leave. He didnt know
His father but eventually he would have to learn. Legend. The unforgiven curse that haunted the lands of Midnight Meadows. He would one day have to learn that he himself had been a pup of forced breeding. He'd probably thrive on it too. So far the pack must think that he and Rob had been swept away with the storm. He hoped. For when he was bigger he'd go kill them. He had wanted to kill his brother Haru countless times... He just needed the guidance. He'd have to act innocent and coy until then. A dumb pup just following the lead when all in all he wanted nothing more from them then training....

Yana nodded, responding once they were in sight of the pair in charge. "The sea does smell of salt. The view is nice, but never drink from it. We have other water sources for that." If Chimera was actually up to something, she wouldn't show what it was until the time came, and if she was going to be polite until then, he would be hospitable and every bit the greeter a wolf would be. "That," he nodded towards one of the wolves, "is Liar, and beside her is Khalon, the wolves you should be talking to. Since you're just here for a short time, I'll leave it to you to learn the names of the others if you please. The alphas, as I said are on a trip, are Jack and Calypso." He waited to see if she'd have any more questions or would now go up to Liar and Khalon to speak to them.

Nikolaos turned his crimson gaze to the whelp they were all calling Ajax when he spoke. "Perfect" He said in response to him saying that he could get around just fine. "I don't want to have to look after you, so keep up because I will not turn around for you" His voice held a calm tone, despite it being a threat. His tassel flicked in anticipation as he looked to Rob and then finally his orbs danced to Chimera. He did not speak, he simply dipped his dial in goodbye to her. He wondered if that would raise suspicion, but at the same time he did not care. "Let's all go then" He took off as soon as the words had been completed from his charred kissers. They had a lot of travelling to do and he knew their queen would be more curious about what was going on. His midnight coat hid him well in the night, his pillars carrying him with ease. They were heading back to Lacrimosa.

Amor silently watched the bru Nikolaos begin to leave, as he intended to escort the other two younger wolves that had arrived with Chimera away. Good. At least that's halfway over, he thought. There wasn't much else to say. Chimera was talking with Yana in her suspicious ways. No desire to evesdrop on that strange conversation. Khalon and Liar were together with their whelp. Still a whole new can of worms for me. Junior was resting. Boring. Red...well, Red was elsewhere. Amor, for now, felt like an awkward sqaure peg trying for a round hole: he didn't fit. "Oh heck, I'll go to the ocean.", he admitted aloud. He casually trekked in the direction of the beach and salt water, his mahogany coat getting kicked with sand by the cool, light salt air. He squinted at the flying grains, his blue hues reflecting the tropic liquids far ahead of him.

He had been patrolling again, seeing that everyone was doing well enough, and there weren't any particular tasks to be done... other than the constant border watching. Red wondered when Jack would be back with Calypso and the pups. They were probably talking by now... probably larger than he'd last seen them.

Grinning at the thought, he turned away from the borders. Things were calm here, too, and Yana was an observant wolf. He'd quickly noticed the other planned some of his steps beforehand and seemed to prefer a slightly more... dark response than Red was used to- not that it wasn't a bad thing at times. The wolf had calmed down quite a bit since he'd arrived. Maybe it was just his way of finding a pack? Shaking his head, he continued on.

This was what he liked best. Peace. He knew such things never lasted long with packs, but he liked to enjoy these times. He didn't consider himself too old yet, but old enough to see the value of times of rest. He'd noticed the Amor had gone with Yana to greet the new wave of wolves, and walked over in his direction, catching his scent by the ocean. One of his paws deliberately snapped a twig that had been washed ashore during the high tide, to alert Amor of his arrival. Other than that, he was silent, welcoming the salty sea air breeze. He was waiting to see if the other would speak first.

At last reaching the water, Amor trudged through the liquid’s resistance smoothly, ignoring the significant temperature change from the humid salt air. He continued to move forward, not particularly paying attention to anything around him. He was just lost in some spontaneous thoughts, enjoying this time alone from everything around him. He hadn’t been stressed before, but the healing power of the salt water was more gratifying and relaxing than he expected. Before he realized it, Amor was submerged just past his chest level, though still quite close to the shore. Stopping, he dipped his head and maw under the water for a quick moment, allowing the ocean to grab hold of his fur. Lifting up, he shook his skull wildly above the surface, drying himself off. The coolness of the refreshment seemed to electrify his senses and lift him from his daze of sorts. He felt better awakened, but before he could make another movement, a small cracking sound shot through the otherwise silent air. Turning around quickly, Amor noticed Red standing at the water looking at him. Amor happened to be less alone than he first thought. Trying to suppress a laugh, he smirked and acknowledged the wolf. “Figured I had to try the ocean. Feels great!” He paused a moment. “So what were you doing when the second wave of new people came in?”

Red grinned back when Amor spoke and answered his question, "I was patrolling the other side of the lands for a while, to see if I could catch signs of anyone else coming." He gazed out towards the water's surface in the distance and agreed, "Yes, the ocean is nice... very peaceful. I never really saw the ocean before I came to these lands. Quite different than a lake or river."

Tilting his head, he questioned, "Did Yana take command of greeting the newcomers, or were there not too many? I've noticed he has quite the... solo streak at times." A bit secretive, too, he mentally added. "It's nice to see new wolves, but they always seem to come all at once, don't they?"

Chimera

Chimera would give a nod as Yana explained not to drink from the sea. Her yellow gaze would look toward Liar and Khalon as Yana spoke of them. “Thank you for your courtesy.” She would say to him flicking her ears kindly forward. “Your pack looks strong.” She would say. Just from the wolves she saw and she was silently seeking. Her queen had bid her to bring wolves with the offer she proposed. But if wolves were content and peaceful without worry it would be hard to pull from the ranks. She wouldn’t waste too much time if this was one of these places.

Her tail wagged in a friendly manner and she looked genuinely curious.

Amor listened at Red’s response. “I figured you were just still greeting newcomers.” He met Red’s gaze out towards the swaying ocean that looked to engulf everything for miles. Amor was already getting used to its presence, but he didn’t see it as too different from other bodies of water. It was truly just the unique salt odor it had that Amor saw as different from something like a lake. That is until a large wave blindsided his flank while he stood in mid-thought, spraying bits of mist in the radial spot around the collision. It hadn’t moved his body or surprised him, but he smiled and agreed with Red. “Yeah, the ocean is quite different.”

With Red’s question about Yana, Amor looked slightly puzzled, as if he didn’t understand. “I chose to stay off to the side, so Yana did take command, but the group that arrived was small, anyway. Suspicious, too. I wasn’t offended by him or anything like that.” Amor glanced past Red in the distance away from the beach. Chimera had finished speaking with Yana and now looked about, searching for something. Her tail even wagged in delight as she stood solitary and gazed around, like she had just begun some sort of scavenger hunt. It was becoming more and more obvious she was on a mission while staying here. The thought of it itched at him, making him feel almost angry in a sense, but at the same time curious to see what the femme had planned. He resumed to Red. “I’m actually not used to seeing so many new wolves. Or trying to greet them. They do always seem to arrive all at once, though. Even where I used to live…and then there was always the struggle to get everyone situated. Learn their name, introduce them to the pack, tell them how everything is done around here, find them a place to sleep; the works.” He paused for a second and thought back to his old pack. They always remained secluded. But they were never at peace like here.

"Suspicious?" Red questioned, then grinned, deciding to confide to Amor, "The pack actually thought Yana was suspicious when he first got here. He never really told us why or how he wandered here. If he still has some hidden agenda, it's not towards this pack or anyone in it. I've noticed many siblings separated from one another during my travels, so maybe he was following a scent and the ocean caused him to lose it. We gave him a chance, and he's done quite a bit for the pack. Maybe it's the same with this newcomer." He was trying to give her a chance, although he did see the need for caution at times, then glanced the direction his packmate was. "I'm sure Yana will catch anything wrong, if he's going to stick with her like that."

Yana responded to Chimera somewhat cryptically, "I would hope that we're strong... we've had our fair share of trails, with only more in the future, I'd expect." Each wolf was strong in his or her own way, physically and/or mentally, especially with the recent happenings. He had been waiting to see if Liar or Khalon were finished addressing the first wave of wolves, and if they would notice Chimera. Well, of course they would, but he guessed one of them would address a new wolf at their convenience. Still, he decided to at least offer a name.

He stepped forward, past Chimera so she couldn't see his full expression, and said, "Liar, Khalon, this is Chimera. She's a guest here with a... proposition of sorts." He had a casual appearance on his features, but his eyes flashed in warning, a sign of caution that only the acting alphas would see. To anyone else looking, except those with similar expertise to his, they'd see just another wolf doing his duty to introduce a new arrival. There was no such thing as perfect manipulation or deceit, but his were at the point where only those who knew the minuscule details to look for and fellow masters of deceit might detect his anything but friendly attitude. Of course, being out of the field for so long, his skills might have rusted a little bit...

Jack once more entered his territory, this time with his family in tow. The walk from the lone lands was not to taxing on him but he was sure his children would be tired. Looking down he nudged his son's flank and smiled at him. "Here it is, home and pack." Jack felt good, better than he had in a long time. For once everything was just falling into the right way of things. Fenrir was finally going to grant him some bit of contentedness. Wagging his tail he looked at his mate and no matter how many times he looked at her finely furred muzzle he couldn't help but feel his chest tighten."Should we stop and refresh before we go on and meet the pack?" He posed this question to her knowing that she had been away for some time and might be eager to see the pack.

Calypso

The sweet smell of the sea washed over her face. She was home. This was her kingdom...the one she shared with her beloved king. She smiled and wagged her tail gently. Her coat had shed out in the time she was gone in the hot desert, sleek..smooth..and shining. She would look at her mate with joy in her eyes to be home as his question would pose. But before she could answer him Caspian spoke.

"THIS IS HOME!" His blue eyes went wide in his tricolored face and he would yip excitedly. "We need to go meet the pack!! I WANNA see the pack! DAD MOM please!" he yipped and bounced around. This was home. He felt it in his tiny bones.

Amor was slightly surprised to hear more on Yana’s back-story from Red. The wolf was unique and pretty talented in his own way, which is why Amor could now see how Yana could be seen as a threat from the pack’s perspective. His situation seemed to have panned out fine, giving a glimmer more of hope for these new strangers. He could give them more sympathy and more of an excuse, but it was still hard for him to believe there wasn’t anything wrong with Chimera and her followers; and he wasn’t going to watch a deceiver fester herself in this pack. “I could certainly be wrong,” was all he responded with to Red. Suddenly, a soft noise hit his senses. His auds perked up, as he thought he heard small yips from within the lands. It was difficult to be completely sure, with the ocean waves crashing so closely next to him. Amor looked around a bit, but saw no source of the noise in front of him. He didn’t think much more of it, his body silent yet his ears remaining straight.
