| Ooc: this is off my iPod fossy sorry for the shortness. I just needed to post SOMEWHERE.
Link let his eyes sweep the area once and then he turned and headed back in after Cinder. He could taste the thick smell of grief in the air. Sliding in next to her he gently licked the tears from her face and frowned to himself. It seemed that fenrir planned no respite for them. Link would bear he weight as much as he could for the sake of his mate. Flexing his throat for what seemed like hours the softest whisper came out. "....okay.....we find her...storm over...." Evon had taken his true voice from him but he could content himself with the little he was able to say.

| Fran nodded her head, taking the information in. "I'd rather do some preliminary healing right here to get you started, but there's no way of doing that. Normally, I'd at least ease off the pain, but you're actually going to need that so you don't end up breaking you a bone there. Your shoulder wound needs to be cleaned before treatment, since your life isn't currently in danger. If I start healing it now, you'll end up with an infection, or I'd end up cleaning the herbs out, too."
Vaarak came running back, a collection of herbs in his mouth. He looked at Fran for further direction. She said, "Not here, Vaarak, go to my den and put the material there, and set it up. Also, get some water while you're done there." She watched as the other nodded and left again, herbs still in his jaws. "Ok, Storm. Come with me, and stay off that paw. You can lean on me if you need to." Although Fran didn't look it with her lean form, she would be very stable when weight was leaned on her. It came from experience of being a healer and needing to carry, or act as a crutch.

| Storm lifts up her paw, said appendage mangled almost beyond recognition. Sand is in the wound, turned it a vomit inducing color. "I also have a gAsh on my shoulder." her voice is thick with relief.
Ooc: sorry, I was in a rush earlier, this is written on an iphone

| Fran's posture relaxed a little as Storm responded. She requested, "Tell me whatever injuries you have right now. It would be better if I eased some of them before I take you to the alpha." Her eyes were focused on the limp, wondering where it had come from, but had the tact to not ask for details. "You look a bit malnourished, but I'm not sure if anyone is available for a hunt at the moment, so I'll ask Vaarak to catch something small for you when he returns." Her ears were pointed forward in rapt attention, listening for any other movement from the lone lands. It wouldn't do her good if anyone tried to get by while she was busy. OOC: Don't be shy to start to add more detail to your post. | |

| Fran noticed the sandstorm still raged in the lone lands, but not so much closer to their pack. The lands were still calm, so she decided to stake out the common entrance to the lands, waiting either for the storm further out to end, or for Balthier to return. She didn't know where Exodus went, but that was her business where she took Echo.
Suddenly, a figure appeared, growing larger as it approached. Upon reaching closer, it was clearly a female figure, limping, and either knowing or ignoring the fact that she had just crossed into lands without an announcement. Fran's normally gentle eyes narrowed in thought and swiftly stepped in front of the fem, standing firmly on the ground on the chance the stranger didn't see her and collided, saying, "I hope you realize it's not proper to walk into another's lands without notice, especially when there's a scout in front of you? True, we are of pure lands, but guests who don't announce their entry normally bring naught but trouble and strife, and there has been plenty of that in times of late." She lifted a brow, patiently waiting for a response. Her voice didn't hold any accusation, just caution for the sake of the pack. She did want to heal this wolf, but she had to make sure there was no problems first. Life has taught her to distinguish between friend or foe before healing so long as the wound isn't grave.
Vaarak was about to say something to Fran, suggesting that they wait closer to the dens, when a newcomer showed up. He tilted his head at the sudden change in Fran's demeanor, but stayed quiet until she was finished. "Hey, Fran..." he started, "She looks injured! Should we help her wounds and then ask questions? She looks nice enough." Turning to the wolf with a limp, he said to her, "Hi! I'm Vaarak, and this is Fran." He knew Fran was giving him a look of disapproval, because she heard her light voice say, "Vaarak, you should know better by now not to judge a wolf by their appearance. Action-wise, though, if she's managed this long on a limp, she can answer a few questions before any treatment. Go get your brother's herbs, then." Vaarak nodded, seeing Fran's point. She could talk to the new wolf while he got some herbs. He said to the newcomer, "I'm going to get some herbs for you. Don't worry, I'm a healer, so I know what I'm doing. Fran's a healer, too- better than I am. My brother's even better than her, though, but he's not here right now. I'll be back in a moment!" With his last statement, he turned and started to run towards one of his brother's herb stashes. Despite his age, he still acted like a whelp at times.

| Storm limped into the territory, ignoring the scent marks. She was sick of hard ships of lonership, sick of the constant starvation, sick of lonliness. She wanted a home, a home where she didnt have to worry to much about her next meal, where her next den will be, whether shell survive the next day, a home with friends. She couldnt stand being alone, and she wanted the protection and friendship thats in a pack. |

| She didn't know why all this was happening, but she knew it wasn't her place to try to help unless they asked for it or they were in that bad a condition. The pair passed her and Vaarak, but she didn't turn or move, but saw their eyes for the corner of her own. She was used to waiting, and she'd wait for this sandstorm to end. Although she wouldn't go out as soon as the storm ended, she could alert the pack the minute it was safe to cross. The sand would sweep the tracks away, but with luck, perhaps Balthier might cross her whenever he comes back, or one of the packs found her. The storm would have stopped his return, too, so either he was still in Jabbar, or in the lone lands riding the storm out.
Fran looked down at Vaarak, who was watching the storm, concerned for everyone who wasn't in the lands. He had looked her way, but quickly looked back down after sitting down.

| Cinder looked at her mate. Her silver eyes tarnished with the agony of loosing yet another child. Ears flickered back as she gave a soft whine, catching in the back of her throat. She slipped into the darkness of their den. It seeeming to swallow up her silver form. She curled in the back of the den. Why was she fated to loose all of her children? Was she a poor mother? First those who came with Navi.....dead before living, then there was Damean Jr. ...not of her loins but her heart...gone to the lands he was heir to, and Echo...who didn't want her for a mother. She closed her eyes and tears fell silently in the dark. | |

| Link led the way back to the lands in a stony silence. Could nothing go right in their lives? Must they always be touched with this darkness...this wrongess..He saw Fran and Varaak and looked on them with a stare devoid of emotion and merely turned and numbly licked his mates ear. Leading her to the den he stood at the entrance so that she could go inside ahead of him. | |

| Cinder would look at Link and she would hear his pleading whine. Her silver eyes stung with tears and she would feel his nudge and she would step toward the lands with his urging. She would pin her ears and a low keen would fall from her throat. Her child ...gone. Her pelt was heavy with sand but not as heavy as the deep despair in her heart. She would lean against her mate and would close her eyes letting tears run down her nose only to be sucked up by the desert wind...taken....as it took their daughter. She would give another whine. "Navi..." She would say softly as they re-entered the trees. She would turn and would look out at the monster storm that had consumed their child and then would look back at her mate...her beloved. What were they going to do? | |

| Link looked at his mate eyes pleading a whine escaped his mouth but it was lost in the winds. All he could do was gently nudge her back towards the pack land. He couldn't even tell her it was going to be all right whether it was a lie or not. Leading them back the wind became less severe and their panting more evident. His eyes were gritty with sand and he felt as if his coat had gained twenty pounds. He tried irritably to shake some of it out but he was mentally and emotionally exhausted. He felt despair in his heart, foolish little child to run away...he refused to believe that she was gone. He would search every inch of the desert for her once this storm ceased. He used his form to support Cinder and prayed that she would be strong enough to endure this. | |

| Fran had seen Cinder rush off, Link following. She looked at Vaarak and said, "Wait before you go off with them, ok? We need to make sure things are ok here." She trailed behind the pair, never noticing another wolf, as the wind wasn't in her favor to detect the intruder. As they started to search the lone lands, she saw the sandstorm, and hung back, waiting for them. She didn't like the desert, and crossing the lone lands once was enough. She didn't say anything, just sat there, between them and the rest of the pack, waiting for them to see reason, collect themselves a bit, and return. She could only see them, not hear.
Vaarak frowned at Fran's words. He'd been looking forward to an adventure. He wandered back to where he'd left Exodus and Echo to find they weren't there. Confused, he searched to find Fran and saw the sandstorm. He whined and said, "Fran, Exodus and Echo aren't here. Did they leave?" Tilting his head, he said, "Hey, Fran! My brother's really good at tracking. Maybe he can find Navi!" He had undying faith in his brother, even if it was clear the physical evidence would be blown away by the storm and it'd be impossible to track anyone except possibly through very detailed, rational thinking, although that'd be a slim chance, too. There were too many variables in this case.
Fran saw Vaarak approach after a few minutes, and she was very doubtful that even the most skilled tracker would find anyone. Still, she didn't say anything in response. Just waited...

| Her mate's larger form stepped in front of her and would push her to the side, firmly. She would look up at him and her ears would pin. She knew...she knew that this was folly. The sandstorm itself was death...death for an adult...let alone a small pup. "But Link.." She would plead softly looking into his eyes with ones of absolute despair. "Navi..." She would sob and would look over his shoulder as the wind and wall of sand would come blasting in. "Navi..." She whined again. Though the child was a child of rape...she was still a child of her loins and she loved her daughter. She looked at Link and her tail dropped as she stood in the barreling winds abrasive with sand. Lost....Navi...was lost. | |

| Ooc: LE GASP! It ate my post...unless I posted somewhere else by accident I had posted back to you Fossy...As always it's never as good the second time around..
Link had run after his mate in her frantic attempt to find Navi. The rush into the lone lands gave his sense whiplash and he had to up his pace to catch up with Cinder. A whine escaped his throat but the wind stole it away as he barreled over the sand. He looked at the sandstorm approaching with a bit of horror. She couldn't go in there to look for Navi she would only get lost and hurt herself...it was too dangerous. Racing ahead he got in front of his mate and knocked her not unkindly to the side placing his body in front of hers indicating that they should turn back. Sand whipped at his pelt but he stood firm determined to make Cinder see reason. Now was not the time to go chasing after Navi... They would have to wait until the weather calmed. He looked at her firmly hoping that she would accept his resolve to not let her go any further into danger.

| All else was forgotten. Her daughter had run off. They needed to find her. Looking at her mate as they ran. Criss crossed patterns across the terra. A whine escaped her lips and she would yell out her daughter's name. "NAVI!!!! .....NAVI!!!" Her trail was heading for the border. It was....no..she didn't....silver eyes went wide and she would find her daughter's scent crossing into the sands. "Link!!" she would cry and look out trying to see her. The winds were picking up....blowing away her scent and trail. "Hurry..." Panic laced her tone and she would boldly run into the desert trying to catch Navi's trail before it was too late. A sand colored cloud loomed and was approaching quickly. "NAVI!!!" Cinder cried seeing the danger coming fast and violent. "NAVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She would look to Link despair in her eyes. "We have to find her....We have to!!!" The sand was already begining to pelt their coats and blind their eyes. | |

| MORT
An ghostly form appeared from between the dunes, out of the desert. Milky white eyes stared towards the land before him. Midnight... He loped down the dune, and waited near it's border, where he sat down on his haunches. He wasn't planning to enter Midnight with permission or knowledge of him being there, he was here for a mission. And besides, chances were low he would be left in. His jaws were still stained with blood, and his appearence almost screamed "I am a monster". He crawled up, and started stalking to the left, parrelel with the border. The wind was with him, so he was pretty sure he would remain undetected. For now. A sound. Mortifactus instantly went low, and gazed to where it had originated. Two wolves, a pup and a femme trailed past him for several mettres, but quickly dashed off into the desert. His heart was racing in his chest, but nothing followed. No alarm. No looking back. Where these two on the run? Fine, it setted an extra distraction screen for him. He got back up, and even more alert, he started to make his way into the Meadows.
He had walked for what seemed several minutes, when he noticed more sound in front of him. Wolves spoke hard, and it seemed one's pup had run off. In his head, Mort could almost hear *BINGO*. He heard them move, but didn't knew if they were heading out to search, or get others. Mere moments later, a femme, followed by a bru runned of, possibly in search of the lost pup. Mortifactus came up with a plan. He turned back on his tracks for a while, before heading the way the two other adults had followed, and stayed behind them. He took in both their scents, so he would recognize the pup's too. Most of the time they reeked like the rest of the pack, even if it was only one flavour binding them together. He came out of the forest dashing, there was no more need to be stealthy anymore, he would snatch that pup for Evon, and would bring it to her whining...

| Link was enjoying the private moment with his mate, it had been so long since they had some peace. But just like that it was gone when Fran came bounding towards them. It seemed Navi had run off...he was instantly up beside his mate and shook his pelt off. Nipping Cinder's leg he bound off after Fran to where the pup had fled. Instantly he put his nose to the ground and inhaled her scent. Grunting when he found it he started off at a trot trying to keep the scent. It was difficult because Navi had fled and Link was trying to keep to the erratic pattern but it was difficult. Looking at Cinder he whined when they were getting closer to the border... | |

| Echo smiled at Vaarak's reply - she didn't know where they were going, but hopefully, it was somewhere exciting. And, she felt a little better knowing that they would be keeping an eye out for Navi along the way. True, she didn't seem to get along with her, but that didn't mean she could ignore her completely. She started following Exodus in a small trot when she was suddenly lifted up off her feet, carried by her scruff. Her brows knitted in confusion as Exodus suddenly seemed frightened, but she kept quiet, as instructed. Exodus set her down on the border.
"Exodus, what's going - " Echo began, but was cut short at Exodus' urge to run. She paused, looking at her with her large blue eyes - she wasn't kicking her out, and neither was the pack, so... What was the rush all about? But Echo trusted her. She would follow, her heart told her she would. She nodded and ducked her head, whipping around and taking off like a speeding bullet. Exodus had been right, she was growing, and at quite the rate - her stubby little legs were now becoming long and elegant, carrying her through the thickest of the wood, until the forest began to fade and the earth became soft underneath, leading her to the Lone Lands...

| Exodus smiled to Vaarak as he agreed to go find Fran, Cinder, and Link to tell them they were going on a search. "Echo" she turned looking at the pup. How was she going to do this, as fast and as best she can. "Don't say anything, don't yelp, if I carry you to hard growl got it, don't say a word." she bent down picking the almost yearling up as best she could. Echo was heavy. She didn't know what else to do though, she couldn't explain to the pup that without reason she had to run. And would Echo agree? To the boarder that was it, she'd carry her to the boarder. With quick paws and with massive strength she carried onwards towards the boarder. Quickly Quickly Quickly, then she would set her down. She had traveled these lands many times and as her body carried another body past the boarder she stopped and set her down. "We need to run Echo. Run ahead of me. Keep running till there are no more strong smells of the lands. RUN!" she barked towards her adopted daughter and verbally sent her on her way, she would trail behind, Echo would need to find the way all the way out of Midnight Meadows. She needed to find the lone lands and Exodus would praise her once they were there. Ooc:|| Silvers. you make a board in Lone Lands, we will continue. Name it whatever you want. | |

| Vaarak nodded, and turned, quickly catching the scent of Fran, figuring she would have found Cinder and Link by now. He followed the strongest scent back to where he, Navi, and Echo originally where when they split up. "Cinder, Link, Fran! Exodus told me to tell you all that she, Echo, and I were going to go out of the lands to look for Navi. Looking at Fran, he said, "If Balthier comes back first, can you tell him I'm fine?"
She knew Cinder would act just as she finished talking, but before anyone had a chance to act, Vaarak was running towards them, giving them a message. Looking at Cinder, she said, "I'll tell him, but keep in mind he might worry if he comes back and you're not here, ok?" Her eyes turned back to the younger wolf, silently telling him to wait for Cinder to respond first before he darted back..

| Exodus smiled as Vaarak decided he was going to come with them on their little trip. Her head turned down to Echo and she smiled. "Were going to see if we can find Navi on our trip, maybe she'll come home" Exodus smiled to Echo winking hoping the pup would catch her drift and then she looked towards Vaarak. "Will you go find Cinder, and Link, and tell them we're going looking?" she smiled to the bru waiting for him to turn around and leave, she had to speak to Echo alone, keep the pup calm, she didn't know what had happened but she didn't want to have her new pup sad... | Fran said, "follow me," and turned in the direction she had come, running. Knowing they'd follow, she continued, "I'm not sure exactly where she would be now, but I can take you to where she ran off. She was talking to Echo. Vaarak was nearby, so you can ask him what happened later. Exodus was further away, counting- we were playing hide and seek."
She found the spot the two were... yelling at each other. "They were right here. I heard Navi yelling, and when I looked, she ran off in that direction. I alerted Exodus, who took Vaarak to find Echo, and if they could track Navi." She looked around, not seeing any of them. It appeared as if they hadn't found her, either. Otherwise, they probably would have come back.

| Cinder would be grooming her mate’s coat lovingly as they relaxed next to one another. The time was needed and maybe soon their lives would resume a sense of normalcy. But with Fran’s voice the dream was shattered. “What?” she would say and would look at Link and would stand worry laced in her silver eyes. “Which way did she go?” she would say and would leap from the water onto the bank and would shake out her pelt.
She would look at Link and worry would flood her. Navi, though looking like Cinder seemed to have been taking on more of her birthfather’s personality. Cinder’s heart ached. Navi used to be such a fun loving and caring little pup. “Take me to where you last seen her.” She would say of Fran, tone full of worry and urgency. “We have to find her.” She couldn’t loose another pup.
Navi would have ran…and ran…and ran through puddles and thick brush and things to make it difficult to find her. She wasn’t stupid. The border loomed and went and her small paws carried her into the desert which welcomed her with a fierce heat as the winds picked up quickly and would blow away her tracks. By the looks of things a sand storm was on the rise and it was going to hit and quickly.

| Exodus was talking to Echo, then turned her attention to him, talking about a trip. He wondered if this was like Balthier's way of trying to make something sound better than it was. A moment later, Echo was looking at him. It reminded of the methods he used to try to get Balthier to do something fun with him. Wagging his tail, Vaarak replied, "Ok, I'll come! It's not like my brother should have all the fun adventuring." It wasn't like said brother was here at the moment to say otherwise, and he would still be with packmates, so it wasn't like he'd be away forever. Balthier was very smart. On the chance he came back first, he'd know his little brother was away and would be back.

| Echo's brow furrowed. Why would Navi do that? It wasn't fair... She had even agreed to play the game. If anything, Echo had just been trying to get her in the mood for it. She sighed inwardly, ears falling against her skull, but not completely flat; just disappointed. Nothing out of her mouth seemed to be coming out right. But, she looked up at Exodus when she said something about a trip... That wasn't wholly concerned about finding Navi. Echo's brow remained furrowed. Shouldn't they be focused on finding Navi? Echo remembered Cinder's face when she had lost Damean, and she didn't want to imagine what it would look like if her actual daughter was lost...
Instead of worrying, though, Echo smiled and gave her tail a wiggle. Though she was starting to get taller as the days progressed, her tail remained the stubby thing it was. "I'd like that very much. Where would we be going?" she asked, blue eyes shining. She watched as Exodus tried to coax Vaarak into coming with them, and Echo caught on; instead of showing submissiveness as Exodus was doing, Echo instead used her puppish nature, smiling with all her teeth. Echo, would you like Vaarak to come with us? Big strong wolf to come with us two so we know we'll be safe" she winked down at Echo then smiled back at Vaarak. "Please..." she said softly and bent her head down a little showing the back of her skull, submitting a little in a begging manor.
