Damean watched the white pup wander into a den and he shook his head slightly feeling bad, no, highly feeling bad. He wandered over ignoring Navi if she said anything. "Echo. I'm sorry. I thought since you were mean if I was mean back you'd wanna play. We just want to play. It's not as much fun with just us two. When you wanna play we can, or we can scout. I learned. I can teach you" he smiled into the den but didn't stay for her answer he took his black pelt elsewhere and sat down. It was here he thought of Akiko, Blade, Rawbones, and Petra. Crow. Where were all of them and the wolves from here that had left with them, he wanted them to come back and play...

Exodus had been off wondering about Aladar when little Damean caught her eye. She moved over to him when he sat down and nudged him. "What's up little guy, you know, being mean isn't the best way to make friends, you dad, if he was here, would teach you that. He made a horrible first impression from what he told me as a pup" she smiled down at her half little brother thing who looked up and began spilling out questions. She only hushed him softly and began to answer every single one...

Though her ears remained back, Echo's scowl disappeared when Damean scowled back at her and called her a snob. She looked down at her paws, buried in the snow, and starting to get cold. She shivered, the chilly winds blowing throughout the rolling meadows, tiny flecks of snow getting caught in her white-white fur. She just wasn't used to this... She was used to a warm, moist den that smelled of earth and flesh, not this... strange place. And, to top it all off, now, they didn't like her. Damean seemed to be their ring leader, so anything he said, would probably go. She glanced over her shoulder, Cinder having walked off. The older wolves were talking about a hunt, it seemed, and her mouth watered. It had been a considerable while since she had last eaten... The trek with Evanescence had taken a toll on the young wolf. She didn't know, though, if they would share... Echo's blue eyes landed on the white fae that had snarled at her and Evon when they had arrived. An unsettling chord struck through her, and something within told her it would be best not to cross her path. The result would be unpleasant.

She didn't like this place. It was unfamiliar and cold. She looked at Damean and the other pups, half-hoping that one of them would notice that she wasn't a total snob - she just didn't like new things, and couldn't help but be a bit shy. Whereas Damean was really loud, the girls seemed really nice... Unless they listened to Damean. Then they would probably be mean. She sighed, inwardly defeated. Echo picked her small body up and lifted her nose in the air, sniffing out the dens. She didn't know who would be there, but maybe they would like her. Or better yet, if she could find a den for herself, then she wouldn't have to worry about anyone else at all.

Her little nose caught a warm scent in the wind and she followed it. As she expected, it led her to the larger dens where Cinder and Link stayed, but she knew that later on, Damean and his friends would come in and probably kick her out or something like that. She instead rounded to the other side of the den, where there was a significantly smaller space, seemingly made just for her. It smelled a bit old and the ground was damp from the snow, like it hadn't been used in some time, but it was clear that some pup, at one point or another, had used it. She dug out some of the snow with her little paws and then laid down, curling herself in a tight, white ball, keeping herself warm. Her stomach growled. She didn't know how long it would be, but she would wait until mealtime to come out again.

Damean looked at Cinder when she picked the pup up and brought her closer. So she was a snob, great. He rolled her eyes when she scowled at both he and Navi. "Come on, she obviously is too good for us to play a simple game" of course he didn't know her past, what little of it that came with her short amount of age, but he really didn't care now, she didn't want to play that was her choice, he, he wanted to play, and see Rawbones, and see Akiko. His blue eyes turned towards Navi and he smiled. "What's up there sister wolf?" he took his paw and pushed it on her shoulder. "Do you feel hurt she wont play with us. She's just a brat" he turned and gave her the scowl she delivered to them. Of course Damean himself felt bummed she didn't wanna play, cause tag or hide and seek was alot more entertaining with more pups. "Why couldn't she just be Daija, Daija would play with us" he was being mean, and though he slightly felt bad deep inside he knew he needed to do such a thing.

Echo gasped, her blue eyes growing wide as Cinder picked her up off the ground. Panic flew through her, but it evaporated when she was set down next to all the other pups. Her scowl returned, quickly banishing any features of being scared away. What was it with this pack and wanting her to be next to the other whelps? So what if she was small? Her ears flipped back, glaring at the pups that had introduced themselves before. They probably wanted to play and romp and do all of these other things. Well, she would make sure that they didn't touch her. She wasn't supposed to be. Why? The answer was all too easy... She was different from them, and nothing could erase that feeling. It was in her blood.

Cinder

Cinder watched the pup pull her lips into a snarl. She stood and walked over to her and said. "I do not know what Evon has done to you but we expect different things out of you here. She would gently but firmly pick up the pup and glance at Zelda with a soft wag of her tail and then if the pup didn't struggle she would carry her over toward the other pups and set her down.
Navi

Navi looked up at her mother as she brought the new whelp over. She nosed Damean Jr.and flicked her ears forward. Was she too good to play?

Vaarak said, "Bye, Liar. Hope to see you around!" He turned his attention to Braeden, who was asking about where they got food. She seemed to be doing fine despite the confrontation between the others. "Hunt.... catch meat," he said, unsure if she knew the concept of hunting. "Come!" He could use some food, and hunting was always fun in groups. "Fran, you want to hunt with us?" He waited for her response, his tail swaying in excitement, waiting for Fran to lead the way.

,Wishing on a Shooting Star, :MB: - Page 16 Fran

Fran said, "Farewell, Liar. It was nice to meet you and Daija." She noticed who was still around, and knew the Cinder should be ok. Vaarak asked her to accompany them to hunt, and she replied, "Ok. Let's see if we can find something large enough for the pack, too." She walked closer to the others and said, "Rodion, Zelda, Vaarak is asking me to help him show Braeden how we get our food. Depending how well that goes, we'll try to bring enough back for everyone." She guessed the others wouldn't be able to help, since there weren't enough wolves to stay to watch the children, and that some were in Jabbar right now.

She turned back to the pair, and walked past them, saying, "We find meat." Rabbits were more difficult, although one could catch one alone. It was probably better to teach her to hunt in cooperation first, maybe a deer, and then Braeden will probably pick up the skills to catch smaller prey herself. Would she even hunt, though? They had obviously been captive by humans, based on that dog that had been with her. Could she stand death of other animals?

Braeden was relieved when all of the tension died down and Evon left, with just the pack and the whelps surrounding her now. Still, she did not feel quite relaxed, and paced anxiously. No one else seemed really concerned about anything anymore, but she couldn't help it. These situations always seemed to just pop up out of nowhere, and it made Braeden feel all jumpy and paranoid. Then she felt her belly rumble, and the sight of her ribs poking out through her pelt was still terribly unhealthy in comparison with the wolves surrounding her. She padded over to Vaarak, lowering her head as she drew nearer to him. "Meat? Where?" she asked. She knew that he and Morgan and Balthier had brought meat to her before, but she did not know where it came from. She would need to be shown, and felt helpless and hungry. She hoped these wolves wouldn't make her go hungry, like all of her previous caregivers had. But she believed in these wolves; they had not let her down so far, and she was really growing to like them, however confusing their ways seemed to her. It all just seemed so much more natural than anything else she'd seen.

Zelda watched Evon go without any further dramatics and while Link didn't react to her verbal taunt she had a hard time restraining herself from lunging forward. Damn when did she let herself get so impulsive? When she turned to leave Rodion had lunged forward snaring and surprisingly she found herself watching Link instead of Evon. Her brother's muscles were strained and his keen blue eyes watched the white witch leaving. Link glanced down at the pup and then over to Cinder, he smiled but it was strained. Motioning his head towards the woods he said "Leave...sure.." He wanted to be positive that Evon had really left. He did not doubt that she would one day be back but perhaps she would not find what she expected. With that he trotted after her glancing once to see Rodions display of affection to Zelda but he couldn't even find enough emotion to seem surprised or even happen.

Zelda watched as Link spoke to Cinder briefly and went to make sure she was gone. She noticed that the fem who had come with the pup was leaving and.....suddenly Rodions body was pushed against hers in affection. Zelda felt her body lock up in preparation for rejection as she had done for years and years but after a moment she relaxed and accepted it though her body still felt uneasy. Panic fluttered through her belly, she would have to speak to Rodion later.....

For now the attention was on the pup and Zelda felt bad that she had scared the little thing but she did not regret her actions. For the love of Fenrir they were still wolves! Frowning she sat and looked away...almost sulking.

Ooc- I think Zelda just degenerated to her adolescence hahah

Cerulean blue eyes watched the white witch dissappear, her form blending in with the whiteness of the snow. Echo was still, the wind blowing against her coat, little white hairs whipping at the corner of her eye. Even though Evanescence was gone, the wolves were still on edge. Suddenly a darker-colored wolf was in her face, one seemingly of the same age, speaking very rapidly about anything and everything, she wasn't even sure if she caught his name. But she did - Damean, and he didn't seem to be from around here. Odd. Another wolf introduced herself and then appeared to be leaving - Daija. And then there was one more pup that barked to Daija as she left, and then pounced on Damean. These pups were so...

Auds twitched as Cinder's voice met her ears. Her voice was so soft and... unfamiliar... It was hardly the thing Echo was used to. She was urged to go play with these other pups, but they... No. Echo's ears folded back, her eyes and lips pulling into a sharp scowl. Instead, she sat down where she was, refusing to budge. She glanced at the large white wolf that had snapped first at her and Evanescence, Zelda... It wouldn't surprise her at all if the fae wanted to bite her head off herself.

Cinder

Cinder set her paw down gently and then looked at the pup check with Evon. It pained her heart to know this pup had been twitsted in Evon's wake. She narrowed her eyes at Evon as she spoke haughtily and left and a soft growl threatened to come to her lips. Someday...someday that fea would pay for what she had done...to everyone.

She looked to Liar as she spoke and then waved her tail gently. Then she looked down at Damean and smiled. It was the pups nap time but with all the drama a little play would lighten things up. "Come Echo...come play with the little ones here. Damean and Navi." She said softly.

Navi

The small silver pup was slightly jealous of the attention that Daija was getting but she was going to miss her friend. "BYE DAIJA!!" she barked and then looked at the white pup Echo and glanced to Damean as he growled and she giggled and pounced on him playfully.

Liar looked down at Damean who smiled but was caught up saying goodbye to Daija. She walked over towards Rodion as the white female left and bowed her head to him. "Thank you for letting us rest here for this short time, but we must begin our journey back home to the Pearl. I'm guessing everyone will wonder where I've run off too, but'll be glad to see Daija's return." She smiled to the king then looked at Zelda. "Take care, the both of you. We may come visit if that's okay. Navi and Echo? Daija only has one other friend back home and I'd hate for her to grow up without these friends here, you have a beautiful home you two..." she smiled to them both then turned without their answers and walked back to Daija who was pulling away from Damean. "Take care you three, we'll be back here soon" she reached down picking up her daughter who asked if she herself was ready, of course she was... She smiled to Cinder, then nodded to Link before her body took her out of Midnight Meadows heading towards the lone lands to cross hopefully safely before entering into Black Pearl.

Damean looked at Liar when she called Daija to go. His heart sunk. A friend leaving already, he knew this was going to be the time but it just... sucked it came so soon. He smiled and wagged his tail though at her question but before his answer could be said she was saying her goodbyes and embraced him in a nuzzle. He returned in back just the same and smiled to her. He wagged his tail and barked a couple times with the thought of them all playing again. "yeah, maybe you me Navi and Echo can all meet and play!" He put his chest on the ground playfully about to start up more play action when Liar came and picked Daija up. "Bye Daija! Bye Liar. See you soon!!!" he hoped... he sighed as they walked off, his head was tilted to the side watching them go. "Sucks they had to leave, but... we can still play!" he turned his attention to Navi a puppish growl escaping his throat. "Echo, do you wanna join. I bet you're good at wrestling too!" he barked playfully and bent his chest down only to let a yawn escape his maw. Quickly his little blue eyes landed on Cinder seeing if she noticed, if so, she'd probably say it was nap time, which he knew it was... but he was a puppy, all he wanted to do was play...

At Evanescence's wise cracks toward Link, Rodion let slip a warning growl. Oh how he wanted to give into his instincts and tear at her throat. Zelda had said her share to him and he had heeded her. The wench was not welcome here, though for him a strike would be a strike in cold blood. The revenge was not his to take, and though he could have easily claimed it his business, he left it as a deeply personal matter for the siblings and the pack before him. He mad no direct reaction to Link snapping in her face. She deserved it. He lashed his tail side to side, reserving himself as the pup moved between them. But as she motioned to leave, the way she smirked in his face, spoke to him, Link, all of them like that... He surged forward as she turned tail, barking and snapping furiously at the air, hairs on end, fangs bared. He knew she was going and didn't intend to face her full on, but the warning not to return was strong enough for now. "You dare show your face here again and it's your hide!" He snarled at her back once more and turned to face his pack, and upon seeing Zelda's face almost immediately calmed down. In one huge breath the bru released all his tension, and his muscles relaxed. He nodded to Link and went to Zelda, nuzzling her heavily in a public display of affection. For a moment his eyes settled on the alabaster child, watching her curiously as he waited for her to make a move toward Cinder.

Daija grew quickly excited when Damean mentioned a new pup. As thrilled as she was, she tried to maintain a calm composure. She hadn't yet shaken off all the ways of the Midnights that she had been taught. She watched from behind as he tried to start up conversation with her. She didn't seem very friendly. Kind of quiet. Her name was mentioned, and as she was about to step up and smile, her mother said they had to leave.
"Mom!" She cried softly with a pout, and sighed in resignation. But at least they were going home. Her mom went up to Damean and nosed him gently. "You're a king?" She asked, wide-eyed for a moment, but Liar insisted again that she say her goodbyes. "Bye Echo," she said to the new pup kindly, "They're all really nice here. I promise." She tried to reassure her after all the growling that had taken place. She nuzzled Navi next. "Bye! You were really fun to play with." Lastly, she looked to Damean, her first real friend, and gave him the biggest nuzzle she could muster. For the briefest of seconds something flitted through her mind. The idea that he was kind of cute. But in her puppyish way, it was gone the next second. "Bye Damean. Maybe Mom will come let me visit sometime." She smiled to them with all her little teeth. She wasn't so sure about Echo yet, but certain about the others. "You guys are my first friends... Just so you know." With a last little smirk she turned with her Mom, nuzzling her leg affectionately. "Ready, Mom?"

Damean looked as Navi came in too, all three of them confused on who and what was going on. He grew bored of the wonder game though and when Fran's voice filled then den he looked at the other two and hushed them while creeping forward. Like a dart he tried to jump from the den only to come out and run into Fran's paw, see the white fem leave and Liar's hair stand down but his eyes were on the other white wolf. "A new pup. Come on guys! Look!" he let his chest grow with some more excitment. He moved around Fran and came up next to Cinder and she cooed the pup. "Hi" he said wagging his tail. "Are you going to come play too? Was that your mommy? Did she leave you for us to watch, she's scouting huh? I just went scouting with Rawbones, he's teaching me alot" saying the brute's name brought back the thought of his family being gone but with a puppy mind track it was taken away on another route. "I'm Damean. Umm. I don't actually live here. Blade said that everyone's trying to get their home back. I'm guessing that's where I have to go. But I don't get to take Navi or Daija with me. And Daija doesn't live here either..." sadness coursed over him, they were all going to be going other ways weren't they. Well atleast they didn't live far... in his mind it wasn't far...

Liar watched as the wolves growled snarled and then it died. She relaxed instantly and turned to see Fran right infront of the den. "Vaarak, thank you for staying near us, and Fran, thank you too" she was a nervous wolfess at heart, always wondering who would jump her from behind. But, she had Daija now, and nothing bad could happen, atleast not here. "Sweetie. Come on. I think it's time we go home" she looked at Cinder who now had Damean next to her and she smiled. Spitting image of his father yet just not as wise... would the pup ever be that way. She walked over to him and nosed him as he kept talking. "Well young king. We must be going. Say goodbye to Daija okay?" she watched as he looked at her, to the pup, then the den then back at her, clearly he had come to terms with everything of his little life right this moment. "Daija, sweetie, say goodbye to your friends. We're going to go home, and see everyone in our home, we'll come back soon though. I promise" She wanted to get out of here before Jabbar wolves came back, just incase something wicked followed them...

Evanescence continued to play it cool, as cool as the snow settled upon the lands. Her eyes flashed to Cinder when she threw herself at her, instantly protective of the pup between her legs. She felt Echo against her, remaining still, watching these other wolves with wary blue eyes. A smirk appeared on Evon's black lips, twisted as always. "Oh Cinder, you're so kind compared to the rest of these mean wolves," Evanescence said in a cooing, mocking tone. It didn't last long, though, as Rodion spoke and Evon's smirk disappeared. "Why, you're welcome, Mister Rodion. I think you'll do a fine job with raising her, I really do," she replied, a hint of wicked nastiness ever-present in her voice. It was then that Link pushed past the pissy Zelda, growling something that Evanescence couldn't quite make out. Oh yes, she had destroyed his vocal chords. How could she forget? She perked an ear forward and said, "What was that, Linky-boy? You'll have to be a bit more clear, you're a rather difficult to understand..."

But before the pack could surge upon her in anymore retaliation, Evon turned to the pup between her legs. Echo looked up at her, returning that equally blue gaze. "You heard what they said," she said to her. "Go on." Evanescence reached a paw behind her and pushed the pup's rear between her and the Midnight pack. Echo did not bound between Cinder's legs, however. Instead, she cast a look over her shoulder at Evon, as if questioning what in the world she was doing. Evon's face was a mask of steel, her blue eyes surging with an electricity that made Echo cross over to the other side. She still did not go between Cinder, however, and instead she stood there, as if wondering what to do next and what in the world all of these adults were on their hackles about. She didn't speak, though, her black lips a thin, emotionless line.

Evanescence raised her head high, her chest out and proud, a rather haughty stance indeed. She could tell that Zelda was not at all pleased with this pup, and that would be fine. "Excellent work, pures," she said, confidence in every word. "That wasn't as difficult as you all made it out to be. Now, so you don't get your tails any more twisted than they are, I'll be leaving these lands. And you should know that I will be back, eventually. Mainly because I know what that one's capable of..." Her gaze went to Echo, and then back to the rest of them. She turned her back, grinning. "Toodles!"

She loped off into a sprint, having other things to attend to now. She would leave them in their confusion and their rage. Silly pures... They think they knew everything.

Cinder
Cinder heard Zelda's snarls and protests of Evon being here. She looked up into the white wenches eyes and felt her mate brush against her side softly in approval. She was happy for that and felt all the stronger with Link by her side. She looked down at the pup and called softly, gently. "Come here little one." She said and lifted a paw slightly to motion the pup close. "Do not be afraid, we will not hurt you Echo." She said and glanced up at Evon. Anger boiling in her chest but she kept it locked deep inside so the pup wouldn't fear. How dare she threaten the child...and throw her away like some piece of trash.

She wanted the pup away from Evon. Almost afraid that the fem would kill the pup before she could reach the safety of Cinder's own paws. "Come now..." She called again gently and looked at Evon almost daring her to tell the child not to. She too, even for her tiny size, longed to feel her teeth sink into that bitch's throat. She looked back to the pup and smiled softly no hate in her eyes for the child.

Zelda's eyes never left Evon but her aggressive actions had sent panic through the pack. Rodion remained relatively calm but other were storing the pups away, watching them with wide eyes. Even Exodus came forth to proclaim this fem some abhorrent mark on this land. Breaden was highly distressed but she could not focus on the fem right now. Zelda wanted the pack to jump on her, tear her limb from limb. Ears flicked to the noise around her and Rodion asked Evon what she wanted. Zelda didn't give a damn what she wanted, death is what she should receive. For a moment her mind recoiled from her black thoughts but her conscience was quickly smothered by the snide look on the witch's face. The words she spoke were lost in the buzzing anger of her mind except that she called upon another and Zelda allowed a brief flick of her gaze to the side where a pup emerged. Her eyes were locked on the mini version of Evon and she finally tuned into what she was saying. Rodion firmly called her to attention and her growling subsided, she hadn't even realized she had still been making noise.

Instantly she quieted down and looked up as Cinder came forth and laid claim to the pup. Zelda actually snorted. Not at Cinder but she could feel how the others felt she might actually act hostile towards a pup. She made me angry but she was not crazy. "Of course the child is welcome here." Her voice was hard. "She must be taken care of Rodion she has done much damage to this pack..." Opening her maw to speak again but she was interrupted as her brother brushed past her, sort of pushing her to the side but not in a rude manner, merely his way of saying he would handle it. Still she stood highly agitated but her eyes were on her brother now, a wolf who had the highest vendetta against the she wolf.

Link walked past his sister, touching Cinder's shoulder on the way by saying that he approved of her actions. What was another pup added to their dysfunctional family? His tri hued form posed strongly in front of Evon and he flashed his teeth, the scar on his neck was long covered by his thick coat. Zelda glanced anxiously at her brother, all her instincts were telling her to chase this fae off the lands. She had hurt her only blood ties on this earth and that was unforgivable. Another snarl escaped but she quickly quieted herself. Zelda found herself stepping around Evon to stand near Rodion, her gaze still on the pair. Without looking at the alpha she spoke quietly but mostly in a snarl she said "She is the one who did that to Link..." There was no need to elaborate what 'that' was.

Link's growl was twisted, broken but it conveyed no less fierceness than his sisters. Looking from the pup to Evon's face his teeth clacked together and he titled his head, brow furrowed for a moment before it came rolling out of his mouth. "Leave....and........don't...." heavy breaths. "...come back." He had sworn that if he ever saw her face again that he would kill her but there were things more important this his personal vengeance. The pups for one and the safety and emotionally stability of the pack. A fight was the last thing they needed.

Braeden had been contentedly ignoring everything that was going on around her, feeling too anxious about all of the talking and the serious natures of the wolves gathering around. Instead, she had continued to watch the pups, intrigued by their size and their clumsy, unpredictable movements. Her ears flicked everytime they squeaked at one another. She watched them with such strong curiousity that she was completely caught off-guard by the arrival of a stranger and the ensuing ferocity displayed by Zelda. So startled, Braeden barked and then bolted, barely avoiding tripping over the pups in the process. Her deep brown eyes were wide, the whites showing clearly around the edges, and her ears were pinned against her neck, exaggerating the roundness of her skull. Hackles standing tall, Braeden barked whenever Zelda made a noise or a movement, and she twitched and started when Liar began herding the 'tiny wolves' into the den, her entire being flooding over with fear and worry.

With a low growl in her chest, Braeden watched as some of the wolves of her pack crowded closer to the stranger, and she began to stalk forward as well. She paused, stiffening, when the stranger looked over her shoulder and called out, her voice loud. Braeden's lips curled, and she took a glance in the direction Evon looked, to see another of the 'tiny wolves' appear from cover. Braeden took several steps away from the small wolf, watching its movements, just as uncoordinated as the others'. She could see that the little she was harmless and frightened, but she had no idea what to do about it. Socially clueless, Braeden just continued to watch the scene as Cinder stepped forward, placing her little self bravely in front of Evon without a hint of hesitation, ready to claim the whelp. Then she glanced around, looking for Varaak, and saw him sitting near to the den, in front of it, protecting it. She took her cues from him and paced closer to the den, remaining still, wide eyes alert and body at the ready.

Rodion growled at Evanescence when she decided it would be alright to show her attitude off around them. "Watch your tongue in my lands." She stated her purpose, finally, and he perked intently when she mentioned a package of some kind. A poor little pup showed herself when beckoned, frightened at Zelda's menacing presence, and he immediately looked up at her. He reasoned that Evon was not here to attack and allowed for his concentration to be broken. His attentions snapped to the snarling fae. "Zelda," he called firmly, "You're frightening her." His kind eyes turned on her tiny form. "It's alright, little one," he coaxed with a warm tone. He felt an ache in his heart for the little girl, but the ache turned to anger when the white witch threatened to end her life. "You will do no such thing. Though I thank you for thinking it through and bringing her to us instead of snapping her neck."

Just as he was about to say she was welcome here, Cinder spoke up. It was the first he had seen her for quite some time since the birthing, and glad to see her now. He was impressed by the force and intent she held in her stance. She had regained much strength, emotionally and physically, since the incident. Rodion looked back to her with questioning eyes, however, though she seemed quite sure. It was only natural she would want to take the girl in. He looked back up to Evanescence, silent. He would stand where he did, squarely in front of her. If Cinder wanted the pup, she would go around him. Regardless of the circumstances, he refused to move and create an open space for a fight or emotionally charged attack to ensue.

Vaarak said, "Cool! I'll bring me brother with me, then." His attention briefly turned to the pups and other wolves as Liar turned her attention to Fran. There was a wolf Zelda was acting hostile to. He wanted to join them, but he remembered his brother's words to protect the pups, so he heeded those words and remained where he was.

"I'm doing fine," Fran responded to Liar's question. "I don't like combat, so I wouldn't be of much use, especially with Balthier there to heal. I can only hope that everyone comes out as well as they can. Then she heard Zelda's vocals, and she turned to look over. Others in the pack who apparently recognized her shifted to more of a fighting stance. She turned her attention to the pups who were herded into the den. On instinct, she turned towards the den, making sure to catch Cinder's attention to let her know she'll position herself close to the pups. They must be scared from the sudden change in attitude in the atmosphere.

She settled down near the entrance, and said softly, "Are you all ok, children?" She didn't really expect an answer, but she was relaxed. The only thing she could offer was reassurance and hope they can sense her calmness more than the confusion and aggression.

Cinder
Cinder was looking away from the pups when a familiar scent filled her nostrils. No...it couldn't be...she turned her silver form quickly and saw the white temptress standing so close to the children.....her children. Daiji's mother had ordered them to the den and Cinder had felt Damean brush by her. He was safe...but Navi and the other pup. She quickly darted over and put her place between the pups and Evon. "Go.." she said and watched her daughter and the other pup run for the den. Her silver hackles were up as she stared at the white wench with silver eyes waiting for the attack. A low growl threatened in her chest and her ears were pinned back against her skull but then flicked forward as a small white pup was brought forth.

Oh no...She thought...she is going to kill that pup. Her maternal instincts wouldn't allow it. Small as she was she would throw herself at Evon if she tried to hurt that pup. But then she was asking them to take her..or else she was going to kill the whelp. Cinder spoke up before Zelda could reply. "Don't kill her." She looked boldy at Evon with distrust in her silver eyes. "I will take her."

Navi

Navi giggled and gave a squeak as Daija grabbed her scruff as they both piled upon Damean. She growled playfully and shoved at Daija with a laugh before slobbering up Damean's ear...that is until a shadow fell upon them and a white wolf that she didn't know stood before them. Daija's mother yelled for them to get to the den and she felt a fear creep in her heart. Her own mother, Cinder had leapt to her paws as soon as that familiar scent filled her nostrils and placed her small form inbetween herself and the female. She heard her mother's command and then shoved Daiji. "Go.' She said urgently and followed her 'brother" Damean to the den quickly. "What do you think is wrong?" she asked nosing Damean and flicking her ears forward. "Mama seems upset." she said.

Zelda's bestial snarl disrupted all pleasantries. "Ah, there you are," Evanescence replied in calm, not at all surprised that Zelda would come up behind her. And they were calling her hostile. At the least the Alpha was still containing himself, she gave him that. Her ears perked towards the panicking female now at his side - Oh, so she was a part of the Sacrifice pack? And her father knew her? Well, she seemed more frightened than vengeful, so there wouldn't be much to worry about there. Zelda now stood before her, her hackles raised and her lips pulled back. "It's nice to see you too, Zelda."

Rodion's tail raised. Now, everything was on high-alert as the entire pack began to panic at the sight of her. The pups were rushed inside and the newer wolves' heads' spun around in confusion. Funny, she hadn't even raised a paw yet. Go figure, these silly pures. She was one wolf against at least five. To fight them would be stupid, she knew she was outnumbered. Her blue eyes went to the Alpha's again. She would have liked to speak to Zelda about all of this, but apparently he had to stick his nose in too. "Anyways," Evanescence said, clearly annoyed how everyone was making such a fuss about this. "So you all don't blow a brain cell or two over this, I'm just here to deliver a... small package, you could say..." Evanescence looked over her shoulder at the snow behind her. There was no one there, until she called out, "You can come out now, Echo."

Directly behind her, a small pup rose out of the snow. She was just as white as it, like Evanescence, and she looked up at the other wolves with big, sparkling blue eyes. She was the spitting image of Evon, like a tiny clone. She stood at behind Evon's front leg, hiding and staring at Zelda's snarling face. Her ears were folded back in submission.

"I have no use for her, you see," Evanescence said to the pure wolves. "And if you're wondering why I leave her in the care of you, the answer isn't too hard. You're the only pack I know that won't completely tear her apart, because I know you pures. You don't have it in you. But, if you don't want her, fine. Then you should know that I'm probably going to kill her myself." She said this last part with a sick smile. She had no problem with killing pups - she had done so before, and it was why this little girl no longer had any brothers or sisters.

Rodion's auds twitched slightly as Evanescence's words spilled out again. She dismissed him as though it were trivial. She tried to mean it respectfully, but he had to hold back a snort. A stranger dismissing an alphen in his own lands. She sought Zelda. A couple of hairs stood on end. What for? Everyone in her past had caused her so much trouble. Another one would not be made an exception. Before he could even open his maw to calmly object, a sound never heard to his ears came tearing through the air. It disturbed him to see Zelda so ferocious. She snapped openly at the fae, and so he immediately put his guard on a higher level. His tassel raised and puffed like a bottle brush at the sudden alarm. He wanted to go to Zelda and calm her, but the sudden rage that came from her forced him to stay where he was, keeping her in place in the back and the front. "Well you've found her," He responded calmly, almost matter of factly, before his expression hardened and he almost menaced the white femme. "Now what is your business here, stranger?" Every muscle tensed as the stare he had been holding nearly became a challenge. Exodus came up alongside him, clearly emotional. He didn't look away, but spoke. "Exodus calm yourself. Now again outsider," he prompted with harsher words, accent biting thick and clear from his tongue, "What do you want? Answer well or I will let her have you."

Daija had just been ready to roll and pounce again when she felt herself lifted into the air. "Mom!" She protested, squirming feebly, "We were busy!" She quit immediately, however, when she heard the urgency in her mother's voice. There was that worried tone that called to her from early memories. Whatever was going on must have been bad or she wouldn't have been handled so quickly. There was a lot of snarling going on and it caught her off guard. What did nice wolves like these have to fight about? They sounded like Midnights. Or maybe adults were just like this. Maybe this was how they would be when they grew up. She suddenly wanted to cry as she was herded to the den and followed Damean down inside. She blinked away the layer of tears that threatened to spill over and regained her composure. She wouldn't grow up to be like them. She didn't want to have to bicker like them.

The way Liar and the others acted positively frightened her. As she peered at the hole of the den waiting for Navi, she scooted close to Damean so they were shoulder to shoulder, almost burying herself in him as she shuddered. "I don't know what's going on... I hate when my mom gets scared." The way she was positioned, when she raised her head it bumped Damean's chin. She pulled away to look him in the face, her own expression fraught with concern. "Do grown ups always fight like this?"

Was it so strange that she knew the female without ever meeting her. Shock was written clear on her face as she came up beside Rodion. "I know you" she whispered and tears jerked themselves into her eyes. "I know you. You're not Akiko, my father spoke of someone when my brother and I were very young, a white deamon who had taken away one of his best friends, it was you! You're her!" Zelda had every right to growl and snarl protesting her discust for this female. Exodus just stood there looking at her. Her memories of her father's words were painted clearly on her face and she looked in slight horror at this female. This pack, it'd never catch a break. This pack would hunt wolves down here... forever! 'stay away from her, do not get close if you ever see her you two, do you understand me? young or old I don't want you around that white deamon for anything' her father's words echoed through her mind and she took two full steps back standing off to the side but farther behind Rodion. If Zelda called she'd answer on her father's behalf but if not she'd stay far away, and knowing the female lived, she'd watch her back for the rest of her life... Blackish body shook though in intense fear and she thought of Aladar in Jabbar fighting. Oh man was life chaotic, it seemed to never slow down after you grew up from puphood...

Liar smiled at Vaarak's bursts of excitment and speed talking. He was young and spirited, she liked that about wolves, it seemed everyone's lives were all so bleek now. "On my words you can come and visit any time as long as there is no trouble." she laughed and looked at the pups again Daija was now trying to tackle a new female whelp while little Damean was stuck at the bottom. Cute. She looked back at Vaarak as he spoke again and let words flow forward about his brother. "Well, at times, quiet is good, specially in a sneak, and healing. Well, that's my job back home, I think I did a pretty good job on myself" she smirked looking at her side where there was no wound but only broken ribs from the midnight wolf. The bru had a nice sense of family, he'd make a good pack assesment member one day, someone strong and loyal if they were to all get close enough here with him. Yeah he'd tone down some day, if he found a mate and had pups he'd become alot more toned, like Khalon had... though his was from a travel so long ago when they left as pups never coming back as three but only one. She felt guilt again thinking of him and looked back at Daija. "I must admit though tha--" and she cut off as Fran came over. "Hello again Fran. How ya holding up?" she ment to ask about her pack member's leaving, if the wolfess needed any consoling or just talk. But as she waited a nasty barrel of a sound echoed from afront of them and Liar looked up in alarm thinking the midnight had come back for Liar. She watched as words were flung from an unknown females maw to another unknown female. Her body moved faster then light and she grabbed Daija placing her near the den where Cinder stuck out of and reaching for the other two who were a bit smaller and placed them right infront of Cinder. "Get inside, all three of you!" she looked at Link, panic in her face and stepped up, knowing Cinder, though she didn't know her, would go inside with them. Link would step up and Liar would defend the entrance with her life.

Blue orbs looked at Vaarak and Fran in panic. Though the female wasn't here for pups, she was hoping deep inside, the fact that hostile actions were being made sent a twing of memory through her and all she thought of was the midnight attacking her in the den. Now she was out, and she'd kill anyone who came close that didn't smell of this place and didn't act like it either. She wanted to call the other wolves close, having been attacked so many times now, having her children murdered... her body began to shake... her other children. Larka... she had left the little female alone, no. Yana was there, he'd protect her, and Red, and Jack. But who else, they were the only ones there. Junior was headed back, with Amor too, but could she trust them, after all he said, she had to though it was all that was there back home. And her and Daija would have to travel the lone lands alone to get home and she regretted not going straight there... She should have risked it, no... she was glad, she wouldn't put her daughter at risk, maybe running into the midnight again with no help but her own defenses, and she wasn't the biggest of anyone, not even anyone here, she was so small and fragile and broken. Worry, it wasn't anything good, but lately it had been her best friend...

Damean growled as more weight was put upon him and Daija joined the battle of the three fuzz balls playing. He felt eyes upon them and looked around seeing Daija's mother constantly looking at them. He felt jealous instantly she had so much care. He laughed though as Navi's foot touched his side and tickled him and all other emotions were gone. This was fun, life was fun here with pups. "Navi! When I get up. I'm going to tickle you so much!" he laughed again as the tugging on her ear sent a chill down his spine, it was when a shadow was sent across his face that he took a deep breath in shock as weight was quickly lifted off him and he himself was picked up by Daija's mother and ordered into the den. Again! He looked up at her with a furrowed brow in protest but her worry flooding from her made him obay and he swept past Cinder into the den. "Navi! Daija! get in here, your mom said so. What's going on though?" his words were suddenly aware and he wished he had stayed out of the den now and protested. Rawbones said not to be afraid and he ran in the den like a coward, but her worry scared him, he could feel it coming from her and he freaked him out a bit...

A bestial snarl echoed in the empty space of words before Rodion could reply. Zelda had approached Evon from behind, she had sought out Rodion before he would leave for Jabbar and found herself staring at the stark white form of this she bitch. Last time she had been here her and her damn family had thrown their whole pack into chaos. Liars, traitors. Another noise whistled through her throat. A warning to Rodion that what stood before him was danger, filth, a vile creature that needed to be purged. Fur raised up, lips peeled back and her head was low in a defensive position as she stepped forward. Her lashing tail alone signaled the extreme emotion running through her body. Zelda was prepared for battle, prepared to call the pack. Her temperament was not aggressive, as a rule she never acted on impulse or gave into her baser emotions or instincts. "Be gone from here witch before I call the pack to tear your limbs off." Another snarl, she didn't care if Evon was unimpressed by her display. Zelda had the means to back up her threat and she did not forget their little tango not so long ago. She also expected Rodion to take her lead, by god if he tried to get in the way she would not heed her alpha this time. Eirwynn and Songbreeze were gone now, unable to help tear down this demon but she would see to it that their pain that day did not go unpaid.

Evanescence met Rodion's gaze straight-on. It was proper to give an Alpha the fullest attention, and it was in her every respect to do so. She had noticed that more of the wolves were headed out for Sacrifice Forest, and though Rodion did not show that he was in a hurry, it was all in his voice. "It's actually no big deal, sir," Evanescence replied. "I see that something in another lands is going on, and I sense that you must tend to it. Go ahead, I promise that I will be no trouble." Her tone was musical and she smiled, blue eyes glittering in the bright sunlight. "But if I am still a concern, then I should inform you that I have been in these lands before. Zelda will remember me. Do you think you could direct me to her?" she asked, hoping to get out of this bru's way. She really didn't have any business with the Alpha - he was just the easiest to reach when it came to looking for other wolves. And right now, she was looking for Zelda. She stood patiently and passively. It really was not in her interest to attack... that was a year ago, and she had different plans in mind.

"Maybe I can visit some time! That'd be awesome." He listened to Liar speak, understanding most of what she was saying, but then she apologized. "You don't have to apologize for anything. Normally my brother apologizes for many things that I do... he says I talk a lot, but that's only because he's too quiet all the time." He took her change of subject in stride, not realizing she was trying to pull away from the topic.

Nevertheless, it would have seemed like he completely forgot about anything she said earlier as he continue, "Skills? Well... my brother had been teaching me many things while we traveled. He taught me a little bit of healing, how to defend myself... he tried to teach me to be quieter... in case I had to walk quietly, and to be less... umm... hyper as he calls it, but it was so... boring... and lonely. It's nice when it's quiet... but not all the time, you know? I don't like everything he tells me to do, but he's still the coolest brother ever." He was smiling at the thought of Balthier, unaware of what he was doing right now.

Fran nodded to Rodion, and walked back to Vaarak, Braeden, Liar, and the pups. She sat down, watching. Things seemed to be peaceful, as if they were all just hanging out, although it wasn't. She guessed it seemed that way more because of Vaarak's very outgoing personality. In a way, he was still young, and growing up traveling was different than growing up in a pack.

Liar looked at Vaarak with soft eyes only to have them turn to slight wonder and pity. "I'm sorry to hear that... in a way though you have to thank him for if he's not telling you then it's not good, I hate to say, and then if it's not good, atleast he were to save you." She smiled at him looking at the pups while they wrestled seeing Daija join in and then looked back at Vaarak. "You should come see it! It's beautiful! I think you'd like it, it's a change of course but it's pretty." She looked offwards as more wolves even the wolves from this pack left. "You're strong for staying behind. I know watching family leave is hard, my mate, god forgive me, I dunno what's going on with him. He's not really... around, much. I went to get Daija alone cause for some reason his behavior has sent me over the edge to where he's like a whole new wolf and I don't know if I can trust him anymore" she let the words flutter to the ground. "I'm sorry. I've only just met you and I just spilled my life story right there. Forgive me" she said feeling her cheeks grow hotter and hotter with each passing second. "Um, what skills... are you good at?" subject change, and horrible one at that.
