| It was hot. To hot. Congen glanced to the left and to the right, only seeing a barren wasteland stretching out to all sides . "Why would anyone voluntarily live here?" he thought to himself. behind him was the cool forest, and many miles back where the mountians. There it was cool, there he was in his ellement. He started walking. Just... straight ahead, as there was no point of orientation in this lands. The Lone Lands. That's how that weakling called them, before Congen had broken his jaw. For him it was just a stupid desert.
With every step, the journey through these wastes, became heavier and heavier. His majestic fur, long and thick, perfect to insulate him in the cold north he came from, was here more of a hindrance, as it din't helped much in these hot climate. Sweat and dirt started clogging the underside of his pelt, making the majestic white a filthy brown.
Water, he needed water. And he needed it now. He had been walking for hours and now, with the sun at his highest, he was getting dangerously close to dehydration. He was more stumbling than walking and then he fell. He lied on the ground for some time, heavily panting, trying to cool off desperatly . A few minutes later the first buzzards started circling over him.
"No...no,NO!" he refused to give up, he refused to die in this bloody desert, herefused to only serve as food for scavengers. With suddenly adrenaline running trhough his entire body , he startedwalking, no , he started running. He would find water, or die in the attempt.
But it wouldn't be enough. A several hundred yards further , he collapsed. And this time he couldn't get up. He knew he was going to die. He would now use his last resort, something he didn't did since the day he was born. He howled for help.

| Congen turned his head, or at least he tried, when he heard the sound of footsteps through the sand. He saw someone aproaching, but the searing sun blocked his view. It was a femme, he could hear that from her voice. He couldn't understand everything she said he picked up fragments, and he knew he was getting desperatly close to a serious sunburn. She had asked if he could walk. Did it look like he could? None the less, he forced his legs to rise him up, and they obeyed. But the challenge was far from over, as he made a step, he almost stumbled and fell again. Only sheer will holded him upright. He would prevail, as he always did. He made another step closer to the femme, ignoring the pain and weakness in his legs. He took a look at her, she appeared to have a darker pelt, but the sun was still blocking most of his sight, and he couldn't descern more details. "Could ... You ... He...lp ... me..." He mutterd with a thick dry tongue, and a soar throat. Help. such a simple word, and still he almost never used it in his live. His pelt was completly covered under cloggy dirt, he knew he wouldn't make much of an impression now, and his live depended from the choice of an uknown wolfess. Help. Such a strange word.... | |

| Congen froze at her swift movement, for a moment, he thought she attacked him. When it looked like she only meant to help him, he quickly (and although he wouldn't never confess, gladly) accepted her aid. Then he started with walking. Slowly but steadily he walked into the direction she pointed out. Even during the walk he tried to go forward, as much as possible, without her help, his constant distrust being one of the few things keeping him by consciousness.
Why did she helped him? He keeped thinking at that. He had walked into uknown terrain, even without knewing where to go. He even didn't had overthought the fact he could have died. And he would have, if this unknown femme didn't had helped him.
Speaking of her, he even didn't had time to look at her properly. She appaered to be a smaller femme, with a brown pelt and black paws and mask. she had something mysterious arounf her, something he couldn't descibe... He, however, perfectly knew how he must look by now: a brown, dirty mass of wolf, not a hint of his majestic white fur see-able.
When he looked back up, he could discern the reflection of water not far in front off them. They where nearly there....

| As the femme left, Congen reached out for the promising water. His dry tongue touched the water and brought in the first load of the cool water. With every gulp, he felt more and more revigorated, and his strenght came back. Then he remembered what the femme had said, and stopped drinking. He didn't wanted to look like a complete idiot by negating her warning. Then it was time for a bath.
He drowned himself in the cool and refreshing water, and when he came back above, majestic white had replaced dirty brown. He looked whole again. He came out of the water, and shook of the water. Then he streched himself, and sat down near the pool.
The femme had dissappeared, probably on a hunt, maybe for him, maybe for herself. He waited for her, asking himself who she could be and more important, why she helped him. He would never have helped someone who had brought himself in a situation like this, he would have merely walked past. She didn't. She had spent time and effort into saving him.
So he waited, meanwhile pondering why she had helped him. He would ask her. If she came back, that is.

| With his eyes staring at her intensivly, he stood up, and slowly walked to the dead hare. Calm, like he had all the time off the world, he reached out for the hare and started making his way through the soft belly of the dead animal. The frsh meat tasted good, and his already returning strenght became further fortified. Soon, he would be back at full condition, rezady to take on everything the future would throw at him.The hare had been killed with deadly percision, his back broken, and Congen now knew she was an good, if not excellent huntress. Then he continued with his meal, gnawed the bones clean, and washed his now bloodied jaws, in the pool. Then he turned towards his saviour. Now came the irritating part. He would have to thank her for rescueing him. Better get over with this quick. He was still intrigued by the fact she helped him, eh would never do such a thing... "Thanks for saving me..." He said with a low voice. "I am Congen." He continued, now a bit louder. Then he asked "Who are you, and why did you helped me?". | |

| Congen almost had bitten his tongue when she asked how he got turned up lying dieing in this desert. "Well...You see...I was a bit reckless and overconfident...So i had figured out I could simply cross the desert, it didn't came up my mind I could die" He somehow sensed lying to her had no point. She looked like a type that wouldn't be fooled by false words. He was wondering about himself too, why was he telling her so much, he just knew her, and everything he said could be used against him. Time for a differnet aproach. "Combine this with my very thick fur, and you get a dehydrated, starving wolf" He said it nonchalant, like they where talking about some other wolf that had been stupid enough to blindlessly cross an unknown desert. "Now I have answered you , so that makes me asking you again. Where do you come from? And are there more wolves over there?" He said, while old plans sprung back to life in his mind. | |

| Fur.Fall off. It was the first he thought when she had answered his questions. Ohw for Bhaal's sake, recalling the name of his older brother, why his fur? When he had left the norths , he had knewn he would have to change a bit, but his fur... He sighed, fate was never with him. Not that he needed something like luck. Whatever the world had thrown at him, so far he had survived. For now. Then he realised he would need her help to survive. And the worst was he would have to admit he was helplessly in this deadly enviroment. "Well, I am thrown out of my old pack, so I probably couldn't go back to there. I am a foreigner to this land, and it almost killed me on my first day. That makes searching a new place to live or stay the only option". A pause. "So, I think I will need to call in your help to survive this... place... and get somewheresafe. So I ask you... could you help me?" He looked into her golden eyes, and waited for her reply. | |

| Learn something from her? He could learn her something! That he was almost back in condition. And that he could hunt good enough for himself. It was also cooling down by the night, so he wasn't hindered by the sundering heat any longer. A small breeze touched the land, and he could smell a hare, somewhere in front of them. He started to walk left of her. When she would chase it, he would try to intercept the hare, as it couldn't be looking out to a second wolf, when it was already running for his life. He would show her... Meanwhile he was pondering at her other question. Where did his heart lies? Well, it wouldn't be Pure,or Neutral, so when looking towards his former actions and how he had behaved, he considered himself a Dark(er) one. "Well, some way you could suppose my heart lies at the darker side. Where does your heart lies? Just asking." | |

| As Mynx started to chase the hare (Ooc: she did, didn't she? I couldn't make it out completly, so, sorry if I am wrong) Congen started running towards the left, staying behind Mynx's eyeline, to keep the supprise effect, as he had predicted, the hare had circled towards the left, unaware of the danger the other wolf posed. Congen tried to estimate how the hare would run further, and took the gamble. He went towards some small plants close to the route he thought the hare would choose, and tried to get as low as possible. He had thought right, as the hare was almost coming straight at him, hoping to search refuge amongst the plants against his chaser. Mynx, to her credit, was getting closer however, and Congen hoped the hare could hold out those few mettres longer. As he saw the hare closing in, he braced, and then jumped out towards the hare, maw open wide. (Ooc: I don't know... but I have the strange feeling I did a bit off powerplaying in the above...? If there is something wrong just pm) | |

| Congen had catched the hare at it's neck. Now he was pressing it down at the ground, slowly stangling it with his immense force. He had always liked it if others died a painly and slow dead, and this time, it was no exception. No escape for you little one he thought . He pressed harder, and with a muffled sound, the hare died. Now he loosened his grip on the dead animal, and turned his head upwards, to see Mynx standing some mettres away. She probably was hungry, as she had hunted for him earlier, and hadn't eaten in the meanwhile. He suposed he could give it to her, he had only catched the hare to show her he wasn't completly helpless. He walked up to her, and laid the dead hare at her paws. "And what did I learn?" he said to her, a smile starting to form at his lips. | |

| He gladly accepted her offer, and teared of the other half. After that he smacked it on the ground, and started gnawing towards ( where he thought they would lie) the kidneys of the hare. His favourite. While he was eating, he glanced at Mynx. Where would her heart lie? He geussed somwhere near Neutral, as she had helped him, but she had a mysterious thing around her, which made him to think she wouldn't be a Pure. He paused his meal for some seconds, looking into the night-sky. He wondered what Bhaal was doing now. Considering he still lived. But Bhaal would probably be still alive, it would take more than some random desert to kill his older brother. He finished his meal by breaking the bones, and sucking out the marrow. Then he looked back to Mynx."So where does your heart lies? You still didn't answered that." He asked. | |
