| He paced. He snarled. He needed something to vent at. The stupid brat had gotten out of his grasp thanks to Manheim and his cursed whelp followers. He tore a leafless shrub from its roots in anger. And now, he had lost his lover. She left him since her whelp brother had challenged him and nearly died from it. So what? Who needed her? HIs growls ripped through the silence of the the mating lands as he attempted in vain to quell his rage.
What he needed was a woman who was able to understand his emotion. one who wouldn't leave him in a time of despair, anger. One he could tell about his hidden dread of death, of judgement. It was half his reason for paractically tearing out Morgan's throat. Fear of judgement before a clear answer. He exhaled hot breath at the dirt, practically tossing himself onto his stomach. He rolled to his side, wanting nothing more than to wallow in self pity, drown in his self-inflicted misery. Why was he the victim of his own subconscience? He needed someone to talk to, to listen to his rants on life and hate. He needed someone who shared his darkness, his almost perverted sense of evil.
He lifted his head, an effort he was barely willing to make, and swallowed his pride. A desperate howl escaped from deep within his chest. A voice - hurt, rasping, but provocative filled the night air. He wanted a woman, not a girl simply curious about the dark side. Hey, even the depressed needed a little intrigue.
Now he would wait. His sapphire optics, the downfall of many a femme, narrowed and peered into the night. Would they come? Would one come? His large, agile paws flexed against the ground, talons making miniscule canyons in the dirt, then crossed over one another in what would seem like patience. His thick whipcord thumped the ground once or twice, he wasn't counting, as a rare and brief glimmer of optimism made itself known in the pit of his stomach, momentarily absolving the constant black bundle of dread there. 'Someone investigate. Someone please care. Please pretend I matter to you. If not for a long while then a short one, as long as I have something I can try to love.'

| Vega lifted his head, smiling at the small fae who approached him. "Well," he was feeling at least a little better already, "You came fast." The horrid dread in his gut twitched, pulling itself tighter into a knot of anticipation. He rolled himself over swiftly and sat up to face the white femme more directly.
'You don't look all that good at the moment.' The drake had to chuckle at that. He nodded in acknowledgement of his own pitiful state. "Yeah, I'm not in the best of times right now. I've had a couple of rough patches lately." His bright sapphires moved over Temptation's form, appraising her silently. He laughed to himself again, looking down at his paws. "It, ah, seems I'm not exactly the greatest or nicest guy on the planet." His eyes moved from his pads to her face, still pointed down from the obvious height difference between them. "But I'm feeling a bit better right about now." He could be cheeky when he felt the time called for it. "So... you're here. I should introduce myself." He made a bow, sweeping a leg beneath his chest. "Vega James Constantine, your black knight." His trademark grin pulled his kissers back, his true nature beginning to shine through as the tight coil began to loosen. Somewhere, in the recesses of his mind however, the rage quivered, waited for something to make him snap. He pushed it away for now, trying his best to ignore the angst. If she looked closely, she would be able to see the emotion in his eyes. He kept up the sarcastic chivalry. "Now may I have the pleasure of your name, before we further continue our conversation?"

| ooc: lol, I love it when characters change on you.... it's like you are no longer in charge of their personalities ^^
| As a smile lit the lips of the hessian before her, she had to hold in a laugh. Well, that was quick! Mood swings were no stranger to her, not with sisters like Evon and Epica. "Would you have preferred that I had come slowly?" A little grin lit up her features. She could be coy when she wanted to be. True, it wasn't how she normally acted, but for the moment it seemed appropriate. This bru looked like a devilish sort, and Temptation had a lot of experience on that front. Not that she was all that interested in any of the Lacrimosa males.
"It seems that we have found common ground, then. The past few months has hardly been a cheering time for me either. Maybe it's the atmosphere." She looked around at the lands that she had called home for the past little while. Fire and Ice. They were hardly ideal, but she guessed that they held some appeal.
"Says who? As far as I know, niceness is overrated. Most who practice it are faking anyway." She grinned, her tone light and carefree. She noted his searching, hungry look, and it sent her blood racing. She knew that he probably liked what he saw, and he wasn't so bad looking himself. Innocent little Temptation, what have you gotten yourself into? She laughed at his next comment. Down boy, she thought. What makes you think I'm interested. Haha, probably because I most certainly am.
"Well, hello there Vega James Constantine." She could see him loosening up, but he almost reminded her of Evon for a second. Outwardly cool, but seething inwardly, ready to burst. "Within Temptation, your white maiden. Full of youthful innocence." She had to giggle at that. Maybe she was embracing her father's side, but she definitally no longer felt innocent. She knew that her usual exuberance lay just below the surface, but finding a new persona was just what she wanted at the moment. It was like she was no longer young, naive Temptation, but a new fem. One who knew the world and it's dark places, yet still chose to walk in the shadows. And this is why I love meeting strangers, she thought happily.

| OOC: I know. I like Vega just because of his moodswings. maybe he'll pull one on Temptation... XD "Within Temptation? Such a fitting name," Vega smirked. He stood now, beginning a slow circle around her, as though she were pray, though his body language showed nothing near those kind of intentions. "However, I sense no such innocence in you. And besides," He decided to try a page from her book and copy her, "Innocence is overrated." The hessian stopped finished his loop and just looked. He didn't feel like he could help himself. Something about this femme fatale got his blood hot. There was an attraction here, more than he had felt before, and it was enough just to look at her. He could feel a slow, stupid grin forming on his maw, and he shook it off before he could let her see it.
"Gah... I hate that I'm taking things so fast. You... I'm a little mesmerized. I'm sorry. I'm not usually this weak... I-I mean, take it as a compliment but... ugh I'm sorry. I sound like an idiot." Vega paced back and forth twice, realized what a twit he was being in front of a perfect catch, and sat down. He took a deep breath, pulled himself together, and muttered to himself. "Way to crack in front of a lady you idiot..." A clear of his throat and he was back to normal. "It is a pleasure to meet you, O White Maiden. I have to agree with you. This place is far from ideal. What do you say we look for someplace a little more on the romantic side? He stood back up and raised a paw tentatively. He had to wonder if she would follow. Maybe she would think he was just trying too hard.
She seemed to like him so far. He needed this therapy. The last company he had was a girl who he thought he had loved, who he tried to corrupt, and whose name he couldn't even remember. All he recalled was her relation to Morgan. And how he wanted to strangle the both of them now. And William... that slime of a brother. He was likely to join up with Tirisfal or any of those pure snots. His heart thumped in his chest with the leak of adrenaline into his system. A growl, not even of his own will, began to form in his chest. His eyes clouded slightly. He hesitated, and put his pad down on the dirt. The understanding that he was thinking in a chain, that if he kept this line of thought he would likely explode at Temptation was trying desperately to knock at his brain. But it wasn't getting through. He stared at the ground, claws flexing. Barely moments passed, and he was growing impatient. But he waited. He bit his tongue, held his cool exterior, and waited for her response.
'Vega James, you will not ruin this chance. She may be willing to help you, put up with you. Now stop acting like a schizophrenic baby and get over yourself. Temptation is within your grasp, now give in to her.'
His muscles relaxed. He sighed and gave her a submissive look, smiling. "Hm. Nevermind me. You decide."

| Temptation couldn't stop the smile that graced her lips at his quoting of her words any more than she could stop breathing. It was her nature to never hide her emotions unless it was absolutely necessary. He stopped circling her, a fact that she appreciated, for now she could just rest her eyes on him. What a fine hunk of wolf you are, she thought appreciatively, loving the way he was looking at her right now.
As he stumbled adorably through an explanation, noting that he did not look the type to be tongue-tied often. Was she really that enticing? She waited a moment to respond, his reaction to her threatening to impede her vocabulary as well. She was able to pull together a response, though, with little difficulty. She wasn't very experienced in the ways of brus, but she knew enough to keep a cool head when speaking to them. There was something about this bru that called out for her to play, to bait him a bit. Her femine wiles were just begging for a run. "Relax, I don't bite." Now it was her turn to circle him. "And the compliment is duly noted." She flicked her long ivory tail, a strong desire running through her to make his reaction even more out of sorts.
He seemed to pull it together, though, and when he brought up romance, she pondered her response. A mood seemed to take him, though, and she watched while his thoughts turned inwardly. A shiver passed through her as she caught the gleam in his eyes. She was not scared, for as the daughter of Lord Nightwish of the Lacrimosa pack, not much did frighten her. She merely felt a delicious thrill pulse through her, adrenaline picking up at the sight of his malign intentions. She was glad that she was not the one whom he was envisioning right now. It passed, though, as abruptly as it had started, and she felt herself relax. Finally she opened her maw to reply.
"You have quite the ego, you know. I don't believe that I have given any clear indication that I want you in that sense." She shook her head, then stopped, facing him. "I suppose you must be observant. Lead away, black knight, and I shall follow willingly."
She was merely playing, but inwardly she was soaring. She was caught up in his company, and now she couldn't get enough of his conversation. His mood swing was already pushed from her mind, for it did not matter overly much to her. If he wanted to turn that anger upon her, so be it. Until then, though, she would take him as he was.

| OOC: I just realized in my last post I spelled prey like pray. Oops. XD
"Darling, ego should be my middle name. But really, is self confidence a crime?" Vega gave her a mock bow and started off at a walk. He ssemed to go quickly, but his long pillars covered much distance at a slow pace. He checked behind him a few times to see if she was following. He trusted her, but he noticed that femmes had a way with slipping out under his nose. His tassel swung side to side slowly, happily. He knew she would be able to easily recognize his joy. The boiling in his blood became a warmth that gathered in his cavernous chest. He had the feeling that she assumed he would try to take her. A year or two ago that might have been the case. But now he was willing to just spend time, talk, get to know who she was. He felt that she needed to do the same for him. To even begin to comprehend the depths of his often crazed thoughts, she would need to talk with him. Introductions and laughs only went so deep. He gave her a bit of a sheepish smile, one laced with desire. "You're actually following me? Brave." He winked and continued on. The bru's eyes scoured for the perfect place in this wasteland. And soon they rested upon it.Before them was an oasis. Cottonwood trees and a deep pond rested in the dirt and dust. Such things brought a happy smile to his face. This was the kind of good in the world that didn't make him sick. Another smile was aimed at Temptation, but it was sly. He took off at a full run, seemingly out of nowhere, as his burst of speed carried him behind the trees. He hid carefully. Vega knew she could easily follow his scent, but he hoped she would play along. He even shut his eyes to keep their blue glow hidden from her sight. Faes. They got him so playful sometimes. He waited patiently, anticipating her appearance blindly. His fur began to stand up as every second passed, feeling as though she would pounce on him any moment. 'Please please don't think I left. Come find me beautiful. You're good for a romp or two, right?'

| OoC: oh no, the vortex!!!!! -dies- haha!
| "Not where I come from, though I believe that some here would beg to differ." She followed his slow pace easily despite her small size, actually willing him to go faster. Oh how she wanted him. He seemed the type who would take a fem at will, and a part of her wished for just that. Still, her mind balked at the thought, for she was still young, not yet having had the experience of joining with a male. She did not know this bru, and somehow that fact made her somewhat skittish. She didn't show this, rather pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind. She was an adult, and nature would run the way it always had. Besides, he hadn't jumped on her yet, though his eyes were full of the lacing gleam of desire.
"Brave?" She smiled cockily at him, jesting. "Stupid is more like it." Should I be scared? She chuckled inwardly. No way. Besides, if things get out of hand, I can always take care of the issue at it's source. One quick snap would do it. The thought was an agressive one, but she handled it in the same lighthearted manner that she always did.
He had found them an oasis, a little patch of heaven in the middle of these cursed lands. She glanced around, her eyes traveling over the pool and the trees surrounding it. Taking in the beauty of it, she soaked it up for a moment, letting it wash over her. This was why she loved being free, with no responsibility, no pack to please, nowhere to go. She could fully appreciate the beautiful disorganization that was nature. There was no order to it, no reason why this oasis was here other than the fact that it was. It made her appreciate the disarray that was her life a little more.
Suddenly, she looked over to see Vega cast her a sly grin and then dart off. Ah, so her knight was galloping off into the sunset. Was it not customary for the lady to accompany him? She watched him go until he disappeared into the trees. So he wanted to play, did he? Well, she was game for a little excitement.
"Oh dear, left to my own devices." She looked around, not bothering to take a scent. She would play fair. Sauntering around trunks and winding her way through the undergrowth, she made her way amidst the forest. It was a relatively small one, but he had hidden himself well, and his black coat was an asset for sure.
"Now where could he be?" she mused aloud, her ears twisting this way and that. It was the last sound that she made, though, and suddenly her pawsteps became silent. She walked as she had walked since birth, with the silence that had been drilled into her each training lesson. She wanted to startle him, for he seemed to desire such a thing to occur.
Suddenly, to her left, she heard the sound of something breathing. With a huge grin she pinpointed the source, then leapt, no warning given.

| OOC: *Slurping noise, gets sucked in* NOOO!!! ...and now I like the smaller font better. Vega had peeked, unable to keep from cheating. His optics opened just as Temptation leapt. He shouted, surprised and delighted to see her coming at him. He rolled over, exposing his charcoal and brown underside to her paws. His back paws kicked up reflexively but not hard, Playfully fighting her. "Sneak!" His teeth nipped at her shoulders and legs in jest. Holding still, he smiled up at her. His right paw pulled her head gently down, gave a laugh and a whisper into her aud."Care to fight me back?" He didn't let go, heavy mitt resting on the base of her head, just settled at the joint of her neck. It flexed just slightly, urging her to take a snap at him. He hadn't played in many years, and he was just yearning to do so now. His pelt blended with the shade but his eyes shone, glimmering in their element. He could have laid like this forever, staring up at what looked to him like an angel. And angels were never part of his life until now. His whipcord swished back and forth pushing the loose dirt, leaves, and fragments of sparse grass patches to either side of his rear. A nearly perfect half-circle formed from his anxious wagging.A cottonwood seed blew with the desert wind that pushed its way through the trees. It landed in his ear and he twitched it, losing focus for just a second. He knew it was all the time she needed to make her move and he let it pass, ready for her attack. At least... he hoped. She had complied so far, so he wondered if she would be willing to keep up his game. A shudder ran down his spine, one he didn't show. This was so much what he had wanted. The blackness was gone. At least for now. He hadn't felt this free since he was young, before he had turned from his set path. But still, it was a darkness he could not escape. It killed him inside to know he could not leave it behind, but like an addiction, he needed his darkness to survive. It was part of who he was. He could see it in her too. He knew Temptation had evil within her. Whether they considered that to be the Fire or the Ice in these lands remained to be seen. But perhaps with her by his side his rage would be tamed, as it was now. If things could stay this way he could be who he was and forget. Forget his self-loathing. Forget Lennox and all of them. 'Forget. Forget the past. Live now. Live for everything around you now. Live for her now.' He thought this, he knew his mind dwelled on it, but his face, his body showed no change in emotion. His thoughts were mainly of her and his connection to her golden eyes, his position beneath her now. But still, in his his subconscience, in the back of his mind... | |

| OoC: I do too =3 and it may take me a bit longer in the next week to respond cuz I'm goin to my grandma's for a visit, but I will most likely still be able to get on ^^
| A rush of joy ran through her as he shouted, delighted that she had surprised him. She let out a bell-like laugh as he stuck his hind legs out, her momentum making her breathless for a moment afterwards. As his teeth nipped her she flashed hers in response, eyes dancing playfully. She felt like a pup in pre-training, rolling and nipping just for the fun of it. His whispered invitation was unnecessary, and she flicked her long tassle. His paw was still upon her neck, and she left it, liking the weight of it upon her.
In response she snapped, teeth millimeters from his nosetip. The move was controlled, and now was her turn to place her lips next to his aud. "You think you can handle it?" She had to laugh again at the absurd nature of the comment. At the moment she hardly felt dangerous. Softly she nipped his ear, then looked at his vivid blue eyes. This time there was no trace of the hidden anger, and she felt a rush of happiness that she had eased it for him. She knew what it was like to put up a front. Slowly she stepped off of him, shrugging off his paw and circling. He might have thought that she was giving up, tired of playing, but the opposite was true. This time she would let him make the first move, see what he had. Her gaze was inviting, almost teasing. Let's see your moves, she thought happily.
She couldn't help one thought that kept coming, however. What next? She was a lone wolf, a pack creature with no pack. Vega's company was enough, but would he really want her trailing after him? I am more than capable to look after myself, she thought, but do I want that lifestyle? She hated the lonely nature of it, the boredom that set in from having nothing to fight for, no territory or pack to protect. She had no mission. These were worries that had no place for the moment, yet still they irked her. Maybe it would be best, when all was said and done, to go back to Lacrimosa with her tail between her legs and ask Nightwish's forgiveness and mercy. Perhaps, because the job was done, her life would not be forfeit. Suddenly, however, anger filled her at the thought of groveling to her old alpha. Who was he that she should submit? Why should she come crawling back?
Nay, I will remain here. Her eyes remained fixed on Vega. At least here the brus are respectful. Here they do not force one to submit. Little did Temptation know, but a fire had been lit within her now after her daring in refusing to fulfill her duty. She was no longer content in just following orders lest they served her well-being also. She had subconsciously learned of her own power, and now her life would not be the same.

| OOC: No big deal. Temptation's fangs on his ear sent an incredible shiver down his spine. He enjoyed her while he had her, and the moment she stepped away, he was on all fours in a quick roll. "Can I handle it? I don't think you know what you're asking, my dear Temptation." He lowered his head, the top of his head to his tail becoming a straight line. He watched her circle, carefully taking in every move she made, noting how she circled, when she turned. His father, regardless of his pure heritage, had taught him well. He let intuition guide him with grin on his face. He released a playful growl and leapt, soaring over her. He landed outside of her circle and stood proudly for just a moment, then resumed his stalking. He waited and watched again, just in case she tried anything. He couldn't remember actually having fun like this in a long time. And it was exhilirating. He took her in again, eyes unashamedly devouring her, and attacked. His pads spread, he aimed for the space where her spine and ribs met in the hopes of knocking her over. He wanted her to respond. He was desperate for her to tease him or do anything at all. He wanted another rush, another reason for her to excite him. It was all he wanted. Just a little bit more to make his blood boil again. He could just stare at her, but a little bit of action wouldn't hurt right about now, even with the deep respect he was already harboring for her. OOC: Yeah, it's short... and spastic... and a little scattered, but I have to go. | |

| Temptation showed her fangs teasingly as he joked back, circling. "Perhaps that is a gap in my education that you need to fix, mister Constantine." She could see him studying her with a practiced eye and noted that he seemed well versed in combat. This was not a true fight, but banter, yet still she yearned to impress him, to get him on his back and make him surrender to her. Oh how the blood races, she thought joyfully. Instinct was pulling, but she held back, waiting for him to make a move. She had gotten the jump last time, and no one could say that she wasn't fair.
She saw his legs coil an instant before he jumped, and her ears flattened as he soared over her. Now he was playing with her for sure. She turned, standing still, watching as he continued to pace. She moved her little paws a bit, gaining her balance so that she felt completely comfortable on the earth. His eyes consumed her and she let her honey-hued eyes match their intensity, drinking up his form. Still, however, she kept observing as she would an opponent, her level-headedness threatened but not overcome.
When he leapt, she was ready, but although she braced he still knocked her over. She had known there was no hope for her size to stand against his, so she gave a little yip of happiness as she rolled over on the ground,. Taking an extra roll, she sprang to her feet, then took a running leap, her teeth aiming for the scruff of his neck. It was a playful move, with no intention as far as injury. She kind of hoped that he wasn't one of those brus who let their anger get the better of them and lashed out, even in play. There had been enough of them back home, and she had the scars to prove it. Then again, if that were the case, she wouldn't have to hold back, would she?

| A laugh erupted from Vega's throat when her fangs caught his neck. He let himself go down beneath her weight, or as little as there was of it. Back home, this would have been taken as pure aggression and he would have snapped at the femme without a second thought. Thankfully, he had been away long enough to have shaken off the instinct that had been so ingrained in him. He growled, purely out of play, and bit at her paws, then her throat. Releasing her skin gently, he smiled crookedly from his position on his side, brows crunched. Vega raised a paw, scratching gently from her chin to her chest. "I surrender." He was glad to do so, but he wondered if she had intended to do more damage. He didn't doubt that she would continue to challenge him if she wanted. Just to push her, he flicked his tongue out and caught her nose. "Unless you don't accept it..." Inside he grinned enormously, on edge, just waiting to see what she would do. | |

| She was somewhat surprised when he buckled under her weight, knowing that he was merely giving her the move. A strong bru like him would have no problem throwing her off, let alone holding her weight. She was thankful for the gesture, as it showed more purely than anything else he had done so far that he was not an abusive, tempermental bru. Dark-hearted as she may be, even she hated when good games went bad because of agression. He bit at her paws and throat and she had to supress a purr-like growl of pleasure. Her blood was pounding, every instinct heightened.
The game was over, however. She shivered as he ran his paw down her throat, the feel of his deadly claws against her ivory-furred neck not entirely a bad thing. She laid a paw on his shoulder, then bent down. His tongue caught her nose and she did not flinch, instead quickly licking his ear. "I accept your surrender, but regretfully." She smiled teasingly, her paw running down his chest as she stepped off of him, allowing him to get up. Perhaps he hopes for more violence, to get him in the mood, she thought with amusement. Well, if that is the case, perhaps I can prepare him in other ways... no, down girl. No hurry.
The adrenaline from their play was starting to drain out of her, leaving her with a satisfiied, langorious feeling. It wasn't a tired sort of peace, but more of a happy one. She hadn't felt this way in a long time, and so she was basking in the glow of no worries, letting her muscles relax. Giving her back a little stretch, she looked over at Vega, eyes glimmering with hidden meaning. "That was an experience. I wonder, what other interesting opportunities are you going to offer on this beautiful day?"

| Vega's optics burned. Temptation stretched and sent every one of his nerves on end. He raised his brows, drinking in every last bit of her. He was thoroughly pleased and excited by every bit he saw of her. As she moved her muscles, he came beside her, large, taut frame sliding against hers. A deep, purr-like noise came from his chest, signifying his pleasure at being in her presence. He pushed his head beneath her chin lovingly and released her from his affections. 'Now we're getting somewhere,' he grinned to himself. He nipped at her auds, just barely, and paused to answer her question. "I'm not psychic darling," his voice cooed deeply. He was very quickly getting accustomed to pet names. "Perhaps..." another nuzzle to her neck, "We should find out what's in store together." The drake looked ahead of him, tail swishing back and forth as he peered through the trees. He saw what was perhaps the best part of the oasis, the rocky outcrop hiding the pool of crystalline water. "Perhaps we should continue by the pool. The sun's there. Things may... heat up a little." Now he was giving off his own cliches, but it wasn't like he cared. He took a step, asking her to follow, and let his mind race at the possibilities. | |

| He ran along her and she felt her pulse quicken, it's normally steady beats turning to snare taps as his head ran under her chin. She tipped hear ears back and closed her eyes pleasureably, his purr resounding in her ears. This was an easy bru to please, no doubt, but still she wondered where her newfound confidence came from. Maybe she was finally coming into her birthright. After all, she came from a long line of fatales who had twisted and connived their way into power and glory. Now was her turn. Yet, at the moment, she did not feel twisted. She just felt alive in a way that she had not in a long time. This was different. There was no treachery here.
"Oh, you're not? Well, then I guess we have no choice, do we?" She smiled, as he buried his nose in her neck once more. She was quickly growing to like the constant touches that he gave out almost casually. Here was a male who had been around femms before, and who knew them. It didn't bother her. Obviously it was working to her advantage at the moment.
Her gaze followed his lead, falling upon the outcropping, and she purred appreciatively. "Wonderful idea. A little more heat couldn't hurt." She jibed him a bit playfully, her pelt constantly touching his. She would let him lead her for now, see where it took her. It looked as though things were going to get very interesting very quickly.

| Vega laughed deeply. His throat rumbled with the warm sound, and his own heart finally began to pick up pace when Temptation nuzzled him again. Her warmth against him sent his heart into flips, but he wouldn't let on. His outward cool was a trait he needed to keep. Giving up his persona would make him look weak, and he had no intention of losing that, no matter how much he was drawn to her. The drake quickly took her hint to lead, but first circled her once, never losing contact with her body. He growled darkly, playfully, nipped at her tail, tan his muzzle down her side, and licked her ear. He gave a look back that would have been casual if not for his raised brow and cocky grin, then led the way as though nothing had happened. He continued to the outcrop and disappeared for a brief moment within the boulders and short trees. A small ledge jutted out over the water, the unterside gleaming and shining with a clear reflection. It was there he appeared. Vega looked back at Temptation, still smiling, and crouched to look into the pool. The depths were only visible for so far before they became obscure blackness. The blue green tint shone on his face, his eyes shining to the point where they seemed as though they would burst with light. He dropped his body, making a last minute decision not to jump in. He would wait on the warm granite for her, perhaps for a far less tame version of a cuddle. They could always swim later. And anyway, he had never said anything about letting their activities come to a cool down. He had barely begun. | |

| His laughter excited her. Everything about him excited her. Yet still she kept her head, remaining calm in the way that most fems could. He too seemed to hold his front well, a trait that most brus had trouble with. Normally a male this toyed with would have pounced already, taking the fun out of the situation. That he was willing to draw out their time made her respect him even more. It also increased his appeal by tenfold, and she was not planning on ending this playful encounter anytime soon.
He led, but first revolved around her, always touching. She felt his nips and caresses and then saw his cocky grin. She flashed him one in return, walking behind him. She would follow for now, content to walk in his wake until the time was right. Then she would lead, and he would follow. He disappeared for a moment, but as she rounded the corner she saw him sitting down at the edge of the pool, his eyes blazing as though lit from within with aquamarine flames. For a moment, she wondered if he was considering a swim. She was so warm, she did not know if that was what she currently wanted, and so was glad when he decided against it. Silent pawsteps carried her over the stone to where he now lay, and she too lowered herself, looking out across the beautiful pool before lowering her eyes to gaze into it's depths. The brown of her eyes did not reflect as his did, rather shimmered with the reflection of light. The water was beautiful, but his eyes were much prettier, and so it was only a moment before she tired of her current view and instead looked back at him. A small smile quirked up the side of her maw, inviting, and she leaned over to softly lick his muzzle.
"You were right. It's much warmer hear. Already the heat is getting to me." Her eyes shone with anticipation. She was well aware of his intentions, for they matched her own flawlessly.

| Vega's smile was soft as he pressed his forehead to her temple. He watched the white lines from the sunlight on the water as they shimmered across her face, somehow intensifying the snow white hue of her cheeks. Mesmerised for a moment, he snapped himself out of it with a kiss in return, aimed somewhere at the base of her jaw. His tassel swished against hers gently; he rested his head on her shoulders. His voice was inches away from a whisper. "The pool is far less beautiful with you here." His tongue poked out to catch her ear again, but slower this time, intentionally drawn out to more clearly get his point across. He had seen the look in her eye. He remained calm, though inside his mind was reeling. He had a feeling she would be able to feel his heart pounding with him so close at her side. It made him laugh inside as he began to think about their relationship. By all definitions, they still barely knew one another. And as of right now he was totally fine with that. Vega lifted his head slightly, gripped her scruff, and tugged gently. He dragged his fangs on her skin. He wondered what she would do in response to such a sensation. He was willing to lay here and draw out their play and affection as long as she wanted, but he was also letting her know he was ready when she was. "Hmm, don't let the heat get to you too fast, Temptation. Things will come to a boil before they should." His blazing optics caught hers, trying vainly to hold her stare. His twisted, tempting grin appeared on his kissers. "And we wouldn't want that to happen now, would we?" | |

| Black and White. Opposites. She looked at their paws, resting side by side at the water's edge, struck by the contrast that they presented. Two like minds in such opposing forms. His eyes were on her like a bru who was seeing heaven for the first time.. well, she was about as far from divinity as one could stray.
"Then perhaps we should move. I would hate to spoil the mood." She grinned, nipping his cheek lightly. The feel of his fangs dragging across her skin, however, caused her to twitch her tail, the primal pleasure which it gave her delicious. Her heart pounded alongside his, rapidly rising and falling in an irregular pattern. One night. That was all she wanted. A few moments where she could forget who she was, why she had come here, and the woes and disgrace of a lost meaning. Vega was in truth a knight, for he was saving her for a time from herself. She would enjoy this while it lasted, for however long he wished to stick around. He was a bru, so she didn't expect much by way of loyalty. Then again, was she really that loyal either?
"Mmm, I'm not worried. Some can't take the heat. Me, I revel in it. The hotter, the better." She looked at him with molten gems, holding his gaze. They met as equals. "I have a surprisingly high boiling point." Her meaning wa sstill guarded, but he would most likely get the message. If not, then the play would continue. Her very being was crying out, however... she wanted this, oh so badly, and it was getting harder and harder to wait.

| The drake smiled at Temptation's choice of words. This word play truely was amusing. He had to wonder what she really thought of him. Was he something to love, or a plaything for another lusting fae? He found himself caught up in her eyes as she held his gaze successfully. He took in every one of her words, and they echoed in his ears. His whole body began to throb. Oh yes, this was a very familiar feeling. His dark expression curled in response to her voice, and a shudder flew down his spine once more. The fur along his back rose and fell, and behind him her tassel flickered. He knew what she wanted. He knew what was coming.Vega stood slowly, a gleam in his eye. He was standing just over her, looking down with lusting eyes. Nothing shone now but pure desire. "I understand what you want from me, Temptation. And I will give it to you. But I have to know if you want this to last. Whatever you want is fine with me. Just give me an answer before I give you myself."OOC: Ha, what a drama queen... XD | |

| The desire was clearly written in his eyes, but for some reason, he held back. Temptation ached with the thought of what was to come, she wanted it so. For once, she did not want to have to look back. If he wanted to continue this aquaintanceship, then so be it. She did not care one way or the other. Or so she told herself. It would be nice, though, if it were to last. What fem did not want committment?
Irony of all ironies, it was this that he asked her. She looked at him, then laughed softly. "I could ask you the same thing, Mr. Constantine. Are you the type of bru who will sweet-talk a young, naive fem like myself, get what you want, and then leave without even a second glance? Or is there honor beneath that dark pelt?" A black knight indeed, if he were one of those rare brus who actually cared.
"I myself am torn. On one hand, I would love to have you near, that I may take advantage of you whenever the mood takes me." Her eyes sparkled with amusement, and she hoped that he knew that she was jesting. "On the other hand, maybe after a time, we would get tired of one another. And I would hate to regret this fire. Maybe the memories are sweeter." She shrugged, but her eyes told a different story. If he stayed... well, she couldn't expect it. It would be amazing, though.

| Vega was briefly surprised by Temptation's question to his question. So he was cornered now, was he? 'Hmph, Mr. Constantine,' He hadn't heard that one yet. Quite amusing. His smile faded. He lowered his head, nuzzled between Tempation's ears. His voice was low, husky. His thorns pinned back, he was beginning to change mood again, the obsidian knot in his chest materializing once more. Not in anger. Pain. He had never once been questioned in his true intentions. The femmes he had taken were like him in their demeanor, come for the fun and leave. It was different this time. Though so far it had been a lot of jest with this one, he felt a connection. Something about her made him want to stay. What was that word again? Love? Something between a sigh and a growl rumbled like thunder in his chest. He held his cranium against hers, closed his eyes. Frowned. "Not this time, Temptation. I see something special in you. If our relationship were to end I would have taken you and left already. I want to stay with you." He emphasized want. There were many things he wanted. They were all overshadowed by this single moment. "Take it from me. Memories are nothing but bitter." 'Eres...'His jaw quivered. "You ask of me and I have answers. There is no honor left within me. I have been dishonored by everyone I know. But I wil lnot leave you. I won't abandon this feeling I have now. I fear I may break if I do." Would she think him weak? He could not take back his words now. For once he spoke his mind.
He nuzzled her from his position, wanting nothing more now than to melt with her, stay like this forever. Even coupling now took a backseat to this. But still he wouldn't have minded. He just needed her response to either pull him out of his depressing stupor or throw him deeper into it. He prayed for the former and in his mind screamed at the latter, desperate for her to take him in.

| She sensed a change in him and instantly regretted her words. He brushed between her ears, however, and she knew taht it was not she who had really brought on this switch. Her stomach was tight as well, and it took her a moment to figure out why. When she did, she could hardly stop her eyes from widening in wonder. She was anxious to hear his response! Little Temptation, outcast of Lacrimosa and spawn of Nightwish, was put out of sorts because of a question about commitment. Oh if her sisters could see her now! For a moment, she closed her eyes, memories of the night they were seperated coming back. Her own failure to serve her sisters, her lack of disconnect when it came to killing her own flesh and blood, the one who had given her life. Never before that night had she hesitated on a kill, and to even consider running would have been laughable.
None of that matters, she thought, snapping back to the present as Vega rumbled and pressed his head against her own. Her past was no threat to her now, and besides, he was here. For now, at least.
Or... longer? Temptation listened to his words and she smiled, for a moment all shields lowering, giving him a glimpse at the her without her jokes, her sarcasm, and her witty humor. Somehow both innocent and careworn, lighthearted and naive yet haunted. "Well, I will keep you for however long you wish to stay, be it a lifetime or not. And not all memories are bitter." She looked at him, eyes dancing. "I surely hope that you will not look too unhappily back at this day."
She saw that he was upset, though, and her tone got softer, gentle even. There was no playfulness in her voice now. "You say you have no honor, but I don't buy it. This right here, this is your honor. No matter how others may disrespect it, or how much you try to hide it, this is you." She licked his ear quickly, then laid her head on the back of his neck. "And if you do, for some reason, decide to leave... well, I may just have to hunt you down." She purred with a small laugh, She could tell that, right now, all that both of them wanted was gentle companionship. The next step could wait.

| "This right here, this is your honor. No matter how others may disrespect it, or how much you try to hide it, this is you."Coming from her, it sounded like the wisest words in the world. And they very well could have been. He lifted a brow, let the smile return to his face. "I suppose that's what I gained from my father." 'Pure that he was.' Perhaps it was only a temporary feeling, but he suddenly didn't hate him quite so much anymore. He began not to hate himself so much. With a new found resolution, he lowered himself back to the ground, curling gently behind Temptation. Vega's muzzle still rested on her head, his voice a whisper after a kiss to the back of her ear. "Thank you. For saying that. I think I feel a little more liberated now." He nuzzled her with saturated affection. "You won't have to hunt me down. You've already claimed my heart. I only have to claim yours in return... unless I already have?" His head peeked around her face, waiting. This wasn't the first time he had asked a fae to be his, having taken Morgan's sister before, but even then their relationship wasn't as strong as this one. He had a feeling he knew what her answer would be, but he was still so anxious to find out. Anticipation stirred, eradicating the blackness. There was so much he wanted right now, it made his head spin. | |

| Temptation watched his features, relieved to see them once again lighten and his mood grow happier. As his lips released a whisper of his past history, she smiled in response, glad that he was willing to share such things with her. Some brus were oddly closed-mouthed when it came to that sort of thing. Then again, at the moment, she knew that she wouldn't be filling him in anytime soon. It was better to let such things lie as they were. Her childhood stories would hardly add to the romantic air, anyway.
His chin found a resting place upon her head and she sighed, cushioning her own chin upon a small ivory paw. He was curled behind her, and his warmth made a matching sensation bloom within her chest, spreading out to add to the sun's luxurious heat. She did not respond to his thanks, for the words were unnecessary. No gratitude was needed, for she had merely spoken the truth, and such a thing did not take much effort or thought.
His next statement, however, demanded a response, and she grinned. "Well, that's good, for your legs are so much longer than mine, I'm not sure that I would be able to catch you if you ran." She closed her eyes, savoring the moment. His sweet words hung in the air, and she rolled them over in her mind for a moment before truly answering his question. "And though I have known you not even a day, I can already say that I feel more comfortable in your presence than any I have ever experienced. I don't know that it is love quite yet..." She opened her eyes, looking down at his paw next to hers, "but it's as close as I have ever been."
Hopefully that was what he wished to hear. It was too soon for her to tell for sure, but she was sure that, were he to stick around, the answer would inevidably come to her.
