Jewel would pause as the others began to gather for the hunt she was to lead. She was a bit nervous and took a deep breath looking over at Cumulus for a moment. Her two toned jewels studying him only to be pulled from his face as the others came..the pups included and Jewel would chuckle. "Sorry little ones. Not this time. Soon though." She said sweetly to the young not trying to dissuade their enthusiasm. She would look up seeing Doctor and would smile at the older male. "It would be good to have you a long Doctor." She said with a slight wag of her tail. In that moment she wondered where her brother Robbie was....her heart sank slightly. "Alright then. No sense dallying...we should go." She would say and would turn lithely and lope into the trees heading for the deer trails to begin tracking.

Namaria had been indeed asleep. She woke up with a whimper and a pant...her form slowly rising up to try and move...She called out for someone, anyone not knowing where she was.

Esa gave a throaty yelp when her sister collided with her, sending her to the ground. She hadn't been expecting it, and didn't even notice Elysia running towards her. She wrinkled her little snout and nipped at her sister's paws, then forced her way up so that she was standing. Her ears pinned back in annoyance when Elysia suggested that she be the prey in the game of 'hunt'. "No way!" she complained, glaring at her sister, "If anyone's gonna be prey, it's Haru." She then turned to the male, grinning mischeviously. Crouching down, she went into a stalking position, getting ready to pounce at the boy. "You better start running, or I'm gonna get you," she warned, tensing.

Haru perked up as he heard his name, and saw that Esa intended to 'hunt' him. He blinked, glancing between the two girls. Were they both going to try and get him? It didn't seem very fair, but then again, he'd never really been the center of attention. Either way, he wasn't going to just stand there and wait to find out. "You can't catch me!" he taunted playfully. Laughing, he turned away and bolted (at top puppy speed), glancing over his shoulder to see what was going to happen, hoping they would give chase.

His hues casted skyward at the sound of a howl, a hunt would be good for the pack, but he had more pressing issue to attend to. Casting his gaze down to Cirrus, the male's words echoing his thoughts and concerns. The granite male stopped to think over the situation, and where the whelps could've gone. The rather suspicious femora had disappeared along with them, something to note, but he wasn't going to voice that assumption. He doubt Cirrus had met the woman, but his gut told him that she was involved. It was never good to assume something dark of another wolf, but there had been intention in her hues, at least from his own vibes from her. Cardinal's thoughts snapped at Cirrus' possible explanation. Cardinal didn't know much more then Cirrus did, regardless the idea was plausible. "Possibly, but either way we'll have to try and find a scent." Cardinal replied, his gaze casting back to where the border was. It wasn't like the whelps had stay within the land, they would know how to get back to the main site, he figured. The large male continued to lead the way to the borders, perhaps even just past them they might find something.

Elysia perked up a bit at the sound of a hunt, the childish need to run about washed over her, but it was quickly repressed at the words of her father and Bright. The young fem stretched again, still ridding herself of the rather pleasant sleep. It had been long with the mild interruption of fear from the water, which if she recalled had startled her awake. Tiny auds perked at her sister's question, and a devious smirk danced across her maw. Bounding up quickly she attempted to tackle her sister down, smirking playfully. "We'll pretend hunt, and you can be the prey." Elysia joked, amber hues glancing up at Nuri, before back to her sister.

PostSubject: Re: Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley   Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 12 Icon_minitimeThu Oct 20, 2011 2:06 am

Bright looked to Nuri who apologized for leaving her waiting. She shook her head gently. "That's alright, I was just being impatient," she assured him, "Perhaps I shouldn't be so headstrong, but I needed to see them, to know they were okay." She smiled and looked to the pups again. She could tell they were disappointed with not being able to join the pack for a hunt. In due time, they would be called upon to help, but they were much too young and fragile for such a task now (which, of course, they stubbornly refused to believe).

Esa looked up at her father when he commented, flashing him a cross puppy look before planting herself firmly on the ground, a sore pouting expression etched upon her face. Then she perked up as Haru came wandering over, looking up at Nuri with a glint in his eyes; he obviously had something to prove to his elder. The boy bounced in front of Nuri. "Look, I can run just fine!" he said, before giving a little spurt. His little puppy legs took him sprinting maybe 10 ft. from the older wolf. Then he tried to turn on a dime and come rushing back, but his coordination was lacking and his hind end failed him, sending him slumping clumsily to the ground before righting himself again. He raced back to Nuri, looking up at him with a defiant puppy gaze. "Well?" he questioned, tilting his head, "Don't you think we can hunt too?" It was clear that he had completely failed to notice his clumsiness, and thought himself quite the racer. As Esa watched, she merely rolled her emerald hues, scoffing at the slightly younger male. I bet Ajax would have done that 10x better, she thought, frowning when she remembered he was missing.

Bright watched the interactions of the whelps, seeing nothing wrong with their actions, though it was clear they would need to sternly be told that hunting was not for pups. Still, it was amusing to watch their expressions, and Haru's little attempt to impress his elder. He had a try-hard attitude, but his paws were clearly still much too big for his body. He had a lot of growing to do; they all did. When Haru finally stood in front of Nuri, seeming to expect that he'd changed the adult's mind, Bright went over and nuzzled his shoulder. "That was brilliant," she said, trying to boost his ego before adding, "But hunting takes a lot of practice, and you won't be ready for that for many moons to come.."

"Well what're we supposta do 'til then?" Esarosa piped up, glancing between Bright and Nuri. She glanced back towards the den momentarily, wondering if her sister was still lazing about. That pup! Is she still sleeping? she wondered, She's hardly woken up since she was born! Esa wondered if her sister would ever change, or if all her littermates were to be boring or lame, especially now that Ajax had gone on an adventure. She missed watching his confident antics and trying to be a part of them; he wasn't scared of anything, and Esa knew he would try everything. Maybe that's why he ran away... she wondered, I might too, but... I don't think I can. I'm not brave. Though she was a sturdy little femme, she didn't feel like she could leave her pack, the familiarity and the safety of it all... Then she shook her head, realizing her thoughts had really drifted off from what she had asked.

PostSubject: Re: Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley   Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 12 Icon_minitimeWed Oct 19, 2011 2:13 pm

Ooc- I didn't realize so much had happened since my last post X_x I just read ALOT really fast so excuse me if I miss something.

Nuri smiled at his children pleased that they at least seemed to trust him. Finishing his conversation with Ali and smiled kindly to her as she went off to her duties. Doctor returned then speaking of Bright. Apparently she was still ill which was concerning to Nuri. "Yes of course we can arrange a visit to her den." After all she had done for not only her children but his as well he would always owe the she wolf. But his attention was caught of another wolf whom he had seen but not exactly registered until now. Though he still turned to look at the pups he found the wolf asking if he could be of any assistance. Nuri let Doctor speak, he seemed to be a good mediator. A good wolf to have around the pack. But when Serenity (As Doctor called him) spoke of a battle in Jabbar his ears immediately perked up. His alpha instincts kicked in. Yes he would rather like to know about this battle as well. And lucky for them Serenity seemed amiable enough to provide the details for them. Tirisfal had been going through so many of its own trials that they had scarce time to keep tabs on other packs.

Something like this though Nuri should have heard about. He guessed they were more out of touch then he had initially imagined. Something would have to be done about that in the near future. Ranks needed to be more organized around here and once everyone got settled he would see to it. So much work to do...

He drank in all this information grateful that Serenity seemed to know so much. He had known about Akira's children though...eyes flashed thinking about the white witch and an even more painful memory of Rina popped up in his mind. Well he had these children now to focus on and they deserved all of his attention and protection.

Once he finished Doctor commented speaking of maybe organizing an alliance. Nuri looked at his packmate with a raised brow. "An alliance would certainly be an interesting venture but I fear it would bring unwanted attention to us as well. We can discuss this as a pack more later though." Luckily Tirisfal rarely was directly involved with the darker packs Midnight Meadows being the prime target. He felt sorry for the pack but they were a group of tough wolves to withstand Muerta for all these years.

That seemed the end of the conversation and Nuri noted that off in the distance Ali called for Robin . Good so the brute was still about being diligent as always. Then Bright's tired form came from the trees apparently they had been talking for too long. "My apologies for keeping you waiting for so long Bright." He felt bad that the sick she wolf had to come all the way here especially when she needed the rest. Hastily he moved out of the way so that she could have easier access to the pups. Looking at the interactions between all them made Nuri smile. At least there was happiness in innocence.

Ears flicked when a call went up for a hunt. And he chuckled when Esarosa was the first to volunteer herself. Bright's frown slowing her down. Looking at his daughter he smirked "First you have to learn how to walk before you run dear one." Glancing to Doctor who wanted to join the hunt he nodded in approval. The howl had sounded like young Jewel's and he knew that her mother had probably charged her with the task and the more experienced wolves in the hunt the better.

He realized he had been taking a while, speaking to Nuri and Serenity. Doctor could admit he probably should have hurried back before Bright got too impatient. He supposed now that Bright was here, he might as well join the hunt. With a quick glance back at Bright, he said, "Stay around here for a while and don't overexert yourself." Turning back to Serenity, he said, "Don't feel obligated to join the hunt. You can help Bright and play with the pups if you'd prefer."

He walked the short distance to Jewel and Cumulus and said, smiling, "I'll join the hunt this time." He allowed his mind to wander while waiting for either more wolves, or for Jewel to lead. It seemed like things were almost starting to calm down. Hopefully Cardinal and Cirrus could at least find signs that the missing members of their pack had indeed left. It wasn't likely traces of their direction could be found.

Nothing... There was not a trace of the whelps that Cirrus could find. They searched the lower dens near the lake, only to find them vacant. A howl rose and fell in the air of a hunt; his stomach grumbled, but he pushed it from his mind. He could eat when they got back. Finding the missing members was of upmost importance, and he nodded when Cardinal mentioned checking the borders for tracks. "Good idea, considering how muddy it is. Let's just hope they haven't been washed out by the flooded creeks or rain," he said, following him. Though Cirrus and his brothers had crossed the border, they were headed to the opposite end, near some very sharp-peaked mountains. They looked nearly impassable. "I'm just wondering, Cardinal... What of the other packs around here? I mean, I don't want to assume or accuse anything, but is it possible that a neighboring pack picked up the kids by chance?" he asked. He didn't know if there were any dark-hearted wolves, but it was a possibility.

A white, sunset-flecked brujo silently passed them, heading for where the pack was. Robin came upon his family and Cumulus, hearing of a hunt. He smirked at his daughter. "So, this is your idea, huh?" he chuckled. "Well, best of luck. I'm going to sit this one out." He sat down next to Ali and nuzzled her neck. "I think you should sit this one out too," he whispered. "There are some things I think we... need to discuss."

Ali paused, her blue eyes focusing on her husband, but she nodded. "Yes, I believe we do." She looked to her daughter and the young male beside her. "Be safe, you two. Remember that we are always a howl away if things get too dangerous." Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Bright leaving her den, pups in tow. Ali smiled - yes, Bright would be making a fantastic, timely recovery. And when she looked up, she could see that the sun was peeking through the clouds and shining down on them all. Maybe things really were starting to get better...

PostSubject: Re: Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley   Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 12 Icon_minitimeThu Oct 13, 2011 1:12 am

Bright had nodded to Doctor as he went off, declaring that the pups would be escorted to see her. She waited as patiently as she could, laying there in exhaustion from the blow to her head. But as time passed, she became more and more restless, and felt like it was taking the brute much too long to return with the whelps; had he been entirely truthful with her? She became unsure, and rose to her paws. The wolfess had to steady herself, waiting a moment to breathe deeply before testing her gait. Impatiently, though, she moved forward, determined to be separated from her pups no longer. Disoriented at first, she found her bearings and trotted with more confidence, following Doctor's tracks all the way to Ali's den. She could scent the other wolves gathered around as she approached. Amongst their individual odours she picked out the scent of the young ones, and was relieved. They were fine.

She approached the group of wolves, giving a shy smile to those she did not know and dipped her head as she passed by, though attempting to avoid Doctor's gaze. She knew she was supposed to stay behind and rest until she was entirely well, but she couldn't have waited any longer without knowing how her whelps were. As she poked her head inside the den, she saw that Nuri was within, visiting with his daughters. Then she saw her son, alone. A pang of grief struck her heart as she was reminded that her other boy was still missing. Forcing such emotions back, she put on a great smile and called out, "Haru! Esarosa! Elysia! I'm so glad you're all okay." She grinned as Haru came bounding over to her, more inclined than the other two to come see her, as she was his true mother. She gave a little dip in her posture, inviting playfulness.

The boy dashed in all his gleeful puppiness towards his mother, nearly tripping over his clumsy paws to reach her when she invtied him to play. He leapt up at the side of Bright's neck and nipped the base of her ear, and she rolled onto the ground. Delighted, Haru jumped on top of her with a clump of fur clamped in his little jaws. He slipped off the other side of her and plopped himself onto the ground on his head. He grumbled with annoyance and sat up, looking up at his mother with a furrowed brow, like it was her fault he'd fallen.

Esa looked up as Bright entered the den, calling to them each. She glanced to her sister, and then watched as Haru dashed off and bounded towards the woman eagerly. She'd been resisting the urge to play since she awoke in the unfamiliar den, and seeing Haru run off made her react. She turned to nip Elysia playfull and then chased after Haru. She had to dodge around as he jumped at Bright and she rolled to the floor. Her tail high in the air and wagging, ready for a good run, she dashed outside the den, only to come into the midst of a bunch of adults. She heard talk of a hunt and pricked her ears to Jewel's calling howl. Her eyes widened with excitement. The pack was going on a hunt! She raced back inside the den and bounced up and down in front of Bright. "We're going for a hunt!" she yipped, her emerald pools flashing, "Let's go!" She looked to her sister. "We get to go for a hunt with the pack!" she exclaimed, then looked back to her mother who was frowning, and she flopped back on her rump with utter disappointment.

Bright merely smiled at Haru when he gave her the look he did, glad to have romped with him. And there would plenty more time to play around, which she looked forward to dearly. It had been so many moons since she'd felt happiness that she had entirely lost track of the time. She had been searching far and wide for her juvenile whelps who'd snuck off on an adventure without her permission; she had originally trusted their charge, but after her mate died and they never returned, she had felt there was nothing more to do but seek them out. Since becoming pregnant, however, she'd given up on finding them. She knew they were out there somewhere, adults now and fully capable, so her only responsibility were to these youngsters. Following the howl of a young femora, Esa came running up to her, excitement filling her eyes as she exclaimed about a pack hunt, and Bright could do nothing but frown, unsure how to tell her she was much too young for a hunt. The femme rose from the den floor and went to the entrance, blocking the pups momentarily from exiting while she looked to the so far gathered hunting party. She would have loved to go, but she had whelps to watch.

Already there was a feeling of disdain at the possibility of finding the missing wolves, considering the storm had not only covered their tracks, but the scent's had went along with the weather. Despite the obvious problems, Cardinal continued to sniff the air, and search the terra. It was enough that he tried, and the granite male was determined to find any sign at all. With Cirrus to help, finding any marks would be easier. Cardinal continued down the slight hill, by the dens there wouldn't be anything, they had cleared them all out prior to the worst of the storm. Auds and nares were alert for anything, but his doubts continued to echo. He hadn't ever really know the missing whelps, but he was sure he'd smell their parents on them, and he could see how a Tirisfal wolf carried himself. It was interesting to think about, but over his journey to FnI he had seen many packs, each one's wolves had a certain way of movement. Pushing the thoughts behind, Cardinal glanced back to Cirrus. "Let's head to the border, maybe we'll catch tracks heading out." That was assuming that the whelps had fled in fear of the storm.

|--|

Elysia awoke to the sound of voices, after being brought up with her siblings to another den, she had fallen asleep. Being stuck in a storm and carried to another den had taken a lot out of her, well, that wasn't entirely true, she just saw it as an opportunity for a nap. Auds perked at the sound of a voice that was familiar, lanterns opened to the sight of a large bruja. The scent of which also became familiar, her father. She continued to lay on the soft den floor, eyes drifting over to her sister who was also up. Elysia yawned before standing to stretch a bit, wondering what was happening. The urge to run outside and play washed over the young fem, but she refrained, more so because her father lay before her than anything.

Jewel would blink at her mother's words. "Me....?" she would say flicking her tail unable to hide the shock on her features. "A hunt?" she blinked her two toned eyes once more then she remembered Cumulus was there...and now she probably looked like an idiot....but...wait...why should she care? *blink* She would then lick her pink nose. "Oh....um....yes...a hunt....." She would give a nod. "I can do that mom." she would give a wag of her tail to show confidence but felt more nervous than anything. She would smile to her mom and then would look to Cumulus. "Well...lets see if anyone else wants to come hunt then." She would nose her mother and then would trot off flicking her tail and lifting her pink nose to the sky sending up a howl....the hunting song...which should rally anyone who wished to come hunt with her. She hoped some of her packmates would show ....the more wolves the bigger the game. Her song ended and she would look over at Cumulus and would give a wag of her tail.

"Even better," Ali said, smiling. By this simple statement, she knew that Jewel was her true daughter - always thinking of others before herself. It was then that an idea occurred to her. "You know what? I think instead of me and your father organizing the hunt... We'll leave it up to you. You're old enough to take some leadership in the pack, now." She turned to Cumulus. "A hunt may also be your chance to contest a rank, if you so desire."

Cumulus nodded, and out of the corner of Ali's eye, she could spy the white flash of her husband returning to the mainlands. His pelt was thick with mud, but despite his harried appearance, there was always something that felt very warm in Ali's chest when she saw him coming home.

Jewel would look upon her mother seeing that coy smile. Oh brother...not mom too....*Inner groan* She would look over at Cumulus as he introduced himself to her mother. She was however plesantly surprised that her mother was so kind and not teasing ...which was a major relief to her. She would look at her mother and would take a deep breath and would nod. "Well that is a good thing mom..." She would say softly. "I am glad to hear Bright is doing well." She wagged her tail and would glance at Cumulus before looking back at her mother. "You should share this with Bright, mother....I can always go hunt something." She offered and would shake out her snow colored pelt and would twitch her pink nose.

PostSubject: Re: Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley   Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 12 Icon_minitimeTue Sep 06, 2011 9:24 pm

Ali sighed, her ears folding. Namaria was fast asleep, her large belly heaving with every breath. Ali watched her with worried eyes - she fem was not in good condition, it was very possible that she would miscarry... She would have to keep an eye on her. She watched the pups follow Nuri out of the den, in a single file line like ducklings. Well, there was hope. With both her and Doctor's skills, and the luck that Bright had been found, a full recovery looked promising. She padded to the mouth of the den, her stomach growling. She hadn't eaten before the storm. She raised her head and called to her husband, telling him that the mixture for the pups was no longer needed, and that he could come home. She was about to call for her daughter, when she spotted her in the distance, approaching alongside a male. Slung between them was a goat, its milksack heavy and full.

"Who do we have here?" Ali asked with a coy smile, blue eyes turned to the white wolf next to her daughter. He dropped the goat at her feet and replied, "Uh, Cumulus, ma'am. Me and my two brothers have decided to take residence here recently." His heart was beating fast in his throat. There was no mistaking that this was Jewel's mother, and he wanted to make a good impression. He even lowered his head, as if in a small bow. Ali could see right through the young bru - she could sense how nervous he was, and there was no mistaking that he had eyes for her daughter. Unlike her husband, though, she did not push it. Instead, she smiled at him and said, "Well then, Cumulus, welcome to Tirisfal. I am Jewel's mother, Alaina. Though, you may call me Ali. I am the healer and delta of this pack." She turned her gaze to Jewel. "We won't be needing the milk or the rest of the ingredients for the substitute. Bright has awakened, and Doctor and I expect a full recovery."

Her stomach growled loudly, and she blushed. "But that doesn't mean we're just going to let the kill go to waste. If you two are hungry, you're most certainly welcome to eat it. When Robin, my husband, returns, he and I will likely organize a hunt. So do not worry about anything extra."

Elsewhere in the lands, Ali's call rose over the trees and fell upon Robin's auds, telling him that he need search no more. He sighed and bowed his head. At least Bright was all right now, from what Ali had said. The pups would be okay. But still... Where was Robbie? And didn't someone say that Ajax was missing too? He had no doubt that there was a search team already employed, but a part of him knew that it wasn't any good. He had been wandering around before them. If Robbie or Ajax had wanted to be found, they would have made it known. They were gone from the lands... and it was questionable to as if they were ever going to return. It was a fact that he would have to accept and move on. It wouldn't be easy for Ali, he knew, but a brisk autumn was on its way. There were reasons that winter was the birthing season.

He was about to head back to the dens and catch up, when he noticed a pair of golden eyes watching him from the brush. The arctic straightened his shoulders and flattened his brow. "Who's there?" he called, voice booming. A dark, muscular hessian emerged, his jaws pulled into a smirk, laughing. Robin was not amused. "Who are you?" he barked, guardian skills kicking in. "If you're here from the lands of Muerta, know that you are not welcome. Neither are you welcome if you intend harm on any of us that reside here."

The hessian rolled his eyes. "Keep your pelt on, bub," he growled, walking right up to him. Robin took a step back. "The name's Nimbus. Dunno if you saw me with the two other wolves comin' in, but it's good to meet you too. Nice 'n' friendly, I see."

Robin lowered his guard. "I'm sorry. I did not know you were a newcomer. But, for curiosity's sake, may I ask why you're wandering around these parts? Most newcomers tend to stay inland to get to know everyone first."

Nimbus shrugged his charcoal-hued shoulders. "Eh, not much of a social type. I like to keep to myself. Don't cross me, and I won't cross you."

Robin didn't like the bru, but he knew that only if he agreed with him would peace be maintained. "Good enough for me. Let me or Nuri know if you find anything... suspicious."

"Aye," Nimbus replied, nodding. "Intruders be the last thing you gotta worry about when I'm around. Now, go to your woman. She's callin' you."

Robin let his maroon gaze linger a few moments more, debating whether or not he could trust Nimbus, but he knew he would have to. Doctor or Cardinal must have trusted him enough to let him into the lands. He could go by their word. He loped back to the dens, hoping that the "others" that Nimbus had traveled with weren't as sketchy. If so, there could be good reason to be on alert.

Doctor listened to the spoken words with his complete attention. He slowly stepped towards the other in a confident, non-threatening way, and tapped Serenity's shoulder in a similar fashion to camaraderie. "Good to know, Serenity. Thank you for telling us." As an afterthought, he commented, "Sounds like Jabbar has quite the interesting group of wolves... I can see them holding darkness, but not the same kind I've heard from stories of Muerta." More towards Nuri now, he said, "Seeing that Robin had come back from there recently to track down the killer, coming back unscathed, and they could hold alliance with Midnight Meadows... it sounds like it's possible to have some sort of alliance."

He didn't know about what Nuri would think or say, but he'd seen many things in his life. This was not out of the realm of possibility. He wouldn't yet go so far as to say they could be trusted, but Jabbar seemed to be one of those unusual packs. An alliance, though, would be taking a chance. Chances are things Doctor jumped headlong into... when he'd been traveling. Now, he'd hold some caution and wait for a decision, although the possibility some sort of peace between opposites sounded attractive. He tried many times to talk his opponents down when he could, but it was rare that an understanding would be reached. This seemed promising if handled properly.

Serenity nodded, willing to aid in any informtation, unfortunantly... it wasn't going to place him in good thoughts he bet. "Jabbar was under war with it's own kind. That darkness. Evander, Damean's brother, killed him, so Akiko is now Alphess of Jabbar until the deceased alphas, Damean and Jaded's son, Damean, can take over the throne. The wolves of Jabbar were settled in Midnight Meadows for a time, having been graced with Damean's treaty there many many moons ago, they came looking for me, having been the son of Evander. He's now dead, thank the lords, but the wolves who 'followed him' and did his bidding are still there. Akiko is weeding out the worst I think. But there were three wolves that resided in that pack before, and stayed for Evander, and now stay, they are... thoughtless creatures..."

Serenity felt like he was rambling, like what he said made no sense. "There will be no threat, as far as I know Jabbar isn't even tied with relations to Muerta since Damean's treaty to Midnight Meadows. Akira has had his pups too, and I don't think they are allowed to even travel to Jabbar... I don't know what allignment Jabbar even is, it's just... there... right now. I'm guessing things will get figured out when Damean Jr. is to take the throne... And for my help there I'll be able to travel back and forth if you ever request, It's nice to know who our allies are and aren't." Serenity looked for Nuri to Doctor waiting for a responce.

While awaiting Nuri's answer, the wolf he'd seen approached. Doctor smiled in greeting, as he hadn't the chance to get to know this wolf yet in the commotion lately. The smile faded slightly when Serenity mentioned a battle in Jabbar. It wasn't because he disliked the Jabbar wolves or disapproved of battle. Glancing at Nuri, he replied, "Well met, Serenity. I'm Doctor, and this is Nuri, alpha of these lands. I don't think there's anything in particular to be done at the moment, unless you want to accompany us and the pups to see how Bright is doing?" He was curious now, "But... would you mind if I asked what the battle in Jabbar was about? A war amongst themselves, or with outsiders? And... would the winners of the fight intend to cause harm here in the future?" He kept his voice lowered during this part so the occupants in the den and the pups wouldn't hear.

This wolf just might be able to completely clear up any unknown details the pack may want to know. After all, the general idea had been accusing Jabbar of murder because of wolf had claimed to be from there. Robin had gone over to check it out. The fact that Serenity was here, though, seemed to prove they hadn't... unless there were two groups in Jabbar that warred. In that case, it'd be entirely true that Jabbar had killed Koda and that Jabbar was innocent of the crime. If Serenity was part of the "good" group in Jabbar, does that mean that the group who sent the assassin still had living members?

Serenity still sat outside the den. He waited to hear about the birth of the females pups, if the wound she had was bad, if the pups were okay. His white head was looking around at all the wolves and he saw the wolf Doctor and walked over. "Excuse me, I don't know if I've given my name. I am Serenity. I came from the battle in Jabbar... I've been here a while and I was wondering if there was any way I could assist the pack with anything, if anyone needs any assistance?" his voice was a soft slumbering tune. It was low but gentle, just as his own name granted with meaning. Tassle waved behind him softly, eager to maybe call this place home. He hadn't know that the alpha of these lands stood right there with them or he would have asked permission to stay...

Jewel

She would follow along watching Cumulus as they would make their way back toward the dens. She would keep a glance over her shoulder toward the young male and noticed when he stopped. She paused and would turn, her feet squishing in the muddied terra and would swivel her ears forward to catch Cumulus' words. A smile came to her face at them and she wondered slightly why he just hadn't let her help from the beginning. Softly her tail swayed and she would nod. Soft squishy padfalls would hit his ears as she drew near again and would give him a sideways glance with her two toned jewels. "Alright then." She said and would stuff her mouth full of goat leg and would begin the trek back to the dens once more.

With the two of them it certainly didn't take too much longer to reach the pack and dens where the goat was needed. Setting it down she gave a loud chuff to announce they had it...and the milk...hopefully they weren't too late for the pups. She licked her pink nose. "Thank you Cumulus..." She would say softly and her eyes would look about the clearing looking for her brother. She worried about Robbie...sigh.

Cumulus' ears folded back with embarrassment at Jewel's words, a sheepish smile crawling on his lips as he held the goat in his mouth. He hefted the goat up, conscious of the tender milksack, trotting several paces behind Jewel. As they trekked over the landscape, the recent storm had made the ground very mucky and slick. At one point, he stopped, placing the goat on the ground to catch his breath. "Okay... Maybe I need a little help here," he admitted, tail wagging. It wasn't something he had wanted to do - he wanted to look strong for her, for some ridiculous reason - but knew he couldn't carry it all on his own. He picked up the neck of the goat, the heaviest portion, so that she could grab one of the legs. In addition, it would stuff his mouth from blurting out anything more embarrassing.

Jewel would look over at Cumulus and would give him a smile as he spoke. “Thank you for your help with Bright. I do hope she gets better.” She would say and then would give a soft chuckle at Cumulus. “Does your nose not work?” she teased. “You could always follow your own scent back.” She would flick her tail playfully and then would give a nod. “Very well if you insist…but if you get tired let me know and I will help carry it…” She would flick her snowy tail and lick her pink nose before blinking her two toned eyes and would trot off in the direction of the dens.

"Sounds like a good idea," Cirrus replied to Cardinal, and followed him down into the valley, searching for a young scent. He turned westward, inhaling the rich scent of the moist earth and the sweet honeydew that bloomed in the rampant meadows. He kept himself alert, in case there was any sign of one of the missing wolves nearby, or in case they stumbled across another wolf that had been in Bright's condition.

Ali watched the Alpha with careful blue eyes. She shook her head. "No, my apologies, Nuri. I should have waited for you to speak about her before assuming that she was gone," she said. "But... Please know that I do understand your pain. I will be here for you if you need someone to talk to." She turned her gaze upon the nestle of whelps at his side. One of them raised her head, looked around, and then went right back to sleep. Ali smiled - they were just about ready to be up and walking.

Her head turned to find Doctor at the mouth of the den. "I think that's a good idea," she agreed with him, standing up. If Doctor said that Bright was well, perhaps her milk would be, too... They wouldn't have to worry about the pups not being able to feed. Ali made her way over to the pregnant fem. It was still uncertain when she would be going into actual labor, despite the few scares they had had while she was here. "How are you feeling?" Ali asked Namaria.

"Of course, Bright," Doctor replied, but quickly continued, "Nuri is back, though, so he might want to spend some time with his pups for a bit. I'll bring them to see you as soon as I can, though. But... stay here and rest." He said the last four words in the strictest voice he'd ever be able to muster in a situation like this... which wasn't very strict. Giving her a reassuring smile, he exited the den.

He headed towards the den Alaina and the pups would be. Nuri was still there. Slowly approaching, he said, "I don't wish to interrupt, but Bright woke up. Is it possible for you, Nuri, to accompany pups with me to see her for a short visit before bringing them back here? They didn't have much time to test their legs with Bright before the storm hit, either, so the exercise might do them well, too." Of course, he had the intent to bring at least Bright's own with him, as he'd have a good argument on the chance this would be vetoed.

Bright didn't take her eyes off of Doctor, scanning his expression for any untruths. She needed to know that her children were safe. She could sense no ill intention from him, and she nodded her head slowly, reclining restfully. Still, she was determined to actually see them for herself. "Please let them come visit," she requested, "I would feel much better just to see their beautiful faces." Then she looked down, sighing sadly. Even if the others were okay and in good care, Ajax was still missing, and she had no idea where he could have gone or if he was even still alive. Anything could have happened to him during that storm. For all she knew he had been swept away by an overflowing stream, or snatched up by some other predator. Tears welled in her eyes for the worry in her heart. Yet, she stifled them and bit her lip, knowing she would remain strong for the three still in her care. Even though two of them were not hers by birth right.. yet she still loved them. Without looking up again, she tried to gather herself, hoping that Doctor would bring the whelps, or have somebody escort them to her.

--------------------

Esarosa perked up from her nap, drawn to the sudden voices that rang in her ears. Suddenly she was faced with a massive, dark-pelted male, his eyes of emerald almost overpowering. She sat up straight as he pressed his nose into she and the others, but when his scent reached her nares, she felt less tense. She had not got to spend much time with her parents before Silent had to leave, but she knew right away that this was her father, and she didn't need to fear him. Instead, she licked his nose before he lay down and continued his conversation with Alaina. Esa stood up and shook out her pelt, identical to that of her father. She could hear his words to Ali but she wasn't quite sure what he meant. She had barely known her mother before being transfered over to Bright, whose scent was almost more familiar than the one who'd birthed her.

She glanced around briefly, seeing her sibling and Haru. Ajax was still missing, and she furrowed her brow. Why had he gone on such a cool adventure and left her behind? She felt cheated, so unaware of the reality of the whole situation.. unaware of the recent casualties and the disappearances.

Nuri entered the den at Alaina's enthusiastic offering. His nares filled with the scent of pups and his heart settled some. Going to each, he pressed his nose to their pelts and inhaled. And looked up to Alaina whom he smiled and greeted with a tilt of his head. Nuri was tired from his journey and wanted nothing more than to lay down with his children and try to still the ache in his chest. "Thank you Ali." He settled down in the den glancing at the herbs and noting the conversation that was going on. Apparently there was a new femmora here about to give birth. His attentions swung to Doctor as he began to speak of some wolves missing. Nuri frowned at the statement alarmed that so many were not to be found. Surely the rain was not that grievous? Then just as quickly he exited the den to go check on things. Well...at the moment Nuri was too scrambled in the latest events to know exactly what to do so for the time being he would stay here and gather his wits. Why would all of those wolves run off together? Especially Robin Junior, Nuri knew that there had been stress on the family but enough to cause the boy to leave?

Nuri's heart went out for his packmate as the concern spilled forth about her son. "It will turn out fine, you will see." He spoke in humble tones, he ebony splayed out in a deceptively lax pose. He was wound up inside but the gifts of those dominant above others is that of appearing strong when others can not be. His attention came back full focus when she asked about Silent's passing. A humorless laugh barked out of his barrel. "My dear girl she had not passed. I have brought her to a place where she can be helped...for the rest of her remaining days however many they may be. This life has cheated my poor mate while she is young and I old yet here I sit..." His words cut off, he was surprised at his own anger that had seeped in. He glanced down a bit embarrassed. "My apologies Ali, I am going to miss my mate very much but it will not affect my duties to this pack."

"Good luck, then, guys," Doctor said, nodding towards the two as they decided to go together to see if they could find anything. That was one more worry out of the way. Just about the same time Cardinal had responded, came a more frantic-sounding voice. He turned to focus on Bright now, using his mass to partially block Bright's line of sight towards Cirrus and Cardinal in hopes of helping her focus and calm down.

Her voice didn't sound too bad, although that might have been due to diving her a little bit of water. He didn't want his voice to be loud to give Bright a headache, so he softly, yet reassuringly said, "Cardinal along with Cirrus, the one who found you, are going to see if they can find Ajax." He didn't mention any of their suspicions, and kept this fact well hidden so Bright wouldn't catch on. One obstacle at a time... "Nuri is back, and he and Alaina are currently with the three pups, each healthy and safe. Trust me that they're fine, because you need to rest a little more. I had them separated from you so they wouldn't stress."

He released a breath and said, "Once you are about to walk short distances without pain, headache, or dizziness, we will be happier to release the pups back into your care, but until then we will let them visit you for short periods of time while you recover. Alaina is taking care of their feeding until we are sure your body has recovered. You took quite a blow to the head. I need to make sure you'll be ok." He hoped she would be fine with these instructions. Other healers would forbid the children to visit, but Doctor never had been strict... unless the matter was life and death. He waited for a response, wondering whether to expect an argument or not.

Cardinal listened to Doctor, he was glad someone else had similar thoughts. The task normally wouldn't be that hard, find a scent, or paw prints leading somewhere, except for the fact that the storm likely cleared everything away. He had doubts about finding a trail leading out of the lands, but considering the number of wolves missing, there was a bit of hope. Auds flicked to Cirrus, and the bruja's offer. He had a better feeling about the brother's then he did when Chimera showed up, the woman had disappeared around the same time as the whelps. "Consider it done, Doctor. And Cirrus, I'd be more than grateful for your help." The granite male replied, moving past the two a bit. "Considering every other wolf was accounted for up here, we'll start by looking down there, and then we'll check the borders." Cardinal spoke to Cirrus, glancing back at the two bruja's.
