| Daenerys did not trust the fem but she also worried for her brother and somewhat for her mother, even if her cruel mother cared for them not. These wolves made her wary and every fiber in her whispered warnings. "Wait here." she said to her packmates though her tone was clear "Be on guard." She didn't fear the old fem beside her. She knew her youth would best the old crone in a battle if it should come to that. "Let us go then." She said calmly and flicked her tail letting Ana lead.
Odd scents muddled the air and it bade her to sneeze to rid herself of it. She refrained however as she watched the wolfess seem to revel in it. They made a wide circle and she tilted her head as Ana bade her to be quiet. She disliked the fem calling her ingenue but tolerated it. She could scent her mother and brother below and she met the she wolf's gaze. "We are here aren't we?" She said firmly and moved up beside her to see the undertakings below. It was for love of her brother she was here. Worry it was some sort of ambush that her power hungry mother would have lead them into if it meant more for her.
No turning back now. What was this betrayal?

| Thanos saw the glow of the runes when the blood had settled and Svad began the ritual. The air around them froze, colder than the frigid mountain gusts. Shudders ran up and down his spine; he never lacked fear and respect during these occasions, and it never got easier to sit in the presence of a merciless, bloodthirsty god. Then, there was the cracking of bones, and Svad's body shifted and rippled until he stood amongst them a younger version of himself, but it was clear from the voice that left his lips and the ethereal gaze that he was not himself. Fenrir was amongst them. Thanos lowered his head, but his ears perked to hear his god's voice as he had many times in the past. As quickly as he could gift them with unending life, he cursed them with an expiration date and terms difficult to fulfill. Still, the rewards would be great, unmatched by anything a normal mortal life could offer. The feeling of power and immortality could not compare to a simple life.
As the god called out his name, he lowered his body, looking up at Svad's form. He motioned to Odin, a young brute to be protected as the massacre began. The young male had been chosen, and his role would be a special one. Then he demanded that the jester be sought out, for he would play a new role in this life. Thanos nodded in understanding - he would ensure that things went smoothly. Then Svad's blood was sacrificed, the body crumpling to the ground - the first sacrifice would set the hourglass in motion. It was up to him now to make things happen now that his brother was gone, and they had to set into action immediately. He felt the weight upon his old, bony shoulders, but the thrill of the mass slaughter that would occur in these lands drove compelled him to act. He whipped around to Akira, fixing his dark gaze with hers. "We mustn't waste any time," he insisted, heading to the cave entrance, "Gather your most vicious and powerful wolves, for you will need their numbers. And make sure you have their obedience, there's not time to be wasted on meaningless quarrels. They need to bring each sacrifice here to spill the blood across the runes, so Fenrir may gather their souls. You can sacrifice your wolves later if they cannot bring you enough souls." He left the cave then, stepping out into the daylight. It seemed as though no time had passed since they'd entered the small cave. As he came out into the open, he sensed the presence of others. Ana, you sly wench, he thought with a smirk, glaring up at the outcrop where the old whore had led a younger fae to. Odin's sister. It must have been easy to lead her here. Now Fenrir would dig his greedy claws into her soul for her trespassing on this sacred, demonic ritual. He would hang onto her until the sacrifice was complete, but he would take her if the wolves could not bring enough to satisfy his bloodlust. Clinging to her soul, he would ensure that she would do her part in gathering the wolves needed to sate his hunger. Thanos grinned, for he knew it made their task easier with each wolf that lent a paw. Without even looking back, Thanos set off down the rocky mountainside. The Queen would take care of her part, and tell her followers what she needed of them. Thanos would set out to explore the lands further, and spread the news of gifts from their god to gain the cooperation of any cruel and selfish wolf out there...

| He wanted to see where this would end. Wolves were peeling away from the main area. He couldn't care less about Winter's... activities. Although with a bru from who knew where he'd been? Well... that was her problem if there were any ramifications. He rolled his eyes and looked over everyone else. And... now one of Akira's whelps was sauntering off with the old fem. Oh, how he wished he was a phantom, able to be unseen and following them. No doubt Akira would go ballistic if she were to find out... he'd go rat on her now, but he was fairly confident he'd kill him if he dared to barge in on their secret meeting. Perhaps later... although the Queen would probably figure this little bit out before he could say anything. Too bad he might not be present to witness her reaction. He audibly scoffed now that the females were gone. What was here to watch? He'd just remain here, for no doubt the Queen would terrorize the whole pack if no one remained to at least let her know what her misbehaving wolves were doing. | |

| The darkness settled in quickly, the cold dampness of the cave returning to chill the bone. The runes muddled by the mixture of blood and dirt, the fallen ancient’s emerald hues closing. The ritual was done, and the demand set. The souls of the innocent, the ones who were not yet tainted by the brutal truth of reality, the children were always the prey. The deities shared this, one for malevolent reasons and the other for pure reason, but they all called upon the young. The sense of lingering energy would’ve been felt, but the Wolf would not show till his follower left. How loyal, wasting no time for grief. They had been brothers in a way, but each knew what was at stake. All was for a greater purpose, and the physical meant little. Once Thanos left, the silence could be cut. It was not broken by either mother or child, but by the fallen skeleton. A muffled grunt, a crack of bone, a blink of emerald. Though he could not raise his crania, the strength he did have allowed him to shift it upright. “Queen Akira, the centuries will not be kind to you.” It came with a cough of blood, and what smirk he could muster. “Everyone is a sacrifice to Fenrir-“ It was clear these would be the final words of Svadilfari. “-be it anyone in your path. Anyone.” The emerald hues had remained on Odin the whole time, and the ancient closed one hue before slowly closing the other. | |

| A nefarious giggle bubbled in Ana's throat. "Yes, we are, young ingenue," she purred with delight. She had to admit, she was excited at the potential chaos that could ensue. What would this whelp think about her brother, receiving preferential treatment? Would she be jealous, angry, upset, or depressed? Would she fly off the handle like her mother's temper suggested? What if they got caught? All sorts of wonderfully terrible things flitted through the old hag's mind, and she stepped aside for the young wolf to see the ritual below. Ana closed her eyes, allowing the chant to fill her, longing to howl with it, but it was not the time or place. Her voice would come when the blood came. She leaned over to croak in Dae's ear. "Do you understand what is happening?" she asked, tone no different than as if she were cooing a pup. "Sacrifice. Sweet, sweet sacrifice of young blood. Whelp's blood, probably not much older than yourself. We feed upon it. Need it. And with it... Well, I don't want to spoil it for you. Why not ask your dear mother?" Silvery-yellow orbs strayed to Thanos, who was the first to leave the cave. She caught his smirk. Of course, he knew she was there. How could she not be? Causing chaos was her specialty, be it among brutes or more... mystic powers. "Go on, then," she said, attention back on Dae. "Go tell mommy what you've seen." And with that, she suddenly barreled into Dae, aiming to send her sprawling down the hillside, exposing them both to Fenrir's wrath. | |

| Akira braced for the deity's answer, her posture carefully submissive. The cavern's chill was seeping into her paws, it was a different chill for sure the Queen had lived amongst the snow most her life and this was not natural. And then he spoke once more, despite herself she felt the hairs along her spine raise at the supernatural quality of his voice, the snap of his neck made her body alert, eyes wide, surely he had not just snapped his own neck? But Akira's ears were keen as ever and she had heard many bones cracking in her life, but still he spoke addressing them. His words so ethereal made her blood quicken, what he asked was the fabric of her existence, spill blood across the land? Spill innocent blood at that. Perhaps she should ask the definition of innocent but no doubt the safest course would be to tear every throat out of every pup she could get her hands on. The tone broke and suddenly he was addressing her son, and Akira felt a spring of anger well within her, certainly not jealously...not of her own spawn. Her kissers pulled back from her incisors as he spoke to Odin but she kept herself in check, she dare not anger Fenrir, she was not so stupid in her arrogance. 100 souls He spoke the requirement and she snarled her affirmation. I shall murder every wolf in every pack if I have to. At his last demands she bowed low, vowing silently that it would be done because before she was able to let slip a word the Fenrir drew his Svad's own talons across his neck and then the wolf was in a heap on the floor, a dusty husk of an ancient wolf. "They shall last as long as they need to..." She whispered softly to the cavern, ignoring her son and the other with her. Eyes were drawn to Thanos and she felt her hackles raise as he so casually ordered her what to do with her pack. She might not be a walking skeleton yet but she had seen enough to know what she must do. The old wolf left the cavern but she lingered and Odin made no move either. Suddenly her son hissed "Mother...Svad..." Akira's eyes flicked back to the corpse only to see his eyes open and addressing her, again she silently snarled at his words but she felt no different at his proclamation. He fell silent, truly departed this time. "Better than a half life child, better than to waste away forgotten." One last look at the corpse and she retreated from the cave, stalking into the forest. She would gather her pack, yes...but for now she must plan. Odin had little to contribute to the exchange except he was unsure of her he felt about the sudden interest in him. He asked for none of this, it was his mother's corrupt mindset that set her on the path for power, no he felt no need for that path. The start of anger was building in him, he had not chosen this path, he would be no ones pawn. He experienced so much strangeness from his 'gift' he wanted no more of this. The things he had seen were too much of a wonder to him, to much of a horror. Even now the scenes were vastly different from what he had seen to what his mother had. His head was spinning but he dare not speak out lest the visions claw from his mouth. Thoughts reeling he registered Thanos speaking and slowly he came back to himself. His mother too caught up in her own vision of glory failed to notice her son's state. The elder hessian left casually, not skipping a beat for his fallen friend....Odin looked to the corpse only to see his essence stirring, his eyes opening. He wanted to snarl but he felt as if this ordeal had taken the fight from him.
The words exchanged, he looked at his mother who didn't bother to look back as she addressed him. She did not wait for his answer as usual and left. Odin looked down on the runes that marked the floor, runes he helped create. Snuffing once he too turned and left the cave. Stepping outside his instincts told him to look uphill, surely that was not his sister....?

| Daenerys lifted her lips in a silent snarl at the hag's closeness. Filthy bitch. She didn't understand all of it but she knew one thing. This was a sacrifice. Blood called to the darkness that held fast in this cave. It sent a chill through her snow colored fur and her ears pinned. She watched her own mother bow to....to...Fenrir? Was it really he? Blood was spilled, the sickening wet sound slopping on the rock floor. Dark energy welling high. She couldn't tear her blue eyes from it.
So focused was she on the heavy dread that filled the room she didn't see the swift movement of the older fem. She snarled as she lost her footing and skittered down the hillside. Luck and skill saved her from tumbling down in a horrid heap. "Bitch!" She snarled and regained her footing but just barely as she ended up half way down from the entrance of the cave. She was now on high alert. Her mother bade her to wait. Punishment was sure to follow. That look in her mother's eyes she had seen before. Lust after power and she knew enough of her dam to know that she would give up anything for it. She only prayed her mother had left the cave before she was pushed.
Her eyes found first and only Odin and she felt relief. Perhaps luck was with her. Her blue eyes would meet his in a silent question of hoping he was okay. She felt a chill run through her. What happened in there was unnatural. He always seemed to pick up on those things before she could even utter a word so she hoped he wouldn't give her away by speaking.
Looking up the hillside she narrowed her eyes at that worthless piece of hide that pushed her before looking back at Odin. What was going on here? And why did she feel such a sense of dread overcoming her like an ill wind touching her very soul? She was uneasy.

| Odin blinked a few times staring blankly at his sister. It was taking him some time to come back to this world. He was vaguely away of Ana at the top of the hill and his sister's angry snarls at her. Shaking his head his eye came back into focus, his other permanently wandering some mysterious province. "Why are you here sister? You are lucky mother is thrice occupied at the moment. I doubt she would even stop to snap at you." Frowning he continued on, not really caring if she answered at all. "Prepare yourself Dae, blood is to come to the pack and we must prepare for war." With that he swept into the forest knowing that she would follow. His sister was ever the curious type and he had little doubt she would be used to Akira's ends. Though he would not begrudge his sister the thrill of battle he did not see how it could possibly suit the interest of the packs for Akira to walk this path. | |
