| Liar smiled at her mother. "well the other wolves who arrived are gone. Unfortunantly Junior is still here. He told dad and I he's supposed to kill me now like he was then so dad got mad I left and ended up in Jabbar. Dad accepted an alliance with Jabbar which means I guess were all kinda tied except Muerta. Damean said that the tie with them was probably broken. He spared my life cause of his grandchildren and or neices and nephews. Were not sure how were related but we are and that's about it. Dad's talking with Junior still. " liar spoke as if this were all funny. Like none of it had an effect on her... | |

Calypso sighed and nodded. At least her beloved was safe though she didn't know if she trusted Junior just yet. He had said they were his kin after all. She flicked her ears forward hearing the news of the packs being tied together now. It felt odd. How could they have ties with the dark packs? She shook her pelt off ridding herself of the uneasy sensation that befell her. She looked at her daughter and her causual words and blinked sapphire eyes. "Well we will just have to see what fate brings us now won't we my darling?" she said softly and looked at her daughter and then glanced back to her den where her pups lay sleeping.

| Liar nodded at her mother's comment. "I'm scared" subject change she knew, but she knew her mother would like this conversation more then speaking about terms with light and dark packs. "To be a mom, what if I do a horrible job..." she sighed and sat down, her belly touched the cool ground and it felt good. "And my pups will be here in winter...what if...well, what if it's too cold, or what if I can't find game to eat during this time?" She felt the panic rise in her voice, her heart sped and the whelps began to stir quite roughly causing her to suck in a deep breath. "Their strong...like Khalon. I fear maybe I wont make it if they do, what if something happens to me during birth. I'd feel so guilty even after I've passed on...you'll help him mom, if something does happen" she was thinking negative... | |

Calypso looked at her daughter and smiled softly. "I was too Liar." she said and nuzzled her daughter. "You won't be a horrible mom because you are thinking about these things." she said gently. "We all will help take care of your pups Liar." she said. "If it is cold maybe you could have them in with your brother and sister and their bigger bodies will help warm your pups.." she said and blinked her blue eyes. "Nothing is going to happen Liar. Do not fret...but if ...and that is a big IF...if it does you know I will help Khalon and your pups." She wagged her tail gently. She worried silently over Liar. Her daughter worried too much and it wasn't healthy especially in her condition. Calypso glanced back to the den flicking an ear to see if the pups had awakened ...they had not. "Stretch out and relax..' she said "You are a worrier just like your mother..' she teased.

Jack's eyes were narrowed as he watched Junior speak. Why now? Why were the midnights descending upon them? Vile creatures who sought to stir up trouble. He felt a growl rising in his chest but he smothered it. Their pack had just settled down and now this trouble was afloat. He watched as his small, but loyal, pack floated away. Probably towards Calypso. His heart went out to her wanting to be near her and their new pups. But his duty was here right now. Looking at Junior he frowned. "What do you know of their plans? Something surely since you just recently switched sides.." There was a bit of a bite on his words. He was agitated and the thought of Junior, his once good friend would move against this pack nettled him sorely. How long would it take for him to leave in peace with his family? Many assumed that the neutral packs like them were pushovers but ah they knew so little...so very little..

| Junior Junior looked at Jack as he spoke. "I know this peace thing with Damean wont last long. I know that my cousin the crazy one that was here Harmi... He wont be kept quite. Dracul will unleash his soldiers and let them pray on every pack. He will pick two of his very strongest and let them rain terror till the peace treaty is broken. Whelps will die... mothers will die... sons and fathers and Kings will die... there will be hell on these lands... The time of peace is now gone..." He looked at Jack crystals showing his distraught "I wish you would have made peace with them there are so many and all skilled killers all bred to kill to lust for only blood. There is about twelve of them if not more. All under the rule of one horrible brute... I know once the war is to start there is going to be a uprising within there clan. A fea is to take control and she is worse then her father. Peace will not come anytime soon... be prepared for whatever... even losing your young because I tell you know that is what Harmi will be back for." he watched him waiting for the reactions...

| -J.a.c.k S.p.a.r.r.o.w - Jack's steady orbs were trained on Junior. He was no fool, he was a realist and he understood the gravity of the situation. He never really depended on Damean's alliance anyways. His pups were not going to die no matter what Junior thought. "Thank you Junior. I need to go speak to my mate." Jack nodded to the brute and made a steady trot where his pack had disappeared. Spying Red he barked to get his attention and stepping up to him he whispered a few things in his auds and nodded gravely to him. Then he turned and followed the scent of his mate. Looking at Liar he cocked his head inquiringly, wonder where his relationship stood with his daughter. He hoped that she did not believe what Junior had said. "Calypso we need to speak...in private..." He shot a furtive glance at Liar then back to Calypso. | |

| Liar smiled as her mom claimed her under the persona of herself. She smirked and did as she said, laying down and relaxing. "You know, it's not half bad." she smiled and took a deep breath, only to have it caught when her father's voice fluttered in her ears about speaking alone to Calypso. She lifted herself up, let out the breath, and pushed herself on her feet. "have fun" she said softly and nudged her dad on the neck. He looked stressed. "I'm going to go lay down. I don't feel so good" she gave a fake smile and began to walk away. She knew exactly where she wanted to go. It was the very same den that Khalon and her had spent the winter in so long ago. She walked in and circled. It smelled like him and she inhaled deeply. Khalon had gone off to do something, hunt, run the boarder, do his job. She felt her belly tighten and she held her breath. No. she needed to breath and so she did. This was going to be fun, but her worry was gone, and she just wanted to get this over with, whatever this was. | |

Calypso's nose twitched smelling her mate and her dark thorns cupped forward. Her tail wagged and she sighed relieved. She nodded to his request, now worried and glanced at her daughter and nodded again. "Take care Liar." she said and then turned back to Jack. "What is wrong my love?" she asked.

| "Shit. Shit shit SHIT." Khal cursed as he stumbled once again, almost falling this time. Stopping on shaking legs, he turned his head. The wound on his side was still bleeding, crimson drops falling with a scary steadiness to the ground. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath, trying to wake up his foggy mind. Damn that bitch! He had been fine until she had showed up. What a way for his first Guardian's scrap to turn out. The thought caused him to smile despite the pain, heartening him enough to take another few steps.
"Hey!"
Khal stopped dead in his tracks, incredulous. There was no way.. she had followed him?! He wasn't far into Pearl territory, but still... shit! "Hey! Wait up, love! What were you thinking, leaving? And right when we were having so much fun." As the last word was spoken, Khal felt the breath leave his lungs as a dark fem hit his side, knocking him off his paws. "Now, I'm curious. How many times do I have to knock you over for you to realize you won't win!" She grinned, ivory teeth glinting evilly in the light.
"Mel, give it a rest, will you? Actually, I don't know why I'm bothering. You haven't changed a bit."
"And neither have you, Khal! Maybe you should have stuck around with us a while longer, you're still as weak as a whelp!" She lowered her head, face close to his. "But you didn't. You left, which makes you no better than a traitor. And you were with us long enough to know what happens to traitors, weren't you?" Khal glared back, a snarl beginning to rise in his throat.
"Why don't you just kill me and get it over with, Mel?"
"Oh, brave words! But what would your family think? Pretty little Liar... do tell, how is she? Still running off on her own frequently?" A malicious gleam lit her gaze. "Hmm, perhaps I shall have to drop by at a later time."
With a gutteral growl Khal forced energy through his limbs, launching himself at Melusina. Catching her off guard, he snapped at her leg, tearing a gash. Nothing too harmful, but enough to make her take a step back. His legs were shaking so badly he feared he would collapse, but somehow, he stayed upright.
She smiled. "Didn't like that, did you, knight? Well well, I suppose I should be getting back anyway. I'm not quite ready to bring this storm to bear, but do beware, brother. You will see me again." She winked. "Send my regards, will you?" With that she was gone, leaving him standing alone. For a moment he stayed as he was, but only a moment. Then it suddenly felt as though he was standing on nothing... his legs crumpled beneath him, head swirling. Mel's tackle had opened his side even more, the fire coursing through it, tearing his resolve. I'm not going to die here, he thought savagely. Digging his claws into the soil, he rose slowly, the world spinning, darkening, then righting once more, if a bit tremblingly.
Then he caught her scent... faint, but closer than the rest. Liar. Hope made his steps quicker, but still, he was still a ways off when his legs once again threatened. He wasn't going to make it. He could only force himself so far before his body betrayed the mind. As darkness took over, he may have called out, he may not. His mind wasn't really registering much at the present.
OOC: bringing him back ^^ had to explain why he was gone so long, so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. Don't worry, Mel will be back! just wanna see how time management goes for the moment, lol

| He watched Jack approach, and listened to the alpha's words, his own eyes unreadable. Seeing him nod, Red watched his departure, heading away, he guessed to Calypso. Looking in the direction Jack had come from, he debated for a moment, then started to walk. Approaching Junior, he asked, "You want some company?" He still wasn't entirely sure about Jack's ideas about Junior being here, but, he didn't know the situation as well, and would treat him with the same attitude he would with others in the pack unless something happens that would cause him to act differently. He sensed the need for Jack to see his mate alone, so he stayed out of sight, knowing his nose would guide him anyways. Yana looked at Red, who was headed towards Junior, then back around. There was something occuring, bigger than the pack, and he didn't like not knowing what was happening, but he'd keep a low profile for now, to see if he'd be able to collect some information. Walking around, he decided it might be a good idea for him to do some scouting while the rest... attended to any business they had. He was restless, and wasn't keen on any wolves sneaking around.

| The dark form of Zaiaku slipped out of Jabbar’s lands, after inquiring on his mission. He had noted all the words shared, from Evander to the older wolf, and then to himself. Kill. A simple order, and Zai was pleased he was given freedom to kill whom ever he wished. That was a bonus, though he knew that Evander wanted some wench dealt with. Zaiaku wasn’t familiar with the name he had been given, but then again he was to inform the pack about what was going to happen. The joker knew his speech would be best if it came after the woman’s death, and that of her whelps. With blood on his mind, Zaiaku stepped into the lands of the Pearl. Mitts continued to bring him past the markers, he wasn’t going to have every wolf know he was there. The less aware they were of his presence on their land, the better. Zaiaku preferred being sneaky, and he knew if he was confronted he would be prepared for anything. A fight, or his slight of words. He wasn’t sure about the wolves, though he knew their hearts lay in dark neutrality. It couldn’t be hard to convince them that the only way was darkness, that neutrality was a farce, an excuse. Zai’s thoughts wandered elsewhere, to that of the reappearance of a certain woman. As he naturally should, his mind wandered over her frame. A playful smirk danced across his maw, and he wondered what her decision had been. He had refused to speak a word with her, having instead chosen to leave the moment Evander had. Whether she went with the other male, or followed him, Zai didn’t care. Perhaps, if he had a moment to speak with her, and she charm her way in again, as he expect she would, then maybe his ignorance would change. But his mission was clear, and it meant he wouldn’t have to suffer for a little while longer. Just like any other, the woman had him vexed, but it wasn’t going to impair his movements. Mitts tred softly on the terra, and he gripped it briefly, pushing through the foliage and scenting another. Oceans gazed through the green, and into an area with a wolf. Laying, and from his judgment, unconscious. Zaiaku blinked, and smirked, perhaps his first victim. It seemed to easy, almost boring, to kill a wolf in it’s sleep. It was to merciful, and the dark male smirked again. The dark male smirked and moved closer, lightly tapping the unconscious male. He cocked his head, and peered down at the bruja, curious as to what had caused the blackout. Zaiaku growled deeply, hoping to wake the male. What fun he would have! [Fyi, talking about Khal xD if it wasn't obvious] | |

| Harmawganis Harmi made it to the Pearl just in time. The scents of the land made him quiver at the weakness. This place had become to light to silent to merciful. He moved to Zai and a uncontentious male. "Evander sent me to help you... Seems he was pleased with my work with Damean." The mahogany marked brute looked at the other bruja. He moved a little bit forward sniffing the ground. The smell of the fea was there. He followed it moving threw the trees looking back at Zai "Leave the brute that's the father of the whelps... come" He said coldly nose moving back to the ground as he followed her tacks....

| Jack looked painfully at his mate. And then with utmost care lay beside her taking a moment to nuzzle his whelps. Then ever so softly he spoke softly to Calypso. No one must know what he told her then for it was for their very lives that he spoke for. Licking his mate on the face he watched her solemnly praying she would not fight him on this matter. He looked at his children and a throat was thick with emotion. He could not stand to lose his newfound family. Damn the Midnight for bringing their sorry hides back to these lands.... | |

| Liar felt her sides tighten and she grumbled in pain. "Khalon..." she said in a sharp cry. Then it was there, that familiar scent, the one from her mother. She looked back in suprise as one squirming creature moved behind her, she quickly picked it up and licked whatever was on it off and pushed it to her belly. Then there was another, another, and another. Four pups. She didn't know the sex, she wanted Khalon here for that. She smiled, as her sides tightened one last time and she pushed, nothing came though and soon she relaxed. She felt the pups feed, then stop, and they curled in balls to sleep. Maybe it was because she was young and new to this but danger spoke and she stood up stepping from the den. She felt weak, and before she knew it her nose had lead her just a short ways from her den. Had she not been alone she would have stayed inside, let someone else try to defend her young, but she was alone, and wanted to check her nose before she went back. He was here, that brute, the scary one. She felt her hair stand on end, the hair covered in her own body fluids and she growled. "Get away" she said in a whisper. She wanted that adrenaline she knew to come back, but it wasn't here, she couldn't feel it, she was so tired...had she been more alert she would have noticed another wolf but her eyes were just trained on Harmi. Ooc:|| I dunno when Shadowed will post, but Zai is to leave one pup alive. Sense, you may beat up Liar just a little if you want, it's okay with me. She'll just crawl back in a whole when this is over with her dead pups and one live one. Haha! MUWAHHAA. Good stuff. | |

| Harmawganis All that could be seen was his neon red yes from the shadows of the trees. He looked at Zai "Leave a female... fully intact please I have plans for her future" He stepped out of she shadows massive form easily towering over Lairs...."Hmmmm what to do with you" he pushed forward swiping a paw in Lair's direction "Fun this will be... told you I would be back for you did I not" His soft cold lyrics ringing in his own auds. He let his neon crystals turn there icy blue. He snarled again attacking the fea. He over powered her easily pinning her quickly. He snarled shaking the fea from side to side his fur stood on end. If Zai where to kill the whelps now was the time. He sank his fangs into the feas side shaking his head again being sure only to cause pain not full on injury. His job was to remind the fea of who he was not to kill her. He growled again waiting for Zai's bark to know the job was done.

| Oceans swept over the male beneath his paw, his gaze still full of curiosity. A dark smirk crossed his maw, and he looked around, snuffing a unconscious life force wasn’t fun, but it might get his blood lust going. He had been given free range to kill, and Zai smirked at the thought, naturally, he could attempt to kill them all. Of course, he wasn’t stupid to think that he could do such a thing by himself. No, a few lives here and there, a possible speech made, and then he would return. Zaiaku shifted his gaze towards the foliage, scenting another, and spotting the bruja emerging from the foliage. Changed plans, it seemed Evander wasn’t to sure of him. Zaiaku smirked, he didn’t care, if this brute kept others out of his way, then Zai might be able to do some real damage. The male’s lyrics flowed into Zai’s auds, and he blinked at the hessian. He had been the one to finish the dark king off? Well, perhaps respect was due. Zaiaku smirked to himself, and nodded at the bruja’s following words. Zaiaku followed the male further into the land, and new scents made his nares flare. Oceans glanced around before spotting a fae, who’s attention was on Harmi. Zaiaku heard the order, and realized what he was being told to do. The scent of birth caught him, and his ocean gaze swept over Liar, the fae he guessed he had been previously ordered to kill. Now, it would be her whelps, all but one? More plans, no matter, Zaiaku smirked darkly and slipped past the two. The dark hessian slipped into the den, and shook his maw slightly at the stench. Ocean pierced the darkness, and he spotted his targets. Sniffing each one in turn, he pushed one off to the side, looking her over. Zaiaku’s hues looked back at the others, and he brought his jaw down. Snapping necks was all he heard for a while, before he brought his jaw down again, this time gently, to pick the surviving whelp up. Zaiaku slipped out of the den, looked the two over, and moved swiftly to the green. He dropped the pup to the ground, and gave a sharp bark. The deed was done, now he was curious what Evander wanted with one whelp. | |

| Liar felt him upon her and she yelped a couple times. It was the sound of a thud that caught her attention and she quickly looked over towards a bru who's maw was covered in blood, her blood... "WHat have you done!!?!?!" she screamed and pushed, pushing herself up and snapping at the big brute who pushed her down, cutting her up a little. "HELP!?! HELP!?E PUP KILLERS!?!" She screamed and screamed blind to anything put her pup that was now at the males feet. She pushed away from Harmi and pushed herself harder over to her pup. She picked it up and ran into the darkness of the den. She nosed her other pups and her mind didn't place what was done. She coaxed the only live one to lay with it's siblings and pulled them all closer to her, it was when only one moved that she jumped up and backed from the den. "KHALON!!! JACK! SOMEONE!!! ANYONE!!!" she yelled at anything that was near, she could hear one pups cry, only one, out of four. She turned towards the two brutes and growled, then snarled. "You killed my babies!!!" My babies!!!" she ran forward, hair on her back stood on end and she tried, as tired as she was, to attack one of them. | |

| WAKE UP!
Something in his mind screamed, and though he didn't know the reason, suddenly, forcefully, he had opened his eyes. Something.. something was wrong. As consciousness flowed slowly into his beaten form, he felt the pain, and wished he hadn't woken. This thought was erased a second later, however, as a scream split the sky open, especially painful to the auds of this bru.
"LIAR!" Pushing himself to his paws, ignoring any faintness, he charged in the direction of the call. If something had happened.... a fury he had not known flew through his veins, both at his own weakness and at whatever had caused this reaction to her. He could blame Melusina that he wasn't there right now to protect her, but the fem hadn't forced him to give up, to lie down and give in.
Bursting in on the scene, unmindful of the fact that his side had, once again, opened up with the fury of his run, he took in Liar's anguished cries, coming from inside of the den, then her appearance. And two brus, standing to the side, one with blood on his muzzle. He scented it in a heartbeat... Liar's blood had been spilled, along with others that, while unknown, he would have known above any other memory.
"No... no..... NO!" The last was more a roar than a bark, and in an instant, he was on them, running past Liar. He went for the bloodied one first, the one who had done this, heading straight for the throat. It was mindless and foolish, this attack, but he would tear this monster apart, even if it was the last thing he did.

| Harmawganis Mahogany marked brute smirking as the fea began to yell. He could feel her screams fuel his twisted mind "A job well done Zai... We must leave a bigger mark... To bad the orders have changed and we must leave the fea alive" He moved to the side a bit as blood dripped from his maw "Tisk tisk tisk..."Then as if it where in slow motion the father of the whelps came out of no where. Harmi moved in front of him taking the power of his hit. It moved him a few feet back he twisted his form so the teeth of the brute missed him. He snarled barking at Zai "Kill any other who comes" This was what he needed to make his mark. To mingle the father of the sad dead whelps. He moved quickly spotting the wound of the male. He aimed for it maw open wide as the sound of the fea screaming was still there.

Bloodeye arrived only as most of the job was finished, though it was clear that the one dubbed Liar was still alive and thriving. She scented the air quickly to determine the amount of bloodshed and who was alive and who was dead. One feeble cry came from the den, indicating the life of one whelp. Just as Evander had wanted. Then the foolish mother of the whelps rushed the two full-grown wolves like she would do them harm. Even as her mate arrived on the scene Bloodeye knew it was futile. The Midnight wolves were powerful and savage, and Zai was certainly no pushover. Bloodeye lunged at Liar, though her approach was something more gentle. As a mother, her heart went out the femme for her lost children, but this was business, and she could not let her emotions rule her right now. She just needed to make sure things went according to plan, whatever that plan might be.
"Just go back to your child," she demanded firmly, "It'll do you no good to get caught up in a fight like this. You don't stand a chance." She narrowed her eyes and wrinkled her nose, baring her front teeth and moving forward. There was no time for protest. Before she could see the lady off, she turned to see Khalon lunging for the Midnight brute. She sighed, rolling her eyes. It was hopeless. What did the young brute hope to accomplish? More pain on his family by losing his life? She cared not what the other brute did, for he was still a part of Muerta. But she and Zai needed to get things settled the way Evander wished it, for whatever reason. She didn't care, she just wanted to get her part done, and moved closer to the handsome brute, speaking quietly to him. "Zai, let her nurse that whelp, it's what Evander asked, don't know why" she whispered, motioning for the she-pup to be handed over, "You'd better clean up before you are seen here and identified. He can hold his own.."
She then turned and looked back to the female. "Do your job, tend to your whelp," she said, "You won't last two seconds against these rogues, so just back down now." Now all she could do was allow these wolves to figure themselves out and find their places. The fight between Khalon and Harmi was their own; if the young one valued his life and the future with his mate, then he'd best stand down and retreat with her and the pup. Bloodeye whipped around and marched away from the scene, knowing she would not be pursued, for either Harmi or Zai would step in to watch her back if that was the case. She had been asked to speak with Jack, to tell of the situation within Jabbar. She let her nose guide her to the area that seemed most commonly swarmed by wolves, and the scent of milk was heavy here too. More whelps? Realizing she had no idea who Jack was, she went to the nearest pair of wolves she saw; one of them was yet another Midnight, and Bloodeye wondered briefly if he was involved with Harmi.
She dipped her head as she approached the two, showing no signs of having seen what had been happening back with Harmi, Zai and the pups. "Greetings, I am Bloodeye. Is Jack nearby?" she questioned calmly, "The new alpha of Jabbar has sent me as a messenger to speak with him if I may." She tried to be as prompt and polite as possible, though she did not often make a good first impression. She hoped this would be an exception, but she was prepared for the usual looks of displeasure she received when meeting new wolves, and waited patiently for an answer.

| Her savior. Khalon came out of the brush and took in the scene quickly. She growled as a female came up and she stated what Liar needed to do. Nurse the whelp, nurse her only child left... what was this wench talking about, one left...hadn't they been nice enough to leave atleast two? Her heart broke as her mind took in what she hadn't noticed in the den right away, her pups were dead. Her head dropped knowing the female was right. She crawled in the den, uttering a small thank you to the fem and slightly to herself she hoped, that atleast she had one... one... only one. She crawled as far back into the den as she could and pulled her remaining pup to her, the whelp cried and cried till the safety smell of it's mother was all around it and the feeding began again. She felt hot tears leave her eyes as they strained on the lumps of what were once lives moments ago. She didn't want Khalon to fight, the female may be a wench but she was right... She was right. Khalon...she wanted him in here, she didn't want to grieve alone right now, she couldn't handle it, not alone. She wanted to be mad at him, but she couldn't she was only mad at herself... she had left them alone. The sudden rush of bile in her throat made her choke and she threw up a little in the den. "Oh..." she could smell it and it made her want to vomit again. She reached down and pulled the pup off her... what had they left her... she checked with her nose and fresh tears spilled from her eyes. A girl...her little girl, and what would her name become? She'd have to talk to Khalon about that...please let him live too... She felt a rush of tears with that horrid thought and quickly stood up and picked up the pup who began to cry out again. She wanted to move dens, and she knew the brus were still out there, but at this point, if they killed her...she couldn't care. She stepped from the den, her eyes held only a small life and she watched Khalon and Harmi for a moment before stepping away. Khalon, just please follow...please... she wished in her head, she wished from herself, pushing that very thought from her mind. She wanted to find Jack, and find Calypso but her perfect den, the one her and Khalon had shared so long ago was now a death bed for little life. She wanted a new one, she needed a new one. She stepped along the ground quickly, away from the scene and stepped up to a tree. Why she was picking this place she didn't know but it was where Sephiroth had met her once to talk. She walked into the entrance of the den and laid herself down, the pup began to nurse again and her head dropped down to the floor roughly. She sighed... Khalon...just come... was her last thought before her mind went blank and she just watched the entrance with no look of anything but death itself... | |

A whine left her lips hearing Jack's words and she shook her head but she knew why he asked it. She looked at the ground and nodded and then leaned over and kissed his maw softly and rolled her head in his coat. "I love you." she said softly, her voice thick with emotion, and pushed her obsidian bodice to her feet. She needed to find Yana and fast. She had an uneasy feeling and she looked at her mate again wishing it didn't have to be like this. She wouldn't leave her pups though and she shifted. A whine escaped her lips again and she wondered if she should give a soft howl to call Yana to her. She looked at Jack and stepped closer again caressing him gently. "You will come for us." she said to him her voice thick with love. It wasn't a question it was a command. She couldn't bare the thought of the alternative.

| Zaiaku stood idle as hell broke lose, he knew what a wench looked like when one of her pups was in danger. The dark bruja didn’t expect any different from Liar, he saw the spark ignite when she realized who’s blood dyed his maw. Zai smirked, and bowed lowly, as if to mock her. Another presence entered the area, and Zaiaku recognized it as the unconscious bruja he had been told to leave be. The father, while still fueled by anger, wasn’t as deadly as a mother defending her whelps. Zaiaku tensed only slightly, prepared to fight off the male as he charged. Then again, he was saved from having to fight. The large midnight male intervened, and Zai relaxed a bit. Then even more of an audience, this one was familiar in many ways. Oceans swept over Liar first, the anger still burning inside the woman. Then, ocean lanterns moved to the white fae that came up. The dark male easily fell into an even more silent mood, if at all possible for the dark hessian. Zaiaku kept to himself, but now that Bloodeye returned, he knew where his words would be spent. Vexed by her, was the only way he could describe it. Zaiaku had no inclination about love, but Bloodeye was capable of making him feel different then himself. Zaiaku smirked at his light weakness for the woman, for he knew it could be his end. Oceans sparkled as she spoke to Liar, warning the wench of her chances. Then, Zaiaku felt her frame move closer, and her lyrics pour into his ears. A dark smirk creased his lips, and his gaze averted to her own, nodding lightly before watching her leave. Oceans moved over the white frame, and then averted to Liar. Noting her realization of Bloodeye’s words, good, he wouldn’t have to worry about a fight. Which then made him turn to Harmi and Khalon, he watched briefly before glancing at Liar slipping away. Zaiaku moved slowly over to the two bruja’s, hoping the father would note he was outnumbered. “Calm your anger, and realize your chance. If you value your life and the chance to see your daughter grow up, then return to your woman.” Zaiaku spoke lightly, oceans moving over Khalon. The dark hessian left, knowing well that the Midnight could deal with the father on his own, two didn’t matter considering one equaled two. The dark bruja heeded Bloodeye’s words, and searched for a stream or pond. The scent of blood over powered most other scents, but picking up the sound of running water wasn’t impaired. Zaiaku slipped past the foliage and dipped his maw into the cool stream, watching it become a darker shade. He shook himself off and gazed around, peering down the stream to where it bended. Mitts turned and swiftly brought him back to Liar’s den, wondering if the father had heeded his lyrics. | |

| Khal was furious, angry, and suddenly willing to die for revenge. For a moment. As he dodged the Midnight wolf's lunge at his side, he almost stumbled again, and the realization that he was wearing out again flashed through his mind. He would die here if he continued, that was clear. He may have taken the bru, may, on a good day, for he had the training. But right now, energy was what he needed. He paused mid-retaliation as Zaiku and Deadly's words hit his auds.
Frustrated, pained, angry, confused, he growled, lowering his head and glaring at the bru who had taken everything from him.
Not everything.
His mind remembered Liar, and the one remaining whelp that they had left. She needed him. She had needed him before, and he wasn't here. The least he could do was try to make it up to her, some way, somehow. It would never be enough, he knew that. He would never lose this day, the darkness of not being there to protect the ones he loved... the guilt. But at least he could stand by her side now, and never leave. Never.
Looking at Harmi, Khal snarled, the sound murderous. "I leave you now, but beware brute. I know your scent, and if I must wait a lifetime, I swear, I will taste your blood again, and my jaws will be the last sensation you will feel in this life."
With that he whirled around and ran, the shame of leaving tempered by that which he ran to. As he reached the entrance of the new den... thank god, he couldn't look at them right now, not yet.... he slowed his steps. Carefully he stepped inside, slowly and gingerly. Just inside he stopped, looking at Liar, not sure if he should approach or not. So much pain... seeing her like this, it killed him, and he could have stopped it.......
"Liar, I'm..... I'm so sorry....." His gaze was shocked and empty, and suddenly he couldn't look at her. He didn't deserve to call himself a mate, or a father.

| Liar looked up as footfalls echoed in the den. They were coming back to kill her. Or had that bru said she should be alive, and one pup... Why. The entrance turned black and she closed her eyes tightly. Lyrics fell on her and she lifted her head. She would have wagged her tail but her body moved in a swift motion stepping over the pup who began to cry then settle again instantly, as if the thing knew she needed this moment. "Khalon!" she pushed herself into him as he turned away and she felt guilt. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left the den. I could have protected them" they were both feeling guilty, and it was only them, no one even knew what happened yet just the three that were in the same den and the monsters who started it... "Did he do this?" She pressed on his neck, the side where on his it bled. "You need a healer... I need to get some things for you... Will you stay with her? She needs her father and I need some air... talk to her...she'll love you. Khalon... thank you...for coming back" she smiled and licked his cheek with as much love as she could muster out of herself towards him. "I'll be right back... what I need is just right around this corner. I promise I wont go far" her mother instincts were kicking in, the love for her mate, the love for her child...not children, but child... She sighed and stepped away from him out of the den. She walked only a couple feet, he could still see her if he wanted to... she thought it was farther but it wasn't... | |

| He had thought she would turn from him in disgust, hate him for not being there. Instead, she came right to him and apologized. Apologized! Like it was in any way her fault. He knew at that instant that she was too good for him, and the fact that she had chosen him, over any other bru, caused warmth to fill the previous emptiness in his amber orbs.
"No, not him... another." The fight with Mel seemed years away, but he suddenly felt a flash of anger towards her as well. Eventually, she would show her face again, and this time, she wouldn't be so lucky. It seemed a day of reckonings.
As she mentioned going outside, he felt a sudden rush of terror for her. "Liar..." but she was gone. Will you stay with her? She'll love you. And she would. He looked at the small shape in the back of the den and softly padded over to her. His daughter. His eyes widened with wonder as he looked on her little features for the first time, and any anger he felt disappeared. He wouldn't taint her with such things. So tiny, innocent... lying down, he gently touched her with his nose, and felt her move closer to his warmth. So this is what it was like. Instantly, he understood Jack. The protectiveness against any, even those of his pack. He knew in a moment that if any approached, he would be wary... so wary. Any but Liar.
"Hello, little one." He spoke softly, as though not wanting to wake her, despite the fact she was probably still deaf to the world. "Don't worry, dad's here. And I'll never leave you alone again. You or mom." He couldn't stop staring at her, eyes on her, auds on Liar, who was only a little way away.
