| He felt his body being moved by someone stronger than Jewel, unless she was under the influence of adrenaline, too. Slowly turning his head minimally, he noticed the familiar pelt of Nuri, who had shoved him back to the safety of the trees, elk traveling around them. Now they'd have to wait until they cleared off.
It took him a few seconds to respond, "One, maybe two broken legs. Maybe sprained not broken. One for sure. Daughter with Cade. Card... Okura... Not sure... others. High dens?" Doctor quieted to catch his breath before asking, "Jewel? Couldn't be gentle." He was worried about her, and hoped she was just stunned. He'd be a hypocritical healer if he struggled to get up without staying still for at least until the elk were gone. His head was still spinning from his antics- perhaps he hit his he on the ground, too? He was still trying to self-access himself. | |

| The heavy hooves tossed up the soft terra, a cloud of dirt and dust covered the very cause, and the granite bruja shook his crania to rid himself of the flying debris. Amber hues followed Ali's words, spotting the dark bruja and hoping that the whelp beneath him was safe. The hessian was brave to dash into the fray after her, that was a show of courage and honor, enough that if any disputed Cade's stay Cardinal would stand by the bruja. It was admirable and the granite male held respect for the other, but while their fears would subside soon, the after math damage was what concerned Cardinal. The thundering sound of the large movement was dulling, the end he had witnessed was coming up. If they had been the hunters of this herd, now would be the time to form up. Single out a lagging elk, and take it down with precision. As it was, there would be no hunting, only head counting and wound tending. The herd was more scattered, small clusters continued through but the large flow had subsided. It was a reassurance, until his auds flicked to Ali once more. Cobalt. Had he not been following him? Cardinal's gaze shifted away, to the direction he had come from, but no form of the younger bruja was present. It was a shot to his adrenaline, and his heart, he would not forgive himself if the male had been caught up in the stampede. "I'll go find him, the last of the elk should run through shortly, let's hope those two are alright." Cardinal's voice was grave, if only as a reflection of how he felt. With those lyrics, the granite hessian was off again. His mitts carried him past the tree line and into the open plain again, amber hues scanned thoroughly for a familiar sight. "Cobalt?" He barked loudly, which caused some nearby elk to skirt a little further.

| Nuri had taken the time to properly store the left overs of the recent kill and he felt a little winded but the exercise felt good on his muscles. He noticed that he had seen none of the pack and realized that it was eerily quiet. He stood listening to the sounds of the forest and a there was a creeping feeling of wrong that began to settle on his spine. Pursing his lip he shook his coat out and took a deep breath and trotted into the forest. As he progressed through the dappled shadows of the trees the quiet was slowing turning into a cacophony of noise. Birds trilled in alarm and he could feel the tension in the land. Then came the deepest noise of them all, at this point his pace had quickened and he still had yet to see anyone else, there was a deep rolling of that sounded like thunder. A quick check of the skies ruled out any actual thunder which further alarmed him. His pace was near a run now, the birds streamed over his head in the opposite direction.
The thundering noise was close now and as he crested a hill his eyes beheld a herd of elk stampeding through the open plains. Clouds of dust drifted to obscure his view and he blinked against the debris. Ears flattened against his skull as his heart rate began to beat rapidly. All he could think of was the pups, especially Elysia who he had just sent out with that other pup not to long ago. He very much doubted that the rest of the pack was unaware. Sliding down the slope lose rocks cascaded into the rut that the Elk were running in. He ran adjacent to the herd eyes sweeping the area looking for signs of anyone. He knew that the most likely the rest of the pack would go to the high dens. Just then in the next bend he saw Doctor's body racing through the trees running towards the Elk. The hoof beats filled his ears overwhelming his hearing, emerald eyes finally saw what Doctor was racing for, there right next to the tree line was Jewel, Ali and Robin's daughter. The young fem was racing ahead of the herd and his heart stopped as they gained on her but that was when Doctor's body collided with her.
They went down in a tumble and Nuri lost sight of them, his heart racing his pumped his legs to go faster, his ebon form streaking through the trees, edging close to the stampede. He saw Doctor on the ground looking injured, Jewel presumably within the trees. Without delay in broke from the trees and began snarling and barking, surely the smell of wolf had enraged the herd more and hopefully deter them coming closer. The Elk twisted away from him and he actually collided with the side of one, the two bodies bouncing away from each other. But he kept his feet and his paws were hitting the ground with brute force and as he reached Doctor he moved hard and fast. Sliding down next to the bru he pushed his body with all his weight while also pushing up to get him back on his feet. All in the same motion just in case something was broken he forcefully, but not unkindly, clamped on the scruff of his neck and garnering his strength pushed, pulled and dragged the hessian into the trees a goodly amount of feet away from the stampede. His body shook with the stress of physical feat all the while being put on senses overload and being pelted by the debris of the herd. His shoulder hurt from the impact with the Elk but he was fortunate enough to escape any serious injury.
Panting hard he looked at Jewel and Doctor, he was standing every hair on end in high alert. The rest of the pack was running through his mind, where were they? Were the pups safe? What caused this stampede? Still panting he looked at Doctor and Jewel "The pack?...How bad...are you injured?" He was winded but his physical discomfort would not stop him. | |

| He didn't acknowledge Cardinal's response, but took note of it. He called Jewel's name as loud as he could while running. It was crazy to run in the same direction the elk were, but it was the safest in some ways. He'd be able to see her following the front of the herd from a distance.
Doctor saw a figure running just ahead of the herd. He pulled on his reserves and kept moving, ignoring the elk herd which startled, but didn't stop at his suddenly running right alongside them. He couldn't run at the same speed forever, but the same was true for the elk. In such a herd, he'd be bound to run faster than at least most of them. All of them if he pushed himself. If Jewel kept running, there'd be no way for her to outrun them unless she found somewhere to...
With the last of his energy, he surged forward, eyes flickering in an attempt to calculate his movements. There was a cluster of sturdy trees relatively close to one another. From what he saw, the elk only destroyed and trampled over small plants, nothing that was thick and taller than themselves. As long as he got Jewel out of the way, seeing as it didn't seem like she currently had any ideas how to get out of this.
He none-too-gently collided with Jewel from an angle, paws scrambling to correct their path along the way, and instantly pushed her body down as his tumbled over hers, legs slamming into the ground to use his body as a bumper to prevent Jewel from skidding past the protection of the trees. He yelped as he heard something snap, and he rolled over, trying not to hit Jewel in the process. He cracked one eye open from when they had closed when he rolled back. She might have been scratched up from the sudden push and impact, but she was ok... right? Better a few scratches than a broken bone.
He could see the elk running around the trees, avoiding collisions with the wood, but he quickly closed the eye he'd opened. He might have gotten Jewel protected, but in doing so, had left himself more vulnerable. He guessed an elk hoof happened to his left foreleg. It was a sharp pain, and hadn't heard or felt pieces moving as he rolled, and guessed it clipped him while pushing off into another running step forward. Otherwise, his bone would be in many little pieces. One of his hind paws was throbbing, but that felt more like a sprain from his braced landing. With the adrenaline, though, it could also be broken, and he didn't have the energy to check, let alone move. "Stay behind the trees," he muttered, unsure if Jewel would hear him and hoping she was fine. | |

| Bright could sense some tension between Serenity and the other male that had arrived to drop off her son. However, she was much too ecstatic about her son's return to focus on what else was going on. She nodded to Serenity when they said pleasantries could be made later. Clearly, he wanted to stay all business, especially with this other male around. Now, she just wanted to get the children to safety, and couldn't care less about any outer conflicts. She just followed Serenity's lead, glancing over her shoulder continuously to make sure the others were following her as well. Her mind floated over the possibilites that were going on with Cade and Ali, and hoped that the pair had found both Elysia and Jewel. Taking a deep breath, she hoped that everyone was okay, and continued on. Esarosa
Esa didn't know what to think when she saw Ajax there with the other male. As she glanced briefly to the other adults, she thought she saw some tension and displeasure, but she didn't know how to assess it at all. She was so excited that Ajax was back, but at the same time it was so expected, and it made her nervous, even moreso than the real life danger than was approaching them quickly. She moved back over to Bright, glancing back over at Ajax from time to time, but never able to make eye contact. She grabbed Bright's tail again, hoping things would go smoothly and they'd just get over to safety quickly so that things could become normal again.
Haru
The pup smiled up at his elder, wagging his tail as he was praised. Besides his mother, it was not often that he was praised, and from the experience he had, his siblings had mostly made fun of him and made him take on the least desired roles in any game-playing. "I'll try," he said happily, honesty in his words. Before he could talk anymore with Serenity, his brother's reunion became the center of attention, and he sighed heavily. He sensed that Serenity became concerned about this other adult male that came with Ajax, and Haru looked at the brute warily as well. Still, there was safety to find, and Haru followed everyone expectantly, knowing they would lead him where they needed to be.

| The thundering noise just grew in her ears. Jewel frowned. It had started as a rolling thunder to an angry thrumming in her ears. It was so loud now the ground was starting to tremble under her toes. What was this? She blinked her two toned eyes and licked her nose which allowed a stronger flow of scent.
She was close and she could now see the rise of dust in the near distance. The heavy scent of elk and fear flooded her nose. What was this...elk didn't do this? Her body told her to flee from the strange behavior but as a young wolf she had never seen the like. She stood watching. Elks ran from wolves not toward them...what was going on? Was it a sickness? She felt the need to find out so she could warn her pack properly.
The drumming could be felt up her legs now and she glanced about. They were coming much too fast. No time to figure things out now. She would turn and run. An odd sight. A wolf running from a pack of elk it seemed.
Her heart beat hard in her chest and she tasted dirt on her lolling tongue. Run... her body sang....faster faster.... as her eyes looked frantically for a place away from the herd. Someplace safe where she wouldn't be trampled.
OOC: Hope this is okay...skimmed through most of it to catch up...if not lemme know and I will change it. | |

| He pressed his paws against the ground beneath him as he got hit multiple times by the hooves of the elk, his hind paws the only thing holding him from falling to the ground from the power of the hooves. He growled slightly but stopped as he felt the trembling pup underneath him, knowing this must be traumatizing for her. "Everything will be okay Elysia, I'm gonna get you back to your father as soon as-" His words were cut short by another hove making him fight a painful bark. He shut his eyes before opening them again, looking down to look into her eyes with his bright green ones, hoping that will calm her down instead as he learned his eyes were soft like his mother once told him. "You will be fine. I promise." He said truthfully. | |

| "That is very smart of you, Haru," Serenity replied, glad to see that the young boy wanted to develop his skills as quickly as possible. "You will make a fine addition to the pack, I think. Keep your mind open, and anything is possible." He paused when an old scent hit his nares, worn as they were, followed by an excited squeal from Esarosa. Serenity turned to see the youngster bound up to another, and Bright Moon run up to the unfamiliar pup as well. It looked that the whelp, Ajax, had been missing for a period of time, and was now returning. It was peculiar... but what was more peculiar was the wolf standing close behind him, like a dark shadow. He frowned. Before he could even smell or see the wolf's eyes, he could feel the dark aura against his own, and he knew who it was. His brow furrowed as Bright told him of the incoming danger, and the necessity to head for the Falls.
"There will be time for pleasantries later," he said, coming beside Bright, meeting Priest's eyes; silver to gold. Serenity's peaceful nature would not do to clash with him in front of the children. "You can either come with us or leave. The Falls are not very far from where we are." He nodded his head at Bright and turned, nosing the pups to move along. He could feel Priest's eyes boring into the back of his head, as if seeing right through him. Don't turn around, Serenity repeated to himself in his head. Don't give him the satisfaction of your attention. He'll just use it against you. He lifted his head and inhaled, the scent of elk now far-off, and the smell of the woods and the falls very near. He could hear the sound of rushing water, and knew that soon, things would be safe... Mostly.
Back at the High Dens and standing over the ridge, Ali watched the elk storm below, the dust stinging her eyes. She turned away and coughed, a paw over her nose, though she knew it would do her no good. She couldn't even breathe enough to let out a howl. A light bark caught her attention and she cracked open an eye to see Cardinal coming near, and bearing bad news. Her ears fell and her stomach dropped. Oh, how she prayed that Robin would catch up with her, keep her safe... but she was even more worried about Cade and Elysia. She turned to Cardinal. "Serenity, Bright, and the pups moved to Okura Falls, the farthest site away from the elk... Elysia ran off, so a wolf named Cade went after her, and they're in the riverbed over there..." She indicated with her muzzle at the riverbed, where Cade's dark form could be seen huddling close to the ground. Reindeer hooves were shooting over his head like bullets out of a gun, sharp as a samurai sword and as dangerous as any wildcat. There was no way they would be able to rescue him and Elysia from their position.
"I think we're going to have to wait for the stampede to be over, but we can't leave them. One of them... Cade... He could be hurt." She looked over her shoulder at the High Dens, where she had brought back her supply of herbs. She didn't know if she would have enough for them if they got hurt, but it was better than nothing. Her brow furrowed, and she turned back to the granite male. "What happened to Cobalt?" | |

| Cardinal witnessed the energy surging through Doctor, and he couldn't help but reflect on his own adrenaline. It pumped through his veins with vigor, and it was all for the protection of his new family. He was glad to have Doctor as a pack mate, the bruja was intelligent. Cardinal had turned to follow with him to get a report, and nodded in understanding. "Robin went after her, I'll head back to the others, meet at Okura falls!" With that the granite male turned tail and resumed his original direction, following the flow of the elk. It seemed an endless train of the beasts, and for a moment Cardinal turned to see if the end was in sight. Far in the distance the end was in sight, but it was far from being less dangerous, and so the bruja resumed his run. It took him little time in catching familiar scents as he followed the herd into the woods, and when the scents became strong he slowed his pace. Amber lanterns settle on a familiar form, and Cardinal was relieved to know at least more than one of his pack mates was alright. "Ali." It was a light bark, and he came up to her side. "Robin went after Jewel, and Doctors headed there now. She was near us when the migration came upon us." It was a necessity to warn the mother of her children's whereabouts, even if it wasn't a confirmed safe place. "The end is in sight, but I can't say its safe. Where is everyone else?"
----------------
Sore, tired, and frightened. It was the best way to describe the emotions surging through the wolfess, and the top was the terror that coursed through her. Death hadn't been a distant concept, those hooves had enough power to crush her small frame. The kick into the stream bed hadn't felt at all as comfortable as the den next to her siblings. Tears poured from her and a few desperate cries escaped a now sore jowl. One mitt came over her oculars, to shield away the thunder and sight of hundreds of thick hooves leaping over her. Every few moments Elysia would peek, to see if it was over despite the obvious sound that suggested otherwise. When her hues came out this time, a shadow quickly darkened her vision. Elysia had been shivering by this point, except now she shook with fear. It was another wolf, but the scent was only lightly familiar in her terrorized state. The body, even though it remained unfamiliar, was comforting and her frame shook less violently. The nightmare was vivid and surreal, as it continued to occur outside of the pelt she was nestled under. The sound became duller, thankfully refusing to assault her auds. | |

| The mother watched as Cade and Ali went off. She was depending on them to find Elysia, but at the same time she knew the other female would be worried for her own daughter even moreso. It was an anxious situation, but Bright gave into it, knowing she had no other choice. She had to get Esa and Haru to safety. Taking in a deep breath, she began to follow Serenity as he led the way to the location he thought would be safest. Though Bright had been around the territory a few times, she wasn't fully familiar with the entire landscape, and she wasn't sure she could chooe the best place to rendezvous for safety. She trusted the others' judgement and followed quietly, her mind buzzing over the possbilities of what was going to happen.Nothing prepared her for what was coming, though. A sudden voice cut through the air, and when the femora turned to see who it was, she spotted her son instantly, but she could not belive her eyes. So astonished, she barely became aware of the teeth that had let her tail go. She bounded over to Ajax, taking in his scent as she drew near. "Ajax, you are really here!" she said, a flurry of emotions filling her voice. She looked over him, wanting to just take him and embrace him strongly, but she knew there were pressing matters at hand. She looked up to the male that accompanied her son. "You found him!" she exclaimed, "I can't thank you enough for bring him home.. I.." Her silver eyes welled up with tears of gratitude. She knew nothing of this wolf's history, nor of his connections. All she knew was that he had returned her son. Then she shook herself, and became more alert. "We have to get out of here," she said with a serious tone, "There is danger coming, and we cannot risk staying here any longer." She looked to her boy, hoping he would be willing to cooperate. It had been so long since she'd seen him, and there was no time for a proper reunion or talking things through... they just needed to go, and right now! She looked to Serenity, hoping he would take the lead here. EsarosaThe little coal-coated femme was following along in silence, holding Bright's tail, when things suddenly became very interesting. Bright stopped dead in her tracks at the sound of an unfamiliar voice, but someone very familiar was the center of her attention. Esa looked, and she felt the same sort of disbelief as the boy's mother. Ajax was here! He had been brought home! She let go of Bright' tail and trotted forward. "Ajax!" she yipped excitedly. She could see the displeased look upon his face, and knew how he must feel to have been forced here by an adult. She couldn't blame him for looking so irritated. But now she didn't know what to say to him. She had admired him so much when they were much smaller, and she had missed him, but what did she say to him now that he was back? Besides that, Bright stole the spotlight, her motherly concern overriding any doubts. Esa stood in the background of things, watching with interest, but not knowing what to do, or what sort of move to make. Instead, she merely waited, knowing they would soon be moving to cover, and that they needed to be safe from whatever was coming. There was no time to celebrate.HaruThe boy smiled as Serenity acknowledged him, responding with a soft smile and introduction. As they moved along, Haru stumbled after the older wolf, perking when he heard Serenity ask him what he liked to do for fun. "Oh, for fun?" he said, somewhat unsure of how to respond. Yet, he did not want to displease the older wolf, so he had to come up with an answer. "I guess I like to play," he said, grinning and wagging his tail, "But I only like games that teach you something useful. You know, like learning how to hunt or fight." He tilted his head, wondering what the elder would say about this, but then something unexpected was to interrupt. He hear his name, and upon turning his head, saw an unfamiliar wolf. However, upon looking closer, he spotted his brother near the stranger, and his eyes peeled open. Ears titled back in dismay. It's not that he didn't love his brother.. It wasn't that he hoped Ajax would never come home. It was that he knew his brother had no love for him, or at least he thought so. Haru didn't care for his brother's antics and teasings. Things had gotten somewhat easier since he'd left. Why was he back now? Haru struggled between his guilt for such thoughts, and his fears for what was to come now. Scratching the ground nervously, he shrugged towards the pair, and let Bright take care of any greetings. | |

| Oh brother where thee be. Brother Brother I come to see. He smirked as the pup walked in front of him, no more like sulked. "Don't be so down. This family cared for you and you left them, grow up Ajax, it's time to be a wolf, not a pup, no matter how small your body is." He rolled his eyes when the pup looked back at him and growled. "Just like your father so" he whispered, low enough that the pup wouldn't hear him. It was then the scent of the oh familiar brother caught his attention and he smirked. "Well, you're home time to buck up kid" He laughed again at the pups growl and then stepped over him. "Fun isn't fun with you brother" his words sliced through the trees towards the white wolf. Golden eyes shining through the trees were followed by the dark pelted monster.
"Haru, what an interesting name. I've heard it before, and I brought you a gift... an old gift" he stepped aside while Ajax walked up and sighed sitting down looking at Haru. Last time he had seen him... they were fighting... so where was, and then he saw her grabbed onto Brights tail... "Hi" he mumbled feeling more ashamed then anything to be sitting right here. How much trouble would he be in now... having left and then coming back here. Evon hadn't been exactly what she was cracked up to be, and she had to much going on to deal with a pup, that's when he had wandered and found Priest, or more he found him, and then forced him home...

| Cade suddenly bolted forward, perhaps catching a scent before she did. She wasn't sure, but she sprinted after him, and came to an abrupt halt as they were suddenly right alongside the stampede. Cade barked once, and then vanished into the elk storm. "Cade!" Ali half-barked and half-snarled, furious and terrified as he zig-zagged between the pounding hooves and sharp antlers. He could be trampled, and there would be no way for anyone to help him without risking their own lives. He tore over to a stream-bed, a small hill making the elk jump over him, where he could be seen protecting Elysia. Well, at least they found her... but now, everyone was in even more danger. Ali still couldn't catch a scent, sight, or sound of her daughter, and she knew that she must be nearby... This was the area that she was supposed to be. The husky had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach, and she prayed that it wasn't right.
Meanwhile, Serenity traipsed through the woods, the young whelp alongside him. "And I am Serenity," he replied to Haru, a soft smile crinkling his worn face. His stomach was warm and full, and he had been in the middle of a nap, so he was still very much tired. He looked forward to arriving at Okura Falls, where he'd be able to bask in the shade and fallen leaves, listening to the sound of the rushing water. "What do you like to do for fun, Haru?" Serenity asked, his interest in pups always present, although he never had any of his own. He wasn't sure why... perhaps, it was because there was never a woman to capture his heart... No, there had been in the past, but that was a very long time ago. | |

| He almost cursed as he lept to the side as his path finally crossed with the elk mass, but ignored them as he kept running in the direction he knew Jewel was last seen, avoiding a stray elk here and there until he was clear and was able to keep running without needing to worry.
He slowed somewhat hearing his name, but never came to a full stop. It was up to Cardinal to stay with him pay attention as he responded, "Of the lower dens, yes, in the way of this mess? Maybe not. I last saw Jewel heading in this direction, and she might still be around wherever she is. One of Nuri's pups should be at the high dens with a newcomer and anyone else still there. Those are the only ones I've seen recently." He didn't want to stop running. Sometimes, it was all he could do, and he loved and hated it. Cardinal was fine, but he didn't know about anyone else, and he'd blame himself if anyone he'd been in contact with recently was injured. And then, depending on the outcome, there might be more running in his near future. No matter where he went, the wolves either embraced or despised him. There were no in betweens. All he ever had done was survive and move on, sometimes unintentionally ruining lives along the way. Thus was the seemingly unfixable spiral he'd led himself on that moment he'd left his last group of companions. | |

| As Cade walked with Ali through the forest, the thundering sound came more and more louder before he heard a faint bark, oh so faint making him bolt forward but was instantly stopped by the herd that was raging through here. He barked out loud, trying to get Elysia's attention wherever she was, not being able to see her. He used his snout to find her scent only to hear her bark for help made him jump into the herd with a snarl, nipping at them as he ran with them, trying to stay as high as possible so he doesn't get trampled out. He sees the stream ahead and ran to it, ducking below the hooves that jumped over only to see Elysia there in a little ball of fur a few feet away. He crawled to her, his head low but not enough as he got hit a few times making him close his eyes from the dizziness. When he reached Elysia he covered her with his body knowing there was nothing to do but wait it out, getting hit a few times was better then the pup being harmed. | |

| Cardinal stood strong, his features still staring down at the rushing herd. In moments his bones and body would be crushed and split open by hundreds of heavy hoofs, there was a chance that they may fear his presence but their drive for food and a safe mating area would likely over power such feelings. His amber hues had turned to Robin, but by then the bruja fled to his daughter, where ever that was. He would've protested the male's decision, and joined him in the search, but Cardinal held confidence in Robin, and there were others to be concerned about. The granite male stood for only a few more moments, before dashing off, with only a few pawlengths of a distance between him and the migration. He was quick paced, mitts and talons tearing at the earth, leaving thick deep canyons to be filled by the elk's flattening hooves. It was time to find the others, and warn them of this threat.
Surely they all felt the trembling ground, and the sound was certainly deafening from where he ran. Cardinal had moved off from the central path, and far enough to the side so that when he slowed he wasn't in the way. For a moment he stopped, and watched as the blur of large bodies strode past him. Their cries of warning mingled with their collective thunder, and his attention was lost on the mesmerizing sight. He had seen herds before, but this was a whole moving migration. His attention snapped back to reality, and yellow oculars scanned his surroundings. To ensure that no straying elk came his way, Cardinal bark loudly and took a step forward, watching as the herd moved back but never stopped their run. He moved quickly again, his mitts carrying him up and away, only a short distance before he spotted a familiar face. "Doctor!" Another bark escaped his jowls, and for a moment his eyes glanced at the migration as it entered the woods. Cardinal slowed his pace as he cleared the distance between him and his packmate. "Is everyone safe and away from the lower dens?" The granite bruja looked to his friend for information.
-----------------
The young whelpess wandered gleefully into the woods, shortly after being asked to visit her father again. Elysia followed the path she had came, her mind preoccupied by the attention span of any whelp. Her wanderings brought her away from the original path, leading a bit more southward. It was only a few more paces and then her auds picked up a call, a voice that spoke her name. Ely smirked and quickly hid in a thicket, eyes watching carefully and silently as Cade called for her but kept moving. Where was Doctor? Shaking the thought away, her attention turned to the rumbling ground. It was a weird feeling, and if she didn't ground herself to the terra it would shake her body. It felt very entertaining, and so for a while she simply playfully stood lightly, letting the earth shake her. Then, her attention turned to the stones rattling about. Her new game was to try and catch these constantly jumping stones with her tiny mitts. Elysia found herself chasing on that jumped further and further away, consistently escaping her grasp. Giggles escaped her maw on a few occasion, and she was oblivious to the crashing sound of hundreds of feet tearing down the forest on their way.
When the rock ended up jumping into a stream bed, Elysia stopped and pouted for a moment, before lifting her gaze. "Hello?" Her tiny bark was covered by the herd, and she looked around with a bit of panic in her. The sound was loud and hurt her tiny auds, and then she saw it. Initially it was just one, a single elk, and then four across, Elysia froze as she saw some of the depth of the herd. It took for the migration to be only a few paw lengths away for the youth to turn tail and run, a desperate bark of fear escaping her kissers. Small mitts carried at her full potential, which wasn't enough and in a few moments the herd was over her. Oculars scanned in desperation, and she consistently dodged the deadly hooves as she b-lined it for a deep set stream bed. "Help!" Another bark escaped as she came within a few paces of the stream before a sharp hit sent her flying into it. Elysia flew into the inset, flopping hard against stone and curling up. She watched countless elk jump over her before shutting her eyes, trying to block out the terrifying sound and sight. | |

| Doctor knew he'd be in the crossfire if he remained too much longer, but this meant he'd find anyone in danger of coming across this... thing. He periodically called out for Elysia and Jewel, both of which he'd hope would respond if they heard his urgent tone. Doctor didn't have much experience with young pups, but he hadn't gotten one lost and now he had to wonder if it was the best idea to send her back alone. Generally anywhere but with him was safest unless they were already in the heart of trouble which, at the time, hadn't been the case.
If she had retraced her steps, she'd encounter one of the pack, or they'd meet up with her. She was too young to hide her scent purposefully. Jewel, though... he believed he was heading in the direction he'd last seen her... With any luck, he'd come across one of them soon. He'd been too preoccupied in his thoughts to take notice of anything else, and suddenly his brain called himself to take note of the strong smell of... a herd? His path didn't stray or falter. Why would a herd of elk be running in a craze like this toward wolf lands? He wanted to check it out to understand why, and fought to maintain his path. Through all his travels, he'd never seen something like this before. Then he mentally scolded himself. The pack came first, and he wasn't a loner anymore. He had a responsibility, one that he forgot at times, despite having been the temporary relief for Nuri. | |

| Cade looked at the two new wolves that came there way, one older looking while the other a average female wolf. "Nice to meet you, I'm Cade. " He nodded at them in greeting and listened to them spoke, glancing down at the two pups seeing there interactions made him smirk before looking back up at them, his green eyes connecting to each and every one of them. As soon as he heard that they should go somewhere safer, he thought for a second that he was ordered to tell the pack members to go up to the high dens, but since he wasn't part of the pack and didn't know which was better he left the matter into the elders paws and agreed with Ali that they should find Elysia and her daughter, nodding back at the other wolves before jogging with her, trusting Ali's nose that they were going the right way as his attention was to the thundering noise that disturbed him greatly. He pushed the emotion away as he had to help find the other pack members, his nose went down to the ground as he brushed his dark brown fur against Ali's fur he looked at her apologetically, keeping eye contact with her for a sec before going back to finding Elysia and keeping an eye out for Jewel at the same time. He felt quiet but it seemed he really had nothing to say as his snout stayed down at the ground, his ears flicking at every sound made by a leaf to a critter. | |

| She perked up as the male spoke, telling her what he'd been ordered to do. This must have been a difficult time for him to come upon the pack; he seemed a little unsure, definitely unfamiliar with the area and probably didn't know where he fit in yet. Bright did not feel bothered by him giving her directions. This was a dangerous situation, and there was no time to care about rank right now. She nodded agreeably as he said they should all go to the high dens. "Yes, that is probably the safest option," she said softly. Her heart sank when he said he didn't know of Elysia's whereabouts. She wanted dearly to search for her, but she could not put the two with her in danger. She was about to gather the pups and get moving when Ali showed up with an older male, one she wasn't familiar with. Bright could feel Haru tugging at her fur, but she ignored his proddings, as the healer was clearly trying to get everyone organized. Bright listened, anxious to get going. She tilted an ear back as plans changed. Without relaying the information of their new gathering place, the pack would be separated. Yet, it would be best to head for the safest cover possible, especially with the young ones. At last, the cue was given to move out, and she glanced toward her pups. Haru was right beside her, but Esa was not where she had been. A ripple of worried anger shot through her, and she scented the air quickly, but before she could take action, she could already see Ali setting upon the whelp.
As Esa was set down next to her, she gave Ali a grateful look, then set her sights upon the pup, little emerald eyes gleaming up at her. She sighed heavily as the pup protested. "Grab hold of my tail and don't you dare let go, Esa," she said sternly, forcing back the seething anger brought on only by concern. Why must Esa cause her to worry and stress so much? She heard Serenity come near, but watched Esa and did not look up until the pup was clamped onto the end of her tail. She could feel the pup's needle teeth grazing her tail tip, grabbing more than a mouthful of fur. Wincing, she looked up as Serenity offered to help watch them as they headed towards safety. "That would be so much help," she said, her voice sounding tired and frazzled. She looked to her boy. "Haru, would please stay close to Serenity?" she requested, knowing she needn't ask him twice. That way she could focus all her attention onto Esa, so she wouldn't start making her own decisions again. But with the way the pup held onto her tail, Bright would know the instant she let go.
Esarosa
She thought she had successfully gotten away from the adults and would find Elysia on her own, but it was not long before she heard the rustling of undergrowth behind her. Padfalls approached quickly, and she turned just in time to see Ali towering towards her. She could do nothing as the femme swooped down to grab her scruff, whisking her back just the way she'd come. "Are you serious?" she complained, swatting the air futilely, "I could have found her and been back just fine on my own!". Her paws touched down on the ground and she turned to face Ali as the healer spoke. She hated being spoken to like a child, as though she didn't know anything and wasn't allowed to make up her own mind. She especially did not like being told what to do. She wrinkled her puppy nose and glared up at Ali, emerald pools gleaming. "She is not my mother!" she spouted in full brat fashion. She huffed as she saw the femme go off without another word, and knew it didn't matter what she said, she had no choice and would have to stay with the group.
She grumbled in annoyance, then looked up at Bright, whose eyes were filled with worry before a sterness overtook. She glanced downward, gritting her teeth for a moment and wondering if she should have just kept her mouth shut. She could feel Haru's gaze on her, and glanced at him briefly, ears folding back. Then she looked back to Bright and the woman demanded she hold onto her tail, and Esa huffed in annoyance again. What am I, a newborn? she thought, stomping over to Bright and clamping her jaws onto the femme's tail. She knew she should only grab the fur tightly, but she let her teeth prick the tail slightly. That'll show her to tell me what to do. But Bright said nothing of it, so she moved her teeth simply onto the fur, realizing right now she was not going to get away with anything. Feeling impatient, she wished the adults would hurry up and figure out what was going on, then they could get moving and she could see where they were going.
Haru
Silver speckled eyes glanced up and around. He didn't want to interrupt the grown-ups as they spoke about their important matters, but he wondered when his mother would notice Esa's absence. If she got too far away, she was going to get lost, and maybe hurt by that thundering noise that was coming. He whined slightly, but nobody heard. Now some more wolves were showing up, and they were ready to get going. At last, one of the adults noticed Esarosa sneaking off and went to retrieve her. Haru smirked in her direction. "Serves you right," he whispered, then glared at her as she spitefully dismissed his mother's role in her life. If he were bigger and stronger, he would have swatted her himself. It's not like Bright was required to take care of her, but she did so with such dedication as a mother would, and she paid Esa so much mind because of her constant disobedience. He would always listen to Bright, but she couldn't pay him as much attention since she was always after her for some reason or another. How dare she take that attention for granted? He would gladly have Bright all to himself, but she was dedicated to all of them. He growled a puppy growl under his breath, then looked up as he heard his mother's voice. She was sending him to follow the older male. Blinking, he nodded to her and moved over to where Serenity was, looking up at him expectantly. "Hi, I'm Haru," he introduced himself, waiting to see what was happening next.. | |

| Ali's auds straightened, a sharp bark echoing off the surrounding hills. She looked up to see an unfamiliar dark brown male making his way towards the dens. Instinct surged through her to defend them, but saw Bright Moon emerge, already on the case. Even from her distance, Ali could hear his words of danger, and knew that he meant no harm. She rushed over to Serenity and pushed at his shoulder. "You need to wake up, Serenity," she ordered, nudging him again. "Something big is going to be coming through here, and if you don't move, you'll be crushed."
Serenity stirred, eyes and ears alert. He inhaled the air. "Ali... Do you smell that?" he asked, to which Ali raised her own nose, sniffed, and nodded. He crawled out from beneath the pine, his joints aching from the rude awakening, but understanding the danger. "Elk. We better get to high ground. No. We should move somewhere away from them. They'll destroy everything in their path," he said, raising his head and seeing the rust-colored dust cloud in the distance, the thunder growing nearer. He then turned to Ali for direction. She met his gaze. "I think Doctor sent the wolf up ahead. C'mon, let's hurry," she said, to which Serenity sighed. He was an old man... He would take a while longer to get there than the rest of them. But instead of bounding ahead, Ali accompanied him on his way up the slope, to Bright Moon and her pups and the newcomer.
It didn't take Ali long to realize that she was next in the hierarchy. "Serenity, Bright Moon, Haru, Esarosa," she said aloud, seeing the faces and taking their names. She looked at the newcomer. "I'm Ali, Delta and healer of the pack. I'm sorry I haven't gotten your name yet, but Doctor spoke to you, yes? Where is Elysia?" she asked, then looking around for the young whelp. Her throat tightened. She would not lose another young life of this pack.
Serenity cleared his throat. "I've seen herds like this before... They're going to crush everything in their path. Even though we are high above the ground, there is a meadow nearby that they can smell, and they will flood it like ravens to a kill. They will also drink the creeks and rivers dry. We must move away from altogether," he said, being one of the elder wolves. He looked at a swath of autumn-colored forest just north of them. There was the shimmer of water, like a waterfall heading over a small cliff. "There. That place," he said, indicating with his muzzle. "The trees will provide natural shelter."
"Okura Falls. All right. We'll go there," she said, but didn't move out just yet. She looked to the new wolf. "I have to find my daughter, Jewel. She's a white yearling with two-colored eyes. Help me find her, and Elysia. We'll join the rest of the pack at the falls when we've found them." She searched around, trying to find Nuri, but he was out of sight. She frowned. He had been difficult to locate as of late, and it was becoming frustrating. Granted, he was as old as Serenity and his heart had been through hardship, but he was still the Alpha of the pack; while they could manage fine on their own, they still needed him...
"Let's go," Ali yipped, and just as she was about to take off, noticed Esarosa slinking through the grass. She loped up and snatched the youngster by her scruff. "Not today, young lady. You stay with your mother. We'll find your sister." She plopped Esarosa down a few paces away from Bright Moon, releasing a sounding bark to let the fem know. She then put her own nose to the ground and sniffed for Elysia's scent; thankfully, it was not too far away. She galloped through the brush, the copper leaves falling around her, but whether it was from the changing of the seasons or the thunder of the earth, she didn't know. But she would find both Elysia and Jewel, no matter what.
"Shall we get a move on?" Serenity asked Bright Moon, seeing Ali return the wandering whelp. "I may be old, but I can help you keep an eye on the little ones. Or maybe they will be the ones keeping an eye on me." He smiled, almost nonplussed by the situation, but more of trying to ease the mood. They had enough time to get out of harm's way. The rest of the pack would see to that. | |

| As he walked he caught the scent of a female and a pup, making him jog towards it only to be greeted by a Grey wolf with a hint of silver in her fur as he which admired about her but he knew there wasn't really time for small chat. His ears lifted themselves to hear what she called out. "I was ordered by the pack Doctor to send everyone to the high dens. And the pup Elysia is one I met before. Just wondering where she is, hoping she is safe with her father." His green eyes stayed locked onto her as he spoke but he glanced down to see the pup and smiled in a greeting form before looking back up at her. "I don't know whats going on, sorry no. But we should get to the high dens Immediately." He instructed, even though he felt out of place saying those words. He wasn't part of the pack yet he was telling her what to do, it felt wrong but he wouldn't complain at this moment. He turned to start walking towards the high dens, looking back to see if she will follow or yell at him for giving orders as a nomad. | |

| Silver eyes looked up, black-tipped ears perked as a concerned look crossed the femme's expression. Two pups were amongst her, looking up from the hare they had helped their guardian catch. Blood lightly stained all of their muzzles, but not one of them wasted effort cleaning it. Something was quickly becoming worrisome. Bright looked down at the whelps, then back up again. Her eyes scanned the skies, looking for a storm, but there was nothing of concern amongst the lightly swirling heights. She looked to the youngsters again. "I don't know what that noise is.." she said, then raising her tone slightly, "But it is not anything good. We need to find shelter, and I need your cooperation." Without another word, she glanced at the two sternly, especially the young female, who obviously wanted to protest. Esarosa was always questioning things and thrilled in seeking risks. Bright couldn't understand her need to test boundaries. Haru always listened to her and took her requests seriously. However, he always seemed to be tripping over his own paws, and didn't really excel at anything, even though he tried his best at all times. Between the two of them, she was tired, not to mention her worry for the other whelpess, Elysia, who was never in sight. She couldn't blame the young girl for holding more interest in her father, though. As for her other son, Ajax... he had been missing for a long while now. Her heart ached heavily for him, but she had no energy left to focus on his absence, nor on finding him. It was obvious that he had gone off intentionally, and had left no trace of wanting to be found.
She reached forward and snatched up the hare, then turned and set off, expecting the young wolves to follow. She had no time for argument at the moment, and she knew something dangerous was happening, she just wasn't sure what. Saliva filled her mouth as she trotted with the small prey animal clamped in her jaws. This food was not for her though - she would let the pups nibble at it until they were content, and she would find herself something later. As she moved towards the dens, a sudden, frantic voice filled her auds. Somebody was calling for Elysia, but she didn't recognize his masculine voice. Then he called for anyone. Glancing over her should, seeing both pups following, she pushed forward a little harder. It was not long before a dark brown form was seen. Bright moved towards him, glad that she had found someone in this worrisome time. "Excuse me!" she called, realizing it was hard to hear even her own voice over the thunderous noise rumbling through the ground, "Do you know what's happening? Where is everybody? Where's Elysia?" She knew not everything was of her concern, but she couldn't help worrying. She didn't want to hear that anyone was hurt or missing.
Esarosa
The young black femme looked up, emerald pools glaring rebelliously as Bright instantly demanded her cooperation. Her jaws parted to issue a complaint, but the look in Bright's silvery eyes suggested she keep it to herself this time. Normally, she would resist, just because it was fun, but something about that distant rumbling sent a chill up her spine, and she could see the worry in her guardian's eyes. It was not usual for Bright to show anything other than calm, quiet guidance. Snorting with annoyance, she waited for Bright to do something, and watched the older femme take up their prey and turn heel towards the dens. She trotted proudly behind the silver-pelted femme, walking ahead of her 'brother' Haru. She shot him a sideways glance, then huffed, shaking her head. He was trying his best to keep up and do his best, but he always seemed to overlook rocks and tree roots, tripping frequently and whining about minor hurts. To her, he was only an easy rival, someone she could beat at everything. Flicking her small tail into the air, she strode onward, until they came in contact with another wolf. Esa didn't recognize him, but he didn't seem threatening, and he certainly wasn't the cause of this rumbling noise. Triangular ears perked as she heard her sister's name called. Suddenly she felt a bit worried, and she realized that whatever was happening, it was causing the adults to move hastily. And her sister was off somewhere.
Scanning around, she looked for anyone familiar. It seemed like the wolves were all out and about, and nobody was properly gathered. What were they going to do? She glanced slyly at Bright, and then set her eyes on Haru. She shot him a sharp glare as she started creeping away, more worried about where her sister was than what anyone else was doing. She hadn't seen Elysia in a while, and it didn't sit well with her that she might be in danger. Slinking amongst the grasses and brush, she let her nose go to work, although her skill for tracking was weak. She could smell her sister, but the scent was not informative, not to her young mind. She followed it to the best of her ability, but she was going nowhere..
Haru
The young male looked up at his mother with a mouthful of fur from the hare as his mother decided they must go. The thundering noise spooked him, and his eyes were wide as he watched Bright grab the hare and take off swiftly. He set off after her, his eyes always watching her, taking no notice of the terrain. He stumbled as he went, but he didn't let it stop him. His will to follow his mother overpowered the feeling of sore paw pads and fatigue. He took no notice of Esa's judgmental looks, waving his tail in the air as he followed along dutifully. As they came nearer to the den site, somebody was calling out for Elysia, or for anyone. His voice sounded desperate and winded. Haru's ears folded back, and he pressed himself close against Bright's legs as she spoke to the new male. He happened to notice Esarosa slipping away, and she glared at him, a scalding look that he couldn't stand. He wrinkled his nose as he watched her slip away. Good riddance, he thought stubbornly. However, he couldn't help the guilt that bubbled up, and he turned to his mother. Gently, he nipped at the tips of her fur, hoping to get her attention...

| He stood there as he heard each and every word the doctor said before nodding, not wasting another moment as he sped off towards the high dens, the last thing the doctor should see is his dark brown tail disappearing. His green eyes searched every part of the woods his vision could reach as he ran straight, his hind legs pushing farther and farther each step as his paws pressed hard against the ground for only seconds before lifting it back up. He soon was growing out of breath but kept going towards the Dens. "Elysia?" He called out only knowing her in the pack hoping she was here since no one else recognized him, relying on his word that they wouldn't attack him. "Anyone!?" He barked out as he slowed down to a jog since his breath was piratically gone. | |

| As Doctor was bout to reply, a confused expression made its features known. What bloody storm moved this fast? Or had he jumped to the worst case conclusion and there had been something else? Quickly, he responded, "We're about an average size, give or take, and we have two den sites. Change of plans. This thing is moving too fast, and I don't know what it is." He turned direction towards the high dens, and said very quickly, but just slow enough for Cade to understand, "Head straight in the direction we're running now. You'll make it to the high dens without getting lost. Run at full speed and tell a wolf for the pack to just take shelter once wolves arrive unless he already knows what it is. Make sure Nuri's pup you saw earlier is there. There are wolves wandering the lands, and I can't guarantee they'll know something is wrong and they probably shouldn't be near it. I can maneuver best alone. GO!" His tone wasn't unkind, but it also held no argument. He changed direction again, making sure Cade wasn't following. He sped up, running at maximum speed, searching and slightly curious to what this was. This was something he hadn't experienced in his travels, and no matter how dire, he always had a curiosity tht hadn't killed him yet. | |

| The rumbling of the earth grew beneath every bound he made. Robin sprinted to catch up with Cardinal and Cobalt, the air rising all around him like a dust cloud, drying his nares and stinging his vision. When he finally caught up with them, a musky scent mixed with the dust settled, and Robin knew exactly what it was. "Yes, I do. Elk," he responded, to which he began to look in all directions for his daughter. He could smell her, but see her, he could not. A slight chord struck in his chest. Keep her close, is what he had said to Ali, but now protecting Jewel was his responsibility. But where was she? The herd wasn't far away, and stampeding towards them at breakneck speed... Crushing meadows underhoof, draining rivers of their water, and devouring entire fields like locusts. It was a prime opportunity to hunt, but the pack had just eaten, and there were far too many for them to take on... He nodded at Cardinal's words, though; it would do them no good to panic. Order had to be taken. "Sounds good. I'll get everyone to the High Dens, do a head count, and rendezvous with you and Cobalt at Okura Falls," he repeated, for clarity. "But if I'm not back in time by the time they get to the lake... Send up a howl, to let someone know, so that they all can get out of there safely."
Maroon eyes faced the valley again, sweeping up and down, behind him and beside him, for any sign of his daughter. Her familial scent permeated the air... He winced against the sunlight and through the dust, when he saw a flash of white between the trees. "Jewel!" he barked, but he knew that his voice would be lost over the roar of the hooves pounding the landscape. He gritted his teeth - she was on the other side of the elk herd! There was no way he could reach her from where he was at; if he wanted to, he would have to either go through the herd (pure suicide), or around it... And there was no telling what Jewel had in mind. "I'm going after her. Don't follow," he said to Cobalt and Cardinal, and bolted down into the valley. He would go around the herd, hoping to meet Jewel at the back, but he didn't know what she was doing... Why wasn't she gathering the herbs like Ali told her too... What was she thinking? | |

| He nodded obediently, his green eyes darting back to the direction of the noise before jogging with the doctor, his dark brown fur brushed against a tree leaving his scent. "How big is the pack? And how many dens are out here?" He asked as they jogged, his eyes and ears picking up on anything that caught within his sight. He was glad that he could help some way and that the Doctor actually let him which was a slight surprise wondering why he didn't asked so many questions about him and where he was from but he didn't mind not being hounded. He was relieved as he didn't like to talk about pointless things like that, the Doctor probably didn't have time to do so anyway which was understandable in this situation. | |

| "Actually, yes, there is something," Doctor replied after Elysia departed. Looking around, he continued, "I want to look for stragglers in this area of the lands. I want you to stick with me and help me look so you don't get lost looking for the correct dens. Two pairs of eyes may be better than one, and when facing an unknown circumstance, it's best to have a companion in case one needs to seek help. We won't do this for long so we won't be in more danger than necessary. Let me know if you see someone, and no heroics without my lead."
He started to move perpendicular to the direction the noise was coming from. There was no way he'd head towards it dead on, especially since the noise was starting to get louder, and he didn't have a way to gauge how close it was. Plus, there was always the chance this thing was something that he wouldn't see until it was atop him, which he really hoped isn't the case. Assassins were bad enough without throwing nature into the mix. He still had to consider the fact that some of the other pups, like Elysia wandered off and would probably head towards the noise, although he wouldn't be able to do anything if any were already that close. His pace started as a slow jog so Cade could catch up, but would speed up slightly once he knew the other was following. | |

| Cardinal's yellow gaze followed Ali as she returned to the dens, before averting to Cobalt. "Come on, Robin will catch up." With that, the granite male began a quick paced walk. Twin peaks remained attentive, catching every sound carefully. From the crickets, to the birds, the mysterious and thunderous sound over came all. It was no thunder, the beat was off and wide spread, and the sky was clear from clouds. The pack had a right to worry, Cardinal was concerned himself. Still, it would be best to identify the source rather than alarm the pack. By now they must of all been hearing it, since Ali first showed it to him it had become louder. That was the bigger concern, for it was definitely coming closer. Cardinal's pace quickened, and he only glanced back briefly. Spotting the approaching form of Robin, he hadn't seen the bruja in a while. But that was not something to dwell on. all the same he slowed his pace so that Robin could catch up. "Your daughter's close." Cardinal spoke with an uneasy tone, he had just picked up the scent. Here, where they were now, the sound had become quite over powering. And then his attention shifted, nares flared to recapture the scent he had had only a moment ago. A familiar scent wafted near, seemingly coming before the sound.
It was hard to pinpoint, the scent of teared up earth and dust was mixed but still Cardinal was certain. The granite bruja slowed quickly, and eventually to a halt. "Robin, do you smell that?" He barked, as loud as he could. The sound bared its source, the crushing thunder of an elk herd, and in only moments the very visualization of said herd. The distance was short, and only exposed the width of the migration. This would seem like a opportune hunt, but it was the opposite. The migration wouldn't stop when they were on the run, and those hooves could crush any of them if they got caught in the midst of the movement. Cardinal bristled slightly, it was another danger that this pack was going to experience. "Robin, get Jewel and head back to the dens. Get everyone to the high dens again. They'll run through the low ones and out Snowfall's Lookout, warn everyone and do a head count." The herd was gaining ground, and the sound was deafening. "I'll head to the border and bring the newcomer, and whoever greeted him, there. If not we'll head to Okura Falls."

Elysia opened her maw to speak, but another voice interrupted her. The young fae turned her attention to the approaching male, someone who was recognizable but she knew little about. Elysia watched the exchange in silence, and from a lower vantage point. Listening to Doctor speak made her curious, and her attention was sharp on his words. When he mentioned the alpha, Ely bounced slightly and smiled. "That's my dad!" It seemed though, that her excitement was over looked. She calmed herself and looked around while the two bruja's spoke to one another, she turned her body to the direction of the oncoming sound and tilted her head lightly. Elysia turned back when Doctor's features came into view, and his lyrics filled her tiny auds. Elysia sat stood attentively, and then nodded in understanding. Without a response, the young woman put a bounce in her step and headed back the way she came. | |
