Ooc:|| This is gunna suck...just so you know.
Bic:||

Teagen and Aslan had been with Robin and the pups. What a rush, what a horrible rush of things to have the bears here. She hadn't paid any attention to what had happened, she kept counting pup after pup after pup. Aslan was with her, sticking close to her side with the other pups. "Everyone's okay" And Robin said to move. Silent said to go to the main den. So they would. Teagen ushered pups with Robin, giving him a smile of relief as the pups began to move. "Koda. Come on" she had spotted the whelp looking back towards where the bear had gone. "Now." she said more firmly and he turned quickly and followed with his father.

They went along and Teagan spotted one wolf down another one mending. Her heart lept, her first 'friend' here was wounded. "Aslan, go with Robin. I'll be there soon" she heard the protested whine from her daughter but she turned away. She came up as Doctor finished and asked his question. "Amazing..." she said as she looked at the work. "Are you okay?" she asked, coming round and looking at Cardinal. She didn't want to answer Docs question for him, that was rude, she was more worried about the bru laying on the ground. "Thank you. Both of you. All of you... I'm sorry you got hurt..." she sighed and stood there, looking over at the whelps before looking back down to Cardinal. "Shall we go to the main den. I'll help you"

Why was she always so offering. She felt safe here, welcome, so it was in her need to help the others in any way possible. Aslan's bark caught her attention, she was dissapearing from sight heading towards the main den. She would deal, she had to learn to be a big girl eventually...

Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 27 BrightMoonb

Bright watched with relief as things settled down and everybody was acounted for. She looked to the Alphaess as Silent addressed her, and was surprised, but reassured, by her gentle and easygoing nature. Nodding, she turned to follow the rest of the pack. She caught site of Nuri, and watched as he rushed over to join the Alphaess' side. He reminded her of Riddick, and for a split second she pictured herself in Silent's place, her mate beside her. A pang ran through her belly and brought her back to reality; she felt crushed, and almost did not want to go onward. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, she forced reason upon herself and followed the other pack members to the main den area. She watched quite shyly as one wolf tended to the other. She had a mere scratch upon her snout, something that would heal on its own, and she did not bother to ask for assisstance.

Instead, Bright meandered over to a cozy looking den, and gave it a sniff. No one seemed to be occupying it, so she entered and took a look around. Pleased with it, she came back to its entrance and lay down, half in and half out of the den so she could see what was going on; also so that Silent would see where she was when she returned. She would have to introduce herself and state her reason for being here, and make an announcement of her pregnancy so that it would not come as a surprise for anyone here.

With the marigold in his jaws, Doctor came back to where the pack was supposed to meet to see that Cardinal was there. Clinging to the stem of the plant was a bit of cobweb, as that particular stach had been in a tree where some spiders have apparently found home. He placed the plant down, and looked at the wound, casting a more critical eye on it than before. Extracting the web off the stem, he moved it to the wound. His main goal was to remove the dried blood without causing more bleeding, leaving the site cleaner. Turning to the marigold, he started to prepare it into a small pulp, just enough to cover the wound. The web was easily removed, the blood causing it to lose some its stickiness. It was just as well, as he covered the area the web had previously been with the pulp.

When he was done, he stepped back and said, "I'm not the neatest nor creative like other healers may be, but I get the job done," he said, "I don't really have any specific instructions, since the marigold is mostly precaution. It doesn't have to stay on all day, and it's a thin layer so you don't have to worry about it falling out too soon." Pausing, he titled his head and said, "I saw when you arrived, but I don't think I caught your name."

It wasn’t hard to come up with marigold, though he wondered if Doctor might’ve been confused. Most wolves knew little about herbs and their affects, only the healers really knew it all. Cardinal had picked up quite a lot of useful information over his journey, which luckily had been a minor study of herbs. He would never be a healer, for various reasons, he only knew the herbs and their affects, not necessarily what they looked like. It also wasn’t a rank he sought, he was grateful to knew a bit about them, but he could never be a healer. Cardinal nodded in agreement, but his hues shifted to the fleeting forms of Silent and Nuri. Another new wolf, which reminded him about the other new vix. She had appeared out of no where, though Cardinal couldn’t complain, considering the woman had helped with the bear. He’d make a note to find her later, and thank her. He smirked slightly before standing tall and trailing after Doctor, he was beginning to be annoyed by the wound. Cardinal’s hues followed the form of the male, as he waited patiently for the marigold. Another thing he hadn’t learned was how to apply any of the herbs, which might’ve helped a few times on his journey. Well, he’d make sure to pay attention when Doctor did it. It was always good to learn new things, and Cardinal was always open to learn them.

Nuri Bade
Nuri looked to Silent who took over quickly and smiled. It seemed that no one was to injured. He was watching Cardinal and Doctor and smiled at their comraderie. Then his ears flicked as Silent stepped away to address a stranger that was watching him. It was a male which made Nuri's instincts pick up and he moved his ebony mass over to Silent's side. His silent green eyes upon the unknown bru. His instincts screamed at him to step in front of Silent and shield her from potential danger, but this was her lands and she was the alphess. So he stayed quiet, casually touching her flank with his own. Showing silent support.

Doctor slowly nodded at Silent's words in quiet agreement, although he probably wouldn't hesitate to do it again if need be. His attention went back to Cardinal, who mentioned marigolds, and he smiled when the other said he'd have done the same. "I guess we'd better go to the dens like our leader says," he said with a grin. "I left some herbs near there, anyways."

He wasn't sure if any of the rest of the pack knew yet, but he had found multiple places to stash various herbs when Teagan, Aslan, and Cardinal first arrived to the pack. Doctor wasn't one to put everything in one place, in case something happened to that stock. At least in this way, the stashes were nearby, but a bit spread out. If an insect started eating at one stash, the rest would be unaffected. Of course, one drawback was that in each location, there wasn't too many multiples of each herb, meaning he'd need to travel further to retrieve others. Luckily, there weren't many injuries. His eyes narrowed in thought. Next time before the cold arrived, he'd make a larger attempt to gather more of the crucial herbs.

He stood up and walked towards the dens- even if the others were slow to arrive there, he'd be able to track those who were injured. When he got there, he kept walking. His feet guided him to where he knew he had placed some marigold along with two other herbs in the safety of a small gap in a tree- he'd remembered these as the first to be used. Although the hole was too small for owls and the like to fit, he knew other small creatures could get to them. Then again, it was nice for collecting spider webs. He spotted the marigolds, and pulled enough out a few of the flowers, checking to make sure they were indeed ok to be used. A critical eye ran over them before he concluded they were perfectly fine. Pleased, he turned around to head towards the dens again.

Cardinal glanced briefly over the other wolves, and smirked to himself. He had just helped defend the pack, and it made him feel good that he could put his strength to use. While he realized his own ways of distracting the bear were rather idiotic, he would much rather suffer some wounds to keep the others safe. Cardinal’s attention returned to Doctor, listening to the bruja. “Some marigold, I suppose. You did great; I’d have done much the same thing.” Cardinal smiled at the male, realizing he definitely would’ve done the same thing. Doctor was more concerned about the pack then himself, and Cardinal respected that, for he felt he was much the same. Cardinal flinched a bit as he gently rested his tassel at his side, glancing at it briefly. A minor wound, but Doctor was right, it’d be good to get something to keep it from being infected.

Amber eyes widened, intensifying as she watched her own packmate perform such a daring move. He was only lucky that Cardinal was busy with the mother bear and that she was very distracted. He could have been killed. She just hoped he wasn't hurt too badly, for it seemed he could not move away. But soon the mother bear went after her cubs, apparently too freaked out to let them out of her sight, and by that means they were all lucky. She almost wanted to be angry, but Doctor hadn't gotten himself hurt or killed, and he had saved them all from further injury or fatalities. She lumbered over to where her wolves were gathering, feeling the weight of her body was more than before. She glanced over each wolf to examine the extent of their injuries, and was of course relieved to see that none was serious. They could all be easily treated by Doctor or Ali.

Looking to Doctor, she gave him an approving look. "Well done," she said with a dip of her head, "I'm sure if there had been any other way to get that done, you would have done it. I just hope there are no risks like this in the future." She was truly afraid for her packmates, and her heart raced when any were in danger. It had been hard to sit still watching Doctor as he flung himself into the fray, but she had been in such shock she didn't know if moving or staying still would better help him. But everything had turned out well. However, she wanted the pack away from here, somewhere that they could all feel safer. "Please, everyone, return to the main dens," she said, her voice firm, "Any of us can be checked from there. We will scout the area later for signs of the bears." She then flicked her tail, a sign for everyone to get moving to where it was safest.

A funny feeling had been over her for a bit, and glancing from the corner of her eye she saw a strange figure perched upon the hill. Had he been watching them the whole time? Her brow furrowed, she knew she would have to investigate. The other femme was new here as well. She looked to Bright. "Follow the pack, dear," she said to the younger female, "Get to know the others, and I will see to you shortly. I have other business to attend to for the moment." She then nodded and whisked away, heading up the hill toward the dark stranger. A strange aura surrounded him, and she wondered if he was lost; he didn't seem to fit in here, but perhaps she was just assuming. She approached him in a dominant stance, her tail held proudly like a banner. She felt cautious, for reasons she could not explain - perhaps her motherly instinct was telling her to be protective of everything - and she could force only a small smile upon her face.

"Welcome to Tirisfal Valley," she said, reciting her usual greeting despite her feelings, "I am Silent Snowfall, Alphaess of this pack. Have you come to such divine lands in search of a home?" She questioned, giving him a fair chance like she did everyone else. She had to tell herself inside that she was being paranoid. It just seemed strange that he was watching them, while the other newcomer had eagerly joined in to help the pack with the bear. But perhaps not everyone was as courageous, and she could not blame him. Instead, she would wait for his answer, and allow him a chance to prove himself just like anyone else.

He glanced up, hearing the bear who had followed after her cubs. Doctor felt a twinge a guilt for not doing that earlier, but then again, it was risky, and no one had been hurt at the time. Still, if he had addicentally hurt one of the cubs, he'd probably be fighting for his life, since, although, tired, he wasn't ready to welcome death. His attention briefly turned to Nuri when he spoke, before glancing back at his paws, which were feeling more like they normally did, now that he was off his feet.

This time, he looked up at Cardinal as he approached, choosing to sit near him. "I wasn't quite expecting myself to do that. I refrained from a similar stunt, since it was risky, but...," he nodded at the still-bleading wound, "I'm sorry about that. Do you want anything for it so it won't get infected?" It doesn't look serious enough to prevent the other from doing anything, so he didn't say anything more about it.

Cardinal was panting heavily, the situation seemed like it would never end. Attack, defend, growl at the cubs, snarl at the mother. It was pointless and it was a circle, nothing was really effecting the mother’s decision to leave. His wound seeped blood and he flinched from the minor pain, he’d faced worse then a scratch and some missing fur. The scar along his nape to his lantern was proof enough, missing fur meant little to him. It was all a matter of distraction, so as to keep the bear’s hungry eyes off of their own pups. Cardinal was tiring of the fight, and his hues shifted to behind the mother. Auds perking to catch the bruja’s words, speaking with the bear. Cardinal guessed the male’s intentions, and watched as everything ended quickly. Doctor flying up the tree, the cubs, along with the wolf, falling out. The mother turning and dashing away with her children, while the wolves kept their own. It was over, and his muscles relaxed a bit. Granite fur rippled before he himself relaxed onto the ground, glancing briefly at his mild wound. Nuri’s lyrics came to him, but Cardinal said nothing. Just another scar, nothing to bother the male with. He stood and padded over to Doctor, sitting down near the male. “Bold move, well done.” He said with a smirk, lanterns glanced over the rest of the scene. Searching for the other fem who had arrived on perfect timing, and then over to Silent. No one was hurt, which was good for the type of situation.

[Finally xD Was wondering what was going to happen]

Nuri Bade
Glancing as Silent urged the cubs out he trusted that Robin would lead them to safety. He acted as a primary guard between the bear and Silent. Then she came back and he watched as Doctor made a move, at the moment he could not tell if it was brilliant or stupid but the mother bears attention was now solidly on her cups. With a roar and feinting a swipe at them she turned and nudged her cubs almost violently in the direction of safety. At once the little balls of fur scampered off into the thickets trying to get away from the big bad wolves. Mother bear paused and surveyed the scene making sure none were coming after her babies. With a final bellow she beared her teeth and turned and pursued her children, away from the party of wolves.

Letting out a sigh he turned and looked at Doctor who had collapsed. "Well done." Looking at everyone else he asked, "Is there anyone else who is injured?"

((Haha... Perhaps... This won't be a very interesting method to get her to leave but... :shrugs:
I'll still leave it open in case anyone wants the bear to maul them or something. Otherwise, I think the bear's free to go...))

Doctor didn't like the situation now. A small chunk of fur from Cardinal was missing- he'd need to get that wound looked at later on. He wasn't sure where the lead healer was currently, but it didn't look hard to fix up a remedy for.

His attention back to the bear, he growled, expressing his fusteration at the bear and the cubs that cornered themselves in the tree. Turning, he noticed a rock on the ground, he muttered more to the bear who probably wouldn't understand a word, "I'm not gonna kill 'em... if you let me do this we'll get out of each other's tangled fur." Normally, he wouldn't stoop to a method such as this, but at this point, he was ready to do anything. Sizing up the tree, he noticed that the two bear cubs weren't quite out of reach, since the tree was still young, albeit strong. The branch both cubs were on wer ejust out of reach, and he wondered why, once again, he was going to do something stupid. "Allon-sy..." he muttered, and gsathered his energy, releasing it to swiftly charge at the tree, while the mother's attention was still on Cardinal... for now.

He lept, almost spraining some paws ricochetting off the trunk. He clamped his jaws near the end of the branch, as the cubs were at least smart enough to stay near the trunk of the tree. His momentum and weight caused the branch and wobble and snap, he and the surprised bear cubs tumbling out of the tree. Quickly, he pinned his ears back in an automatic attempt to look a little bit smaller and he quickly backed away, walking backwards, keeping his eyes trained on the mother bear. He saw the mother turn on him, and kept a stern gaze straight in her eyes. To his luck, the cubs seemed to have quickly recovered from their tumble and started to scramble off away from the wolves, luckily the opposite direction of the dens. Not caring if the mother bear decided to leave him and go after her cubs or not, Doctor half collapsed- half settled himself on the ground. His paws were still tingling from the constant pressure on them the last few seconds, and it would be useless to try to fight the bear, if it attacked, if his legs really were sprained.

Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 27 Eric1
Eric topped a hill and came upon the most interesting sight. A group, maybe even a pack, of wolves. One was working up a bear, while at least two others were messing around near a log. He tilted his head and watched waiting till the fun was over before he would greet the wolves. So he waited, ready to follow if they took off deeper into these lands.

His black form was very well muscled and his midnight coat well groomed. Not one other color in his black coat but from the bleaching in the sun to dark brown. He stood tall, taller than most males because of his blood line. He had traveled far, farther than most wolves could say. He traveled from that Northern world of ice beyond the borders of human lands.

Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 27 Silentbanner

Silent watched as Cardinal continually harassed the bear, trying to get her attention focused on him. What was he up to? He must have a plan in mind, and the Alphaess prayed for his well-being. But the pups, they were taking so long, much longer than was needed. Ears flicked back, and she could still hear Robin trying to coax them out of the log so they could run to safety. She glanced back to see that no progress had been made with two of the pups. Amber eyes full of worry turned back to where the bear was. She was completely focused on the brave Cardinal, and Silent turned to slip away, toward the pups. They didn't have time to wait forever; the pack risked being injured or killed by this threat. Silent did not like to try to rush them, for she knew they were afraid, but somebody was going to get hurt if they didn't start moving now.

"Come on kids," she said softly, trying to persuade them out, "I know it's scary, but we'll all make it just fine. But we need you to come out first, and run for the dens." She knew her words could not be enough to convince either Koda or Aslan. With determination, Silent reached into the log, grabbing first at Koda's scruff and dragging the struggling, resistant pup out of the log so he could get going. "Come on," she grunted, pulling him out. He was no longer the small, docile pup he'd been only months ago, and it was difficult to move a much older pup, though he was not yet filled out. At last he was out and Silent blocked the entrance so he could not return, for she needed to get Aslan out. "Come on Aslan," she said softly, "Mom's waiting out here, we're all waiting for you, darling." Again, success was hard to come by with a frightened youth, and she had to reach in and drag the pup out as well.

Thoroughly exhausted by the time Aslan was out, Silent huffed, her pelt warm by now. She looked to Robin and Teagan. "Escort them out of here as quickly as possible," she demanded, then looked to where the pack battled the bear and her trapped cubs, "The quicker we move on, the quicker the bear will take her leave. We will have to send a party back afterwards to make sure she does not come near the area again." Then she dipped her head and dashed back toward the area of the mother bear, ready to block any sudden movements toward Koda or Aslan. She dearly hoped that Robin and Teagan would get them moving right away, since Jewel and Robbie had already made their escapes. Standing her ground, paws firmly planted, all she could do was wait..

Ooc - I've decided to move on ahead, didn't mean to powerplay or anything but we've been waiting on Kippy and her charries for quite some time. I don't like moving on without people, but I also don't like to see my pack go completely inactive.

A quick glance was given to the newcomer, as she backed him up with pushing the bear back. Hues caught a small fleeting form, and understood the sudden roar that escaped the beasts throat. A harsh snarled ripped from his own throat, and he locked orbs with the bear briefly. There was to many wolves for it to focus on just one, but Cardinal was tiring of the game. Auds perked briefly at the sound of Doctor, Cardinal growled more at the bear and gazed past it to the male. His intentions had been much the same, if he was capable of reaching the cubs then perhaps the bear would avoid the fleeting pups. It wasn’t a good idea, as far as Card could see, a wolf wasn’t meant to climb. If the male began the climb, he would have no form of escape should the bear turn on him. “Don’t do it! Let’s just try to push it back to the tree, back it out of the area!” Cardinal’s voice was slightly commanding, he had no intention of being so but it just came through. It didn’t seem that anyone else was barking commands, atleast not out of the four wolves circling the bear.

Was he prepared to take hits? Completely, if it meant the safety of his new found home. A few more scars wouldn’t hurt; it wasn’t to say he was going to be foolish. Cardinal dashed in suddenly, noticing the bear’s gaze drifting elsewhere, a deep snarl erupted from him and sharp daggers raked the bear’s maw. He knew it wasn’t likely he was going to be fast enough to dodge the bear at such a close proximity, and Cardinal yelped as he felt jaws clamp down hard on his tassel. His attempt at fleeing worked mostly, but droplets of crimson begun falling. It was a sensitive spot, and Cardinal snarled as he ripped himself free from the jaws of the beast. Snapping around, breath heavy, Cardinal locked hues once more. He knew some fur was missing, and blood dripped out of puncture marks. He didn’t let the pain show on his features other then the heavy panting, the bear was left with a nice set of lines on her own features. A shot for a shot, Cardinal dashed back to the new vixen’s side, his gaze never leaving the now completely enraged bear. It was a bold move, and perhaps quite stupid, but he got what he wanted. Her gaze rested mainly on him, and if he could keep it, perhaps he might egg her to follow him.

Jewel

Her fleet little paws found the den and she dived in, tumbling down the safe darkness of the hole. "Mama!" she cried and jumped on her mothers soft pelt. "Daddy, Robbie..BEAR..Koda....Aslan!" she turned her two toned eyes back to the mouth of the den hoping her sibilings and friend would follow. She trembled slightly the bear was a monsterous sight.

Nuri Bade
He like all the others was circling the bear, snarling and nipping at it trying to distract it. When Silent intervened his heart stopped but again the bear's attention was dragged elsewhere. Fool...she is a grown wolfess and can handle herself. Shoving down his protective instinct he continued to snarl and growl, lunge and feint at the massive creature. The rest of the pups just needed to get out of the way and it would be finished....

Robbie like his sister came out but taking more caution he waited until the bear was looking elsewhere and then sprinted, terrified out after Jewel. His big paws taking as large bounds as was possible. He even fell and rolled but the momentum of the roll put right back on his feet and he ran towards the dens yelling for his mother.

He saw the close call Jewel had, but didn't see the others appear. The bear was only agitated by their presence, but like the bear, they surely couldn't leave the young behind. Doctor looked up at the tree again. If the trunk was thick enough to support two bear cubs, it would a wolf, and there were enough branches to struggle up and grab one of the cubs... But there were many problems with that. Wolves weren't the most adept at climbing trees, so the mother's anger would cause her to quickly join the cubs up the tree and maul the wolf up there. And, would she leave one cub to chase the wolf tryign to carry the cub away? Besides, the cub might be heavy, and once again causing her to catch up quickly.

Moving towards the tree, he looked up again, his intent glittering in his eyes for those near him to see, but he didn't act upon it yet. Instead, he muttered more to himself than Cardinal and the newcomer, "Should I?" Despite being near the tree, the mother hadn't attacked yet, probably waitnig to see if he had any malicious intent towards her cubs.

Jewel was the first to come scrambling out. Such a brave daughter. "C'mon dear, that's it," he said soothingly, hoping that through encouragement, the rest of them would follow. When she came out, he said, "That's a good girl." He watched as she sprinted for the dens and the fur on the back of his neck rose - he partway wished she hadn't dashed like that, for the mother bear's eyes flashed on her, but was quickly distracted by the new femora and the rest of the pack. Robin held his calm demeanor. It would still do him no good to panic. He looked back into the log. "Let's go, kids. Let's all go by momma, and she'll keep you safe."

Crimson eyes met Teagan's. "I don't think they're going to move," he stated, hoping she had some solution. He quickly glanced over his shoulder at the bear, fur rising again. "That bear needs to get out of here, or we need to." Cardinal kept making some daring dives at the bear, and each time, it looked like he was going to get his head torn off. What valor. "This is getting ugly."

Silent watched as the pack continued to distract and harass the bear. An unknown wolfess barely avoided a nasty blow, and then Cardinal jumped in. When the bear suddenly reared up and roared, Silent glanced over her shoulder to see that Jewel was escaping, but clearly the sudden movement had caught the bear's attention and further aggrivated her. Silent moved then, throwing herself between the bear and the pup, snarling viciously up at it, barking and snapping her jaws. She could not invision the bear moving from its post where it guarded its own cubs, but she would stand in its path at any cost until all of the pups were away and safe. It was obvious to Silent that the mother bear had no clue what to do, who to attack first. They would probably all be relieved when this ordeal was over; she just hoped everyone would get away unharmed, for there was really no need. Not unless the bear came back, or gave chase.

Bright could do little more but try to be of use to whomever was giving commands. She raced to be at Cardinal's side, barking and kicking up dirt behind her, trying to keep the bear's attention. She frowned with dismay as the bear reared and looked to a fleeting pup. While its attention was diverted, Bright leapt in and nipped at its forepaw, which quickly caused it to revert its attention to its assailants. Continuing to bark, it was all they could do to keep the bear in place until each pup had been escorted to safety.

Jewel

She had felt the bear's hot breath on her backside when her father had come to her rescue. She dove for the log that the other's were hiding in and snuggled as far in as the others would allow. The bear's roaring was disturbing and Jewel closed her two tone eyes and tried not to listen. But then her father's calm voice came forth and she looked up at his face. He was telling them to come they were going to see Mama. Jewel nodded fear in her two toned eyes. She was the first to move. She didn't feel safe in the hollowed out log. Quickly she scrambled over the others and out of the log. Her hackles rose as the bear roared again angry that her pack family was harrassing her. She took a look at her father and Teagan and then sprinted to her mother's den. Seeing the fleeting movement the bear rose on her hind legs and roared.

Cardinal was prepared, his hues narrowed and locked with the bear’s. The arrival of Nuri didn’t distract the male, he was prepared to defend his new home. For a while he held the angry look of the bear, ivories bearing occasionally. He barely knew the pack, but it wouldn’t stop him from defending them. It was his new home, and he didn’t want anyone getting hurt so soon, or at all. Auds flicked briefly at Nuri’s command, but Cardinal did nothing, the others would deal with the pups. Muscles tensed, a low growl emitted from Cardinal, seeing the bear prepare to lunge. He wasn’t sure what he planned on doing once she lunged, but if it kept her away from the others, it didn’t matter. The roar reached his twin peaks, and Cardinal prepared to leap. Robin got there first, Cardinal was caught off guard briefly but he kept his stance. Watching Robin direct the bear away for a second, before she turned once more to him. Everything was happening quickly, and he spotted the stranger that had previously joined the fight, return. Hues swiveled towards the male to his side, and then at the cubs. Cardinal returned to the tree, and began snarling up at the cubs, they need to be get out of the tree. Scare them away, and mother would follow. With the vix distracting the bear, Cardinal clawed at the bark on the tree, hearing the cubs whimpering. He didn’t want them falling, but how else would he get them out. Cardinal growled, and pushed his weight against the tree, which do much but make it move a fraction.

Cardinal growled and looked past the bear, watching Robin and Teagan take the pups away. As long as they got away, perhaps then they could harass the bear enough to make her leave. Barking at the cubs wasn’t doing anything; they weren’t likely to come down to the jowls of a wolf. Cardinal darted forward, a sudden burst of speed, he came up the bear’s side and nipped her. The roar was loud in his auds, but that didn’t matter. “Back her up, towards the cubs, force them away.” Cardinal barked, coming up behind the bear and nipping her hind legs. Once more, he caught her gaze, and held it. Another stare down, one that neither of them would give up. Cardinal snarled, and the bear roared. She faced him, with her back to the tree with her cubs.

Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 27 Silentbanner

A burst of energy was lent to Nuri, it seemed, and Silent followed suit, dashing onto the scene to see what was happening. Nobody was hurt yet, but that didn't mean it couldn't happen at any given moment. She didn't have time to think before Nuri gave a command, and she nodded to herself; it was quick thinking, and an excellent idea. It was unlikely that this bear was hungry or defending territory - she was merely protecting her cubs, so she probably wasn't going to chase them if they left the immediate area. As her wolves darted in and out to harass the mother bear, Silent watched appraisingly, drawing nearer. She did not interfere, for her pack was doing well on their own, but her eyes were stretched wide and every sense on high alert. If any one of them was in trouble, the Alphaess would be there in a heartbeat to help them.

She also stood as a barrier between the bear and the cubs and those escorting them away. If the bear rushed at the fleeing wolves, Silent would not hesitate to throw herself in the middle of it. But she had a feeling that the mother was not going to leave the vicinity of her cubs, not for anything. Not even for her life. And Silent did not want to unnecessarily disturb the life that was starting within her. There would no choice and no regrets if she needed to sacrifice herself for a pack member, but she did not see the need just yet. Tensed and ready, Silent prepared herself to leap into action, whatever action was required of her...

Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 27 BrightMoonb

Bright continued barking, watching as other members of the pack surrounded the bear and began harrassing it as she was. She darted in and out in time with them, nipping at the bear's heels to agitate it and keep it on the move. Then two wolves came bursting onto the scene, and a large male gave a quick and simple command. Bright thought he must be the Alpha, for everybody set to action immediately after his word. She snorted, adrenaline coursing through her as it was the rest of them in this delicate situation. As Robin and Teagan began the process of moving the pups to a safer area, Bright joined Doctor in keeping the bear's attention. As he stopped for a moment to contemplate the situation, the small, silver wolfess did not notice, and darted in front of the bear.

Still near the tree, the mother bear noticed Bright immediately, and she yapped in its face. A heavy paw swung forth and the she-wolf narrowly missed a deathly blow to the head, barely darting out of the way in time. Still, she yelped as claws grazed her cheek, and she bounced backward. Silver eyes glanced to where the two adults were coaxing the scared whelps out of their hiding place; they must hurry, or someone was going to get seriously hurt. She glanced to the wolfess that had returned with the Alpha, wondering why she was standing so still. She seemed attentive but almost hesitant to help out.. Her heart beating harder now that she had had a close call, she hesitated to dart in again, but continued barking to distract the bear.

Doctor weaved around, almost graceful-like if one looked closely. He vaugley noticed Nuri rush in telling them to get the pups away and distract the bear while doing so. He took note of where the pups were and darted toardws the tree where the bear cubs were, but off to the side so that if the bear were to look in Doctor's direction, her back would be to the pups. This would allow himself and Cardinal to distract the bear as they were far enough from each other that the bear would actually have to turn her head.

He barked towards the bear, to make sure her attention wouldn't go to Robin, who with Teagan, was trying to get them to move. He noticed the bear hesitate briefly, looking towards him, then back to the tree with her cubs and Cardinal. He followed her gaze to the tree, and wondered if they could somehow get the bear cubs down and chase them away. This would consequently cause the bear to follow, but... it was too risky. One of them could die. He shook his head, fusturated and not wantign to voice this idea out unless he absolutely needed to.

Robin would not allow Cardinal to make such a sacrifice. Though he did not yet know the bru, he could see the honorable valiance in his stance. Crouching low for speed and bolting for the bear, Robin darted out and made a steep curve, using the build-up of momentum to launch himself onto the grizzly's back. As he expected, the bear skidded to a halt and veered to the right, directing her away from Cardinal. Robin didn't have the chance to sink his fangs into her flesh, for he went flying head over heels the moment she stopped. He rolled on the ground and sprang up, ready to fight again. But the bear was no longer focused on him - her eyes were still on Cardinal, who was closest to her cubs. "Cardinal!" Robin yelled. "Get out of there!" He had tried to distract the bear, but she was clearly set on rescuing her children from the big bad wolf. Auds swiveled and he heard Nuri's command, and he mentally slapped himself. Why hadn't he thought of that? Just get the kids to safety, and all would be well. This land was home to more than one creature.

He dashed for the fallen log, darting behind the bear's path. It would be risky getting the children from the log to the den. If the bear took her eyes off Cardinal, she'd see them all. He approached the log, meeting Teagan. "Help me take them to the dens. They'll be safest there," he asked, breathing heavily. He poked his head into the face of the log. "C'mon, kids. Teagan and I will protect you. Let's go see mama, okay?" he said softly, hoping his calm voice would shut out the raucous bear calls.

Nuri Bade
He met her alarmed gaze with his own and wasted no time and was right on her tail as they raced through the forest to the danger. Why did this have to happen? When there was supposed to be a time of celebrating!? His leg began to throb but the adrenaline drowned it out. The pups! Panic sent his feet pumping faster, pups were a treasure of the pack where all cared and loved them. As they crashed through the underbrush his nose sent signals to him. BEAR! Bursting into the scene his eyes swept through it analyzing everything in a second. Bear cubs in the tree, wolf pups in a log and the two parties facing off to protect both of them.

The pack was biting at the bear's legs, trying to harass it away. No, the mother would not leave her young behind that easily. A deep throated bark shot forth from his chest calling the attention to him. "Someone take the pups to safety! The rest distract the bear!" If they could evacuate the area they could leave the bear to take her young and exit the lands. If they continued like this it would just be a standoff until someone died. Not thinking about how he just usurped Silent's authority he leapt forward joining Doctor and Cardinal barking and snapping at the angry mother.

The bear bowed and lunged towards Cardinal roaring in her anger.
