Bhaal was amused. Sort of. Still pissed, but amused. First a femme aproached the femme that lied at the border of the area, and said something to her. Then a brute jumped the femme, and dragged her roling into the open. Then he released said something about talking, and charged her again, this time breaking her jaw. Then he turned back to the other femme, but Bhaal didn't notice, he was looking obsessively to the bleeding femme, that was crying now. His mouth turned into a wrang smile, and in his eyes bloodlust flickered like a wildfire. His claws wrenched in the cool soil, and the dark beast within was tugging at his leash. Such a weak creature, you could kill her now. His mind was echoeing with the last word.
Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill.
Without knowing, he stood up, and closed in on the femme, his massive paws thudding up dust. His crimson ivories flashed behind his maniacal grin as he aproached the femme. The beast was of the leash...

Daenerys

Dae would look up at her sister Damkira and snarl. She stood putting weight on her foot to show that the quills, though they hurt, were not a weakness. Her tail curled high over her back and was about to part her lips in a reply when Killian came out of nowhere and tackled their sister.

Her blue eyes went wide and she heard Damkira's protests. Secretly she was smug. Damkira had picked on Killian for so long and now he was giving her tenfold of what she had done to him over the last year. His words were music to her ears and she flicked her tail haughtily. She had always protected Killian before and now here he was protecting her from Damkira. She loved her brother.

At the snap though her eyes went wide. She would have never thought Killian would have gone that far as to snap Damkira's jaw. As Killian approached she was already on her feet. "Nothing to say Damkira?" she whispered at her sister and snorted flicking her tail. She would turn and nose her brother's shoulder and head toward the water. He sure had changed.

Her eyes cast a subtle glance around the densite. Mother would be cross with Killian....or would she? Survival of the fittest after all and none of her pups could show weakness. Her eyes spied the dark wolf who was injured and she swiveled her ear toward him but then would pull her emerald eyes from his form and nudge her brother in thanks. Motion would catch her eye next as the black bru would stand and move toward her injured sister. She paused and watched.

"Bhaal, what are you doing?" Kiaki half snarled, half whispered. Her head had raised as she heard the sudden disturbance, and then she saw Bhaal approaching the injured femme in the centre of the ring. She didn't want any attention brought upon them, yet she was unsure as to whether Bhaal was intending to help or harm the wolf. Bhaal's eyes were fixed ahead of him, his claws rising the dirt with each step. This wasn't a friendly gesture. Kiaki stood up, quivering and looking around at the pack members, most of which were grinning maliciously at the scene. If she got herself involved, she could be asking for a lot of trouble. Although she had spent the last while traveling with Bhaal, she still didn't know who he was, and what he was capable of doing.

Deciding that bravery was needed, although it may be a ridiculously stupid move, she darted towards the injured femme, standing between her and Bhaal. She becam suddenly apparent of how small she was, and how vast the mass of the black wolf. Bad idea. Bhaal's eyes were blood-thirtsy, and with one move he could wipe Kiaki off her paws with very little effort. No way did Kiaki want to fight Bhaal, as she wouldn't stand half a chance. She took a tiny step back, looking directly at whom she called her friend. Sometimes you must save others in order to proclaim your thoughts of selfishness, and visa-versa. "Bhaal, you can't. She... she is someone else's kill." Kiaki lowered her head. Never before had she said anything so harsh. "I don't want to cause trouble, and this could be the start of major conflict. Please Bhaal, I just want to leave!" It was true that she didn't want the other canids to fight her and Bhaal. Bhaal was in no fit state to battle, and Kiaki hadn't the size nor strength. She wanted the life of the femme to be spared, but that wasn't her place to state such a wish. However, having Bhaal turn back might just be enough for them to leave this place in relative safety. She was aware of the other wolves looking upon Bhaal and his malicious change of nature, but his decision could cost them both their lives.

The crimson darkness that stained Bhaal's mind was only shortly pierced by the light of Kiaki's voice. Shortly, the darkness clouded him again, and Bhaal started to move again. Where for some moments he had been aware that some where looking, but soon he found his vission being dimmed in a red haze, and all started to fade, except the injured fea a few more metres away. His massive form took no further note of Kiaki, and merely walked past her, probably trampling her if she wouldn't dart away. His dark mind toyed with the words Kiaki had thrown at him. The pain in his leg, the refuse of aid or hospitality, the others, it all didn't really mattered, he felt like that bloody day long ago.

As a black wolf, he had always standed away of the rest of the pack, them being pure white, just as arctic wolves needed to be. It had made him the outcast, even the omega stood above him. The other youngsters couldn't pick on him for his immense size, but one o,ce made the fatal mistake to do it, and it had costed him and several other pack members their lives. Of all the wolves in the pack, there was onlyone that didn't detested him. His younger brother, Congen, the one who was destined to be the next Alpha, after their father. He was everything Bhaal wasn't, and more. It was Congen who had dragged him through his child years.

And it was Congen that made him wake up from his dark dream. Or to be more precise, the fact that he was just a mile or two away, looking for his ... friend. Bhaal froze in his tracks. He looked down on a femme in front of him, and realized he had been about to kill her, and then realized the painfull situation he had brought them in. "Now worries Kiaki, I'm just going to check on the food." And then he altered his course towards the spot where the dogs and that other wolf where waiting with deer meat. He hoped he could lead the attention of him by trying to get some food.

As Bhaal continued forward, Kiaki lept aside. Of course she couldn't take him, and she'd rather not be stepped on. But then Bhaal spoke, and changed his course. Kiaki's head tilted, her eyes wide. He was one of the most confusing bru's she had met, and wasn't sure if this was some change in him, or him reverting back to a former self. Kiaki stepped back, away from the injured femme on the ground. She couldn't help, although she longed to. She had no place and no right in this pack. Watching Bhaal walk to the meat, her stomach growled again. She flinched, not wanting to show her hunger. She had other things on her mind. Slowly, she turned to walk back to where she had perviously been lying, many questions circling in her mind. Her head was bowed, not looking at the other wolves. She was submissive, despite her trying to stop Bhaal. She was like a pup to them. It was true, she did want to leave, but that might mean loneliness once more.

Stark tilted his head, able to see what was going on with the youngsters. Sometimes it was surprising to see how their personalities could be so different, especially considering who their mother was. They were children, but it was safer not to stop them when they fought amongst themselves. That was for Akira to deal with. Besides, if she didn't will this, she'd punish them.

He turned his attention to a fresh pair, one of whom was advancing towards the injured daughter, left behind. Deciding to wait a short while, he noticed the smaller of the two stopping the other. It was clear he eventually snapped out of whatever intents he had and approached the kill. Waiting until they came closer, he commented, "Did you really not know whose whelps they are? If I were rankless, I wouldn't touch them. Akira will slaughter you and then punish her whelp herself if they even had done wrong." He was visibly relaxed. Size didn't matter to him, even the midnight wolves didn't bother him, so why would this wolf? This really was advice, but it may have left a slight mocking impression depending on how one percieved it to be. This would be a nice test of the brute's mindset. What the wolf did would give him insight to the type of wolf he was.

Bhaal first reaction would have been to crush that brutal dog, but the bravery and the ease of the dog suprised him. "Are you looking for trouble, I am still in the mood to kill." he whispered. The dark beast within still had some control. He showed his crimson ivories, and then he laughed. "Just joking." he managed to slip trough his laughter . He laughed just as hard as when he had send Congen flying. "What a pack! First, my brother happens to be here, then it looks like the children of Akira are quite heavily concurrating for the throne, and to finish it, a dog gives me advice." He chuckled "Not meant personally though, I have nothing against dogs, sometimes I prefer their taste over wolves." He said, his smile still as wide. Then he looked at the food. "Mind if you share some of your kill, or is it pack members only?" he continued, his smile fading away, only a haze of amusement in his eyes betraying his fun at this. He glared at the blood runnig of the meat, and licked his lips.

Stark smirked and said, "Not deliberately lookin' for trouble. You're just interpreting." Looking around, he said, "Tha's not up to me, but go ahead. If the others wanted to eat, they'd have been here by now, and it's not like there's only one deer. Besides, if ya did decide you wanted to kill me, I wouldn't have any fun if you collapsed from hunger right before the killing stroke." In his entertainment, he didn't hold as tight a grip on his accent and let more of his western-like accent slip than normal.

Looking back at Bhaal, he said, "I'm sure the only dogs you may have eaten were the weak, tame ones, ruined by them two-leggers. It's a good thing you don't have anything against the dogs like us. I'd have to teach ya a thing or two. We can be as sane... or mad as any other wolf. I'm sure this dog is smarter than many wolves in the nearby packs." He glanced at Julien from the corner of his eye, wondering why it was only now the fun ones come out. "Name's Stark, if ya wanted to know."

Julien's ear flicked back at the sound of nearby snarls. He raised a brow, looking over his shoulder to find Akira's children in a bit of mess, but it was solved in a few mere seconds. Whatever it was, he wasn't going to bother with it. It really wasn't any of his business. He could only smirk as the big bad wolf named Bhaal approached them, probably meaning to take care of the issue, when his little friend stepped up. And then Stark stepped in when Bhaal came towards the deer they had brought in; oh, he was really beginning to like Stark, he had quite a mouth on him.

"If Akira hasn't given you or friend here any aid, what makes you think she's going to allow you to eat her pack's meat?" Julien cut in, blue eyes flickering. Bhaal didn't scare him, not in the slightest. He was just another wolf that wanted blood, one way or another; they didn't have any brains. "You oughta think before you act." Of course, Julien had to add his own two sense. It was the only way he ever really got his point across.

Somewhat annoyed that even the most simplistic of wolves could not follow directions, he glanced over at Akira's whelps. He noticed in particular the one young female he had seen before, the one at Ludo's side. She had quills in her leg, but it looked as if her brother was already taking care of the issue. And the other female whelp now had a fractured jaw. Wonderful, Akira probably couldn't wait to come back to this mess. Oh, he was glad he wasn't the pack leader.

His eyes spied the timid female wolf that had come with Bhaal. She may as well have been his shadow. "Well, aren't you a quiet one?" Julien snickered at her, his voice low. "Got a name, pretty miss? If you say that you're the mate of that big bad wolf over there, I'm going to tear my ears off." He was sarcastic, but conversational. He was really just curious about where she came from. She didn't look like she belonged in lands like these, but appearances weren't everything.

Bhaal was still chuckling a little, but when Julien sprang in and commented on is actions his smile faded from his lips, and a iritated look showed up. "Well, the name is Bhaal, and from my point of view, dogs and wolfs are somehow the same, and yes, your right if you say that your smarter then most wolves, I think your right, you should have a talk with my brother." He then turned his head to see Julien passing to Kiaki. He waited to see if he was a threat for her, but he appearabtly wasn't and so he just set of to the kill. He waited there, watching to see if Julien realized he had almost completly ignored him. "Anyway, as soon as possible, I am out of here. This land and it's wolves are tiresome, and I got better things to do." he spoke out to Stark, laying an intonation on "wolves". He yawned. he turned his head back to where Julien was, and watched.

Kiaki's eyes opened wide as another bru of the pack approached her, but she remained still, no matter how much she wanted to step back form this wolf. "Kiaki" Her voice finally shook, so she tried again, more confidently. "I have no mate." She glanced at Bhaal, whom she gathered now was quite known in this place. "I was traveling with Bhaal until we came here seeking aid, but we shall be leaving tomorrow." She hoped. Although it seemed that Bhaal had managed to grab the nourishment he needed, she doubted that she could get away with taking meat also. She could live until the morning, although hunting would be harder on such an empty stomach. The bru she spoke to was intimidating, but didn't seem as cruel as some of the others. Perhaps not everyone here was as evil as portrayed, although none of them wholly good.

Congen entered the dark woods, and immediatly slowed his neckbreaking sprint to a low, but quick pace. He didn't wanted to get caught in one of the twisted roots that sprayed around. Nor would he want to look like an intruder. Theoretically, he was allowed to be here. And that he would tell any upstart pack wolf that tried to stop him. He was already a little upset by Mynx' odd behavior, and wanted to solve this as quick as possible. He closed the main area, but remained out of it, standing at it's border. He was gazing at the heap of wolf that lied in the middle, crying and bleeding. Bhaal? He just hoped that this wasn't his work, but when he saw his brother standing further away, with his back to him, and some of the wolves hgathered here staring at him, he feared for the worst. If Akira knew this... But when he saw the companion of Bhaal lying someplace near the border, he got an idea. If he wanted to drag Bhaal out of this alive, he would need to know how thing's where going. So, he setted of for Kiaki first, supressing a snarl when another brute reached her first. Darn, a pack wolf. He had to act quickly, and his cunning mind came up with plan. His ghostly formed slipped out of the shadows, and closed in on them.

Out of the corner of his eye, Julien spied Bhaal headed for the meat he, Stark, and Penilla had brought in. None of the pack members had had their share yet, and neither had Akira. The dark brute was so large, he could probably eat the whole damn deer himself. What a waste. By now, he was half-hoping that Dracul or Winter would come charging out of the forest and tackle him for stealing their share. Then again, it was first come, first serve, sometimes. Who knew. Akira wouldn't be pleased with anything when she came back, anyways.

Julien raised a brow at the fae before him, as shaky as tree limb in a windstorm. He really couldn't understand why; he was nowhere near as "terrifying" as the other wolves around them. Hell, he wasn't even a fighter. "If there's anyone you should be scared of it's him," he said, referring to Bhaal. Yes, he was aware that they were traveling together, but to him, that didn't make a difference. "Let him get hungry or bloodthirsty enough, and he'd probably eat you alive. Personally, I think you're much too pretty for that sort of thing, but not many care for beauty these days."

Auds and nose twitched, sensing another's presence. Julien's blue eyes glanced up at the forest around them, shadows weaving between the trees. The scent was familiar... It scented like one of the brus that had been there before, and had a similar odor to Bhaal. Wonderful, they were probably of the same kin, and fighting over who-gave-a-damn. He looked at Kiaki again, not wanting to get involved in this mess of a mess. "Well, nice to meet you, I guess," he shrugged, hoping that things couldn't have been cut so short, but oh well. "Don't get eaten by the big bad wolf," he said, blue eyes flashing with their signature mischief. The phrase was said in jest, but it wasn't a bad piece of advice... No, not at all...

He then left her with that wolf walking between the shadows, the one that had been there earlier. Bhaal's brother or whatever. He never did understand why wolves felt that they had to bring their business everywhere with them. He had no problem leaving his behind, why did they? He snorted, a smirk curling on his black leathers. "Where are you now, Leto?" he chuckled under his breath. "Telling wolves that they are the kings and queens of promise?"

Julien's timber legs brought him over to where Penilla was. He sat down next to her. He didn't know why he was feeling so conversational lately. Over in Hamara, where he had been before, the only one he had really talked to was a fae named Dyrim. Hmm. Then again, they weren't as interesting as all of these wolves. He looked to the canine beside him. "Enjoying the show?" he asked, tilting his head at the scene with Bhaal and Stark. He was really rather curious as to how all of this would turn out...

Russet auds flicked forward as he entered the place he called home. He had been patrolling and patrolling on behest of his queen and now would stroll into home seeing many a new faces. His lip lifted in a silent snarl catching all the new scents. Were they packmates or just visitors? His orange orbs searched the clearing for any sign of the queen and the first thing he layed eyes on was Damkira....she had fallen and was hurt. He growled and wondered who would have dared to do such a thing.

His massive form moved silently as he moved along and his tail would flick as he sided her and looked about the place for the culprit. Her jaw was dangling oddly. Who would have dared? Orange eyes narrowed and he looked upon the strangers. He didn't know who was allowed and who wasn't as he had been gone. He would need to seek out the queen.

"Lay here Damkira. I will fetch your mother." He said and gave her a winning smile though his heart was hard against whomever would hurt the pup. She wasn't really a pup anylonger but to Sawyer they always would be. His massive mits would move toward Akira and he would give a bark alerting the queen.

He tilted his head, having glanced at Kaiki briefly when Bhaal had. "Oh? Is your brother your opposite and dislike dogs?" Bhaal had said he'd leave as soon as possible, which mean he was waiting for something. "Are you still here, then 'cuz of ya brother...?" He hadn't been present to see the brothers when they first arrived. "Hmmm... tiresome... to each his own, eh, but I'm sure that in a way, everyone has something better to do. I quite like it here, myself... other than a few insignificant things. Besides, what I really want to do doesn't seem worth the effort, so it's better I don' bother. It was pretty fun here a while ago, though, so I'm sure something new will come up eventually."

Pin looked at Julien as he approached, apparently finished talking with Kaiki. "It's not much of a show right now, but it might if he reacts badly to Stark," she replied, the "he" referring to Bhaal. "My cousin has a way of... leaving some things he say unclear if he meant them positively or negatively. He claims that it's up to the wolf how he meant it. He gets into quite a bit of trouble that way. He's violent, but he's restrained. When I ask, all he tells me is that it's because just killing someone's too boring no matter how it's done, and there's more fun ways to unleash violent urges." Smiling, she added, "But just so you know, he won't do anything to you. You're the first wolf in a while to catch his social attention."

Bhaal & Congen

"Nah, I think you two would come along perfectly, he likes wolves, and dogs, that think about life in an other way then the mainstream." He smirked, and his smile came a little higher when his brother entered the fray. "If you speak of the devil himself, there he is." He said to stark, while gesturing with his head at the white bru. Bhaal got up, and stretched his legs, and walked over to his brother. He wanted to leave. Sadly though, they would miss Akira's show. Bummer.

Congen closed in on Kiaki, and spoke to her with a lwo voice. "Your Bhaal's... friend, aren't you." WAs she his friend, or was she his "friend"? Congen didn't knew. Yet. He would ask his brother later. This was not a place for friends and such, you got to know on who you could trust. "I am Congen, Bhaals brother. Did he do...that?" he said, while pointing his nose to the heap of wolf. If he did, they were in trouble, you couldn't just attack a pack wolf in a pack land, without getting punished. He knew that their only chance was an escape, because Akira wasn't a talker, but a killer. Not that he feared her. Much. Okay,a little. He feared more the power she had over her pack then the old femme herself, but if they could get back to the oasis in time and alive, they could force their way out an pursuit. Not that wanted to fight these wolves, he hold no quarrel against them. But own blood came before theirs, so if they attacked Bhaal, they attacked him. He sighed, and hoped Bhaal wasn't responsible for this. For once.

Kiaki flinched as the wolf spoke of Bhaal in such harsh tones. It was true, she knew very little of him, but what she had witnessed as they travelled together was not a bloodthirsty killer. However, that look in his eyes as he approached the injured fae was a look that Kiaki had never seen in him before. This worried her, but she stayed silent until the wolf left. Perhaps he knew more about Bhaal than she did, yet it still concerned her that Bhaal had earned such a reputation in this land.

For a second time, she jumped as the same white wolf as before approached her. She nodded slowly as he spoke her name, also confirming their friendship, not lowering her orbs from his. But once he questioned Bhaal's actions, she shook her head. "No." She spoke to Congen. "He didn't hurt the femme. But..." her voice trailed off. She was still slightly haunted by that look in his eye, and what the previous bru had said. Was Bhaal as dark as the rest of these wolves? He did alter his course once she pleaded, so perhaps she had triggered a softer side to him. He had helped her on more than one occasion in the Lone Lands. She had to admit, Bhaal looked like a dark wolf with his black pelt and large size. "I don't wish to jeopardize my safe leave, but I fear that something will happen to provoke trouble." Congen seemed kind and somewhat caring, most definitely towards his brother, but this was just first impressions. Kiaki lowered her head, her eyes still on the white wolf.

"No worries... Kiaki was it, wasn't it not?" He looked to his aproaching brother, and noticed the brute that passed near the injured femme, dissapearing into the woods, probably to go and fetch Akira. They had to leave now, but not in such a hurry as if Bhaal had wreaked that carnage. "It's time to leave, get on your feet." he said, his voice still low. He smiled at her, such a fragile being. He didn't really espected such a wolf in Bhaal's companionship. Or had Bhaal gone soft? He didn't knew, but he would find out soon enough. His brother closed, and Congen spoke to him, his voice sharp, to urge him. "Bhaal, we got to go."

Bhaal wasn't suprised at the harshness of Congen's voice, it was his ussual tone whe he commanded him. Altough Bhaal was the strongest, and oldest, he knew Congen would win out a fight eventually. Congen was also the brain of them two, always able to play sides against each other, holding up facades, and running a pack. "Yes brother"

Kiaki nodded, confirming her name and raising from the ground. When Bhaal stepped towards the two, Kiaki looked down. So little she knew about him. Although she was relatively safe, perhaps it was more of a risk, travelling with him than she had previously anticipated. Yes he had helped her. She did, however, feel safer that his brother would be accompanying them, and when Congen smiled at her, she looked up. So he was nice. She didn't want to prejudge yet again, but following him would be a safer idea, despite the fact that she was to leave anyway. She smiled back, raising her ears and standing stronger. "Where can we go once we leave?"

Bhaal raised an eyebrow while looking to Congen, but Congen merely shrugged, to both. "I don't really know, it will depend on Mynx, a friend of mine who's waiting at an oasis not far from here." He looked up to his brother and nodded. Bhaal nodded back, and walked past them, already venturing out. Kiaki would go in the middle, and Congen would watch the rear for any suprisals. "Okay, stick close with Bhaal, he'll lead, I wll be right behind you." He continued, and then he looked back to the open area, and counted the number of wolves (and possibly dogs) they could get behind them. He waited for Kiaki to get behind Bhaal, and then they would discretely retreat from the woods and mountians of Muerta. He sighed. He had liked his short stay, it was so exiting, sad they couldn't wait for the upcoming show. But he didn't wanted to temper Mynx any further.he didn't really knew what was with her. Maybe she was jsut in her cycle. And for some reason, that made him smile.

"Mynx?" Kiaki asked as she stepped behind Bhaal to follow him. She felt safe between the two males, and happy to be leaving a place she felt so insecure. So little of this land she knew, and timid though she was, she wasn't all that cautious with who she met or where she travelled. She trusted that Congen knew the way, although Bhaal was leading. Her stomach growled again and her imagination strayed to an oasis where meat was waiting for her, or else she could freely hunt and finally eat. She smiled to herself and her thoughts came back to where she was now. She looked at Bhaal.

"Yes, a friend of mine, she kinda... saved me from death." He looked to his brother ahead. Bhaal didn't seemed to be so heavily injured that it slowed him down. It wasn't too serious, just a new scar, one to add to the many Bhaal already possesed. They where advancing steadily, and already where closing on the border. He supressed the urge to run, as he felt his back was facing a snake. There was some danger behind them, maybe not directed at them, but it was there anyway. He shrugged, it just was the atmosphere that Muerta posssesed. "When we are in the desert, it's just a small mile, and then we come across a small oasis, that's our destination tonight. " Bhaal slowed down, and came walking next to his brother. "And where do we go then?" Congen shook his hed. "I don't know, really, it will mostly depend on Mynx." Bhaal nodded, and then whispered "Femmes..." It made both of them chuckle. "Yes, your probably right. How were you doing the last years?" Bhaal turned his head. "Ow, you know, just wandering around in the lone lands, not much special. But tell me, were's your pack?" Congen sighed. "well, what's left of them are some traitors and well, that's it." "Hows that happened?" "You knew Dominance, right?" "Yeah that frigin' bru that felt himself better then eveyone." "Well, I knew that he tried to usurp me, but didn't saw coming he had so much followers." "Who?" Congen thought. "Well, I surely remember some, not all, well, Aquill, Tehoran was also against me, but he got much support from that bitch of a Laissira." "The one who's cubs you cast out?" "Yeah, that one, and then you still got Damnation, Icecold and some others." "And who where with you?" "Ah, Ruin, you remember him right?" "Yes, it was the only one that came close to my size in the pack, a nice fellow." "Yeah, and loyal, he sacrifaced himself so I could get away, but he took Damnation and Aquill with him." Bhaal nodded, they would talk more about this later. Soon, they where finding themselves leaving the lands of Muerta.

Kiaki listened to the brothers converse. When Bhaal muttered 'femmes', she turned to look at him. So Congen once had a pack. As they listed off names, she tried to catch ones she recognized, but to no avail. It had been so long ago since she had heard such a name that she was looking for, and she was unsure as to whether she would ever hear it again. That name and that face were the only things she remembered about her past. Hopefully she'd remember again one day. She looked back at the remaining canids left in their wake. They were leaving, and soon they would be in the Lone Lands again.

"Huh," Julien said, mildly surprised. "Guess that's a good thing, huh? He doesn't seem like most of the others here, all ready to snap when someone speaks to them the wrong way... Same with you. Say, what brought you here? Not often you find a pair of dogs among wolves." He spoke while continuing to watch Stark and Bhaal interact. The wolf he had spotted near the trees earlier came down to Kiaki, they talked, and then the next thing he knew, the trio of them were running off into the forest, as if nothing had ever happened. He raised a brow, hearing one of Akira's packmates bark for her in the distance. He wondered how this would pan out, and who would be to blame. He didn't want to get a piece of meat just yet and end up on the bloody side of Akira's paw, and he was enjoying himself just talking to Penilla.

Penilla laughed and replied, "Yeah, Stark likes being the unique one. He doesn't snap because, according to what he taught me, was that lashing out in pure rage blocks everything else, and it's better to stay sharp, not grow dull, even for a moment. I don't know if any wolf comes up with such thoughts, but they've all kept them alive this long despite his choice of lifestyle."

Pausing for a second, she continued, "Before arriving here, Stark spent his time trying to train me to be independent. Most of the reason why we're here is to... stay alive." She was interrupted before she could explain in more detail.

Stark watched as a white wolf, clearly Bhaal's brother, leave with the small fae. "Hmm... weird little fella's, ain't they?" he said to himself. Turning to see where Pin had gone off to, he noticed her speaking with Julien. Catching her last sentence, he said, "What better way to keep what we learn sharp than ta live with the very beings who dislike us? Danger everywhere, keeps the skills active an' in use. I want what's best for my cousin, and tha's ta keep 'er alive."

Mercy had been trailing after her bigger brother Odin and had been staring at his back feet as they walked and walked into him suddenly. Odin stopped and glanced around his ear flicking. His milky eye trained on his sisters and he frowned. "Where is Dae?" Mercy was surprised at...well...any inflection in her brothers voice and was momentarily was stunned before she answered. "I-I don't know I wasn't paying attention." She glanced at Damkira who, as always had a sneer on her face and Mercy followed her line of vision to the sight of their sister lying down with something stuck in her. What were those things?! And next thing she knew Damkira and Killian were fighting and her fur was standing on end unsure of what to do. Then Damkira was in a heap there was something wrong with her jaw.

"Killian!" Her ears pinned to her skull she ducked down low. "Killian...what..what did you do..no Mother is going to be angry again..." She was panicked and she backed off into the woods a little bit but just to stay in the shadows. She looked at the broken doll of Damkira and she was frightened. Was she dead? What did Killian do? Then there was a HUGE brute advancing upon her. Mercy had never seen him before and he looked MEAN. A shrill yip broke from her maw but she was quickly silenced by a sharp bark by Odin. "Quiet Mercy, he will stop." And just like that she believed her brother. It was not just because it was her brother speaking but it was how he said it. Everything Odin said was true especially when he spoke about another's actions. And he did stop just as he said.

Odin grunted and stepped away pausing to sniff Dae's wounds. They were superficial. And then he moved on, always alone.

Ears perked up as a sharp bark alerted her to something urgent. It was Sawyer...she had not heard from the bru in sometime..Still duty called and she knew the brute well enough to know he would not call idly. Stepping towards his call she traveled along the well worn paths in her forest. She could navigate these trees with her eyes closed. The cool mist of the mountains reached down and caressed her in a comforting way. Soon one of her children would claim these lands. She had not accomplished everything she had set out to do but she was not dead yet. Seeing the large form of Sawyer her tassle flicked in favor. "Why do you beckon?"

Damkira was in slight shock, and as the brute advanced towards her and Dae, choosing either or she watched Killian stand taller, but as soon as the brute came towards them he left in another direction. Had they all seen what had just happened? Her own brother attempted to... what, kill her? She knew her attitude would get her in trouble some day but today... it was then that Mercy's voice broke out and she began to cry herself. Mercy backed away... Dam was hurt but they all left her in the open, it was cold here, and her face hurt, her back hurt from Killian's teeth piercing the skin, and Sawyer's words of getting her mother stung, she couldn't defend herself against the sickly brother then what was she? Tears began to roll when she tried to say something to him but she was mute to the fact that her jaw wasn't working now. It felt like... like it needed to pop, she wanted nothing more then to place it back and rip into her brother's hide just like he had to her.

Killian was watching as everyone came and went, though when finally Sawyer came and left to get their mother he looked at Damkira and snorted. "Serves you right..." he growled and turned again looking at Dae. "You had nothing to do with this, got it, she can't speak for herself, none of you had anything to do with this, got it Mercy. If anyone will catch mother's wrath it'll be me, don't defend me, cause then you'll get a beating too" He felt so grown up right now, so protective. He licked Dae's head and walked over to Mercy licking hers too. "It'll be okay. I promise, now, go with Odin, or stay in the thickest of the brush, watch and learn sister... cause one day you may snap" he doubted it, he loved his sister and she was the sweetest of them all, he used to be the weakest...not anymore.
