| Cinder again smiled at Rodion's cordial ways. He seemed very soft yet very dominant at the same time. It was soothing, his low tones and comforting words. His words then rang in her ears "Look at me." and the three words sent her back to a time long ago and a streak of fear coursed through her veins. She hadn't heard those words for a long time and every time she had they had brought her harm. She swallowed and tried to force the nightmares away. She wasn't there...this was her home....he cannot hurt you anymore Cinder. She closed her eyes for a long second and tried to control her breathing which had quickened at his words. One breath, two...she was back to normal and looked up to meet Rodion's eyes. His words came to her and they were kind. Pain did not come in the form of sharp fangs or harsh words and she relaxed. She licked her lips and parted her maw. "I will try Rodion." she said her voice barely above a whisper. Then she swallowed again and the words came stronger "I will try." She felt drained from the fear yet she felt comforted by Rodion's words. She took at deep breath and again she looked to Link he had finally put Zelda down and lay beside her. They seemed far enough away for quiet but Cinder could still see their forms. She hoped Zelda would stir soon. A longing pained in her heart once more. The want for closeness, for touch, for soft words. She sighed deeply and turned her silver gaze away from Link's form to Rodion. She smiled at the bru who seemed so confident and relaxed and then her gaze caught Exodus again. "Rodion, I feel I must go and see to my friend. Would you accompany like to accompany me? She is new to the lands and from dark roots such as myself. I feel she needs a better welcome than she recieved." Cinder said the emotion in her words showing she had been less welcome in her past also. She stood, took one another look at Link and awaited Rodion's words, knowing he would proably come because he seemed so kind. | |

| Cinder's tone would normally have made him frown, but her worry and unassuredness just caused him smile all the more. Rodion tipped his head down to her. "As I believed, it is a pleasure to meet you, Cinder." He kept his voice low, finding it unnecessary to speak an louder. He listened intently to her short soliloquy, assuming that this Evon was the one who took Link's voice, and took special note that the name in itself bothered the small fae. "Do you think she will be alright?" The question echoed in his head. A nod before his spoken answer. "There is no doubt in my mind that Zelda will be fine," he said reassuringly, "She is resilient and confident. I have every bit of faith that she will make a full recovery." Cinder was so unsure of herself... He had a feeling that she was like this quite often. Without hesitation, he pressed the top of his muzzle to her bottom jaw in a friendly, comforting nuzzle, and pulled back to speak yet again. "You should not have to worry at all, Cinder. It is neither your job nor anyone else's." He noticed her attention flicking back to Link. "Look at me," he said with a quiet authority, "Everything happens for a reason, whether we like it or not. Life is just the name we have for the way we have to work around fate. It's in our nature to worry, I understand that. I often worry myself. But you can't let it consume you. The same will happen to you that happened to Zelda. I don't want to see that again. Humor me with one favor if you will." His optics fixed on hers, sending a clear message that every word he meant was carefully chosen and full of good intention. "Cease your worrying. There are many of us here to put both Zelda and your packmates in good hands. There is no need to be so aggrieved when you have such wolves of quality around you. Do not worry anymore."He could not have stressed the last four words anymore. He had practically given Cinder a full speech, though he barely knew her. He had a strong feeling that she fretted like this far too often, and was going to do everything in his power to make sure that she didn't continue. He drew the strength from his father's few, brief, but desperately meaningful lessons. He learned how to truly speak with wolves, and this wolfess was no exception to his skill. He saw great hope in her, despite her fears and misgivings, though. His smile, wise beyond its years, lent itself to her, though his gaze still held its dominant overtones. So far he had met three whose burdens he was more than willing to bear, and a fourth whom he had yet to speak with, but had every intention of meeting with her still. She seemed to be silently adamant about something. He had seen another fae as well, from the corner of his eye, leaving the lands. He would leave it alone. It was none of his business if whoever she was wanted to leave. He left his attention to Cinder, however, refusing to leave her side while they still had conversation. She seemed to trust him well enough now; he couldn't help but wonder how she would react to his manner of speech toward her. He cared deeply for any friend of his. It was just his way. | |

| Cinder
Cinder's silver gaze fell upon Rodion as he spoke and she smiled at his modesty and then felt slightly embarrassed at his plain words of her "condition." Rodion did not know the confession of a wolf named Legend not long ago. She was worried that he would catch her scent and come to her. She glanced to the floor and then back up again when he asked her name. His way with words was kind and she tried to shake off her embarrassment. "Forgive me, My name is Cinder." She said softly and then parted her lips once more. "Things here have been hard since Moon's death and even harder since Evon." Auds lay flat against her skull at the mention of her name. Deceiving B.itch. "It was a bad, bad time. That is when Link lost his voice." She paused and wanted to add ...and it is all my fault... but she let the words lie unspoken. Link would have her hide if she ever said them again. She knew they didn't blame her but she still felt some resposiblity for the whole thing including Lacuna's death.
She looked in Link's direction and wanted to go aid him, nothing if not to be closer to his side. She yearned for that now. "Poor Zelda." she said. "Rodion, do you think she will be alright? " Cinder couldn't help but think she helped bring this upon Zelda's shoulders too. She was the one who had a dark wolf in tow with her when she arrived and Cinder herself vouched for Exodus personally. That was when Wyn got angry. Cinder looked about just then. Where was Wyn? She sighed. She probably just went off to cool her anger. Her gaze fell on Exodus once more and she felt bad about the whole situation. She looked back at Rodion worry written on her face for Zelda, for Exodus. "I wish I knew what to do." she said softly. She didn't know why she said it in front of Rodion. Usually she spilled her insecurities to Link but Rodion's presence was a calm comfort and she felt he knew what he was doing. Again her silver gaze flicked to Link's figure with Zelda limp on his back.

| Listening to Zelda, hearing her story, empathetic pain knifed through her once more, and she shut her eyes. So much pain. Why was it that the dark always tried the light so? Could they not stay to their own boundaries, and let those who wanted peace be? That was the nature of evil, though.... without pain, there would be no such thing.
Eirwyn did not even notice the strange male's approach until she saw Zelda's reaction. It was only when she heard the change in tone in Zelda's voice that she opened her eyes once more, and took in the reaction that Zelda was having. Wyn's stomach twisted as she saw how distressed her friend was, and took a step forward, but then stopped. Why hadn't she kept her mouth shut? Why did she have to pour her own troubles on Zelda, when she obviously had so much on her plate already. She had had no way of knowing, but still... it wasn't right, giving her more to bear. She should have held her tongue and accepted the older, obviously wiser fem at her word. It was definitally not her place to speak up. She did not trust Exodus and Legend, never would, but she did not need to make it known in such a blatant way.
She had faded into the background, and none around her even noticed her presence. Tears still streaked her muzzle, and she raised a paw, trying to dry them. She whirled around and started off in the opposite direction from the others. Zelda was in good hands, obviously, and her presence obviously only caused turmoil at the moment. She needed to get away, only for a little while, and get herself under control once more.
It had been bouncing around for a while, this idea of hers. Looking back, she flicked her tail, mind set. She would be back within a week, at least. Hopefully they would not worry.
Breaking into a run, she crossed the border, heading off across the lone lands towards the distant sun. Stopping, she looked back briefly, then set her paws southwest, following the direction in which her sister had gone months ago. She knew where she was, much as she wanted to deny it. She needed closure, and something told her that Sogn was seeking the same thing.

| The fem from dark lands looked towards Cinder as she again showed a soft sign of friendship. Exodus felt like a prude because she didn't return any sign back, she mearly just stayed in the back and let her body hit the ground in a thump. She sighed and watched them all. Her eyes fell on each and every wolf. Lastly they landed on Cinder and the new bru who also knew Zelda and Link. She only knew them shortly though, and it was actually kinda pathetic of her. She sighed and let her eyes drift to the other side of them. She didn't want to look at the rest of them anymore. Her thoughts drifted to Jaded and she felt hre mother's presence here even if she wasn't. She hoped her father would speak with her soon, cause she knew how it felt to be left out...specially knew how it felt now. She didn't belong here... She felt she did, but she felt strange too. Her father sent her away, and she came here, but was it the best idea. She would now have to be judged by this brute too. And she growled slightly at herself. She'd have to tell about Legend and he'd be hated, which is good. And he'd have to tell about her father and Jaded and everyone else. She growled, they were not to be judged. She felt courage and bravery enter her chest. She was ready for this, it was time to stick up for what she thought was right. And if they didn't like it, she'd leave and find someone else who would... | |

| At first, Rodion was not at all put off by Link's silence. But as he took his sister without any warning... or permission. Regardless of whether they were kin or not, there had already been somewhat of a plan laid out. He watched Exodus retrieve the herb and felt a confidence in her bloom in his chest. He would do his best to include her in these times, as it seemed she was not included often. He knew wolves like her in the past. They needed someone to vent to, rend their spleen and have quiet moments with at the same time. A smile almost crept its way to his face, but it was cut short when she confronted Link. His facade quickly became the picture of a stressed frown. He was very unsure as to how Link would take her actions, and in his mind braced himself to break up a fight. Exodus left quickly though, and he had caught the stare she gave Cinder. He made a note to speak with this femme later. It seemed like she was having a heard time with this whole making friends thing. He became preoccupied once more with Link. Part of him was horribly tempted to make a dash at him, stop him in his tracks, and command him to wait, but it was not his place. He was sure Zelda's brother meant well, and if anything happened after this incident, he would make sure to get involved. The hessian's head turned to Cinder, and her explanation of his friend's muteness caught him off guard. Injured? Horrible. Would his heart have to break for Link, too? The small fae thanked him for whis kindness. It made him smile, eyes kind toward her as he spoke. "Thanking me? No, there is no need to do that just because I'm a nice guy," he chuckled, but came back down to a more serious level. "I know Zelda is important to you all, as she is to me. I couldn't bear to see an old friend go down so hard. I have a feeling she hasn't always been this weak... since the last time I saw her. And Link," he glanced at the male while he stalked away, "I don't recall him being quite so aggressive. Things have changed. Though whether they are for the worse or for the better I have yet to discover." He spoke candidly, unafraid to share what was on his mind with Cinder. She was sure to understand. "I feel terrible about him. What a shame to lose one's voice. I won't say any more on the matter. There is no need to dwell on unhappier times when it seems as though we are in one."Rodion began to notice her apprehension around him and saw her tail tuck. The scent had already hit him. In the deepest recesses of his mind, an animal instinct told him what this essence meant to him, but he went completely unphased. Not only was this femme a stranger, but he knew that she and Link had something together. Basic idea told him that he had no need to interfere. And besides, he had lived around plenty of women who went through the same thing. It did not bother him in the slightest. "Relax, miss." The kind, wisened smile returned to his ebony lips. "There should be no reason to hide your condition." He spoke plainly, giving every casual attempt to put her at ease. "It won't bother me, and since Link is the one who needs to be concerned about you the most, any other bru to try something will probably get the beating of his life." Rodion knew all too well of Link's death-defying dedication. He chuckled inwardly, knowing his words were probably true. He pulled his crown back just slightly in realization of something, and made one last comment before keeping quiet. He had been doing quite a lot of talking lately. "It's occurred to me that I don't know your name," his tone was soft and warm, still working at lowering Cinder's tension. "And it would be quite a pleasure if I did." | |

| Cinder
Cinder's ashy thorns flicked forward, catching Rodion's voice. She looked to Link and parted her lips to speak once more. She stepped a few paces closer so she wouldn't have to raise her voice so high, although everyone in the pack knew it anyway. "Rodion, I am afraid Link will not be able to reply in the..." she paused for a moment, she understood him without words why couldn't everyone else? "traditional way. He was injured protecting our home and has lost the capability of his voice for now." she paused looking at Link, hope in her silver eyes. She then caught Link's unsaid message and gave a soft nod. He wanted to be alone with his sister. She looked back to Rodion and was about to speak when Exodus came and stepped right in front of Link.
Inwardly she groaned. She wished everyone would have given Exodus a better welcome and listened to her a bit. Cinder thought she was a benifit. In Jabbar she had been nothing but kind and formal. Cinder then caught Exodus's glare and she blinked and nodded then her gaze followed her to where she sat. Again she gave her a friendly wag of her plume as thanks, which happened to stir her intoxicating scent once more. How could the siblings be so different? With that thought she thought of Legend, waiting...waiting to take her back to Jabbar. She had an uneasy feeling about his escort but she didn't think he would harm her after proclaming his love for her. It would be a good time for her to tell him that her heart was already taken and hoped he would understand.
Snapping out of her train of thought, she looked to Link and hoped he would pick up the sage or at least motion for her to pick it up for him. While her gaze was on Link he lips parted again. "Thank you for your kindness Rodion. Zelda means so much to us all." She wondered what the bru had meant when he said Zelda was weak with despair. Her ear twitched with curiousity and she tucked her tail tighter around her, hoping to bury her scent from all the males in the area. Which in reality wasn't going to happen. Again she felt a longing as she watched Link and a quickening of her heart and the hope that Zelda would be okay soon.

| Exodus watched as Cinder and Link came. His snarls were like that of a dark wolf and she sighed a little inside. She caught the words of the bru and stood to leave, she left the scene and ran into the trees. She ran quickly and sprinted into the brush. She had to smell out the herbs to use and before she knew it, sage caught her attention and she quickly stopped to strip the leaves from their life giving support. She grabbed many and sprinted back. As she came into the clearing she stopped to see Link lifting Zelda. She narrowed her eyes at him and then felt her shoulders slump. The remedy to wake Zelda would be no use now, the brute was stupid. She growled to herself and walked after his wake. She cut infront of him and stopped the march to a den for her. "Wake her with these when you can think of doing one thing before another" Her voice was harsh and she dropped the sage on the ground stepping over it and leaving the way for Link open. She didn't look back though her eyes landed on Cinder and she gave her a hard stare to grab the leaves if Link didn't. Their friend had heard what she said, it would come in handy when Zelda's brother freaked about her not waking in moments time. Her gaze didn't drop but it went forward and she made her own wake away from the wolves. She went behind them all and sat down with a sigh. Oh...her father was so mean. Her brother was an even bigger rude wolf. She hated them both... No. She hated Legend, but loved her father more then anything. And she would do anything for him... | |

One who withholds wisdom...
In her darkness she found solitude that only this state could provide. In the darkness she found her mistakes, joys, triumphs, despair all laid before her. The horrors of her past and future, the pleasures of them all. The sweet smell of the grass as she ran with Sarai in their home field. The harsh blow of Ganon's paw. Her brother's face past before her, strong and unmoving. Always protecting her, always...then there was Rodion. Standing proud and tall and he looked at her with what? Pity? A feeling of shame came over her and she looked over.
A soft comforting sound came to her auds and she fell into nothingness. Time meant nothing here and there was no ground for her feet to stand. She was just floating. "Watch over him for me..." The voice, she knew it, it was like it was from a dream of a dream. Someone she had once knew, someone who was kind to her and Link had taken them in...then she was lost.
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..." -Sheik |
|
He threw Cinder a grateful look as she took it upon herself to speak. He felt his body clench in anger at his inability to speak and his old friend did not even know that. He would expect him to have a conversation with him and Link could not. Perhaps with more time...but not now. He felt a ghost of smile when Rodion addressed Cinder before him. But he was far too tense to show any real amusement in the comment. He liked Rodion and had looked back at the brujo with fond memories. He was pleased to see that he still did and that the stance he had taken around his sister did not bother him in the slightest.
Anxious eyes flicked to her unconcious form and back to Rodion's for the explanation. He felt his heart tighten at the answer. Poor Zelda, he had seen the signs of her distress before but she merely brushed him off when he showed concern for her. It had all been too much for her. But why was her past being brought into this? Who brought that up? He felt his talons sink uncalled into the soil at the thought of that basta.rd Ganon. Nodding absently about the rest of the pack he was suddenly aware of all the single males about.
Eyeing Cinder he knew that she would not go to them but the scent of her was a powerful one and he felt protective. Stifling that need he leaned closer when Rodion took quieter tones with them. His face grew grave at the words but it was suspicion he had long harbored about his sister. The stress of the job was too much. She had taken so much upon her but he did slightly resent the remark about her. She was a strong wolf, not like she was before, no never like that again. Closing his eyes he nodded and felt a rush of adreneline pump through his heated veins. It had been so long since he had thought of the past.
Brushing past Rodion he leaned down next to Zelda and in one not so graceful but practical move he shoved himself underneath her and lifted her easily. Link was a warrior and he could take care of his sister. Grunting as he came back up his looked at Cinder then to Rodion indicating that she should stay and speak with him. He could not and she was his voice for the time.
Making a yipping noise at Vaarak he motioned for the young bru to follow and help if there was a need. Then he walked catiously to a more secret and quiet place. Zelda was not ill she just needed to rest. It was something she deserved.

| So many. Many had come now. And he wondered if there were still more. A femme, young, one he had never met, came to him. His eyes narrowed. Not in suspicion or contempt, but in observance of her manner. A follower. Perhaps unaccepted by others, perhaps unwilling to be a part of the pack herself. Nevertheless, he would show her politeness and compassion, as was his way. Even loners needed something. Her words turned over in his ears, his full attention on her, as he would take them one at a time. "A wise choice, one I did not consider myself," he managed before Exodus moved away. When she distanced herself he raised his voice just slightly, to make sure she could hear him. "I would appreciate it if you would fetch one or the other. Whichever you come across first, but with all haste. I would hate for this to be drawn out for much longer."Belikov's optics turned back on Vaarak, and a genuine smile took up the space of his lips at the young one's eagerness. "Your willingness to help is more than welcome, Vaarak. And thank you, Balthier," he looked back to the elder brother, making sure to address all he met by name. He would get nowhere without courtesy. "The lavender will be of good use." He passed a wink to the bru, a seperate thanks for the warning about his brother. His attention returned to Vaarak, Morgan, and Tom. "As soon as we have what we need, I'll have you hel-"He was cut short by the appearance of two others. One, another fae he had not met. The other, a very familiar face. He would have smiled were it not for the snarls that met him first. He refused to react. The anger from his friend passed before he would have even had a chance. Instead his stance was taller, head held up while Link gave his initial opinion. Rodion waited. The look on Link's face told him everything. They had not seen each other for a while; he did not expect immediate recognition from the drake before him. He chose first to address the femme with a lighthearted chuckle, knowing his presence would not be an issue for long. "Your friend seems to take a lot of apprehension toward me."He looked to the knight, dipping his crown in greeting and respect to his elder. "Link, my brave and fearsome comrade. It's been a while." He was totally unaware of his lack of voice. He would find out soon enough. It seemed as though the both of them demanded an explanation, so he gave them the same version he gave everyone else. "Zelda fainted. From where I caught her in conversation, she is quite beyond distressed. She needs to be cared for, and so far I have met many willing to help." He passed a glance to the three brus waiting to assist him in lifting the unconciouss one, whom he looked to next. His stance was still protective by her, but with Link around he loosened up a bit, stepping away just slightly. Every time he looked to her his heart jumped with a painful start. He hated to think how she dreamt, what horrors she could not evade, even in sleep. When he looked back up at the man he nearly considered a brother, he did not hide the anguish he felt for her. He wondered why he took things so personally upon himself. "Link," he grimaced as he spoke, ears back against his skull, then looked at Cinder to include her as well. It seemed as though they were close. She should be included in the conversation. He kept his voice low as he addressed the point straight on. "She is weak with despair. You and I both know she cannot do this any longer. It is not her way to lead."Rodion looked up, all the other wolves waiting. He did not matter to them so much as a fraction of what Zelda did. But he would do his best to work his way in with them, and he knew he had to do it with confidence. His ears erect once more he stood tall before them. It was just as he had done before his friends when he was young, just as he had seen his father do every time he addressed the entirety of his large pack. His voice was deep and strong, but not loud. His gaze did not settle on any one of them, but instead became distant. His homeland shone in his eyes and his accent, unwavering in either. "I'm sorry. It has occurred to me that I have not introduced myself to any of you yet. My name is Rodion Aleksandr Belikov. You may call me by Rodion or Belikov. Do not address me as Aleksandr. That name is reserved... for my father." He faltered at the last sentence, but he spoke without shame. Perhaps this was an opportunity for them to see that they could not count on Zelda anymore. He did not think this in a negative way. On the contrary, he did not want his friend to have to struggle with all of their troubles anymore. Perhaps they would see that he was what they needed. They could choose Link, but he would not let them. Link didn't need this trouble to bear either. It would seem quite the pretentious move, but Rodion Belikov, as soon as this problem was solved would confront them with something they had not had for quite a long time: a new leader. | |

| Cinder
Silver orbs widened as Link dashed off and she was in hot pursuit behind. Something was wrong, she just didn't know what it was yet. Her tiny form darted through the trees and she came to a hault. She saw the pack surrounding Zelda. "Oh no..." she said with a sharp intake of breath. There was a bru curled around her but he didn't look like he was trying to harm, at least to Cinder's eyes, it looked like he was trying to help. She kept her distance and watched as Link approached. It was hard for her to wrap her mind around the figure she saw him become, truely scary in every respect. But then she saw him stop. Cinder came forward. She heard Exodus's voice and nodded. But then Balthier and Varrack spoke up and Cinder watched Exodus fade into the background. It seemed that everyone was there, including Tom. She hadn't seen him in a long while. Familiar faces were comforting. She opened her maw and spoke, being Link's voice. "What happened?"
She looked toward the stranger, Link, and Zelda, then backed up a few paces. She wanted to give Zelda some air. She looked to Exodus who sat further back then she and gave her a friendly wag of her plume, trying to invite her closer. She felt bad that she recieved such a bad welcome and was hoping to amend that. She hoped Exodus would come closer to talk. She looked back to Zelda and worry creased her brow. She didn't know what to do for her, she thought she would be in the way. Plus she didn't want to distract anyone any more than she had just with her presence and her seductive scent. The only one she wanted was Link and he was tending to matters. She was keeping a close eye on things, just in case Link needed her. She found it very easy to be his voice when he needed her, she seemed to know what he meant with a gesture, a nod, a soft whine. She sighed softly and curled her tail around her paws. An old comfort. She hoped Zelda would be alright because if she wasn't Cinder knew that Link would never be the same.

| Balthier nodded as Rodion spoke, deciding that the two being friends was truth, and didn't comment on his tone. Instead, he dismissed it as something that wasn't for him to know. Then he heard Morgan and Tom approach, and stayed silent during the new interaction. When Tom and Morgan were finished, Rodion brought up a good point. It wasn't a good idea for Zelda to lie there, even with her friends and packmates around her, especially if he said she was stressed. He started to speak, when his brother inturrupted. "I'll help!" Vaarak said, but careful he wasn't so loud it would wake Zelda. This wolf did seem to be a good guy and the others seemed to have silently agreed on that. Besides, this would be a good chance to see if Rodion would be friendly to talk to. Of course, Morgan would always be the dad he never had. He left his brother's side and closer to Rodion and Zelda. Balthier thought I should have guessed... Nothing I can do about it now, though. Then he nodded. Walking past his brother, he strode up to Rodion and said, "I'll leave my brother, Vaarak, to you, then. I'm Balthier. It's a good season, so perhaps I'll find some lavender. Its scent should help soothe her mind when she wakes up." He was about to walk off until he paused, then turned back, muttering so only Rodion heard, "And... he talks a lot. He will know not to be loud, but he'll still find some way to be animated, even while helping you." He gave the wolf a slight smile, then turned to start to look for those flowers...

| Exodus was sitting alone waiting for quite a while. She didn't know how to react to the situation, she didn't know if she wanted to. Her attention was stolen away as a howl worked slowly through the air. Then her attention was drawn again as wolves looked and followed. It was a voice of a leader, but Zelda was their leader. She knew she should respond but wasn't quite sure how to. The body of the princess to dark lands stood and walked slowly after everyone else. She didn't want to be apart of this pack, not anymore. The female came into the scene, her golden eyes were gleaming with worry as she first spied Zelda, and then the bru, but his stance wasn't a threat, and he didn't hold anything as of to worry her. He spoke about moving her and Exodus cleared her throat. "I'm not a healer of wounds but, if you want to be a little more safe, you should put some mint or sage under her nose. It's alot safer to move her semi awake then not awake at all. If she doesn't wake, then..." she paused and looked at the bru. "I'm sorry, um, if she doesn't wake then do as you planned?" it was a question but also a final end to her statement. She sighed and looked away from the scene off to the side. She should move. Exodus looked back at Zelda and her ears fell back in a quick movement. She felt highly bad for what happened here, and she didn't even know. She blinked and turned away, walking a few feet away and sat down watching them all. Oh...she was from dark lands and had a good soul. She sighed and looked towards Jabbar. Things were changing, and it wasn't something she felt like dealing with. | |

She met his eyes and saw how torn they were and his whine came to her ashen auds. His low whine was like the call of a siren for her and she came forward once again. She rubbed her head under his chin and buried it in his neck. His scent enveloped her once more and she breathed in deeply, feeling protected, comforted, and loved all at once. Cinder didn't understand why Link seemed so torn. He had always seemed so steady and sure, which seeing him this was now made Cinder even more unsure.
She opened her maw and soft words that came from her very soul poured forth. "Link... I don't want you to feel like ..."She paused emotion filling her throat. "You don't have to....just because..." she paused again unsure of how to phrase the words she wanted to tell him that she didn't want her being in season the only reason he came to her but she wouldn't 'deny him. A soft whine escaped her throat and she buried her head once more in his chest. She could hear his heart beating in his chest and she scooted herself until her body was molded to him before wrapping her plume around her paws whice stirred her scent into the air once more. She was nervous, afraid that when this was all said and done he would regret or worse, like push her away. She needed him always and even when she was away she longed for him. "Link..." her soft voice came forward to caress his ears. There was only one thing she knew she could say without getting her words all jumbled. "Link, I love you." It had always been an understood thing but she never had said it out loud before and she just laid her heart on the line. She pressed further into his chest as if by doing so she could become part of him. Oh how she wanted him, even without her season set upon her. Again her words formed "I love you Link...I have always loved you."
She was about to continue with a few more words when a sharp noise pierced the air and the suddeness of it made Cinder jump. She pulled away and looked at Link with silver jewels. Who was that? It didn't sound like anyone she knew. Her eyes widened slightly and she looked up at Link. "Who was that?" she asked softly, not wanting to bring attention to it but knowing it probably was important.

| Rodion noticed right away the brus approaching him. He knew right away he would be able to trust them, the way they spoke and acted. He gave a nod to Balthier immediately following his questions. "Yes," from his position on the ground, ears erect as he looked up, "We are old friends... from younger days." A smile and note of the younger bru, as he addressed the both of them at once, maintaining eye contact for a while before turning his protective gaze on Zelda once more. "She's not hurt, I can assure you. Zelda is under much stress. I fear her past is coming back to haunt her." His deep, accented voice held just the slightest hint of pain, and he immediately regretted letting them hear it. The only one he would allow to hear him this way would be Zelda and well... she wasn't in the best position to hear him anyway. A quick smile to the brothers before him. "Don't worry about your brother. It's only natural that he would want to interrogate a stranger like me."A new scent caught in his nares. Two more brus approached the scene. One was young and fit, much the same in color as he was, the other much older and of an earthen hue. The younger seemed to act fairly dominant to him, an action he did not have a problem with. But if everything went the way he hoped it would, someday their positions would be switched. The elder seemed a bit unsure of the situation and remained quiet. The young hessian's questioning was much the same as Balthier's. "Hello stranger. I'm Morgan. I would ask what brings you here but," his eyes also rested on Zelda, "I believe there is a more important issue before us." He was holding his tassel fairly high, unaware of the position this bru held in Zelda's eyes. The same questions were asked and answered, the bru's name was given, and through it all he noticed that Rodion did not once lower his auds or his stare. Perhaps he was something important. But that would come when his alphess... of sorts... passed judgement and informed him more fully of this bru. He was not at liberty to ask at this point in time of backgrounds and reasons, so for now he would settle with holding his tongue."And who is your friend?" The question, Tom realized, was directed at him. "Collins," He spoke before Morgan could introduce him, "Tom Collins. You can call me by one or the other.""We'll stick with first names then, Tom. It's a pleasure."Tom's eyebrows raised. Manners. He leaned in to get the tip of his maw near Morgan's aud. His voice wasn't aggressive, but he was willing to take a scolding tone with his young companion. "You hear that?"He muttered, "He's being polite, man. No need to get stiff at everyone you meet." Tom smiled with satisfaction when Morgan was forced to look away, only to catch him in the eyes and snort his disapproval. The smile turned into a laugh, directly in front of his high held stranger. "Sorry. My friend here is a little... well, not easy going."The bru silently appraised them as Collins bantered, mostly with himself. It seemed as though wolves were close friends around here. Excellent. If there wasn't a strong bond, there was nothing. He was confident now that the rest of the pack would be just as able as he was to support the overwhelmed fae. He finally made the decision to stand, though still very close to her body. His posture confident, voice not loud but quite strong, he addressed the four males before him. "We need to get her somewhere more comfortable. Would any of you be interested in helping me move her? ... Better now than before she wakes." | |

| He heard an unfamiliar partial howl, and looked around. It sounded urgent, but wasn't sure if he should investigate. Then again, it wouldn't hurt, so he said, "Vaarak, you can come along." With that he trotted off towards the stranger, little brother in tow. When he arrived, he saw a wolf, protectivly nearby Zelda. He looked at the scene before speaking, "I am assuming Zelda knows you, then." It wasn't a question, and more of a statement, but it was open for an answer, although he didn't ask what happened, since the other probably wouldn't want to repeat the sdame story when the others arrive. Vaarak looked up when his brother told him to follow after hearing another wolf in the near distance. He anxiously followed his brother, wondering if scouting meant he had to check out every noise from an unknown wolf. He saw Rodion next to an unconscious Zelda, and he was about to bark angrily until Balthier spoke. Looking up, confused, he looked between the two on the ground and his brother, wondering how he came to that conclusion. He perked up, "Hey... why's she unconscious? Did that wolf do anything bad to-?" Balthier quickly said, "Vaarak, calm down.." and glanced towards Rodion, "Excuse my brother," and waited for the younger to quiet down, which was fairly quickly. Now looking directly at his brother, he said, "It's not very nice to make a wolf repeat his story multiple times unless it was clear he committed some sort of crime. We don't know what happened, but it doesn't look like any physical harm." He smiled, when Vaarak nodded his understanding, but was still a bit wary. Then he said to the one next to Zelda, "There are no physical injuries, right?" His tone wasn't harsh, just questioning. Fran watched the brothers investigate, and debated whether she should go along. Others would probably also migrate to the call, so perhaps staying would be in the best interest in case something happened.

| OOC: Much shorter than last time =/ want to get the ball rolling! Zelda's reaction to his presence put a smile on his face... at first. She was so distraught, he felt his heart break for her. An old friend, in so much pain. In her eyes he could practically see the past in her eyes. He knew what she was thinking. Her weight fell against him, and immediately his chin rested on top of her crown. "Oh Zelda..." he began, but her voice cut in about her brother. "Where is he?" His scent was on the land, but he was nowhere to be seen. His eyes searched about, taking in every form of wolf about. He didn't want anyone to intrude, whether their intentions were good or not. The hessian could feel the heat of frustration coming from his companion, and a low whine, as though to say "I know your pain" came from his throat. He hated to see her this way.It was so much for her. He was about to speak to her again, but she went down. Immediately he was beside her on the ground. The copper top of his nose nudged her chin. Rodion curled up beside her, closely protecting her unconcious form. Something between a bark and a howl was sent up, calling for help to carry her, more specifically to Link. He would want to know what happened. He would transport her on his own, but to get her on his back, he would need some help. His coins settled warmly on her, slight worry dancing in them. She would be alright, but for her to under so much stress put his mind into the smallest of frenzies. Head erect and alert, he watched and waited. They would come. He knew they would investigate the stranger's bark, and Link would recognize him at once. Or so he hoped.'Damn you, Ganon. Look what you've done to her. Damn this land. She needs me. If I'm not here... she'll get worse. They could all get worse. It just takes one...' | |

So enraptured was she in her conversation with Eirwyn that she did not hear the advance of the brujo behind her. Eyes glistened with fresh tears while she looked to her friend. Hoping that she understood that she knew what it was like to lose things so precious. The lightest of touches on her ear and she was so drained and devoid of energy that she did not even jump. Her shoulders sagged with the weight of her burden and as fate would have it, it would bring such a figure to her when she told this particular tale. At that moment she did look so defeated and so very frail that it was no wonder he would speak to her so softly.
Looking at the hessian her jaw gapped slightly. "Rodion?" It came out in a bare whisper and while at this moment sadness had overwhelmed her she was not so sickly looking those many years ago. They were both older now and if anything age gave Zelda a finer grace but it was lost in her momentary lapse. He spoke of her grief and burden...was it so plain to see? Of course it was, it was etched on her features. A faint smile appeared on her features. One that held no amusement. "Too long. Far...too long." She whispered softly. Then she felt as if she could not hold herself any longer.
Buring her face in his neck she all but collapsed against him and while she did not sob as she wanted to the waves of grief coming from her was no mistake. "I need Link..." Her voice was just a hoarse whisper. She did not even know if he could hear her.
It had all been too much. This land she had to guide was plauged by everything imagineable. She had lost too many to early graves and now to have to immerse herself in the past like this? Then to make it so much more real he showed up. As if summoned by her story, to make it quantifiable and so tangible. It was all too much and she overestimated her strength. Strength like this was not hers. It was Link's and it was her fault that he was broken. All her fault...Sarai did not flee, Ganon killed her and she was useless to stop it. They were going to be mates...her and Link. But she could not stop him from mauling her. Could not stop him from killing her pups! Sometimes when she lay alone at night she could hear their tiny cries for help and the horrible noise of those tiny bones crunching....
Then she blacked out.
Ooc-For the love of god someone get her a tub of ice cream and a therapist!

Tendrils of fire burned across his skin as she suddenly kissed his maw. He felt his skin crawl and his blue hues found her silver ones. He closed his eyes as she pressed herself into his chest and he found himself inhaling her scent. The blood in his veins began to rush and a low grunting noise came from him that was purely in reaction to her. It would not matter if her mating scent was upon her, he would have her either way. The scent only condensed his feelings into something that he needed now. Letting her scent infiltrate his senses he frowned and opened his eyes when she stepped away.
There was a strange feeling in his chest at the moment that had nothing to do with Cinder but he put it off as a reaction to her. Little did he know what distress his sister was in at the moment. Looking at Cinder he let out a whine and stepped forward only to stop himself. Why was she sorry? Did she regret what she just did? Did she only do it because she felt obliged to? He looked at her, his eyes torn, a low whine broke in his throat. He wanted her so much but he could not tell her...not yet... | The other who withholds courage...

| The land was under stress. Of this he was certain. No one to lead, no one to show them where to go… it made him shake his head. Rodion Aleksandr Belikov had been here many days prior to his official arrival. He went unnoticed, circling the borders, following the pack to explore where they did not inhabit. He covered his scent, jasmine, pine, sage, all scents dissipating his own. They did not need to know of his presence. Not yet. He was familiar of nearly every inch of this place, except for the congregation area, where they all seemed to be. But he soon would be. As he looked upon it from the brush, he felt a slight breeze tickle his face. He felt as though his father approved. There they were. Somehow, in his bones, he knew they needed him. Instinct and honor had brought him here.He took a first step into the place where they stood. Some alone, some grouping to chatter. It seemed as though there was mostly nothing going on. He went to take another step but was stopped. A strangely familiar scent hit his nose, a scent that used to reside in his own lands. At least temporarily. His brass optics scoured the land as he pushed forward slowly, carefully. He was sure to be noticed now. The femme he knew was speaking with another, a snow-kissed wolfess under much duress. The atmosphere was not a pleasant one. He caught the last words of the tale she regaled. A tale he was all too familiar with. He had heard it before. It struck him that it was she who led the pack now, but the air about her did not hint that she was not a permanent ruler. He didn’t blame her. From what she knew, she could be indecisive. Meek. Even if these weren’t her definitive traits, they could not afford to be had in a leader. Who knew? Perhaps this experience had changed her. And if not, he still did not look down on her for it. He had not been raised this way. He knew of meekness, of fear. The former he had never felt. The latter, only once. Having grown up learning to make his own decisions, without guidance, had set him up for being a definitive and precise drake. He never hesitated, never second-guessed himself. In the days of his youth, when his group of friends within his pack followed him for play, he called the shots. And they never wavered in obeying. They trusted him. They knew he would be right and keep them out of trouble, even in their time as lanky, headstrong pups. He grew into leadership. It would have come sooner, more valiantly if not for one man. If Nicolai had not been born into such greed and malice… things could be different. Rodion shook the thought from his mind. There was no need for such trivial thoughts at a time like this. He had more important things to attend to. His friend, so aggrieved with strife and struggle, in an uncomfortable place, needed his guidance more than he did. His posture was at ease, neither dominant nor submissive as he stood behind her. He felt a thump in his heart for this long lost friend of his. She knew him in his younger days, and to hear her having to tell her story over again left his chest throbbing with pain. Not just for her, but for the memories of his home, his story. The pain of death could be too much to bear. Rodion’s brow furrowed. He frowned. He could sense from her that she was the main source of the stress around here. She was under too much of it for her own good. With resolve, he put one more foot forward. His coal nose nudged the back of her ear gently, and his deep voice, tinged with the accent of his homeland, came through softly, comfortingly. As a friend’s voice would. "Zelda my friend, you have so much grief to bear. How long have you carried this pack’s burden on your shoulders?" | |

She saw the hare move closer and she looked up. She knew he wanted her to eat also, but eating was the last thing on her mind at the moment. She bent down and ripped off a chunk of the hare, eating quickly but delicatly. His very presence was intoxicating, even more so now that her heat was upon her. She felt shy and yet at the same time coy and seductive. Those were feelings she had never felt before. Heat was rising to her skin and her pulse quickened. She finished off the hare and licked her maw free of the crimson that lined her lips. "Thank you Link." she said softly and her eyes rose up to meet his. She had caught his frown when she mentioned Exodus. She hadn't wanted to dissappoint him, but Exodus was a kind wolf. She was born a darkling as Cinder herself, why couldn't she see the light? She stood there her silver pools overflowing with the image of Link. She felt butterflies in her chest and a longing.
Cinder stepped closer, unsure but unable to deny herself. She kissed his maw gently, innocently, seeking what she hoped was there. Even if it wasn't she would live the dream while it lasted. Her untarnished love would hold true even if he cast her aside for another. She wouldn't be able to blame him, for now she was nothing. A burden on the pack. Someday..someday she would prove herself to him and be worthy of him. "Link..." she breathed and closed her eyes inhaling his scent. The closer she stood the more urgent she felt. She buried her head into his shoulder, afraid. Afraid he would turn her away, afraid he would be too disgusted to even consider her. Her plume moved, stirring her scent once more. She trembled and pulled herself away. She wouldn't force herself upon him. "I'm sorry." she whispered and shifted her legs. She looked down, back up and then cast her silver orbs down once more. She backed up another step and waited. She wanted to bolt and leave him to think with a clear mind, away from her poisonous scent, but her body wouldn't let her. Torn, she trembled once more, unsure of the right thing to do.

| ooc- I never really thought I would get to share Zelda's past ^^ |
One who withholds wisdom...
Zelda paused in her step and turned to face Wyn once more. She looked at the fem apathetically knowing how hurt she had been by everything. Her sister's absence, Evon's betrayl. All of it. But it was not the rest of the pack's fault, she was the one who allowed Evon in and she would forgive herself for that but needed to put it behind her for these troubled times. Though when Wyn began to trail into something else, times far distant from here Zelda felt herself anxiously take a step towards the femmora. She seemed to be in such distress...
As the story proceeded Zelda felt horror rising in her her chest. She knew that this story was not going to end happily. No, if it did she would know the dear hessian Weston that captured Wyn's heart. Before the story was over Zelda's tears had spilled over her muzzle and ran down her fur. She felt her own body shaking, shaking like it had not in a long time. Her legs felt weak and her own pain and despair blossomed in her heart, long since dormant since coming to Fire and Ice. "O Eirwyn..." She whispered.
Then when the fae spoke no longer Zelda stepped forward and buried her head in the other fems pelt. In an attempt to comfort her, show her that she understood and to comfort herself as well. How strange that Eirwyn would confide this to her! To her of all people who could understand what it meant. Never before had Zelda confided her own past horrors and only her brother knew for he had saved her from that wretched brute. But while her pups had been born out of force Wyn's were out of love and she imagined the pain all the more magnified. "Many years ago when I was young, Link had left to go on an..well an adventure, as he called it at the time. A dark brute seized our small pack, there were only two females. Myself and another called Sarai. My father had long past. A lone wolf...his name was Ganon found us. Before I realized anything was wrong Sarai had already fled and I was left to endure Ganon's cruelty." Zelda's voice was thick with grief at the upcoming statement her voice became a scarce whisper. "Every litter...every pup, he slain them all. Never leaving one..." Her eyes closed briefly. She had just disclosed something that she had never wanted anyone to know. She was so weak in that time and it had taken her many years to recover from Ganon's reign as her 'mate' as he so claimed himself.
Gathering herself she looked Wyn in the eyes with her own azule ones. "There are many things that we can not control and while I understand your decision I have hope that someday you will accept Exodus for she could not control her birth pack. As for Legend...all I expect for him..." she growled low "Is for everyone to be cordial. We could not handle it if Jabbar decided to attack us now." She hoped that Eirwyn did not think her foolish for allowing herself to be used by Ganon. She was so young and so afraid and if Link had come any later she would never become the wolf she was today.

Looking at the rabbit he placed his paw on it and then proceeded to rip a chunk off and eat it fairly quickly. Then as he leaned forward to grab the rest of the rabbit to give, the scent of her hit him hard and his throat tightened. Ah...so that is why I have been so on edge. Damn and she is to be off to Jabbar with that pup who looks at her like she is meat. Grasping the rabbit in his mouth he turned and placed it before her. He felt his skin grow hot with want of her but he was no savage wolf to take what he wanted. He would never force a femmora to submit to him. Mind flashed to an image of a hulking ash wolf who stand over his half starved bleeding sister. No, he would never allow that to happen to anyone he loved.
When she spoke of going to see Exodus he frowned but made no further protest. Instead he again nudged the rabbit towards her with an insistant motion. Her perfume was unnerving him and he felt his eyes darting around in search of other hessians. Fenrir curse me if I can not control myself now! | The other who withholds courage...

| OOC: Sorry Silent I just had to add more to my post whilest I waiteth for you <3 DRAMA LLAMA. Cinder
As she waited for his words her body reeled with emotion. Her breath seemed to quicken slightly a flush seemed to crawl through her body and his scent seemed so lovely. If she were more bold she would have followed her impulse to touch his form. It had always been what she wanted but right now it felt like a need. She looked away from him, it had been so hard to pry away her silver eyes. Oh how she loved him so. She unthinkingly took her plume and wound it around her paws, in doing so it sent her perfume into the air. Her nose caught a hint of her own sweet scent and she then realized what was happening. Her season had finally come. Years of undernourishment had kept it at bay and now of all times it decided to show. Panic set in her mind for a second. What would she do? She looked upon Link once more, desire sublty hidden in the depths of her silver pools. She wouldn't be able to deny him, she didn't want to deny him. She wanted him, needed him, and soon....before she had to return to her personal mission. She relased a soft whisper of a sigh and wrenched her gaze away once more. Her gaze looked to where Exodus had been. Maybe she should speak with her sooner than later. Give Link time to consider...if he even wanted her? Cinder didn't know. Her thoughts ran to Legend for a second. She didn't know why he would fancy her, but she knew she would stay away from him right now. He scared her and it wasn't just because of his attempt to kill her before. It was the hunger in his eyes. She licked her lips and her lyrics came forth softly. "Link, I should go talk to Exodus. She is a good wolf and she saved my life. I wouldn't want her to feel unwelcome." She paused still waitng to see if Link would say anything. She stood and it caused her scent to float in an aura around her. Lifting her quicksilver eyes to Link she tilted her dial and then cast her gaze to her paws.

| Exodus had wandered not far, but far enough that the other wolves wouldn't see her expressions on her face. Was it relief mixed with some shame, or was it worry filled with remorse. She wouldn't be able to tell anyone even if they asked. What was she doing here. She was running for one, from all of them. She didn't want to be near them, any of them. Or did she. Did seeing her brother make her heart leap with love, or was it something different. Did she really hate him as much as she said she did. Oh no, she did, she hated her brother, though she'd always love him, she'd hate him. The femme hated her... She had been dark, or was dark in her eyes, and she was looked upon by others as scum. She would be scum to everyone here. She sighed and let her head fall down with her body. She curled where she lay and set her tail around her nose. "Oh bother" she said softly and lay there frustrated by her own situations... Ooc:|| She's open for approach. Loverly conversations can be aroused from her. | |

| Cinder
Cinder felt his nudge and she sighed a soft butterfly sigh, she hadn't wanted to go get the rabbit really but she had brought it as a gift for Link. He wanted her to lead the way, she could tell by his motions. She smiled at him and brushed her coat against his as she exited the den. Silver orbs scanned the dens. Legend was gone, thank goodness. Although she had a feeling he wasn't far. She still didn't understand why the dark bru would pick her just like that. She never had thought of being with anyone other than Link and if she couldn't be with him then she thought she would be alone. She turned and paused looking back at Link, he was so good to her. But was it only to be friends? Her eyes shone with feeling as she looked upon his bod but then she quickly looked away hoping he hadn't seen or really wishing he had.
She padded over to where they had been. The hare still lay there lifeless and she caught no sight of Zelda, Legend, or Eirwyn. And then her silver gaze came to Exodus. She needed to speak with her privately....soon. Before she left anyway. Looking down at the hare she nudged it toward Link. "Here you go. It's not much but I thought you might like it." Her gaze came up and she smiled shyly, before sitting and curling her tail around her toes. Impulse was telling her to go to Link and touch him, rubbing her body across his but she denied it as she was so unsure. What could he do? Tell her No? Cinder thought to herself. But she knew deep down that the little word would crush her heart. Better to let sleeping wolves lie.

| One who withholds wisdom...
Zelda coming, need some muse for her at the moment.
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..." -Sheik |
Watching her closely as she spoke of Legend he could not help feel rankled when she spoke of how a shock it was to learn of it..but at the same moment she averted her gaze from him. Was she lying? Did she really know of it? What if she was trying to not hurt his feelings? Link fixed his gaze on something in the distance and listened to the comforting lyrics of Cinder. At her sudden exclamation he looked back at her, this time his intensity was gone replaced by cool amusement.
Nudging her lightly with his nose he extracted himself and rose to his paws. Motioning for her to lead the way he waited. While he was not particularly hungry he thought that she could use some meat on her bones and intended to give her most of it.
