.where the yellow brick road took a different turn. [Main Bo - Page 6 Bloodeye-1

Bloodeye matched his smirk, watching his eyes as his gaze swept over her form. Yes, she was more than certain now that he had taken an interest, but how far would his curiousity bring him? She smiled darkly as he made mention that the title of King had been his before; so, she had been right about that. He had felt what it was like to control the lives of others. But as he spoke, he seemed to be hinting something else as well. He seemed willing to take his place as her King, whether it be in literal terms or not. Her orange-tipped banner swayed in its often-times sensual manner, excitement and a flush of different emotions racing through her veins.

As he asked her how she might go about this, the wheels began turning within her mind. Though she had longed for power, she had not spent much time dwelling on it, for it had always seemed out of reach; but that was when Damean had held the throne and worn the crown. Now he was gone, and Bloodeye had come upon a male that just seemed to trigger everything within her. He seemed powerful and she was drawn to it, while his handsome body and visage, along with his subtle charm, just drew her in further in a different way. But now, she must wonder what the best method would be if she were to capture an entire pack.

Then something clicked in her mind. It would take them much precious time and patience to gain the trust and loyalty of many packmates; it would simply be much easier to gain powerful allies with no current alliances, and get their help in taking over. And she knew just where to go, somewhere she had once lived when she'd first arrived in Fire and Ice. Although she knew the rogue pack had disbanded moons ago, Bloodeye thought there must still be at least a few rogues wandering the lone lands. Someone out there must long for power amongst others. Giving a short chuckle, she looked up at Zaiaku, "Well, my dear friend, I know just where to start," she replied, leaving the rest a mystery, "Follow me, if you wish. These times call for a trip to the desert." He probably did not know what the purpose of going to a desolate place such as that was, but that was all part of the fun.

Flashing him a mischevious smile, she turned around, brushing her tail over his muzzle before she took off toward the borders. So far she held no rank in this pack, so she assumed she wouldn't be missed if gone for a while. It was not long before her slender paws were taking her to the lone lands, leaving the lands of Jabbar Junayd behind for now.

Symphony

Symphony moved with a the grace of a dancer. Each step, each movement was fluid and beautiful. Like an art.
Eyes shifted from side to side as she followed Cullen, a soft chuckle pressing through her lips whenever he would
circle her. She wasn't quite sure why he did it, but she found it rather amusing and....cute...in some sort of weird
way that she didn't care too much to put any thought into at this point in time.

When they came into the lands they approached another canine, not wolf but fox. Symphony cared not of what
species the cousin was that they spoke to, so she paid no mind to the fact. For now she allowed Cullen to speak,
not for a lack of courage but more because he was the one looking for answers. She was too in some ways, but not
like he. She was looking more just for a regular place to rest each night for now, the hunting of history would
come later for her than for Cullen.

Tail gently glided to and fro behind her lazily as they followed the red tainted cousin to another canine. This one
white and very much a wolf. The alphess to be exact. Symphony gave a gentle bow of her head in a respectful
greeting "I am Symphony m'lady" lyrics danced in their sweet melody from her lips when asked their callings.
Symphony was a proud fae, and stood tall with the stance of the warrior that she was. Head was high and
shoulders squared as if poised for battle, but her tail hung low now as they spoke to the leader, letting her know
in their silent language that even though her body might show challenge, she had no actual meaning behind it.
Submission was evident in some parts, but the hardened fae within her kept the dominance in others. Sure she
would be respectful, these were not her lands afterall, but the fact she would not tolerate being pushed around
oozed off of her in a way that would not cause a fellow fae to fear her but admire, while intimidating away beasts
that meant her harm and attracting those who saught a mate who was in control of herself.

Symphony was no average fae, the glowing blue eyes spoke that much for themselves. Though her features were
soft her gaze was sharp and alert. Thorns pivoted on her head to take in the sounds of those around them, and
though her gaze looked around with a lazy ease she was memorizing everything around them, so that if trouble
struck she knew exactly where everything was. Photographic memory worked to her advantage that way. It was
a good trait though, hell they were in dark lands afterall.

Her thirst for power, he was sure of it, was what kept his eyes locked on her. He had been a sucker for fems like her, having taken many back home. All those who were just dying to control others, he recalled many of them. What promises had he given them, only to take them. False promises, of power and control. To be his queen, and rule the wolves. How he had led them all on, for his own pleasures. Most were willing to throw their bodies at him, just because their minds dwelled on what it meant. Some of course, were a little more reluctant about giving themselves to him. Many fought him after tossing them out, though he never killed any of them. Zaiaku wanted welps, so that their mothers might despise them. In hopes that his pups would grow to be like him, and become a leader. Without a doubt, he had many welps about his old lands. Whether or not they were killed now, wasn't important to him. Their mothers could do what they wished with them, now that he had moved. It wouldn't surprise the bruja, to find his pups dead. Most of them weren't of much interest to him, not anymore. If they survived, then perhaps they may grow strong. The thought of stumbling upon one of them amused him, to find a young wolf that looked like him. Here, in the lands of FnI.

Zaiaku had never seen real interest in any fem, not mate wise anyways. He had had only one fae who had truly claimed his heart, but even then he acted no different to her. They had never been together, except for those short times when he felt the need. For all he knew, she held great distaste for him. As most did in Tartarus. Even now, Zaiaku had trouble finding everything in Bloodeye. Her thirst caught him, and her frame filled him with lust. Did she hold his heart, even he didn't know. Love, a word he wasn't sure he used often. Lust was more of his liking. Love came with time, as loyalty does. For now, he held interest in her. Enough to satisfy her need for help, but less to show himself fully. What wolf in the land of Jabbar, would think of approaching Zaiaku with intents of taking power? Akiko was loyal to her pack, and she was temporarily ruler already. Jaded was the only other wolf he had really spoken with, but she was lost in her thoughts. A sly smirk slipped across his maw, now understanding the tawny fae. From her movements and general attitude, of the short time being with her. Zaiaku now knew her feelings, or atleast he assumed them. She held interest for the previous king, which would've made him chuckle had he not held back. Blue hues darted around for a bit, before returning to Bloodeye.

The desert had been where Zaiaku had taken his first steps, in the lands of FnI. A desolate place for the lost, and undoubtably the damned. Of course, curiousity got him. What had this vix so interested in such a place? He had met none within the land, which was why he travelled to Jabbar. His mind turned and another smirk rised, she was beginning to really interest him. On a different level though, lust was still what filled his lanterns. If only because he had never seen anything but lust, perhaps he was a bit insecure about giving his heart. The thought disgusted him a bit, to actually love another. Bloodeye was certainly interesting enough, which kept him playful. It was a bit of a thrill, to have such an opportunity to rise. Upon reaching a land that he had thought would change him a bit, ha! Was change really what he seeked? Or more power? Oh everything was a bit cluttered for the moment. Zaiaku awoke from his thoughts, at the feel of her plume against his muzzle. He kept his composure, not letting his body shiver from the touch. Mitts carried him after her, letting her lead the way. No one would miss a bruja that had only just arrived.

.where the yellow brick road took a different turn. [Main Bo - Page 6 Rawbones-1

For a heart-sinking moment it seemed that Akiko was not going to recognize him, and he nearly wished to turn and flee; being forgotten was something he deemed worse than death. But recognition soon flashed within her harsh cerulean gaze, and her jaw gaped. He offered a half-smirk as she stated his name, and sounded as though she were about to go on a rant asking where he'd been. But it seemed the reunion he had so desired was to end in a moment's time, as a pair of young wolves came traipsing after Jaded, ready and willing to speak without a thought as to who might have been there first. Now, maybe Akiko was used to the rush of newcomers all bustling to impress their new leader, but Rawbones was not feeling up to the social activity of greeting new wolves.

Instead, he let out a menacing growl, hackles raised and shot both the two young'uns a foul glare; he was feeling old and grouchy right now, and he couldn't help but to feel extremely frustrated by their sudden interruption. He moved away from Akiko's side, rugged tail flicking into the air as he gave them one last look of disdain. Snorting, he turned away. He had noticed someone else glancing at him as though she might vaguely remember him, the tawny wolfess who had led the two here in the first place. He had no qualm with her, simply wanting to know who she was. He lumbered over stiffly and plopped himself down beside her. He looked her over for a few moments, probably longer than was comfortable for most. At last, he tilted his head to speak. "Have we met before?" he asked, sincere in his question, for he had little memory of anyone he'd met under Damean's rule.

~Jaded~

Jaded's auds flicked forward as the familiar face let out a snarl and she gave him a cold stare for a second. Why does he think that he gets to demand all of Akiko's attention? She is after all the alphess, for now. Her thoughts turned to Damean at that moment and she wished with all of her that he would call upon her again. She needed him, to feel him...to see him..to know that he was real. Her thoughts were pushed aside as the older male walked stiffly beside her and settled himself. She knew him from way back when...when she first came here. What had she heard him say his name was.....Rawbones. Yes, that was it...Rawbones. She caught his gaze roaming her form and flicked her tail, a bit annoyed that he should drink her figure in that much. She was not for him, she was not for anyone...anyone but Damean.

Tawny auds flicked forward to catch his voice while Akiko delt with the newcomers. "I believe so Rawbones but only for a fleeting moment. My name is Jaded." She said softly as not to interrupt Akiko and the newcomers. "So where have you been? I haven't seen you since I arrived to this pack?" She said making idle conversation to keep the grouchy old wolf from snarling at the newcomers again.

.where the yellow brick road took a different turn. [Main Bo - Page 6 Rawbones-1

He wasn't sure what to think as a few unpleasant looks came to him from Jaded, although she seemed inviting enough for a small conversation. He tried to shake off the hostility he'd detected, and instead focused on her words. So, this was Jaded, huh? A vague memory of her appeared in his mind, along with a few of those from his past. Some he cared to remember, others... well, not so much. But they were still there, all strewn about his scattered mind somewhere. He just needed little reminders. "Ah, Jaded," he murmured, mostly for his own reference. Then he thought to her question. Ah, well, he'd been on a long journey, and he'd nearly found purpose, but it had been a dream just out of reach. He just wasn't good enough, it seemed.

Sighing, he decided to respond quite honestly. "Well, Jaded," he began, crossing his forepaws, "I've been to far off lands and back, fighting, spying.. deceiving. The usual. Trying to gain a name for myself, but it was no use. Well, that's why I left this place to begin with, but it seems I'm better off here than there. I didn't think I'd be worth much with Damean and his wench around... not too fond of me, I'd say, despite my attempts to devote my loyalty to him." He snorted, clawing the ground to relieve some of his pent up anger. Damean had been so unfair to him, and wouldn't even hear him out in his last moments. His arrogance in that moment had given Rawbones the incentive to end their friendship permanently, and furthered his reasons for leaving.

Just then, he wondered where the brute was. His scent no longer seemed to linger here. Had he been nothing but a sham? Another arrogant fool thinking he could gain power and abandon the pack whenever it suited him? He glanced to Jaded, his silver orbs sparking for a moment, the dull, lifelesness of them gone for a brief second. "Hmph, so what ever happened to that brute, then?" he asked, irritation clear in his voice, ignorant to the fact that this femme was completely in love with the very hessian he spoke of.

He was suave. He was a king of kindness, but he was also dark in the ways of life. There hadn't been any light in it so far. As once names Ender he was brought to the light lands to live with his adopted mother Willow. She had given him love, kindness and then...left. He wouldn't forget how she raised him as a gentleman, but he also wouldn't forget she left to get laid and be a little fem like the rest. He had thought all female like such until Symphony. The brute sighed with a soft smile and nudged his friend softly. "You ready? Guess we'll go to them before they come to us" his voice was emotional with her, but soon it would drop. Cullen hoped she wouldn't take it personal when it did.

The brute with black and orange fur, a mimic to Legend only with the hints of orange walked strongly into the packlands. He didn't know where to appear first but his answers were quickly given as he saw two wolves standing with speach (rawbones and jaded). He brought himself quickly up to them and nodded. "Greetings" he said swiftly coming up uninvited. "I am Cullen, and it may sound oh so familiar but my mate and I are looking for a place to stay as a home" This is when he would gulp down if she lashed at him for the statement he just made, but the brute standing here, old in age, had more wisdom then he did and it tested Cullen just a little...

Petra perked her ears curiously as Blade spoke, and she began to question the things he was saying within her mind. Was he right? Had she discovered more about herself on this journey? When she thought about it, she knew that at heart she did not truly belong here, and yet she felt attached to this place, and the wolves within it, so she knew she would never be able to leave. She'd had thoughts of leaving before, and staying with Cinder's pack had certainly been a positive experience, but she remembered her feelings the moment she'd spotted Damean in the pure lands; she had felt so much relief and excitement that she'd had no thoughts of staying in Midnight Meadows.

"Blade... I know my heart is not suited to this place," she said with slight dismay, for she had always felt worried and confused for her differences from her packmates, "I have never truly fit in; I don't have dark thoughts and cravings for blood like many do. But my heart really does lie with this pack..." And with you. She just couldn't voice it, yet her eyes gazed over him with admiration and the love she'd always felt for him.

As he mentioned she might have grown more indepenedent, she chuckled lightly, shaking her head. Her tail waved slightly, and she smiled, her eyes sparkling. "If I were so independant, maybe I'd have stayed away," she said, knowing she could never have stayed away from him forever. She would have needed to come back some time. Every day she was gone she had missed him, despite trying to keep him as the least of her worries, it had been no use.

Tilting her head, she noticed that he had a grim look on his face as he spoke of his past regrets, especially lately. Regrets? What had he done lately that he would regret so heavily? For a moment she was afraid to find the answers to that, but curiousity and concern for her dearest friend forced her voice from her throat. "Blade, what do you mean by that?" she asked with brows furrowed, a quaver in her voice, "I couldn't see you as the type to do anything horrible..." Her mind began reeling and she feared for the worse. Had he seen someone else when she'd been away? Or had he done it right behind her back? Jaded? she thought immediately, though she tried to discard it, already knowing the answer. Jaded loved Damean. She tried to calm her mind, taking a slow, deep breath. She was probably overreacting; she should hear his words first, instead of going straight to an assumption.

Ooc- Sorry I took so long Akka, I had no muse for her for some reason XD

((Blade would have waited forever for Petra if he had to. ^_^))

Blade listened as Petra spoke, he was becoming more convinced that he should speak up soon about what he originally would have- until all those distractions from earlier pushed it back, which caused him to be more nervous. Normally he'd just do it and get it over with, but logically, there were too many things on their minds for proper attention. When she finished speaking, he sighed, and knew he'd have to say it sooner than later, but... "I'll answer your question right after this bit."

Thinking back to what she had said before the question, he responded to her first statement, "Well, not all dark wolves are known to be blood thirsty. Sometimes I'll even admit what we all call one another can be a bit misleading. Pure wolves are known as good, gentle beings, correct? We can be gentle, too, or at least, with the young ones who are completely defenseless until they are taught. Both sides can be just as quick to lose their temper. It's just that we have a better reputation of lashing out sooner, so everyone forgets that they, too would have lashed out eventually.

"I'm not trying to make it sound like we should forget the sides or discard our actions. Really, the only thing that makes us different is personality and how we grew up. I'm not that bloodthirsty, but I'd rather the darkness anyday. When it comes to the past, we're not as judging... unless it's a different species of canine or has the scent of a pure. Most pures are quick to judge by past, unpleasant actions- those who've been banished many times by pure and neutral alike, like me. I've had no where else to go. Perhaps like most of us, though, I do hold a nasty grudge for that. I wouldn't associate with them, but I won't judge others who would."

He couldn't believe he actually said all that. At least... it was probably only a portion of what he could have said about that topic. He didn't know how to word his response to her second comment, but perhaps it'd had something to do with what he was about to say, if only he'd get the words out properly. Out of all his well worded converstaions and requests, he hoped this would work just as well.

He gave her some time to absorb what he said, hoping she'd feel less out of place- he could work more on that later on- and said after a breath, said, "Ok, so about that question." It was mildly clear, although his tone hadn't changed much, he was a bit unsure of his next words, "I've always... normally was a silent wolf, keeping thoughts to himself and mainly looking out for himself." He averted his gaze to the ground, as he'd been looking at her this whole time before now. "I believe that, lately, you've changed that... starting from sometime before you left. I quite regret that personality that took hold of me that I can't let go of, especially as of late. Because of my silence, I always neglect to mention things that may perhaps have changed something. It's really thanks to Jaded, though, that I started to think of this, after she confessed her love. It's probably why I've been slightly protective of her, even to speak up to Akiko earlier. Well... some stuff led up to her telling me of her feelings towards, well, you know," he didn't say Damean's name in case some newcomer would appear who'd known of the ex-alpha overheard, "and to some point kept it quite.

"Made me think of what would happen if I never saw you again and I had never said anything. I'm observant, but I'm not observant when it comes to me. Only when I started thinking about the past did I realize it. I can only apologize that it's taken me so long, and perhaps it's part of the reason you left with Lacuna only to come back with Cinder." At this point, he still couldn't look at her, scared that he'd stop talking if he did. "I've never felt it these feelings before, but, I'm very certain that I love you." He was lucky he was a furry creature, as he didn't understand how human could keep themselves composed when they turn red. The only thing to do was wait for a response...

Petra nodded, stifling a nervous gulp as he said he would get to her question afterward. Was he trying to avoid something? She became too distracted by his next words, however, to worry about anything anymore. She frowned lightly as he spoke of gentleness to the young; the wolves of these day were indeed as he said they were, but she had seen great cruelties growing up. Shadow had been a tyrant amongst the pack, sending her half-brother against their mother for the kill, then sentencing his own death when she pleased. There had been unthinkable acts performed in those times, things she wouldn't soon forget; things that had perhaps made her into the shy being she'd become. Those were the dark wolves she thought of if she were to label anyone. She'd always compared herself to them, but she just did not fit the match.

Shaking her head, she rid herself of those thoughts. Blade was right, they were not all like that, especially not the wolves of Jabbar Junayd. They were loyal, perhaps few of them with a true sense of honour, but they knew the boundaries of their pack and who was in charge. And they knew the value of the young, and their importance to the future. She listened further as he spoke of those of the darks with grudges against the pures, the reasons for their dislike for the alter alliance. She nodded to him, though curiousity buzzed within her mind as he spoke of them; had he been amongst them at some point? It stirred something within her chest, a hope that perhaps she was not the only one who was here for choices and decisions hadn't been their own. Wonder stirred in her deeper, however, wondering about his past, what he had done; who was he, truly? No, the past did not matter, he was who he was and that was more than enough for Petra, but questions still flooded her mind.

It must wait for another time, however, despite the silence that stretched between them for a moment. She was watching him, realizing for the first time that this must be the most they had ever spoken since knowing one another. She did not find it to be strange at all that they had rarely spoken at length for they were both quiet by nature; she found it pleasant to at last have her time with him, though. She couldn't help but to smile, looking into his eyes, seeing the mystery and intelligence that so drew her to him. Her breath caught in her throat, however, as he spoke again, drawing attention once more to her prevoius question. What had he done that he regretted? She would soon find out.

Her large, triangular auds pressed forward, far as they'd reach, as he began to explain himself. His gaze so intense upon her all this time, she wanted to cry out as it left her and fell earthward, but she did not utter a sound. Instead, she watched him intently, nothing to do but listen, and she did so with expertise. She didn't quite know what he was getting at, and only anger could flare in her normally gentle, green orbs as he began to mention Jaded, and something about opening up feelings, confessing love. Her heart began to beat more rapidly as he continued - why should he feel protective of Jaded, enough so to stand up to even Akiko? Hatred and jealousy stormed within her eyes, and he'd likely be confused should he look into her smoldering leafy gaze now - he'd always been oblivious to her feelings toward Jade, though she'd never resented his ignorance. Only her. Tension filled her body, yet still she did not speak.

Okay, okay, I know who you're talking about, I know who she loves! she thought urgently, But what are you getting at, Blade? Suddenly he stopped speaking of Jade, and spoke instead of Petra herself. She began to understand what his former rambling had been about, and her eyes widened, the fire gone. She began to anticipate words she thought she'd never hear from him, and she couldn't help but to lean in closer, as though doing so could speed up the pace at which she could interpret his speech. Still, she held her breath, afraid that such a vital movement would cause the moment to be lost in time. Then he said it, something she had only ever dreamed of hearing from his very lips, and all she could do was gape at him, stunned.

After a long, unsure moment, she stepped forward slowly. Her small black nose touched his cheek; a test, to see if he was real, if this was really happening. Warmth flooded her as she felt his fur, and she buried herself in him, overwhelmed by her feelings of love, and then the inevitable rush of uncertainty. Tears of mixed emotion flooded her soft pools, and she looked up at him. "Blade, you won't ever leave me, will you?" she asked, fear evident in her tone, "Not like everyone else?" Then she shook her head. How could she ruin this moment between them with such foolish, unreasonable thinking? "I-I mean, I love you too," she stuttered, breathing him in and closing her eyes, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get so emotional... " Her eyes opened again, and she looked at him with a radiant smile. "You have no idea how long I've waited to hear those words," she said softly, nuzzling lovingly into his neck.

Ooc- Awww I'm all giddy inside! Teehehehe!

Blade thought he was actually able to hear the pause after he finished speaking. Suddenly, he wondered if he worded it ok... perhaps Petra had misunderstood? Or maybe he was wrong to take the first step. This was why he had casted his eyes away from her at the end, even though she had been so attentive to him. He knew there would soon be a sudden flash of emotions... or at least, figured so, and wasn't sure if he'd be able to bear anything that would look unfavorable.

There was a slight itch at his throat- probably since he didn't remember speaking so much. Well, apart from his younger, pup days and when he was fresh on the road to travel. Back then, traveling had been such a new experience, that he spoke out loud about his thought towards no one in general, other than the small animals and plants who probably wouldn't, or couldn't hear him anyways. Eventually the silent reponses during his traveling got to him and he stopped talking. He actually found it easier to retain and draw up information that way, too.

He hadn't realized how tense he was until Petra moved closer, her appearing to be somewhat tentative from the corner of his eye. He felt her brush agaisnt his cheek, and he unconsciously relexed. When he heard her next question, though, he slightly tensed again, not really noticing her nuzzle into his heck, not not as surprised with the question as he originally thought. It was quite understandable with what happened, including when he first arrived to the pack and what happened soon after. Her surrogate father had left, for one, for a reason no one knew. He finally glanced down at her slightly, careful not to dislodge her from her current 'perch' and said, "Well... I wouldn't have nearly embarassed myself to tell you all this if I wanted to leave," he tried to mildly joke. "Besides, you're stuck with me now. And I apologize it took me so long to realize it." Blade gently nudged her, "But you know what they say- good things comes to those who wait. Perhaps this is one of those occasions."

Jaded~

Jaded twitched an ear as she listened to the old wolf's words. Off seeking a better fortune..she thought to herself. His words grew harsh suddenly with speaking of Damean and his wench. Her ears immediately lay against her skull. She knew he was talking of Lilith for no one here knew of herself and Damean truely except Legend. Blade knew of her love but he didn't know Damean reciprocated it. Still hearing the harsh words against her love made her anger.

She had to control this anger and keep Damean's secret. What he was doing he said he was doing for all. Even this old fleabag beside her. She forced her ears forward and her voice to remain somewhat pleasant. "He is gone for the moment and that is all I am at liberty to say. If you want more answers ask Akiko." Jaded knew if the grizzled old wolf would put words against Damean in front of the white vix that he would be surely sorry. "Pray excuse me." she said and walked off. She began to pad away from the gathering . The two new wolves. One who had an uncanny resemblance to Legend. What was his name...Cullen? Legend came to her mind once more. Where was that young hot blood? He didn't tell her he was going somewhere.

She looked around the densites. Eris and Crow were speaking, Bloodeye and Zaiaku, it seems that everyone was in pairs. Hunger touched her belly and she remebered the kill that had been made. She made her way toward it and stopped. Her emeralds filled with Blade and Petra's embrace. In one heartbeat the sight made her ever so glad, in the next it cut her like a knife. She turned away quickly, they probably would catch her form but she hadn't wanted to intrude. She trotted off with speed in her steps and made her way back to the creek. She plunged in. She needed to unwind and rid herself of this unforsaken fox stench.

The water was cool and it felt good. She plunged herself under the water, ducklike, letting the water run over her back. She stepped out and rolled in the sand, scouring her coat of the impurities which resided there. She then stepped back into the creek and felt the current take away the particles in her coat. She ducked under once, twice, three times and then stepped from the water. She shook the excess from her coat and padded over to a nearby rock. She leaped upon said rock and stretched out to dry her coat. Her nose couldn't detect any fox but at the same time it couldn't detect any trace of Damean either. Her heart grew sad once more. Crossing her paws she rest her head upon them and felt the heat of the desert sun upon her hide. It wouldn't be long and she would be dry, but until then she would lay here encompassed in her thoughts..all of them involving a black wolf.

OOC: Kippy I am not ignoring your charrie. I just thought Jaded brough Cullen and Symphony to Akiko and they were supposed to be talking with her.....check out your previous post Razz Smile love ya!

Glancing at the falcon she smirked. Indeed she was a beautiful and marvelous creature. Though his comment about motherly instinct kind of took her off guard. Such a thing was not capable of her. Well at least not anymore, while she had known so little of a mothers love, why should anyone else have it? "Her name is Altair...for future reference." She said as she looked back to him. Then listened as he regailed his own tale. Eric eh? One letter of from her own self dubance.

While he claimed he did not want to sound arrogant Eris seriously doubted that this comment was sincere. Modesty was not a trait common amongst dark wolves and he did not look the type. "Indeed" She said dryly. Then she chuckled. "Yes, parents do seem to give the most unusual names." 'Rina come back! Please, I'm sorry I couldn't protect her...or you.' Eyes were distant for a moment lost in some forgotten memory. But they refocused on Crown and then motioning her dial she said "Come let us walk. I would like to quench my thirst." Without waiting for a response she strode off in the direction of water.

OOC: Wooooowww, my posts feel small now.

.where the yellow brick road took a different turn. [Main Bo - Page 6 Crow10

Crow nodded in response to learning Altair's name. "A good name for the bird," he
responded simply. She did not seem to take his sarcasm to his own calling in jest
as he did, but no matter. Not everyone had the same sense of humor. A shrug
and the sentence was in the past. She responded to his comment about names.
And she grew distant. Was it him? He didn't pry, though the emotion he had seen
so often sent up a reflex to nudge her with his muzzle. He forced it back, knowing
it would be far too oersonal for a fae in a place like this. He was still a stranger to
her despite their common ground.

Water was what she wanted now? He let her lead the way, willing to follow and
continue conversation. He looked to his crow wordlessly and it soared off with a
single caw. It cast a shadow over his face as it flapped, giving off the illusion of
a shadow-kissed face. He pondered how long until the water was in sight and
followed silently behind Eris, as a ghost. A thought flitted through his mind. He
had yet to speak with Akiko. He figured she wouldn't mind a break from the
constant introductions and shook it from his brain. Water sounded good now.

Ooc:|| Change of plans =D Silent. I'll fill you in shortly.
Bic:||

He had been gone far too long. Far to long indeed. His black bod was moving silently through the forest before his territory boarder, and as he passed it, he made enough noise they could mistake him for an elephant walking through the lands of fire and ice. He let a soft smirk to think that this was something they could even think, then Damean picked up the pace. His first target was to find Akiko. He slowly came around a corner and saw Jaded and stopped in place. "Come on love" he said softly and walked over to her nuzzling her ear. "Told you I wouldn't be gone long, but there is much to do. Get up, come with me" he was asking, not telling, and he would get her answer if she followed, but he stepped away from her and walked away heading towards Akiko.

He walked up to a familiar scene. She was standing and there were wolves surrounding her. Two unfamiliar faces. His eyes searched elsewhere and he saw Crow speaking with an unknown female. Blade and Petra were speaking and he hoped their hidden love would be squealched already, everyone else knew. He was glad though to see Petra here. His attention was diverted to the two wolves standing before Akiko. He looked carefully at one and he felt his blood boil, not because he reminded him so of Lilith, but because there was a familiar scent wafting into his nares that made him turn sharply eyeing the old wolf in his pack lands.

Blue orbs stared intently at the brute. They would burn the soul of the creature if he had one, but Damean knew better. His heart half wanted him to greet the wolf and add his wonder to why he was back, but he half wanted to rip the brute to shreds. He kept staring at him though and he hadn't noticed himself walk over. "Rawbones..." he said in a weird kind of hoarse whisper. "What brings you back here...I thought you took your leave to find a more...suitable home elsewhere, you've got bravery to walk back into these lands..." he found himself glaring at Rawbones before a smirk broke out on his features. "Though I hope you knew you were always welcome back, atleast in my eyes, not in Lilith, we all knew she didn't fancy you, correct?, you did have a knack for being a little honest about your feelings with her" Damean didn't know if he should embrace to wolf in a friendly mannor or let cats lay, so Damean let himself stay still, but his ears caught the conversation to the side.

Cullen was looking at the white female after the darker one had brought them over. He had caught her name as Akiko. (I have to finish the post later!!!!)

Jaded~

Jaded lay there her coat glistening in the desert sun, clean and luxurious, like a portrait out of some creative artists rendering. She sighed softly and her emerald eyes focused on the light that was dancing on the creek. She thought she was dreamin when his voice came to her aud. Her jewels found his form and felt the soft caress and she knew he was real. She was confused but oh so glad he was here. Her eyes shined brightly at the sight of him and when he asked her to follow she nodded and stood, not saying a word afraid of breaking the dream by the sound of her voice.

Like his shadow she followed, quiet and silent. She knew where they were going. Back toward Akiko. She stood, still as stone as he stopped looking over the gathering of wolven. Her eyes betrayed nothing but inside she was full of joy. Only she wondered what circumstance had changed to bring him home now? Was he going to stay? Looking at Cullen again she wondered where Legend had gotten off to. There had to be some family tie there..it was just too coincidental that they look that much alike. She flicked a tawny ear and listened. Damean was greeting Rawbones, only Jaded thought he was dealing with him alot more civil than Rawbones deserved after some of the comments he had made. She looked to Akiko. Jaded knew the white fem would have a few harsh words for Damean in private, for all that Akiko covered for him Jaded didn't think she knew much of what happened. She didn't blame her whatsoever. She gave Damean a few choice words herself.

She reclined on her sandy haunches and waited. She fought impulse to rub her body all over Damean in front of everyone. Claiming him as hers and daring anyone to try and take him from her. Green pools absorbing everything around her. She was feeling possesive but at the same time insecure. Would he leave again? She had so many questions but they were questions that had to be asked in private. She let a butterfly sigh escape her lips and she looked away from his dark form and the blue eyes she could drown in. "Why is love so complicated for me? ' she thought as Blade and Petra's form came to view again. She shifted her weight. Time seemed to have slowed as she waited impatiently. It seemed that was all she ever did was wait.

.where the yellow brick road took a different turn. [Main Bo - Page 6 Rawbones-1

Rawbones watched her expression as he mentioned Damean and his previous 'mate', Lillith. She was nothing but a joke. He wondered if Jaded had been offended by something he'd said though, with the way her ears lay flat as they did. But even so, if he had something to say, he planned on saying it. As she gave an answer to his question, however, he found himself with nothing more to say on the subject, and merely gave a dismissive flick of his tail. He was disappointed to see her excuse herself and walk away from him. He certainly must have offended her in some way, that or she wasn't the social type. He wasn't surprised though; many were that way here.

He gave a bored sigh, looking in Akiko's direction. She was still busy with the new wolves, so he would not have a chance to speak with her until later. Grumbling, he stretched out his paws and lay his head upon them, glancing around to see if there was anything interesting in particular. Not much, just wolves socializing here and there, doing what they pleased. Not as hostile as he remembered it at one point, but it didn't really bother him. It was bound to change at some time, these wolves couldn't possibly leave peacefully forever. It simply wasn't in their nature, not even his. He would stir up trouble if no one else, just for the fun of it.

Just then, a large, familiar form made its presence known; instinct told him that it was Damean, but Rawbones lifted his head to take in a deep breath, just to make sure. The scent was registered in his mind, and the old brute lifted to his paws, steadily meeting the demon's fiery blue stare. He scarcely noticed Jaded coming up beside him. Hackles rose and neck twitched as Damean drew nearer, tail lifting into its natural pose, unafraid to make a challenge. Lifeless voids watched him, catching the struggle between positive and negative emotion running through his thoughts; which would be the victor of that struggle? As the King came to stand before him, Rawbones looked up to him; even with head raised fully, he was nothing in comparison to height with Damean. Yet, he still did not fear, never had, never would.

Auds perked as his hoarse whisper filled the air, then fell back defensively as the brute began questioning him sternly. You've got bravery to walk back into these lands... Rawbones felt his lip twitch with annoyance. What does he think I am, a coward? he wondered, about to snarl something in response when a smirk suddenly appeared on the brute's face. Bewildered, the elder said nothing, continuing to listen. He narrowed his eyes, keeping a guarded distance from the brute, yet feeling the want to forgive him. It was hard to forget how Damean had suddenly become angry with him though, dimissing him without the chance to apologize for leaving or say farewell.

Sighing, Rawbones turned aside, letting his hackles lie flat and taking on a more neutral stance, though dominance was natural in the way he stood. Glancing at Damean sideways, he parted his jaws to speak. "Damean, surely you know I am no coward?" he questioned with a tone of slight amusement, not wanting to dampen the mood, "I would have come back here regardless." He smirked, looking off to finally notice that Jade stood beside Damean loyally. He perked a questioning brow to her, wondering why she had told him what she had, though he did not fully understand the situation. Looking back to Damean, he spoke again. "You are a most hospitable leader," he said simply, giving a slight dip of his maw, "It's nice to feel welcome here." He grimaced as Lillith was mentioned. "No, she never liked me, and the feeling was mutual," he said with a sniff. He had never appreciated that big-mouthed, egotistical b.itch. Certainly nobody did these days. Her scent was long gone from the lands.

Shrugging that off, he shook his head, and looked the blue-eyed brute in the eyes again. "But as I remember, you weren't too fond of me either..." he said with a low tone. He paused for a moment, his eyes falling h.ellward, before looking back up again. "Did you ever wonder what I was about to tell you before I left?" he questioned suddenly, head cocked to the side slightly. Even if he had wondered, even if this was all just a thing of the past to be forgotten, would Rawbones tell him now? He couldn't forget how well they'd first gotten along, and how loyal he'd felt to his new leader, even though Shadow's leaving had broken his heart. He stifled a whimper at her memory, and that of his mate, Katell. He must not think of them like he used to, it would do no good - they were all gone forever, and he needed to move on, much as he longed for them. He gritted his teeth and pushed them to the back of his mind before his life could come flashing back to him, lingering forever just out of reach, and looked to Damean in wait of his next response.

Ooc- Erm, I'm going to assume we just ignore the previous post of Cullen? That was a little confusing XD

Cullen was looking at Akiko as Jaded had walked off and Symphony stood beside him. "We're new, as you can tell. We look for a home, and I look for my 'father' Damean Jager. Or so I've heard, he's not my true sire" He sighed and looked over at Symphony, she had known this much and some more. "I've resided in a pure pack for quite some time, my mother, Willow, left me and went off to see herself a mate" He let a soft growl leave his maw. "Sorry to share so much, but it's relivent from me to you it seems, so I'm not judged by my scent" He stood there watching her, waiting for Symphony to speak up her part...
--
Damean was listening to Rawbones and he felt guilt enter his features and stay there. "I'm so sorry old friend" he was honest with this part. "My anger had gotten the better of me then. I had taken out my frustration on you, and I shouldn't have. I'm sorry" he wasn't afraid to speak his regrets to this bru, they had become close before Rawbones had left, and this struck a new nerve with himself and he sighed and looked down in a regretful motion. "I did wonder what you had to say, and I regretted speaking out of line to you before you left. I had no idea why you were leaving, and at the time I didn't want to know, I was so angry with everything else. Will you ever forgive me. I am not angry at you for leaving, there must have been a reason, and I'd say let by gones be by gones, but I've missed you old friend. You were once a loyal member, an advisor to me if you so see it from my eyes" Damean felt himself choke a little.

"I was very fond of you. You were a family I never had, a brother if you will. The brethren of wolves in my pack. I'm not sorry to say it joys me to see you back here. Selfish of me it seems though, to be glad you're back in my lands." Damean let a smile spread on his maw and he looked up at the old bru. "Welcome Home" He said softly letting the lyrics fall from his lips. "And Rawbones, if you want to tell me what you were going to say, then please, feel free to do so, no matter how harsh it could have been. I deserve anger from your lips if that is so it. I cannot, and will not hold it against you. For like I said, selfishly. I'm so glad you are back here in Jabbar. There is much you've...missed. We shall catch up, a vouch for that" he let the smile stay on his maw, and he looked back at Jaded.

"This is Rawbones, a loyal member of our pack. Rawbones, this is Jaded, my mate. A little, No, forgive me. Alot more of a mate and leader then Lilith would have ever been. But the past is the past, and we do not dwell on the w.he.ores we once knew" he smirked, as for now he looked at Rawbones and winked. It was then he heard his name from the bru speaking to Akiko, but he didn't mind that conversation, this was more important to him. The haunches came under him and Damean sat down, making a more distinct focus that he wasn't here to cause trouble for his old friend. He looked at Jaded and motioned her to come up more and sit in their little trio.

Jaded~

Jade looked away from Petra and Blade. She was glad for them. Even if Petra seemed to hate her. Her attention fell upon Cullen once more and his mate. She cocked her head and then turned bck to Damean and Rawbones. Apologies had been made and friendly banter. Jaded still felt this was a dream. She wasn't sure how to act or what to say. Her emotions were in turmoil and she fought to keep them from being exposed. Her whole being wanted to touch Damean to make sure he was real but yet she stayed unwilling to wake the dreamer. She knew she wasn't sleeping but she could hardly believe her own jems. She looked to Akiko to see if she had noticed Damean then lyrics caught her sandy auds. They were Damean's and he spoke her name. Her attention refoucused and she listened as he told Rawbones that she was his mate. She was in shock, joyful shock but still shock. She hadn't thought he would have told anyone until things were settled in Jabbar. She licked her lips and heard Damean tell Rawbones that Jaded, herself, was more of a mate and leader than Lilith ever was. Her heart grew a little jealous every time Damean mentioned Lilith's name but she smiled at his compliment shyly. She saw Damean motion him over and she came softly.

She let her pelt brush against his before she sat down on tawny haunches. Touching him sent electricity through her. "Yes Jaded," she said in her mind "He is real, he is here." And she was content. But a tiny voice in the back of her mind called "Yes, but how long will he s tay?" Pushing the thought aside she turned her attention to Rawbones. "I am sorry I told you Damean wasn't here, Rawbones. I hadn't known he returned." she said softly unsure of her voice. She looked at the blue eyed demon and smiled gently. Her emeralds shining just for him.

.where the yellow brick road took a different turn. [Main Bo - Page 6 Akiko11

Dial swiveled to where Rawbones was and raised a brow at his abrupt snarl. Though she did not take it to heart. Instead she actually smirked. As she recalled he was never the friendliest wolf around. However she could not quite remember the reason he left, she vaguely remembered it had something to do with Damean and perhaps even Lillith. Ha, Lillith, great bit of queen she turned out to be eh? Dismissing Rawbones she turned back to the two young newcommers. As her hues landed on the hessian her eyes narrowed suspiciously. It it had not been for his scent then she would have pegged the wolf for Legend.

When the she wolf spoke first she assessed the fem and nodded her dial. She approved of the attitude that came off the fem, though she was close to stepping over the line with her body posture. As long as she yielded to Akiko then it would be fine. Akiko also noted her curious eyes, her own where a clear shade of cerulean. "Welcome Symphony, I am Akiko. Alphess here for the time." Eyes slid to Cullen and as soon as the words left the young bru's maw a sigh of sheer tiredness came out of her. If she had turned her body then perhaps she would have noticed the black mass that was Damean come ever so near to them. How oblivious she was at the moment.

"Of course you are.." She mumbled a bit sarcastically at the comment of him looking for Damean. She was just not cut out for this full time alpha stuff. How she wished just to recede back into her beta role. She was far too dominant for anything less then that. Just then she became subconsciously aware of a familiar buzzing somewhere in the background. But at the moment her attention was focused on Cullen. "You two are welcome here for the time being. You will be judged accordingly. As for you..." She looked at Cullen. "Damean Jager is absent from this place and I do not know when he is to ret-" Just then her aud twitched, the familiar murmur finally catching her attention. Her body froze and a the hair along her spine stood on end. A low growl rippled through her chest and she seemed in that moment truly menacing. "Excuse me." She said still facing them.

Body turned about and her hues bore into the dark hessian who now conversed ever so casually with Rawbones. Jaded too stood calmly at his side. Blood raced through her veins remembering the state the fem had been in from Damean's callousness. Stalking away from Cullen and Symphony the petite ivory fem flowed like a ghost over to the trio. Her eyes held only Damean and they were not friendly. "Damean." The word came out sharp and almost like she was biting the word out. The malice emanating from Akiko may have been comical due to her small size but anyone who dared laugh at her now better be digging their own grave. A frosty smile that was all sarcasm cracked along her features, her cold hard features. "So nice of you to join us." Again sarcasm and sharp lyrics. Jowls clenched as she fumed. How dare he come back here so damn casually! Just up and leave her with a message from Legend, he whom seemed to be picking up his 'father's' arrogance. "Perhaps you could grace me with your presence in private?" It wasn't really a request, which Damean and everyone else would be clearly be able to see. And if he wished to avoid a scene then the hessian knew the correct answer to this question.

Quickly she found the way to a shallow pond, the water was clear enough and she crouched down by the edge and began lapping up the cool clear liquid. She was not completely comfortable with Crow at her back but Altair had followed and sat in watch so she had no need to worry about looking behind herself. The heat of summer had taken its toll on her coat and she found that at last she had stopped shedding. Her coat was so thick it took some time when the warmer seasons came to completely shed. Standing again she dipped one gray hued paw into the water and flicked some water onto herself. The cool trickle of it through the hair felt nice.

Shaking her pelt once she turned and again looked at Crow. Certainly she had taken her time about getting a drink and such but who was in a rush? "You used to live here." It was not a question. "Was the earth charred then?" She had been aware of the fire when it happened but she was unsure if Crow had still been living in the pack at the time. At that point in her life she was not keeping close tabs on the members.

Damean had been waiting for Rawbones to speak when a too familiar snarl ripped into his mind. He turned his head sharply to follow Akiko as she came round into his view. Oh, she was mad, as she had every right to be. He pulled his lips back and gulped. "Okay..." he said as she spat her sarcastic remark. His eyes narrowed and he heeded her words. Half wanted him to decline her, and go with his darker nature to just let her spit out her rebukes here, get it over with, but he didn't feel like dealing with her hassle. He stood and stepped aside, motioning for her to go. "Go ahead" he said, but he didn't wait. Damean stepped away and made a beeline path to the only place that was full of real life left from the fire. A single patch of what, once was, of this pack.

Cullen was watching Akiko's every move when she suddenly snapped to attention and made a wake towards the one and only Damean. Cullen would admit he'd rather prefer Damean to be his father, but the odds were stacked against that. He sighed and looked to Symphony. "Well... guess this is, home." It was a bit annoying actually, to see this pack so very well unorganised and in a bit of chaos over this single bru. There was enough tension in the air he could snap it right now.

"I'm not quite positive I'll be staying here... you may follow if you wish, if I decide to leave, this place is rather...highly...I can't even find the words to describe it" he sighed and kept his eyes on her. His head came over and he nudged her softly under the chin. "Maybe you and I will finish this nap too. I feel worn down for some reason." he was actually unsure as to why that was...

The alabaster hessian came up behind Eris, standing to her left. He waited until
she finished drinking, then took his own turn to sip as she posed her query to him.
He came up fairly quickly, throat satisfied with the cool drink. a stray drop fell
from his maw before he spoke. "Was the earth charred then?" it made him frown.
His gaze lowered to the ground, and his tassel swatted away the winged obsidian
creature behind him. It took to the trees in silence.
"Um," His voice was low. "It
burned shortly after I arrived. I wasn't allowed much of a chance to get to know
my home."

Fire. It destroyed everything. He was sure if he went back "home" now it would
be charred, just like this forsaken place. It killed him to think about it. Rebirth was
so infinitessimal compared to the sight of cremation of an entire packland.
"It was
what gave me a chance to leave with my friend for a while and finish her training
away from here. It was hard to come back."
Damn. She had caught him in a
moment of weakness. Hopefully she wouldn't judge too quickly. It just reminded
him so much... He banished the thought. They were probably all dead anyway.

Petra felt him relax as she embraced him, though he seemed uneasy about her questioning. However, he seemed to understand, remembering the things that had happened to her in the past. And so, she listened to him as attentively as ever, not even noticing the moment when Jaded nearly interrupted them. She was much too absorbed in her love to be distracted now. An amused smile came to her face as he joked lightly. But it all made sense to her - why, after everything he had just gone through to tell her his deepest feelings, would he want to leave her? What would have been the purpose of this effort? She was comforted by the thought, and by his closeness, and allowed herself to relax completely. Her amused grin grew further as he said that she was stuck with him now; she didn't mind one bit.

As he apologized for taking so long, she shook her head, then kissed his cheek with the lightest of sweet, tinkling laughter. "I would have waited an eternity if that's what it took," she said softly, falling quiet again as he spoke more. She smiled. He was more than right, and she had been willing to stretch her patience to the ends of the world to wait on this moment. It had been well worth the wait, and she knew now that he had always felt the same as her. It was just so obvious to her now. They had always longed for one another's company, only for time to be stolen from them again and again. Now was their time, and she wouldn't have anything bring them apart until they were satisfied. Looking to him, she flicked an ear toward the growing commotion of the pack.

"Blade, perhaps now is the time for us to steal away," she suggested, glancing over at a distance to where the pack was growing restless. It was only then that she began to realize their great King had returned to these lands; she wished to welcome him home and thank him for allowing her back, but even more she wished to spend her time with Blade. Well-deserved time for them both. She stood up, and gave him a strange, mischevious look, flicking her curved tail back and forth. "They're so busy they won't even know we're gone," she said with a smile, "We deserve this time together more than ever." Her lushious plume waved enticingly, hoping that he would agree and go with her far into the packlands, someplace that nobody would find them and they could be alone for as long as they wanted. A vacation of sorts.

.where the yellow brick road took a different turn. [Main Bo - Page 6 Rawbones-1

Rawbones waited for his words to set in with Damean, then watched as his dark visage formed an expression of guilt and sorry. As he spoke his apologies, Rawbones could sense the truly deep hurt in his words, and he knew that their friendship had really meant something to him. He was surprised by this, but it was not an unwelcome feeling. He could not tell this brute no, that he was not willing to accept his apologies and forget the past. He smirked up at Damean. "Ah, you're too good a friend to let go," he said sincerely, "Of course I'll forgive you.". He heard the King choke a little, and knew something deeper than this must have run through his mind. And as he continued speaking, Rawbones knew it to be true; Damean must have been raised with little positive contact to his family. He could only feel sorry for the brute, and understood what a relationship like theirs meant to him.

Rawbones had had a sister, and he'd at least been able to grow up with her, though he had absolutely no idea of how she fared now. In fact, he had not seen her in seven longs years, since the day he'd left home. It seemed an unfair thing, for there were many wolves he would never see again, but he did not dwell on it. It had been too long to wonder where his kin was now. Instead, he concentrated on the now. The wolves he knew here. Damean, who spoke to him with welcome in his voice. He smirked as Damean invited him to share what he'd wanted to say all that time ago. It had been nothing awful, not at all. "Well, all I can say is I've missed this place terribly," Rawbones spoke, his low, gravelly voice rumbling as always, "Though now that we've made amends, I realize how much I've truly missed it. You were a great friend to me, and I'm glad that I can still claim that you are." This place was his home, and he intended for it to be so until the end of his days; this was where he had friends, if only few of them now, but it was the only place he belonged, and he'd have it no other way.

He refocused onto the hessian as he spoke of Jaded, his mate. Astonished, he turned to Jade as she came up closer into the group. He would not have guessed that she was his mate with the calm reaction she'd given to him earlier. He felt slightly amused by the fact he'd been talking down about Damean and Lillith right in front of her, and she'd kept cool the entire time. She must have been trying to hide something, and by the looks of it she was surprised by what Damean said as well. He smirked to her, perking his ears as she apologized for misinforming him earlier; her voice was softer than it had been earlier, and it was obvious to him that she had melted in the presence of her mate. He nodded in acceptance of her apology. If you didn't know, you didn't know, and could only give the information that you had in your head. Looking back to Damean, he knew that what he said of Jaded was true, for Lillith had been nothing but a power-hungry mongrel. She had demanded respect without any actions to prove it. Jade was obviously not the same, though he was still unsure how quickly he would accept her as an alphaess, even if Damean had such high thoughts of her anyways.

Suddenly he whipped around to see Akiko come storming over here, fire blazing in her eyes like he had not seen in a long time. The old-timer stayed in place as Akiko spoke with harsh, cold sarcasm to the returned King. Rawbones wondered what had happened, and why it made the Betess so furious that he had returned now. Surely she wasn't thirsting for power now, too? He just couldn't see that as something in her nature, and pushed it from his mind. Damean would fill him in later on what had been happening around here. For now he could do nothing but sigh as Akiko demanded his presence in private, leaving he and Jaded, that was, if she chose to stay behind with him. He wouldn't be surprised if she had better things to do. He watched them go off to have a talk, then glanced to Jaded. "Well, I think I'm going to head for the lake," he mentioned, cocking a brow, "Been there much?" The pack had often gathered there, but under a new ruler, new gathering grounds were chosen. He was not sure how often the lakeshore was visited anymore.

Shrugging, he knew he was going to go there regardless of who was there and who came with him. Flicking his tail, he turned away from Jaded, whatever she decided to do, and made his way through the dark woods to the cold lake's shore. The waters had always been dark and chilling, and it was no different now as he looked upon it. He bent to lap from its surface, and felt its icy waters fill his throat. Once satisfied, he raised his head high and looked around. There were empty dens around this area, and he padded to one in particular. It had once been Katell's den, one he'd invited himself into countless times, something she'd grown accustomed to and even enjoyed. Her scent was gone, not even a stale trace; even his own had disappated from it. He was disappointed, but it had been expected. He turned again, and spotted something else familiar. He padded over to the boulder, and it took a mighty leap for him to reach it. Then, contentedly, he flopped down upon it. Shadow's scent was gone too, and Prayer, and Sabre, Ireland and even Chained. He snorted, closing his eyes to rest and think about the past, wondering when days would come better for him.

Blade found himself enjoying this contact, despite him being solitary... or at least... formerly solitary. It seemed that all changed in a heartbeat. It was nice, really, not remember the last time he was this close to another- when he wasn't busy fighting. Since he'd joined, though, there hasn't been many wars, which he'd welcomed.

He looked up to see Damean had just returned, although... why? I'd expect him to be gone longer if he'd just left without a word. Legend had vanished around the same time as Cinder; I wonder if he knows? But, it did not matter if Damean saw him. If the former alpha was no longer alpha, he'd still feel some loyalty, but wasn't binded. Besides, he shouldn't try to get involved into pack matters at the moment unless he was literally pulled in. At this moment, it seemed he wasn't needed as he focused on Petra's voice, apparently having similar thoughts. Smirking, he said, "Yeah, I can imagine we won't be missed for a bit. Let's go, then." He started to walk away from the rest of the pack, making sure Petra was right beside him. They'd be back soon, and he figured Jaded would know why they were absent for the time being. Besides, they'd all know they'd still be within the packland.
