| Jaded
Jaded caught Petra's soft smile and she returned it with a bigger one before turning back to the wolves at hand. She awaited Crow to finish his meal. It seemed as if the bru was done far sooner than he should have been. "I am sure it will be lightened my friend." she said and then added "Are you sure you don't want to lighten it some more?" She wanted everyone to have full bellies of fresh meat. The pack deserved it. The hunt would provide food in winter when times were lean. Jaded's twin thorns flicke forward and she cast her eyes to Rawbones who was now standing and looking at Crow. She stood and shook her tawny pelt. "No rest for the wicked." she said in a warm tone and went to aide Crow since he already picked up the leg of the moose. Crow's black bird then came and helped himself to a morsel. Her ears flicked back and then regained composure. As long as the obsidian creature didn't call upon his kin she wouldn't say anything of him picking a few bites. Jaded reached for the moose's neck so she would be pulling tandum with Crow. She set her ivories into the animals cooling flesh and began to tug. It shouldn't take the three of them long to pull what was left of the meal to the hole and them plop Petra and Blade's kill on top of it when they were finished.

| Damean nodded as Eris spoke of not having a story. It ment she did, but she was too secret to say anything. He shrugged as his auds went up and he listened, sniffing the air at the same time. "Go back to the pack. I'll be along shortly. I smell bear, I want the pack together. If the meat isn't hidden, tell them to hurry their asses along, in those words." He growled and stepped away, stepping into the forest... (he's going to muerta) And of course, the king of these lands was right. There was a bear. It stalked slowly along the ground, its nose was pressed into the dirt, sniffing along the bugs, finding some had the scent of game on it, fresh game. It's big brown head came up and it marched faster into the terra. Food, fresh food, killed already, what a joy, it'd be so easy to just snack on now. His body rounded through the trees, the branches broke as they got caught on his thick pelt, and there was the pack, standing there, a deer still in the open. The griz opened his big mouth a let out a nasty roar of a growl, and then charged forward.... foooooodddd..... | |

| Crow listened to Jaded and glanced at her sidelong when she suggested that he have more of a meal, but let it pass as nothing since he had already gotten to business. He didn't need much to go on. There would always be more. If not in the form of savory moose or elk, then hare or fish, though the latter seemed unlikely with the coming winter season. His tassel flickered once to show her his acknowledgement, however. He didn't want to give the impression that he was ignoring her. As he tugged the deadweight, his companion returned, hopping and cawing about madly, as though warning him of something. He looked down at it oddly, leg in his jaws and one brow raised. What could the bird want? An icy cold breeze pushed his topcoat forward, and he smelled the danger before he heard it. A thunderous roar, the pounding of heavy feet... such a beast could not be... No. He dropped the leg immediately, eyes wide and boring into his alphess's with urgency. His heart pounded, but not out of fear. He didn't really know what it was. Perhaps there was no emotion at all and the adrenaline was just doing its job. "Jaded..." he spoke in low tones, but their volumes rose quickly. He knew that she was probably aware at this point of the impending danger, but the flow of the single word could not be stopped. "Bear." The hessian whirled around quickly to see the hulking creature running for the deer. What could they do? Risk lives as a unit to ward the thing off, or defend their keep? They could always hunt another one... but that left one less meal in the long run. The crow had flown at the approach of the hellish brown thing, but it s master stayed. His muscles locked and he stood stiffly splay-legged, prepared in an instant to move. He stood close by the moose until an order was given, in case trajectory was suddenly shifted to a bigger meal. But how he wanted to spring without command... It would be for the best. No need to get heroic and killed by a grizzly for nothing. How huge was this thing? Definitely more than twice his size. Three? Four? He let out a ragged snarl out of anxiety and for good measure. No one would take this kill today. He glanced back at the new queen quickly, awaiting a decision in moments before he took the initiative. | |

| Rawbones smirked at Jaded; luckily for him, he had stopped working a while ago, and he felt well-rested. He moved over to the moose body now that they were both ready to get going, and took hold of the other leg next to Crow. He pulled and tugged steadily, and soon they were on the move, until there was a sudden snarl ripping through the air. The leg instantly dropped from Rawbones' maw, and he looked to the source. He didn't need to be told when Crow said 'Bear', but it was probably a simple warning that couldn't have been stopped from slipping his lips. No doubt they were all startled. His lips peeled back, revealing aged fangs as he let forth a vicious growl of defiance to the oncoming bear. The creature's rage was quickly tweaking him out, and he felt the muscles within his neck and shoulders twitch and flinch involuntarily.
As it drew nearer, Rawbones felt himself giving into the rage that was natural to him in violent situations. Without warning he shot forward, lunging for the bear's face with rabid ferocity and slashing at its muzzle. Blood sprayed as he flailed his head, and though the bear was taken aback for several moments, it was soon more furious than it had originally been. A large paw smashed Rawbones in the ribs, sending him to the ground with a loud thud. The breath rushed from his lungs, and he heaved with the effort of drawing another. The roaring bear would give him no rest, however, and came stampeding at him, his paws thundering on the ground. The elder wolf snarled a challenge, and the bear put its teeth to his chest, mauling him. But Rawbones would not lie idly and die; his teeth were slashing once more, goring the bear's face. He had plucked eyes from their sockets before, and he would certainly not hesitate to do so again if the bear persisted.

| Blade was about to bend down to pick up one leg of the deer to assist Petra in draggign the carcass to where the other one was being stowed away when he vaugely heard Crow's voice. At that same instant, he'd recognized the scent for what it was, and he tensed, hackles raised, stalking forward, forgetting about the food. Looking to Petra, he said, "Stay safe. I fear this will get messy." He wouldn't tell her not to engage in battle, because he wouldn't try to control her actions for the sake of keeping her sheltered, but... at the same time, she was the pack's healer. Telling her to stay safe was the only thing he could say. His only focus was on the bear now. He growled loudly, itching to fight. Tacking a quick glance, Crow was awaiting instruction, and Rawbones started an attack, and was getting injured. To what extent, he didn't know, but Blade saw he was attacking the beast's face. Granted, the bear was large, but he'd been in fights with the smaller members of the bear family. This one had to be slower because of its size and bulk, right? He ran in a wide circle, positioning himself behind the bear, knowing he couldn't afford to waste the element of surprise and danger of directly aiding Rawbones. Being of a slimmer build, he knew his strength wouldn't be enough, but if he planned his attacks right, the tide would be turned. He mentally apologized to Jaded for not waiting, and charged at the bear's back, leaping off the ground of air and momentum. With a muffled thud, he landed on the broad bear's back, and started to tear into the bear's neck and upper back, ideally to startle the bear enough for it to give the rest of the pack an opening. Although he couldn't make much injury to the bear, he was able to give the bear some cuts, some slightly bleeding, others not. Nevertheless, there would be pain, and the bear started, not from the sudden weight on its back, but the new attack to it. He could feel it try to see the hinderance on its back, and in retaliation, Blade climbed up a little higher and snagged an ear in his jaws, tugging the bear's head back forward. He'd taken note of Rawbone's actions earlier, and wondered if he was aiming his attacks at a certain part on the bear's face, or just because it would hurt more. He could feel his grip slipping, as he knew it would, but he only hoped that the pack would take the initiative of the bear being distracted. Snarling, Blade knew the bear had figured out the percarious grip his claws had on its back, because the bear shifted its weight just enough to knock him off its back. He wasn't sure if the bear was still attacking Rawbones, nor did he know what anyone else was doing, because he felt a sharp jab of pain as the bear shifted position slightly. Its hind leg came crashing down on his side, telling him the bear was still occupied with what was in front of it as well as trying to attack Blade at the same time. He twisted to gnaw at the offending leg. He wasn't seriously injured, but he knew he'd be hurting for a while. Well... maybe bruised or cracked ribs at worst, but not enough pressure to break them. Unfortunately, the bear seemed to be able to tolerate this pain of Blade's teeth, since it wasn't budging. He thought about who would line up to kill him when the bear was finally driven away or, better yet, killed. That had been one of the more reckless things he'd done, and wasn't quite sure why he reacted in such a manner. Maybe he didn't want every member of the pack getting injured. Maybe he hadn't had a good fight in ages. Maybe he felt a temporary disregard of leadership and didn't want to wait for Jaded's ok since one of his packmates had ran into combat. Maybe he worried for Petra's safety, even if she wasn't even near the bear. Thoughts similar to these ran through his mind, and he almost laughed, wondering why he was thinking even while some of the weight of the bear was still on him. ((Poor Blade.. but one of these days, I was bound to get him injured somehow.))

| Jaded
Jaded heard the black birds cry and Crow's voice hit her auds. The disgusting scent rolled into her nose and made her hackles rise. She dropped the moose and backed away snarling. "Damn!" she cursed under her breath and snarled. She watched as Rawbones threw himself right into the bear's face. He gave the bear hell too until it pinned him. Then she saw Blade throw himself into the frey. Emerald eyes watched as her friend threw himself upon the bear's back and tore at his ear. She looked to Crow quickly. "C'mon. We have to help them." she cried as she launched herself forward. The bear was big. And he would be back if they didn't kill him. She harried his back legs darting in hoping to slash a tendon to hinder the beast. She saw that Blade was now pinned and she went for the leg that held him. Her sharp teeth sunk deeply and the bear roared in agony. She tasted it's metallic blood and it let off it's front end to turn toward herself and Blade. Now or never she thought she sliced down hard, through hair and muscle finding the fragile cord. But before she could sever it she was hit hard and the bear threw her off of him and stood on his hind legs. The wind was knocked out of her and she was up on her feet once more. She was bruised and possibly hurt worse but but the bear was off of Blade and Rawbones now. Her adrenaline was keeping her going. She shot Petra a demanding look for her to get the grizzled old Rawbones up and make sure he was okay. She barked and snarled harassing the now one eyed bear. Drawing him away so her friends could regather. "Filthy beast!" she yelled "Scavanger, lazy, stupid." She backed up hoping her pack would come to aid. She wracked her brain to figure out how they could kill this beast.

| Petra bent down to lend her strength to Blade as he began to drag the body they had just been eating from. Her tall ears swivelled as she heard the word bear, and she looked up to see the collosal beast charging toward the pack and their dinner. She looked to Jade, wondering if she was going to order something, but Rawbones dove at the bear without waiting. A look of terror came to her face as her beloved jumped in after the elder, and both became trapped under the bear. Her teeth were bared and she barked threats at the creature, but she could not make herself heard nor feared. She wanted to jump in, to help, but she knew she could not be selfish - Blade was her one and only love, but her duty was to the pack. She needed to keep faith in them all, that they would pull through this together; and when that time came, she would be there to aid them all in their recovery. She watched as Jaded jumped into the fight fearlessly, turning the bear's attention from Rawbones and Blade to herself. What bravery each of them held, and she admired them. But she didn't have time to stand around staring in awe. She saw the look Jaded gave her, and ran over to Rawbones where he was slowly pulling himself to his paws, blood seeping from the wounds in his chest. He looked a terrible mess, with blood dripping from him and staining his face. She approached him, about to lend her shoulder to him for support, but she was surprised when he suddenly snarled at her and snapped his jaws. She jumped out of his range, startled by his reaction to her. Did he really hate her so much, that he wouldn't accept her help? How stubborn and headstrong! But something seemed off, and she looked to his face, his silvery eyes which seemed to tell a tale.. Rawbones felt the wieght come off of him slightly, and vaguely recognized the scent of a packmate amongst the scents of blood and gore. He clawed at the underside of the bear's chin and throat as he lifted his head upward to ward off Blade. He did little damage with his talons, but he managed to shuffle out from underneath the bear while Blade, and now Jaded, distracted it. He flipped over to his stomach and slowly pushed himself up to his paws when he saw Petra coming toward him. He resisted the urge to lash out at her, and instead snarled at her and snapped his jaws in warning. "Don't come near me, miss," he snarled, neck twisting to the side as his jaws clashed against open air. He was barely capable of controlling the rage; anything alive with blood under its skin could become a target, but he needed to focus to make an aim at the real enemy. His eyes showed no emotion, just deadly intention. He saw Petra back away, and he motioned for her to stay away from him. I will kill her if she comes again, he thought. Deep down he knew he did not want to, but he could not control it if it were to happen. He had once ran from his dear mate Katell after she'd snapped at him in annoyance. He never wanted to hurt her, but he knew the results of his illness long, long ago. He would always be this way, so he needed to do what he could to protect his friends. He dragged his eyes away from her, and found the pelt of a big, brawny behemoth. "Die, you... foul creature!" he managed to say in between spasms of his muscles. He growled, feigning a lunge and retreating again. He did not take his eyes off the bear, for it was his only target. It would not be long before the bloodlust took over again, and he would need to draw blood once more, even at the risk of his life.

| Ooc:|| Ooooooooooo Rawbones...he gives me the chills. Keep going! Muwahaha, kill the beast, kill the monster. I'm enjoying this way to much. XD Like. OOOOOBER much, but when Damean gets back. He's going to be so sad...poor Rawbones. =( But now...now is the time for my new charr. =D WOOOOT! Intro. PULEASE! Bic:|| She was white, as white as winter and then some. She was a gift from the gods and a monster from hell. There was nothing left of the soul to this wench but there was everything left in who she had become over the years. If anything, she was a knight of her own boat, a captain of her own sword, she was rather mixed up, but she was more sane then any wolf dare to be. She had seen the dark lord and his pack mate walking, and as he left, she entered. There was the scent, there was the snapping of jaws, and the beautiful beast ran into the lands, passing Eris as she did so not giving her a care in the world and hauled herself into the scene of chaos. They were wonderful. Each and everyone of them had a part to play in this lovely story of life. And yet, as she watched the attack their attacker she felt pity for the bear. It was stupid to come here, to think that wolves were dumb enough to give in so easily. There were shouts from a voice to his own friend, and he held such a crazed look that she almost fell in love instantly. No. She did fall in love, he was everything she had been looking for, except in age, he was old. She felt sudden loss and then came the other voice. She looked to the black female, struck in awe with the green eyes, and then her quick actions. There was the other male, the one who defended everything around him from the wolves to the lands. Oh, this was a home alright. And now to make herself welcome, she would aid the wolves here and then ask them for a settlement of some sort among their lands. White teeth, as white as her pelt, as white as her eyes were shown to the world and she lunged forward. Attack, Attack, Attack, that's all her mind told her. Don't worry, just attack. She aimed for the legs, for the bear drew back to stand up and look bigger then them. But he was a dumb creature, for wolves were far better then a bear. She bit the calf of the bear and he roared. She took a last look to the elder wolf as the bear lashed out blindly at him. "Get him! Kill him!" She yelled, as if she belonged, as if she gave permission to the old wolf who bled so much to just loose control. "See the blood, and take it, take it all!" she was excited and she danced among her paws as she waited for the wolves to kill the brown beast... | |

| The elder was watching the bear, holding back, looking for the next best place to strike. He turned away from the enemy only when a sudden, yelling voice entered his auds. Crazed, silver eyes looked upon an unfamiliar body of white, though everything seemed unfamiliar to him now. His lips peeled back. Who was she? She yelled, commanding him to attack, to draw more blood and take it all. Did she know what she had stumbled in upon? He turned back to the bear, seeing it up on its hinds, seeing an opening as it exposed tender flesh; the only danger was the heavy forepaws and the thick, razor-sharp claws that it wielded. But danger was not an issue for Rawbones at this time, and he thought nothing of the consequences of what he did next.
He moved with long, quick strides and leapt up the front of the bear, deadly traps latching onto the exposed flesh of the throat. Though his fangs could barely get beneath the skin past the thick barrier of fur and hide, the pressure applied by his jaws was enough to collapse the bear's windpipe and prevent it from breathing. The bear whapped him with its paws, beating his back and ribs with its paws, leaving massive bruising and long gashes. But there was only so long it could possibly hold out for, and Rawbones wasn't releasing his grip any time soon. He tossed his head several times, gouging the tips of his fangs deeper until they thrust into the skin, and he ripped more desperately when drips of blood fell on his tongue. Growling and snarling his pleasure, continued his assault, ignoring the ever-weakening blows to his own body.
This would be over soon, and both he and the bear knew it. It was just a matter of outlasting the bear. Soon it slumped to the ground with no energy left to fight back. His teeth were still locked in place, and he tugged and growled joyously as though drawing some sort of sick, twisted pleasure as he further drew the life from the now helpless animal. At last the pulse under his fangs ceased, and an involuntary shudder ran through his body. He tore his teeth from its flesh with a nasty ripping sound. Blood dripped from his maw and ran down his legs from the wounds in his chest as he looked to the ghostly stranger that had joined them. He licked his lips and stalked towards her, a demonic flare lighting up his normally lifeless silver voids. "Who might you be, that comes upon us so sure and confident?" he asked, snapping his jaws toward her. He was not safe yet, he still twitched and shook like he was mad, not right in the head.

| Jaded
Jaded had watched as the bear had stood upon his hind legs and roared. She snarled and was about to lunge forward to draw the stupid beast some more. That was part of a bears power...it's stupidity....they never knew when to quit, never knew when it would be best to run to live and fight another day. But before she could launch herself a white streak blurred past her. Akkiko? Jaded thought at first but the size was wrong. The white fem came to aid but she was calling out like she was part of the family. Jaded pinned her twin peaks even further. She may unsure of her place of yet around her family but strangers were entirely different. Her tail raised automatically and she saw Rawbones attack once more. Bloodlust..she thought as she watched the elder fight like a young warrior. She lunged with him. Harrassing the bears hind end to help provide an opening for Rawbones. "Old fool.." she thought with favor "You are going to get yourself killed."
Her ivories found her old mark and started tearing at the bear's tendon again. She felt the bear growing weaker and when it slumped to the ground she relased it's hind leg. She came around the front end and heard Rawbones ask the white fea who she was then saw his jaws snapping at her. He was not right yet. Death still waited at his jaws, a baited trap. She stepped forward dominant and called to her comrade softly but firmly. "Rawbones my friend. Well done. You are a hero today." She wagged her tawny plume at the elder who seemed to have blood all over his coat. She stepped closer daring a snap of his jaws but she was alphess...she ruled these lands and she knew Rawbones was her friend. Would he dare or would common sense come in and tame the bloodthirsty killer that was Rawbones at this moment? Jaded's tawny tail wagged at Rawbones and she turned to the tresspasser showing Rawbones trust even in his state.
"Petra." she called "Tend the wounded starting with Blade." Jaded knew that Rawbones would need a bit before being touched. "Many thanks for your assistance fem. I am Jaded, Alphess of these lands. What is your calling and your business." Jaded said cooly to the white vix. It was a demand not a request. Jaded hadn't liked the fact the fem before her had called out to the pack like she was one of them. Her aid was appreciated but Jaded felt the fem's words showed an over confidence. She held her dominant stance and put herself between the fem and her pack.

| After a while- he didn't know how long anymore- the weight came off him, and he rolled in the direction opposite of the bear's legs. He noticed Jaded trying to rally them together, but it appeared as if Rawbones had his own agenda, which didn't involve anyone else. He suddenly turned at the sound and scent of another who arrived, and by the white pelt, for some reason he though of Akikko, but it couldn't be, judging by her scent. It was some stranger he'd never seen, cheering them, or rather, Rawbones on. His pelt bristled, unsure what to think of her, but he'd leave that for Jaded to deal with. Back to the bear, though, he'd notice the bear distracted once more, and Rawbones killing it. It looks like they had just gotten more meat to stash away. Seeing the fight was done, he turned back towards his packmates, his posture seemingly fine. If one didn't know any better, they'd have thought he looked to be in normal health, but he knew Petra and maybe Jaded might see through this trick. In reality, he was sure he probably shouldn't be standing, although judging by the pain, he was able to reason that, most likely, nothing was broken now that his mind was a bit more clear. Now that he was thinking clearer, too, he turned his gaze to Petra, wondering how worried she was. He hadn't intended to worry her, but it was clear now that some of his actions would now possibly have consequenses- some of which he would not want to deal with, but he assumed it was part of life now, and that he'd have toget used to it. He barely noticed Jaded telling Petra to start treating them as he fell back into thought.

| Silver eyes were intent upon the unknown female, until Jaded made her presence known, loud and clear with her body language, soft in speech. Eyes snapped to her, recognition of his former self was not there right now. A different wolf stood in his place. Her tone was firm, however, letting him and the others surrounding that she was in charge, and this was no time for overriding her power. But she was foolish to believe that he had control over his body, foolish to trust him. He didn't want her to trust him when he was like this. He heard her words... she was trying to compliment him, sending a friendly wag of the tail his way. But none of the friendliness that had been in him a short time ago was present. His look was cold, an unattractive sneer plastered to his face. Then she came nearer. What was she doing?! He drew in a deep breath, his nose wrinkling in the beginnings of a snarl when she stood beside him and turned her back. He jumped away from her suddenly, tail swinging in the air, like the sudden realization that she carried the plague had hit him. He did not want to hurt her, though, and that was why he paced now around the farthest edges of the small gathering. He had seen her tail wagging, knew its meaning, but could not bring it out in himself yet to return it. Yet he watched with keen interest to the confrontation now, wondering who this unknown femora was, and why she was here, acting like she belonged. He would not find it annoying to hear the voices of his packmates making demands, but to hear a stranger shouting like she were some sort of leader was more than frustrating. He'd been in too much of a bloodlusting trance to deny the feelings she invoked in him, but otherwise he would have ignored her or told her off. Now he had to see how well Jaded would handle this, and see how the other femme would react. And he needed to walk off his energy, get himself out of this raging fit. He didn't like it, but it was something that had always been a part of him. Those that knew him, knew this part of him. Too bad there were so few left that had known him. All of these wolves would have to get to know him and understand his moods. Suddenly he wished he was young again, but wishing was for the foolish, so he stopped short in his thoughts and continued to move and watch... Petra watched the continuation of the battle as several different wolves took their part in the fight. Jaded distracted the bear, caused it pain from behind while Rawbones took hold of the throat and gave it the fright of its life. Her eyes flicked to Blade, watching as he rolled out of harm's way. She sighed relief, and looked back to where Rawbones clung, unyielding, to the bear's throat. Everything seemed to happen so fast. All at once the bear was on the ground and an unknown female was being interrogated. But just before that, Petra was given orders from Jade to heal the wounded, which included Blade and Rawbones. Had their Alphaess received any injuries? Petra spied her over, and though she did not seem hurt, the Healer would have to confirm it with her later. She ran to Blade, who still looked a little ruffled from the battle, but he seemed alright. Still, she had seen the injuries he could have possibly sustained. "Blade, where does it hurt?" she asked, sniffing him over and prodding lightly at his ribcage on both sides, and searching for any clawmarks. She hoped he wasn't going to act proud and tell her he wasn't hurt, for she'd never believe it, and she would get the truth out of him. So it would be easier to get it over with from the start. She suddenly stole a nervous glance over at Rawbones who had suddenly made a scene and gone off to the edge of the clearing. Something was wrong with him, but what? She tried to remember anything she might have seen before like this, but she assumed she'd been too young to remember things like that. Besides, as a youngling she didn't have contact with many adults besides those who adopted her. She'd only ever seen the Alphaess Shadow, never spoken to her. She'd been a peasant back then, having little contact with anyone of high status, though the pack's dynamic had certainly changed since then. Keeping her worried thoughts of going near Rawbones at bay, knowing she had helped heal him before and everything would be okay, she looked back to Blade. She wanted to know about every ache and pain so she could collect the right supplies needed to help him. | |

| Quick to react. She liked that. And as the black demon with green eyes stood before her tail raised, voice commanding she couldn't help but smile with excitment. Her eyes landed on the elder as he spoke to her, his voice was that of a demonic creature. He was like her in a small way. She had never lost so much control like he had, but tick her off enough and she was a royal pain in the ass. Her eyes shifted from Rawbones to Jaded, stalling in answer, watching as the pack was commanded about by this female. Jaded. That was her name. Interesting. "It matches your eyes, very nice" She said softly, giving her a nod of her head out of respect when she stated her rank. "I've come from far far far lands, I used to rule my own pack, but they all were... I don't know. Slaughtered, we couldn't fight off the bigger beasts like you all can! That was...that was amazing!" she felt the excitment well in her chest. "my calling is Elvyra. Simple as that, easy to remember, not so easy to forget" she winked to Jaded and then looked at Petra and Blade. "I hope all your members will heal just fine. She seems to hold herself with such knowledge. I commend you on your wolves here" She smiled and looked back to Jaded. "I've come in search of a new home. I don't like being in the lead it's not my style. And I've looked at your neighboring alliance pack. Muerta, but it's so set on rules. You and Damean lead a rather one wolf pack. It's like...it's amazing. I've never seen any wolves not related so close before. I praise your ability to lead a pack as so... as if you need my praise, I am but a stranger to you" She gave a wide grin again. She was but a stranger to them, to Damean, he would know almost everything about her before he came to this far away land of Fire and Ice. She wasn't here to caues him trouble, she was here to aid him in his pack, like all the rest of these wolves would. "So if you would have me. I would prove my loyalty in any way I can. Aid your healer in finding any herbs, aid you in the bear, whatever you need I'm your gal." She felt her face hurt with her grin... | |

| He watched Petra as she ran to him, checking him over. As she touched his side, he refrained from flinching and held back a growl, not wanting to worry her even more than she already was. Blade heard her ask where it hurt, and he said, "It's not too bad- just the ribs. Not broken, I know that, but maybe cracked if not merely bruised. Other than that, probably a few mild scratches." He wasn't too sure, since he hadn't sustained injuries such as these for a while, but... it probably should have been a bigger deal to him. In some ways, the injuries brought him back to reality- one of which eluded him at the best of times. A result of his favorite past time of thinking, unfortunately. He knew, though, that he had no wish to lie, especially to Petra. He considered what he had said the truth, since he did tell her his injuries, but he dimly noted that he still had his habit of lessening the extreme of his injuries. Then again, he surprisingly had quite a high pain tolerance; the result of being picked on as a pup. He offered a smile, as if saying it wasn't too bad. He wasn't paying attention to any of the others at the moment, but probably would if they were to come any closer. In the back of his mind he wondered about Rawbones, but knew he was still quite new to the pack when the other vanished for quite some time, so he didn't know the older wolf at all.

| Jaded
Jaded stood firm and saw Rawbones dart away. She knew he would control the beast that held him now. Even if it just meant walking away so he couldn't harm anyone. She looked over her shoulder at him while he paced. A proud look in her eye and she looked back at the white fem as she spoke. Elvyra as Jaded now knew her as. Her words were thick with honey and Jaded flicked an ear. Was she hear truely to find a home or did she show up with sweet words on her lips only to weasle her way in and stir the hive? Jaded was skeptical and held her alphess stance as the wolfess seemed to act like such a whelp in her unablitiy to contain her excitement. "Thank you for your aid Elvyra and for your kind words. As far as finding a home here I will late you stay temporarily until my mate returns." Jaded shifted her weight and continued. "But let me assure you " Jaded said with a steeled glint to her eye "you, Elvyra, are a guest here until I can conference with Damean...a guest, not a member of this pack." She wouldn't just let anyone into their ranks without knowing them first. No matter how kind and reassuring they felt. She flicked her tail and turned to look over at Blade and Petra. The healer was tending Blades wounds. Good ...Jaded thought then she can tend Rawbones next as long as he is more himself...not now. Jaded would have her look at her last. She knew she had some heavy bruising on her hip but nothing that rest and time wouldn't heal. She sighed. Damean would not be happy about this. Her eyes drifted to the sky to see Eris's bird. By the looks of it she wouldn't have to wait long. Little did she know that Damean was not in Jabbar anymore.

| OOC: FINALLY able to post after dad stole the comp from me every night. I'll shorten up Crow's bear thingy and mark my place I guess. Crow had finally taken the initiative to leap on the behemoth as soon as Jaded's hint was given. He had taken a ghastly leap to its back, pulling at the scruff and ears of the brown mass to tear its head from anyone near the vicinity of its teeth. His operation didn't last long however, as Rawbones made quick work of the bear and dispatched it rather quickly. He had a desire to congratulate and thank the old man, but he made quick note of the bloodlust that controlled him even after the kill and veered away. He had seen the episodes in others and knew what he would be in for if he got in the way.He approached Jaded instead, stalking over in that ethereal manner he had, coming off as unintentionally eerie. He opened his mouth to speak, but first spat out a chunk of fur that until now had gone unnoticed in his jaws. The bru grimaced in disgust at the sudden disgusting and raw flavor in his mouth, but regained composure in a moment's time. He noticed the new femme and was tempted to flash a smile, however he refrained, finding priority in his queen's council. "What are we to do with the hulking dead beast, Jaded? I hope we're not just going to let it fester..." Out of sheer coincidence, as Jaded's eyes wandered to Eris's falcon, his bird finally returned to perch once more on his shoulder, soothed with the passing of danger. 'Even he won't peck at that disgusting thing... Seems 'birdbrained' has become more of a compliment lately...' | |

| What a bitch! She wanted to growl and snap at this female before her but she held her emotions in check. She did not want to temp fate with Damean if this female was the alphaness and he was the alpha male. "Maybe I'm wrong" she looked at Crow as he came up and asked about the bear, Elvyra watched him as she stepped past Jaded and over towards the direction of Petra and Blade. She was about to come ask if they needed anything but her eyes went over in the direction of Rawbones. A smile crept in the bottom of her soul and she turned her golden eyes to him. "Are you sane again?" she asked, looking at him with some question. She wondered how many she could bring to the side she wanted. So far, there was one against her favors and that was the alpha queen. Damean would for sure see her way, specially for who she was, or even who she had been related to. She looked back at Crow and smiled towards him, she didn't know if he'd notice or anything but she didn't care. It was time...and when Damean came back there would be more to have time with... | |

| Jaded
Jaded's tawny ears flicked toward Crow as his voice hit them. She looked at the bear and turned up her nose. Fenris did they ever stink! " I suppose we should bury it to keep it's stink out of the lands." She said. "We shall dig a hole right next to it and bury it where it lies. The damned thing is too heavy to move easily." Plus Jaded didn't want any more of it's ichor in her mouth then she had to have. Jaded hadn't meant to be rude to Elvyra but she didn't want any trouble. With all that was going on Jaded was stressed a bit to say the least. Legend came to her mind and then Eris broke her thought when she broke cover. Jaded turned to her as Eris approached and spoke. She wanted to curse when she heard Damean's message. It wasn't like they were laying around letting the meat rot. Her talons dug into the soil in frustration and she stepped closer to Eris. Leaning over she whispered so only the fem could hear. "Where is Damean?" she asked but in her gut Jaded knew he left the lands. She bit the inside of her lip and turned before Eris could answer her. She trotted over to the bear and called out to her pack. "We need to get the meat in the ground before we have another visitor. Crow, Blade..if you are able take care of it. Petra see to Rawbones after he is settled please. Elvyra if you hunger help yourself to some meat before it is shoved into the hole, Eris would you can either help with the burying of the meat or help me in digging this hole. Your choice." She had spoken like a queen should have and then looked at the sandy soil. Green fire flashed in Jaded's eyes...he could have told her he was leaving. She set to digging. The rancid smell of the bear didn't aid Jaded's mood and she didn't look up from her digging to see if the others had set to work. She trusted them to do so. She took her frustration out with every grain of sand that slid beneath her toes. She was tired as it was but she sent rooster tails of sand out behind her. Where did he go? She knew. He had to have gone to Muerta to see his children and Akira. She bit her lip. Jealousy flared within her again. Damean had reassured her before and that was wonderful but now she felt insecure again. Maybe it was the way he disreguarded telling her he was leaving or just that fact that she loved him so much...she didn't know. The hole grew deeper.

| By instinct, Blade turned when he heard Jaded mention his name to possibly help Crow get the meat from their hunt into the hole. He glanced at the bear's carass again. It would be good to get that done before any others arrive, but... would bear meat attract other bears or such? He was about to step towards Crow, but stopped, remembering he hadn't heard the verdict from Petra yet. He settled back down, glancing at Elvyra curiously. By first appearances, she was a strange one, but perhaps she'd been caught in some rush of excitment from the fight? He pushed these thoughts aside; they weren't important right now. Once more, it was to Petra he looked at, wondering if she'd force him to rest a while, or was his condition fit enough to help with some some tasks. At the same time, he hoped she wouldn't overwork herself some how, since she had to check over Rawbones as well. Suddenly, he felt an overwhelming protectiveness. He didn't really want her to go near Rawbones until they were certain he was thinking straight again. It wasn't like he was going to think any less of his packmate because of this, but he would be wary in future fights.

| Petra looked over Blade. He seemed honest in his tellings of what injuries he had, and she did not question him further. She nosed his ribs carefully, and decided he was right - they were not broken. It was difficult to tell if they were fractured. "Well, you will only know if they are fractured if they cause you a sharp pain," she mentioned; he would have to be the judge of that, "If not, then they are sorely bruised. Just take it easy, please." She gave him a stern but loving look, knowing he would understand. He was commanded by Jaded to help move the bodies of their hunt, and she nodded to him. As long as he did not overly exert himself, pulling the carcasses would not bring him further harm. But she would still like to add something to his scratches, just to make sure they did not become infected. "Blade, make sure you come see me in my healing den when you are finished," she said firmly. She turned swiftly and loped toward her special den which was located at the base of a large boulder. There, she stored all of her medicinal herbs, berries and plants. Some of them would dry out in time and become useless, but she could always replenish them. It occured to her, then, that she had made no preparations for winter. Horror-struck, she entered the den without hesitation to sort through things and see what she had left. There was little of anything left, and most of it had shriveled uselessly. She frowned, berating herself within her mind. She had been too preoccupied to even think about her duties, and now she would not have the supplies she needed to bring her pack through the winter. What if some tragedy were to happen, and she could not help any of them? This bear fight was bad enough, but she had a few meager supplies to work with. What if something more, something worse were to happen? They would be helpless, succumbing to infection and pain while she stood back without any answers; she would be as clueless as any of them. Shaking her head, she took up some old but still useable marigold and began chomping it into a thin pulp, putting it upon a dried leaf. Her ears flicked, and she decided she would waste no more on small scratches. He was young and healthy, and his immune system would take over anything that the marigold could not do for him. Rawbones' condition was more worrisome. She wanted to see to him right away, but he would not let her near him. Fearfully, she did not want to approach him, either, and wondered when it might be safe to do so. Clawing the ground indecisively, she decided she would stay where she was until Blade came back. Then she would see about tending to Rawbones. He just needed to hold out until his rage had depleted, and then Petra would do everything she could to patch him up and send him away with good hope. She knew he had pulled through alot, and hoped that age had not hindered his ability to survive. | |

| Rawbones looked around warily. He could hear his name being spoken between different pack members, but he seemed unable to keep up with who was saying what. Eyes flicked towards him nervously, some with concern, others simply avoiding him. He stopped moving, not trusting himself to go closer to his packmates just yet. Though he felt more in control, anything could set him off again in this delicate state. He stood stark still, staring with silver voids of lifeless energy. Suddenly an unknown femora was approaching him, and he was set on edge, hackles rising and tail flashing into the air. His claws dug tentatively into the sod, tearing at hell's ceiling as she drew nearer. What did she want?
"Are you sane yet?" she asked him.
His lip curled with great annoyance, but he did not feel provoked by her question. He was merely irritated that this newcomer had the gall to approach him with such a direct, slightly offensive question. "I am never quite sane," he rumbled, teeth clicking in her direction, "But that is not for you to judge, miss." It was not just his rabid bloodlust speaking for him now. He was well-aged, and he was cranky most of the time with those he did not know. Usually he was better-tempered around the ladies, but he wasn't fully in his right mind just now, and she was not even a part of the pack yet. He had no reason to care about her yet. He canted his head to the side, taking a step forward. "So, who are you?" he asked her, his tone unfriendly, demanding, "Have you come to stay?" He might consider being more welcoming if she had plans to stay, for then they would have no choice but to get along. Fight amongst packmates got the pack nowhere, and he was far beyond learning that by now.

| Jaded
Jaded tore at the ground and soon was aided by Eris. They made short work of the hole and soon it was plenty deep for the bear. Gracefully leaping out of the deep hole, Jaded paused to shake the sandy soil from her tawny pelt. She licked her lips. Damean would not be happy about this when he returned but at least the bear was dead, thanks to Rawbones. Jaded cast her pointed maw in the old wolf's direction. He was more in control but still not all the way there the new wolfess was beside him. Jaded huffed but she made it sound as if she had sand up her nose. "Crow could you lend me your fangs and help pull this ghastly thing in the hole?" Jaded asked. Her emotions were in turmoil again. Just when she thought all was good and he promised he would stay he left again. Why hadn't Damean told her....did he not want to share his life with her? She sighed softly and grabbed ahold of one of the bear's paws. The smell was horrid. She would bathe after this for sure. She wondered where Akiko had gotten off too also. Jaded's teeth gripped the bear's limp paw tighter and she heard a light snapping of some of the smaller bones. Jealous heart....she chided herself. Knowing Akiko was probably with her sister and Damean was too.

| Blade heard Petra's agreement with him about his condition, and he allowed himself to quickly think about what whould have happened if they were strained just a little more. It was a good thing the bear's attention was diverted when it was, or else he wouldn't be able to help out now. He grinned and replied, "I'll be at your den right after I finish, then." A gentle, yet protective look came over his eyes before she turned to head towards the den, lingering a bit after he himself turned to walk towards the meat. He looked down at one of the carcasses- the one he and Petra were eating at earlier- the bear was trying to get at, and wondered if this would be considered over-exertion. Many of the wolves seemed to be needed to get the bear out of the way. Hoping that nothing too bad would happen, he picked up a leg and started dragging it towards the hole that had been dug earlier. He'd known generally where the hole was, but with so much going on in his head, he failed to recognize exactally where it was. So when one of his hind legs kept falling into empty space, he immediately dropped the leg and quickly regained his balance, wincing a bit. He proceeded to mentally shake it off for now and push the meat into the hole. Then he turned to see if there were others that hadn't been yet been put into the hole.

| Crow had taken to the first task Jaded had asked of him. The digging began, but soon ceased the task to take up another. The beastly white form came forth willingly. He knew what was to be expected though, and the stench hit his nose immediately. His lip curled at the horrid sting that whirled in his nares. Despite it, he managed a grin. "You look to be enjoying this well enough, Jaded. Perhaps I'll just leave you to it." With a graceful step to her right, he cocked a brow and took up just after the brutish beast's wrist. "Ugh," He scoffed around the limb. He proceeded to pull, evening out the weight between him and the alphess, though he tried to do a bit more work and make it easier on the stressed femme. His bird followed him but was of no help to him, and he found himself growling heavily at it. It was strange for him... he hadn't been so mad at his friend before. Perhaps it was just the times. He would get over himself soon enough - if the tension ever managed to dissipate around here. Now when the hell was Damean getting back? | |

| Jaded
Jaded stopped tuggin on the rancid bear's paw and dropped her mouthfull. She laughed at Crow. "Would you rather I chomped on you?" she asked smartly and wagged her tail before concealing her emotions behind lock and key. She had to watch herself better. Crow should have never noticed her tension. It was one of the things she prided herself on was keeping everyone guessing what her thoughts and feelings were. Damean threw that all out of whack. She picked up the paw and pulled in tandum with Crow. Throwing her weight they were moving it slowly. Inches at a time. It was a big ghastly thing...disgusting. Jaded didn't even know how they could reproduce smelling that bad. They must think it's attractive and she snorted laughter at the thought. Once the bears head and feet were hanging over the rest followed without too much effort. The body fell into the hole with a heavy thud. Jaded spit the hair from her mouth and shook her tawny coat. She felt like she needed a bath after that. "Ugh!" she said. "Filthy things. Better get it covered before nightfall. They eat their own dead if they find them. We don't need to attract any more." Nightfall was coming fast upon them. She looked over to Rawbones and saw that Petra hadn't attended him yet. "I will be right back to help Crow." Jaded said to the white male and then padded over to Rawbones and the snowy colored newcomer. "Rawbones." she said, her voice friendly like always but also held an authority to it. She was alphess..he had to obey, she had to start acting more like one. "Dearest we have to have Petra look at you. You are bleeding all over my sand." she said hoping the bit of humor would help Rawbones settle himself. She wagged her plume and gave Petra a glance to come over.
