Blade stopped when they arrived, and said, "Akiko will probably be here soon." He'd positioned himself just in front of Tristan, between him and Akiko's den, figuring she was still inside. His companion was currently silent, as if in thought, but the topics were hidden, and he didn't want to look any deeper to try to figure it out.

At least the pack didn't have to worry as much about the future, as there were pups here now. Soon enough, though, they'd have to grow up to the expectations of the pack. They were old enough to learn not to be as open as the pure wolves, unless they already unconsciously picked that up. His thoughts briefly went to the recent wolves who'd come near after the war. Did aligning with Midnight Meadows cause the more pure of heart to think they could amble along and live here? Lucky for those wolves Balthier'd still been around, else they'd be in a worse situation. Others had sense to turn around and not bother to try to join the pack during Blade's rounds. At least in person, they still had their edge.

The time is seemed to take to wash off her dirt and mud filled coat was forever. Both had matted aganist her fur and was like a bug stuck to her body. Jace hadn't said a word in some time. That made the female wonder a bit. Just like her heart... wondering what it would be next. Pure or dark? That was all her heart was now a days, decideing on good or evil. No questions about it, she had to choose one of them. But one day...one day...she would have to choose. The female had come to that today. To Jabbar Junayd or Midnight Meadows? Her heart screamed out the pack she was at. She decided on the pack and hoped to be a member.
Kali was still wondering about the words the bru had spoken of when they was head to the place she was now... white wrench. Who was it meaning to be? Later, she would ask Jace, hoping to find the confusing answer to the question. The red wolf looked down upon her fur to see that it was clean. Kali got up quickly and shook her fur until it was dry...sorta. She looked at the bru, telling him through body language that she would like to meet the others. The wolves of Jabbar Junayd, her pack mates. She walked beside Jace, not touching but close and ran into the distance. But before long she saw other wolves up ahead of her small, short muzzel. The female looked at them. She walked up to them, but around 6 feet from one of them. He was a dark brown wolf (Damean). Kali didn't say anything.
She waited...

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeFri Jun 08, 2012 5:34 pm

It is an amazing thing how the growing of age changes the mindset of a wolf. As Damean's body grew, his jobs, deeds, responsibilities grew, and he sub-consciously knew all of this, without having to be told. His bloodline drew him to his deeds, and as he stood there waiting for his friends to turn and talk to him and Dai... well duty called. His nose picked up two scents and he turned seeing the face of a red wolf. His eyes flashed to Exodus and a bummer feeling grew in his heart when she nodded slowly, raising her brows, letting him know it was something he needed to do. Even now, while Akiko was not around, just like he had dealt with Tristan and Conall. He took a deep breath and bowed his head down. Anger grew a little but he didn't show it. He had to leave Echo, Conall, and Da... to do his job, again. This would have to change. His mind wandered over the pack, his pack... and he knew there would have to be changes, changes he would have to make. "Excuse me, I'll be right back" he turned and headed towards the new wolfess.

His eyes looked down at his feet for a moment, watching them as they lead him towards the new wolf he didn't know. How was he to address a new wolf, Blade and Petra had met Tristan and Conall before he had come, now, he was doing this on his own. He knew the others would be watching too. This made him... proud? His head lifted about a trots away from the she wolf and he nodded as he came up, looking up to her. How was he supposed to introduce himself? Welcome them? Invite them in? No... He remembered Tristan and then let his deep breath go speaking as he did. "You've walked onto the lands of Jabbar Junayd. A powerful army from the shadows of life, welcome if you so see it fit. I'm Damean Jager, who might you be, and why, if it's not to much to ask, choose to come here?" he adressed them casually, why make a huge deal about new wolves. He stood about two wolf lengths from them.

He was asking the simple of questions. The ones that mattered the most. Who and why. He didn't care for the past right now, not yet at least, he'd have to get to that later. His mind was going over many things as he waited, though his focus was on them completely waiting for any words to be said.

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeSat Jun 09, 2012 3:12 am

The femme wagged her tail. Yes, they would find her a name. Daija was forgotten. A new pack, and a new name. New beginnings. She was practically overjoyed, though it would take a while before the weight of the past would be lifted from her heart. She followed Damean to where the others had gathered and watched him move resolutely between Conall and Echo. Another wave of jealousy ran through her, the heat building up in her cheeks. She realized what she was feeling and shook it off quickly, tossing aside her furrowed brow. What the hell was the matter with her?

Echo was answering Exodus rather formally about their reasons to hunt. Pfft. Show off. The thought was only lightly tinged with spite, though jovial in its intent. Damean was so thrilled to introduce her to the others. She couldn't hold back her smile at the way he reacted. She couldn't not smile around him really. Ugh. She had to focus. She gave a nod to Exodus and the others, regarding Rawbones and Crow, who had just approached, with a vague familiarity. She had seen them too in their gathering at Midnight Meadows. She returned her attention to the fae they had gathered around. "Sorry I don't have a name right now," She said rather bashfully. It was a strange sentence to say. "I'll find one." She was just excited to spend time with the pack, to hunt, to get this new start, well, started.

Damean left them to go greet another newcomer. Though she appeared outwardly attentive, her mind was drifting yet again. He was growing so fast. The way he took to his role was so natural. Already he seemed so powerful... The fact that he would be king hadn't fazed her yet. He was still just Damean to her. God it was so... Attractive... What? No, they had listening, hunting to do. There was no time for these foolish thoughts. She wouldn't allow him to be a distraction for her if they had a beast to take down.

Conall was excited to see the new femme join them. The more friends, the merrier, though he made a mental note to be cautious around her after that breakdown of hers. He was also completely oblivious to Damean's intentions when he came between him and Echo. Their friendship was the only thing apparent to him. At least for now. Fate forbid something as trivial as love would come between them. He knew nothing of the sort. He was thoroughly impressed by Echo's response to Exodus. So his father was right. He would have to maintain three things here, aloofness, seriousness, and a sense of propriety. Though it didn't always seem the case, at least when he and the other youngsters would have some time to themselves to romp about.

Exodus called Crow over. Oh god, not again. How many times would they see one another in a day? The white bru stalked over, silent as ever, though he offered a wave of his tassel to the others. Conall kept on his best poker face, nodding respectfully and keeping his distance. He wouldn't let on the mixed bag of emotions he was feeling about him, and especially not his secret desire to gain the drake's acceptance. Crow stopped in front of Conall, looking him up and down, cold and calculating. "And what about you? You part of this little hunting party?" He gave no reaction as the boy nodded. "Tell me then, if we're to let you come and play along: If Exodus and I are at the front of a moose, Damean and Echo are at the back, and their friend is running beneath its belly, where are you?" Conall stared at him hard for a moment. He couldn't be serious. But he responded nonetheless. "...Out of the way."

Crow's lip twitched. "Right. Out of the way," his tone was affirmative. Turning away, he walked to where Rawbones sat, away from the others, and placed his rump beside him to wait for the cue to go. Inwardly, he was practically bursting with joy at what he had just done, trickster that he was. In time he would show Conall his welcome side. But he couldn't help but antagonize the crestfallen child for now. He would get a chance at the hunt sure enough. This was more like Crow's personally fabricated test. If Conall could make it through his bits of torment and challenges, then maybe he'd have a shot at making it. They weren't a dark pack for nothing, and though his new friends may have been nice, he would have to learn very quickly that not all of them would be. Hopefully the kid would actually dare to snap back at him instead of just moping around and submitting.

Echo looked away from the adults and grinned as Damean came near. He always brought some sort of life to the pack or another. "We're going on a hunt," she replied, but didn't bounce around as everyone else did. She was learning to contain her emotions, though her heart thudded in her chest with excitement. Damean suddenly paused, and Echo watched his face fall into that of business. It seemed that before he was even really allowed to express his happiness, there was a newcomer that needed taking care of. She watched him approach her, and for the first time, Echo realized how much he was growing. The long legs were longer, the peppery coat now darker and fading to black, and even his voice sounded... different. It wasn't deeper, but it wasn't high and youthful anymore. Perhaps it was just the tone he was using. She remembered when she had looked in the water before Crow came, catching only a glimpse of herself, and she knew that she was growing as well. It was only a glimpse, though. She knew she was changing and growing, but didn't know how or what.

"Hello," Echo said to the new fem. She was tempted to call her Daija as was her name when they met last season, but that was her name no more. "Have you ever been hunting before?" she asked, sensing her anxiety. She didn't want to push it by asking why she was changing her name or why she was no longer in Midnight Meadows. She was also the larger of the four of them, perhaps because she was older. Echo noticed Crow approach Conall out of the corner of her eye, but they were too far away to catch what their conversation was. She wagged her tail, not in the excited manner of a whelp going on a hunt, but in friendly greeting, hoping to welcome her just as she had welcomed Conall only moments ago.

Petra padded around the denning area, trying to locate Akiko's scent. The Beta was needed, but she seemed preoccupied. At last she was able to pinpoint a den from which Akiko's scent swirled, although Petra was uncertain whether the femme was still inside. Lowering her head, she called down the den's entrance, "Akiko?" Then she backed up, hoping she would not be greated with annoyance. She didn't like the thought of waking the Betess from her slumber, if she was still within, but it was time that she came back to her duties. The small hybrid femora moved away from the den's entrance and stood in the middle of the den area. She sat down and tilted her head back, letting loose a small, light howl, calling to Akiko, still unsure if the femme was within the dens. Then she turned around and made her way to Blade's side again, to wait and see if Akiko would appear at last. She hadn't seen the snowy wolfess since she'd returned, and it would be nice to reunite with all the pack members.

A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Rawbones

Silver misted voids watched as Conall stepped forward to introduce himself, showing excitement about going on a hunt. It was okay that he was enthusiastic, but he had to learn to contain himself, especially in the presence of elder wolves. Others would pick on his light-hearted attitude. Then his attention was taken by Echo, and he perked with interest as the she-pup spoke. She spoke with a maturity that was beyond the moons she'd been in this world. There seemed to be something about her too; the energy surrounding her was unlike that of the other pups. She did not seem to possess the same naivety that was expected of a whelp. Rawbones was sure that she would be a very interesting addition to the pack; she belonged here, that was certain. The older male stood and brushed himself lightly past Exodus, his tail lingering with her for a moment, though he did not look to her. He was looking at Echo; he was about to speak to her, but he was distracted by a sudden outburst. He looked up from Echo as the sound of whelpish excitement filled the air, and cringed slightly. He turned to see Damean yipping and wagging his tail as he spoke with the other young femora. Then the boy came trotting over to give his announcement, and Rawbones couldn't help but smirk at him. He sure was growing - in no time, Damean would grow taller and fill out, most likely to match his father's stature.

Rawbones moved, taking a step closer to the young prince, putting himself in the middle of the group for a moment. "Well, why don't you introduce her?" he asked, giving Damean a mischevious grin, putting him on the spot, "We are about to go for a hunt, all of us." Just then, an unknown femme appeared, standing silently just a few feet from Damean. Rawbones glared at her as he hoisted his tail high, letting a low growl rumble in his throat. He was about to go address her himself when Damean excused himself to go attend to the female, looking rather disappointed that his job wasn't over yet. He stopped where he was. It will only get harder from here on, Rawbones thought, pitying the youngster somewhat. There were few wolves his age that were responsible for taking care of pack business the way he was. He would have to talk to Damean later, when he was not distracted by his friends. For now he turned away, looking to the female that Damean had welcomed into the pack; she came closer, and Rawbones had expected that she would give her name, but was surprised when she simply said she did not have one. He was about to let his name be known, but wrinkled his lip as the two girls got to talking. He wasn't going to bother with the little she-pups. The old brute walked out of the group, seating himself again.

He was soon joined by Crow, and he nodded to the brute as he came over, sitting down. Yawning, he had nothing to say. He looked over to where Damean was dealing with the new fae, and he decided he would go back up the youngster. It may be in Damean's blood to run a pack, but he was still young and it wasn't likely that he was fully comfortable fulfilling his role alone. He hoped he could offer the bru some courage by standing near to support him. He had to know that the pack was behind him, and Rawbones wanted to be the one that really made that statement to Damean. Just by being there. He nodded to Crow again as he got up and moved himself beside and slightly behind Damean, just close enough to let him know he was there. His eyes shifted to Kali, and he examined her up and down, his silver eyes cold and dark. He was here to make sure she gave respect where it was due; she had yet to show any sign of respect or disrespect, as she had been very silent, but she could turn either way. He would make sure their young prince was not disregarded.

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeSun Jun 10, 2012 8:46 am

Kali looked down upon the cold, hard ground as she heard the others in the group walked in front of her, beside the one she stopped behind. Then the bru had asked a question. Before the other came, she mangaged to get the question out of her mind. "I'm Kali, and why did I choose to come here? When I was born, I was born to two dark hearted wolves. I was to follow in their footsteps." She stopped but continued, looking at the hard ground still. "But my parents were killed. My heart was deciding on evil and good, but in the end...I choose dark. And now, my heart is dark...100%." She looked up at the male, who was bigger than her. He didn't make any eye contact, which was not something she liked to do. She hated eye contact.
But then she felt like someone was watching her. Her hazel eye glanced carefully at another wolf, who was looking at her from the top to bottem. That made her more nervious, like he was going to attack at any minute. He seemed to pity her in someway, and it made her quite uncomfortble. As the one that was watching her looked away, she slightly looked back, watching he sitting with others, but she turned away quickly as she saw the head turn of him. Kali didn't say anything and waited for the gaze to stop.

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeSun Jun 10, 2012 7:23 pm

Damean watched the female. She didn't look at him, she didn't look at anything but the ground. His eyes narrowed at her when she looked up and then, yep, back down. He was watching her without thinking and spoke up. "You're not going to fit in here if you act like that" He said bluntly sitting down feeling Rawbones come up behind him. He looked back at him and shrugged then back at her. "Not only will you not fit in, but you'll be killed" He sighed and watched her still. "This is Jabbar Junayd, do you know what that means Kali, it means powerful army, would you stop looking at the ground, if you walk these lands have some respect for yourself and everyone else here. You're new, do you see that, you can't act like a coward, if a wolf doesn't kill you the lands will. I know what some others say about Jabbar being weak, but that's a cover..." he really didn't know, but this female talking to the ground and not to him, annoyed him. It wasn't her in general, but it was just the actions happening. He didn't want that here. He stepped to the side and paced in front of her. "The pack is going on a hunt, here is your trial. You follow the leads of the pack members. It'll be your test. Do you understand. I give you two nights to prove to me you belong here. Don't take any one of these wolves for granted. After two nights time, come to me. Until then, just know I'm watching. You're the first and last person this will ever be granted for." He nodded towards the others. "Go introduce yourself to the others." He turned towards Rawbones and shrugged then walked off towards the dens. "I'll be back, I'll send Blade and Petra, just tell everyone to start without me"

Growing up was going to be hard. He had to watch that female, he needed some help though. His body moved him towards the dens. His mind was blank as he came up the trio of wolves. "Blade. Petra. Take a break. The pack is going on a hunt, why don't you go have fun, there is a new female. Kali. Watch her. And A new pup, older then me, watch her, make sure she doesn't get hurt, and Echo. I know everyone will watch her, Conall is going too, please just make sure none get hurt. I don't want you to have to work over time Petra. That's if you guys want to go, if not... then I dunno do whatever" He was a pup. No. He was the pup of a king. His eyes landed on Tristan. "What do you want to do?" he asked looking directly at him. "Stay here? Or go on the hunt... if you can. Or help me watch the new wolf? I've got to watch from an advantage point so I'll be climbing a bit. Something tells me it's what my dad did and I'm supposed to do it now..." his words were straight forward. He didn't feel like messing around right now. He'd play later, when he was done doing what he... 'had' to do. Akiko could take him hunting later, teach him some things with anyone else who didn't go. Where was Akiko. He looked around now waiting to spy her but she wasn't close... or, she was watching, she was always watching.

Exodus listened to Crow banter with Conall. She clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes. He was always pushing buttons, but that was who he was, and it worked. Her eyes watched the pups then, reacting to the new pup coming with Damean to the group, then, he had to leave and she sighed. Her father never had any fun either... not until Jaded came along. She watched him walk away and she almost wanted to laugh, he looked just like Damean, only smaller. She wanted to wrap him in a hug and tell him it didn't have to be that way, that he could enjoy being a pup, but she'd have to wait till he got back. She felt Crow walk by and sit next to Rawbones but then their friend stood and she felt his tail run up her side. She wanted to smile... inwardly but she did on the outside and almost giggled but held it in. He played it off so well, tease. She snapped back almost instantly when he walked over and sat near Damean. Sooner then later though Damean stood nodding towards all of them, then what, sulked off? She felt her chest tighten. She knew what that meant. He wasn't going to go on a hunt anymore. Her father had walked away plenty of times like that. It was scary how much they were alike.

She tried to not display anything in her face so she turned back to the pups and smiled at them waiting for things to turn into a lesson for hunting. Her mind wandered over where the future of food would be. Where they had all learned to hunt... they, there was only Legend and herself back then, and now there was so many new wolves here, so many pups.

Petra was surprised to see Damean coming their way, though he didn't look very happy. The little hybrid tilted her head, wondering what was the matter. She padded over to meet him as he came closer, offering him a smile, though she wasn't sure he would return it. As he came in to give orders, she was even more surprised. He was sounding more mature, though he needed a little work. And he needed to know more about his pack members. She glanced to Tristan, knowing he wouldn't be able to join the hunt even if he wanted to. Leafy green pools returned their gaze to Damean. He seemed much too stressed for a wolf his age. "Damean, why aren't you hunting too?" she asked him, her voice soft and shy. She wondered if she even had the authority to say as much to him. "You could always have your pack mates help you with your duties. You should be learning, and having fun, instead of busying yourself watching newcomers." She sat down, wondering what he would have to say. She didn't mind going hunting, it was something she particularly enjoyed doing, but she would much rather see him go instead. She had enjoyed learning and practicing to hunt when she was a pup, and it was something she wouldn't have changed for any high rank.

A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Rawbones

Rawbones watched as Damean addressed the femora. It seemed that his skills were quite coarse, but he needed to say what he needed to say, and it was merely a warning to Kali, who seemed rather confused as to which side she really belonged with. But the boy's attitude towards him was cold, and Rawbones felt bothered by it. He couldn't blame Damean if he was angry though... he'd been absent for so long, probably at times when he had been needed. Still, there was a tight feeling in his chest, as well as anger. He didn't like to be disregarded, and he didn't like Damean's mopey attitude. He had to be stronger than that. Again, the boy looked at him with a shrug, then turned and walked off. Rawbones dug his nails into the ground, hardly supressing a growl, although his lips curled back momentarily. Teenagers. Damean seemed to be quite moody at the moment. Only a few moments ago he had been so happy to have his friend stay with the pack, but now he was giving up on the hunt and sulking away. He wanted to chase after him, stop him and make him come with the rest of the youngsters, but he didn't have the time for it. He needed to stay in the present, for those who still wanted to learn.

Tension danced all around his form, causing him to clench his jaws. He turned, looking away from the fleeting form, his gaze shifting back to Kali. He wasn't going to apologize for the young prince's rough way of speaking, but he wanted her to at least feel like she had a chance. "It was only a warning," he said, his tone low and gruff, "Just keep your head high, and feel the pride in being where you belong.. If you think you belong." He moved away from her, flicking his tail in a beckon for her to follow him. He trotted his way back over to Exodus, glancing over the young wolves that were gathered around. He was no longer in any mood to deal with pups, so he hoped they were ready to behave like adults. He looked to Exodus, his expression softening slightly, though his darkened mood still shone through his eyes. "Let's get moving," he said, then glanced behind him to see if Kali had come forward, "The new wolfess is named Kali. She should be joining us." Then he turned away from her, gazing upon the younger wolves. "Enough chit-chat, it's time to get serious," he said, looking to the femmes, "Follow our lead, and ask what you need to." He turned away from them all, feeling stronger than he had in moons. He was ready to get this done, and ensure that the next generation knew how to take care of themselves, and provide for the pack.

Tassel in the air, he began scenting, quickly catching the smell of prey. This was the season of plenty, and they would have no problem finding something. And with so many wolves at their disposal, they would be able to get something to feed everyone - moose or elk, perhaps. He looked back to Exodus, then Crow and Kali. He let out a bark and headed off, trotting at a good pace toward better hunting grounds.

A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Haerijgbeug-1

The words of Damean was harsh-ish and cold, landing on the fem's shoulder like a rock on fire. Once he was done, when he was far enough to not hear, she growled slightly. I'm not a coward, she thought to herself, and still growling about the comments of the Alpha in training. She didn't like eye contact, it made her think the eyes she was looking in was her enemy, wanting to attack her. If she did look into the eyes of a wolf, she would lunge at them, grabbing at their neck, feeling the warm blood aganist her white fang and pink gums. It wasn't her fault. But this Damean dude didn't even know where she had come from! The wolves she lived with were assassins, spies, and warriors, trained to kill on command, quickly. She was next in line to be the leader of the packs assassins. Sadly, the pack went in flames, everyone was killed, but her. By that conversation, Kali wasn't 100% dark...she was darker, like 1000% darker.

Just then, the creeper who had stared at her, walked over to her; he seemed to speak like it was nothing. Nothing! It made her mader, but she didn't look in his eyes, afraid the anger would take over her and attack. She acted like she was; only to be looking at his forehead. It was close to his eyes...just not that close to his eyes.

When he had turned to head to the other new female, she looked at him. He seemed that he was nice, a little bit, since this is one of the darker packs in FnI. The bru had started talking to the new female. She sighed and followed the bru up the the others, beside another wolf. She would find out later who everyone was. The bru earlier had spoken to her and another fem that they needed to follow their lead. She nodded and when he looked at her, she looked behind her. She looked around for Damean, not seeing him, but the real reason she was so that she didn't look in his eyes; to unleash her inter assassin. He let out a bark and she slowly followed behind the others, incase the bru decided to look back at her.

((Kali is turning even more evil. New Theme Song right Here,Click.))

A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeTue Jun 12, 2012 5:14 am

Damean handled himself so well... but he was suddenly skulking off in a manner she didn't entirely understand. The way things looked from here, it seemed as though he had been rather harsh with the new fae. What was with the sudden mood swing? She wanted to follow him and find out what was wrong, but she knew there were more important things to be done. And if she wanted to be any part of this pack at all, then she would have to stay focused on the task at hand.

Echo shook her from her far off daze with a simple but rather warm greeting. Her nerves about past events melted away quickly. She could tell the white fae was trying. She offered a smile with her response. "I've caught a few small things on my own... but not something big. I've never hunted with a pack. Have you?" She found herself genuinely curious. The way Evon had touted her back in Midnight, there was no telling what she had or hadn't learned. And she wouldn't put it past her, either. The tail wag was returned, happy to have found friendship in another female, despite the slight jealousy she harbored within.

She snapped to attention immediately when Rawbones approached them. He was right, it was time to get going. It didn't seem that Damean was the only moody one around here. His mood had bounced around from place to place since she had arrived. He suggested they follow the lead of the elders and she nodded. Of course she would. What choice did she have?

Conall was relieved to get a move on. He hoped beyond all hope that he would have a chance to prove himself. Not just to Crow, but to the others. Though he regretted not having Damean with them any longer, it gave him an opening to fill. And he could make his father proud, being successful on his first pack hunt. They had hunted together in their travels, bringing deer down now and again when hunger had struck particularly deep, and only after he had grown enough, but it was a two man job, nothing big like this. It was a shame the old man couldn't join them. But he would only get in the way. He noticed Rawbones bringing Kali into the fold with them and dipped his head once to the new fae. He wasn't sure what kind of interaction to have with her yet, so for now he opted to keep his distance.

At the bru's signal, he pulled up quickly alongside the two younger faes, this time beside the nameless one. He hadn't gotten to know her too well yet, but he wanted to. And something was telling him to give Echo some space. Not for her own sake, but some warning in his heart gave away the idea that she was someone's particular interest. And besides. He had hung around her plenty for now, and the bigger pup deserved some time as well. Tassel flicking to and fro, he felt his heart begin to race. He could hardly wait to be a part of this and bring down a real kill.

Crow watched Rawbones from afar. Exodus must have been working her charms on him because he certainly hadn't been so chipper around the others lately. And he certainly hadn't ever been so... Inspirational. Especially not to newcomers. But if that moody kid Damean couldn't handle his pressures right now, then what else could he do about it? Though he had half a mind to go chew him out for walking out on a hunt like that...

He breezed by Conall silently as they began to move out. Before he got to the front with Rawbones, he shot back, "Looks like you might be able to make yourself useful after all." It wasn't a friendly tone by any means. More neutral if anything, a warning, rather simply to not fuck anything up. He felt his stomach growl and realized how little he'd eaten since his loss that while back. Without so much as a glance, he noted the shadow of his pet crow pass over him and the others. It was off to get a spectator's seat and wait for their leftovers. And it knew where the live elk and moose were, a dead one was sure to come of them.

Tristan hadn't been very vocal around Blade. There wasn't much to say about anything, and light banter was neither a pastime nor a forte of his. Akiko sure seemed to be taking her time, and he wondered whether she was even around. He caught wind of Damean headed their way and looked up to see him, sure enough. The bru stood, curious as to why he approached. Hadn't they had their interaction?

He intended to send Blade and Petra off with the others. A hunt? He felt a little swell in his chest when he heard his son was among them. He must have been taking to the others quickly. For such a large group to be going, they had to be taking down big prey. In the back of his mind, he feared for Conall's safety. It was a moose that had destroyed his own leg, and he could only pray that the boy wouldn't face a worse fate. Or the same one for that matter. He had a wide range of skills, but none of them perfectly honed. This would be a test indeed.

Damean spoke to him directly. He chuckled humbly. "I couldn't hunt if I tried. Not big game, at least. I would only be a burden." He thought about it for a second, looking down his white muzzle slightly at the smaller bru. "But I can climb well enough if you really want the help watching this new female." That was as much as he had to offer. He could help at the vantage points. Petra interjected, consulting the young man about his duties. It was true, for one his age he seemed particularly burdened. Tristan thought to himself. He realized that being unable to hunt made him dead last when it came to eating. He could only hope that they would be kind enough to leave him something edible or that Conall would bring him something back, should their luck prove to hold out and bring a large meal. Though he knew that he was at the mercy of others, he could only hope that his lameness wouldn't result in an omega position in Jabbar. He knew how the rank was treated, and it was not promising.

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeTue Jun 12, 2012 6:01 pm

Petra spoke to him and he nodded. He could do good, but he sat down and smiled, attitude changing completely. "I'm going to learn from watching them. See. If I'm supposed to be alpha male, this is something I need to do. But don't tell anyone. I want to watch them. I want to see how they move together as a unit without me, and how they move as a unit when I'm there. I feel like I was treated differently just now. I pushed this new female just now. Snapping at her, but I didn't mean it. I have to know who's loyal and who isn't you know. The ones, you guys, who were all here with my father, well, you all can be trusted can't you?" He asked her this when Tristan spoke up and he nodded and looked back at Petra. "I just want to see how they move, if I act like I'm sullen and sad, it's a distraction right? But to what extent, to how far will they react to my behavior as a future leader... when in reality, it's not just about me. I can't feed them alone, and I can't spy and kill and protect everyone, they have to do that on their own too" He smiled at her, wagging his tail under him stirring the dirt in the den area. "Don't worry. I'll probably round you up later to teach me, how's that?" He smiled and stood looking at Tristan then.

"Petra, if you want to go too you can. I think it's going to be interesting to watch them. Really. I'm excited, so let's go. Blade, do you want to go too?" He didn't wait for an answer and he looked for Akiko but didn't see her. He wandered off, there was someone missing. Zai... His eyes narrowed. "Anyone seen Zai?" he asked, looking around for him too. He wondered where that shadow of a brute was. He pushed it to the side though as he watched hi steps as he walked behind the dens and headed upwards. Something was drawing him to an exact area, like he was being guided by a spirit towards a point of vantage to watch them. He was small, and was able to move quickly up the mountain side. It wasn't to steep but it was a walk and soon he came to a ridge and looked down. He could see everything. His tail wagged quickly. He could see the whole pack. Rawbones was walking, Conall, everyone! He smiled and sat down. He could see the direction they were going and he didn't notice if the others were coming he was focused on what the pack was doing. Who would take up the rear. Crow was up with Rawbones and Conall. Dai... she was moving. They looked like kinda specs but he could tell who they were. "Amazing" he said looking at them watching them move as a unit. Exodus had stood and walked over to whom, Kali? Yes, the new fem. He smiled still wagging his tail while sitting there. His auds were pricked up listening to everything up here. An eagle flew around the area he was at then swooped down towards the wolves directions following them. Scraps for later? No, the bird went off towards water, fish. Eagles caught their own food they wouldn't rely on the killings of something from below.

He felt like someone was next to him, but he didn't look, he watched the wolves move and wondered what they spoke to each other, how they moved amongst each other, and when the hunt came... That would be exciting and his blood began to run just thinking about it.

Exodus saw Rawbones come back, the female Damean had greeted right behind him. She heard his command to move out and she stood walking over to her. "Rough day?" she asked as they began to follow. "Don't worry, he's trying to find himself, he has a lot on his plate being the father of a king he can't learn from. Everyone here... even you, are a teacher to him. So if you see him again, hold your own and explain yourself. Don't worry, if he's anything like his father, he will listen to anything you say and nod, but with his mother, he will explain himself back and come to a common ground. Let's enjoy the hunt and not bother with him." She smirked. He was her little what, brother? Yeah. Damean was her little brother, and he had a lot to learn and she had to take a stand, prove herself too. Exodus smiled at her and then looked forward heading after the others. Her breath was catching as the thrill and blood lust grew, she wanted to hunt, she wanted to feel the ground racing under her as she pushed against it drawing herself closer to a kill...

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeTue Jun 12, 2012 7:22 pm

He watched the exchange between Damean and Petra, with small input from Tristan. As soon as his finished talking, the young prince turned to leave, probably searching for his vantage point or finding Akiko. Blade called out after his retreating back just loud enough for his target to hear, "Don't regret belittling or being cold to new arrivals. Just know when to do it and why you are. All the while, keeping in mind the nature and roots of this pack and the direction you want it to go... whether it be remaining the same or changing. Just think about it during your watching. Your thoughts on this might answer other questions or problems you might come up with."

He could guess what the pack would do. Either listen to the elder, or the highest on the hierarchy with the experience presently there. Otherwise, whoever currently took lead over the hunt, since that was what the pack was doing.

Looking at Petra, he guessed she would go. She was the lead hunter and would probably want to make sure the younger wolves stayed healthy. He wasn't too keen on joining this hunt unless she asked him to go with her. There were already plenty of wolves, depending on what they were hunting. He might trail along to help out from a distance.

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeTue Jun 12, 2012 10:36 pm

Echo shook her head. "No, but I'm excited to learn," she replied to the former-Daija with a soft smile, when the rough voice of Rawbones caught both of their attention. Her smile dropped, her face now serious. "Let's go," she said to her and Conall, not in an unfriendly manner, but business-like. Her eyes tried to find Exodus for guidance, leading the pack alongside Rawbones, but she knew that this was the time to watch what would unfold, not ask questions, even Rawbones said they could. But not everything that they would need to learn could be said. It was Rawbones and Exodus in front, then Crow, then Conall and Daija, with her at the tail. She had a decent vantage point, able to see everyone, and it wasn't until then did she realize that... not everyone was here. Everyone, meaning, Damean. Again, Echo was tempted to ask Exodus or Rawbones where he was, why he wasn't learning with them. She paused for just a moment, catching Damean's scent on the breeze - pine needles, like those deep in the forest, but with a hint of ash, as if he had walked through a fire to stand where he was. It was a rich, but not overbearing smell. It was simply pleasant to her nose. She looked upwind to see where he stood, but she could not dally long - everyone else in the hunting party was older than her, Conall and Daija by a month or two, and they were already gifted with the long legs of their ancestors. She turned away from Damean's scent and galloped forward, picking up the tail, wondering why he wasn't coming with.

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeWed Jun 13, 2012 3:59 am

Petra tilted her head, sitting down and raising a brow at him. She wasn't buying his sudden change in attitude, and his little story. But then the topic changed somewhat, and he wanted to know if he could trust the wolves of the pack. The ones who had been around since his father's reign. She smiled, nodding to him. "They are loyal pack members," she assured him, "But you should always be alert, regardless. These are dark wolves, after all, with mixed backgrounds and who knows what sort of history." She shuddered a little bit, knowing that, while most of the wolves were totally trustworthy, there were others that put her on edge. However, she tried not to ever show it, though she couldn't help it. With a smirk, she listened to Damean as he continued on. He was a smooth talker, and managed to make his point to her; she couldn't find anything else to say. She shook her head. "They can take care of themselves, trust me," she said, then shrugged it all off as he asked her to hunt later, "Sure, I will teach you. Hunting is one of my favourite things to do. But I'd better save my energy for now."

Damean was asking about Zai now. Her ears tilted back somewhat. Now, that was a wolf she didn't trust. He had been around for some time, but he was always on the outskirts, lingering in the shadows. What was he thinking? She could only shake her head, indicating she hadn't seen his suspicious frame in a while. Then she watched as Damean set off to go find his vantage point, inviting them along. Now she looked over to Blade, who was giving his thoughts as the young wolf was setting off. She smiled at him, moving up to his side and pressing into him again. "Why don't we go watch?" she suggested, flicking her tail against him, "If I'm going to work with him later, I can't go hunting now, too." That, and she wanted to spend more time by his side. She had been away from him too much, and it saddened her slightly. She had admired him quietly for so long, and now he had accepted her, and she wanted to make it worth his time.

A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Rawbones

Rawbones took note of Kali's strange tendencies; she refused to look at anyone in the eyes, and she was very avoidant. It was obvious that someone had taught her not to stare, but he didn't mind it. She seemed to be holding something back, and if avoiding eye contact was how she did it, then so be it. He knew that there were times when he needed to hold back, and his only way to do that was to leave the situation. He was no good at dealing with confrontations, that was, without escalating to high point of savage rage in mere seconds. Shaking his head, he huffed and put that all to the back of his mind. However, he was still somewhat worrying about Damean, wondering why the boy would put off such an important task for something that wasn't necessary. His hackles flew up when he heard Exodus' voice ring out from behind. Damn, he thought, I'm too distracted. He looked about himself for a moment, regathering his thoughts and taking in his surroundings.

He glanced back to remind himself of all the wolves that were with the hunting party. Then he looked ahead again, muttering to himself, obviously irritated with himself. "I'll talk to him afterwards. Needs to learn a thing or two, especially at his age. Can't go on always treatin' him like a prince - he needs to earn his rank, like any good leader." He would do what he could to give Damean the lessons he needed to understand the depth of his responsibilities, and what it all entailed. It was good for him to start taking charge now, rather than shying away from it, but he needed to know more. He nodded confirmation to himself, then let it drift from his mind to focus on the now. His nose was leading him closer to prey. A heavy, earthy scent flowed through his nares, and the smell of water; he knew they would be taking down moose today. It was not much longer traveling before the woods became thicker and the undergrowth more lush. He came to a sudden halt and looked to the wolves behind them. It was time they got into formation.

He waited until the group had caught up some, and seeked out the youngest. "Echo," he called, his voice a whisper now, "Stay close to me." Then his eyes shifted to Crow. "Take the other two trainees," he said, flicking his tail in the direction he thought would be best for them to go, "Get them set up, be ready to make a kill. We will send the prey in your direction." Now he turned around and sought out Exodus, meeting her gaze. "Head out just off from me and Echo," he said, nodding his head, "We will start the chase, and I expect a vicious appearance from you. Send them off in their direction." He nodded again. Finally, he looked to Kali, the newest addition to their group. "Kali, I want you to backup Crow," he said, "Hide yourself. If the prey gets past, stop it, deal a blow that will slow it down for good." He thought it best that he take the first role of chase, as it would be the best fit for his aging body. All he had to do was spook the animals and start them going. His strength and speed were not the same as when he'd been young, and he was more likely to fail in the actual kill than Crow and the youngsters. And Echo was perhaps still too young to go after such a large creature, so she would share his role and observe the rest. He waited a moment, glancing around the wolves in case of someone speaking up, though he didn't expect protest. He then turned, getting ready to find his position and wait for the others to get ready.

A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Kali3
The young fem followed the others to the hunting grounds, hoping to eat after several days of coming here, wishing to fit in and hopefully not going all assassin on someone without ripping them to little pieces. She wished she didn't use a one-strike kill techinque, feeling the warm blood aganist her white teeth, her pink lips, looking in their eyes that show death. She could hear the others in the background, calling for the alpha, wishing they could save the victum; they couldn't when Kali got done with the wolf. She closed and opened her eyes and watched the ground like she had done since she met Damean.

Before she could move back a bit, hiding herself in the group of wolves, another fem come up beside her. She had seen her as she walked up behind the alpha in training. She seemed..okay, but she didn't have a chance to speak with her yet. Honsetly, after the hunt, she was going to leave. She would walk away as if going to the river she bathed in, and would run the first chance she got, hopefully no one following. She sighed as the fem asked if she had a rough day. Slowly, Kali nodded, as of feeling complete failure. She listened to the fem and she said to prove her case and that Damean would nod. Doubtful. She knew wolves that talked to her, they don't believe her story, as they are annoyed at her looking at the d*mn ground. She mumbled to herself," He wouldn't believe it, even you wouldn't."

As she finished the sentence to the other fem, the one leading the hunting group, which was the wolf that she spoke with earlier, looked and he had asked her to back up a wolf named Crow. That helped a lot. She had guess the white wolf with the....strange things on his eyes was Crow. At least she knew one wolf other than Damean. She didn't look at him again, feeling him probably being annoyed, walked beside of Crow, knowing there was no chance of eye contact. Kali waited on the others to get in their spots so the hunt could begin.

They weren't even running anywhere yet but her tongue lolled out of her mouth. Her blood was racing and she wanted nothing more then to exert this energy in the chase. When Rawbones spoke up to her she nodded, no words needing to be said to him, then he addressed the new wolfess and Exodus smiled at her giving a wag of her tail. "Good luck everyone!" she rang out softly and then she waited too for everyone to move out to their positions. She liked the new girl Kali. She had something about her, something that... would be an asset, and why she felt so uncomfortable Exodus didn't know. She would make it a point to find out something of a way to accommodate her here in Jabbar.

Damean could see the lot of them. They walked and then stopped. Orders? He wouldn't know he had never gone upon a hunting experience yet, hopefully he'd learn soon. From high on his perch though, he felt the eyes of her on him, his chest raced and he wished he hadn't left. Fear and panic rushed into him thinking about Echo down there alone, and Dai... they needed to find a new name soon, he didn't know what to call her, even in his thoughts. The young prince kept his body still, they would be moving out soon. His blood pumped for them... he was excited to watch this.

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeSun Jun 17, 2012 8:32 am

He had slipped away, elusive as always, from the new woman. It was rude and likely unsafe for her, but then if he had cared he would've stayed by her. The dark bruja smirked as he slipped through the land, bracing the shade of the trees with love. A powerful choice of words in thought, love, a feeling he had yet to understand. His heart for the moment had been played with by a wicked white woman, but there had been no love, only lust and an even match. It was a rare thing to come across an equal, and it was only more amusing to watch her disappear every so often. Most would find discontent if someone close to them consistently disappeared, but the joker only found more entertainment in it. Sick. Ocean hues poured over the land, and his nares flared to the scent of the pack members. Maybe there was some entertainment to be had, but then again, doubt was a familiar feeling. He would be lying, oh such an unfamiliar thing! If he found the lands of FnI boring, since his arrival, he had been kept amused through multiple different sources. If he was the crazy one, than these wolves were schizophrenic, he had watched the Jabbar pack change so frequently. Oh and he couldn't forget his time in a pure pack, or were they neutral, either way there had been some fun there. Perhaps there was a part of it that left a bitter taste in his maw, its not as though he had never done his duty before. His brothers and sisters didn't get any sympathy, so why should some wench's whelp? One of the few orders he had actually accepted from the hierarchy of Jabbar's previous leader. But now, he was dead, and now they were being led by a pup. It was hard not to find some appreciation for Damean, the boy certainly wasn't so naive. And he would continue to influence him whenever he could be found alone with the male. It never lasted long, his trust wasn't in the wolves, and certainly not around their new leader. It brought a smirk to his maw, what hilarity. Was he not a trustworthy wolf? How so, for he could completely be trusted with the care of others...

Zaiaku slipped through the land, searching out the hunting wolves. He could smell them gathering, unless someone had called a meeting, and without him, his assumption was to be hunting. Something he had yet to do, a meal would be pleasant, and perhaps life would be easier if these wolves trusted him. Another smirk. If only he cared for impressions, for only a few could truly grasp his insanity. Though, if the actor played his part well, surely he could belong in a good position. Not a terrible plan. Sit on a good position, and watch the pack from in front of their noses. It was easy to stick to the shadows, but the highlights, well now that was concerning. Zaiaku continued his way to the group, keeping to the familiar cool of the shade. He wasn't eager to step into the light just yet. It took little time to come out of the foliage, his deep pools reaching the gathering group from a distance. His gaze lifted up, and spotted the other black male, perched high to oversee the hunt. The boy was becoming a man, and he would be a great alpha. The joker could follow that tyke, if only in comparison to his white wench of a mentor. She was enticing, but far to much for any bruja to handle. Zaiaku slipped back into the forest, keeping his scent away from the others, he moved a long distance around them. They looked like they could handle a moose without another body, plus, he was a lover not a fighter. With a smirk, he headed closer to Damean's perch, only remained a distance away for a few moments. He climbed after the bru, silent as can be, he slipped a bit off to the side. He wouldn't disturb the boy's duty, simply watch casually from a distance. Zai found an edge where he could look over if he so chose to watch the others, and he took a seat for the show. The new femora was down with them, and he smirked at the sight, at least she hadn't been torn apart by the others. His gaze then turned to Damean, looking the male's reaction and features. The young woman that was with him in the cave was below, he had a feeling he would see some interesting reactions from Damean during the hunt due to her.

Tristan followed the others up the ridge, hopping and dodging lithely where rocks stood in his three-legged way. He would simply watch, intent on critiquing his son's every move. He hadn't much to say to Damean and or the others at the moment. If he was needed for anything, he'd be just alongside, but in the meantime he was just a spectator. He could sense Damean's excitement and allowed a small smile to cross his maw. Despite his moody start, he had come back to his pup-like enthusiasm.

Crow picked up Rawbones's command immediately. With a nod, he headed off in the direction of the tail flick, beckoning with a pull of the head for Conall and whatever her name was to follow him. He looked to Kali and spoke with neutral tones. "Head just upwind of me. No more than a few yards. You'll do my group the most good by being able to corner whatever beast comes into our trap." He moved to go deeper into the brush, positioning himself between the two youngsters. "When the hunt starts, follow me out to the prey. Once I get a good hold on it, you two can come in and join me or take my place, depending on the size of the prey. And be aware of any commands you are given. They will likely be hasty and loud." The two pups nodded at him but had gone silent, seeming mentally and physically prepared for the task ahead. Crow was thankful. He didn't need a couple of rambunctious kids on his hands.

The wolves fell into line, and then they began to drift apart. Echo's ears perked at her name and she followed the old bru Rawbones and Exodus, while Conall and Daija went with Crow. Then there was the new fem, the one that looked at everyone with cold eyes and an even colder disposition. She vanished with Crow and the other two into the brush. She was tempted to speak with the fem as to why she was so untrusting, especially within a pack that had not done her harm but welcomed her in, but she knew that now was not the time. Instead, she knew she had to keep pace with Rawbones, whose long legs could cover more ground than her own. She loped at his flank, her stride twice the step of his. The wind blew through the trees, rustling the leaves, and then she could smell it - water. And with water, something strong and musky. She didn't know what the source of the scent was, but since they were headed for it, she could only guess that it was their prey. Her heart began to beat faster in her chest and her pace picked up even more, now at Rawbones' shoulder, but careful not to step ahead of him. He was the leader, afterall, and she knew that she had to respect where he was taking them. Blue eyes glanced at Exodus, who seemed equally excited to go on the hunt, her happiness running through Echo like a current. Suddenly she wanted to yip, skip, and run about, but as excited as she was, she knew that she would get in trouble for acting out. They needed to be quiet. But she couldn't help but grin at Exodus, her tail wagging as it bobbed behind her, eager to learn and even more eager to see what was in store for everyone.

A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Rawbones

The hunting party was organized, and Rawbones nodded his head in approval. His eyes fell to Echo, who looked determined and eager, maybe even a little excited. Then he looked ahead, careful about where he put his paws as they drew nearer. He couldn't see the creatures yet, but their smell was thick on the air, and he knew to slow down now before they were too close and gave their position away with movement. Then his body dropped lower as he moved in, nose parting the undergrowth carefully as he crept forward until he came to the tall reeds that grew near the water's edge. Through a space in the reeds he could see movement, though his eyes were not as sharp as they used to be. Antlers could be seen poking above the line of growth. A bull. This would be an interesting and challenging hunt, especially for the first-timers. Freezing in place, he waited and listened. He wanted to give a little more time to ensure that everyone was where they were supposed to be, and he hoped the moose would come closer. He could hear it moving and sloshing through the swamp, as it searched for the best morsels of swamp-life it could find. He looked to Echo. "Ready?" he breathed the word, muscles tensing as his ears swiveled to the sound of moving prey. It was moving further out.

"Now," he whispered, knowing they must startle the creature from as close as possible. He turned, and now made no effort to quiet his movements. He flew out of the undergrowth and let loose a ferocious bark. The animal was instantly spooked, so Rawbones did not hesitate to continue on. He charged down the muddy bank and dove into the water, pushing against the bottom of the swamp with his hinds when he could. The moose stepped through the water with great ease, but he could see the clearing on land that it was keen on. With a huge rack of antlers, it would look for the widest spaces to move through so it did not catch itself on trees. Rawbones continued the chase, but changed his course slightly, heading indirectly for the opening. Next would be Exodus' turn to close in from the other side, to ensure the moose didn't double back and escape their formation. Even now, Rawbones could not contain his excitement for the blood and the kill, his eyes wild and his muscles rippling with adrenaline.

Gladiator's tone was emotionless "Don't flatter yourself your nothing to pitty over" he looked at her royal blue pools glowing. He matched her growl with one of his own deeper then hers but loud enough to get the point accross. He wasn't challenging her for ranking he was just itching for blood shed and Akiko seemed to be the only one interested. The ivory brute let his fur stand on end as he waited for her reaction. He expected her to respond with no mercy. It would be a interesting spar...[i]

Exodus felt her blood almost thin. Yes, that's what was happening. Her blood was mixing with adrenalin and it coursed it's way through her body giving in to the rush of excitement. Rawbones moved the party with ease, he was a natural born leader, but not in the higher rank, he could lead any party, he was a general in life, someone who could course the minds of others and keep them in the opening for change. When he moved forward, her mind darted towards the bull and his need to change direction into the open field. Who was heading the front? Blocking? She didn't know but instinct took over. With a last look down at Echo, and a nod to follow their lead but stay clear of hooves, she darted out into the opening. She was faster then Rawbones, having not been through so many trials of life to slow down her momentum. She came round the side, slinking but moving like a bullet through the brush and popping out spooking the bull to the right. He reared up and changed direction, she snapped at the air. The clashing of her jaws spooking the soon to be meal into someone else's direction.

Damean sat on his perch. The party was moving. HIs attention was drawn towards someone else and he turned spotting Zai sitting behind him. "Oh there you are" he smirked and looked forward again. "Thought you would be hiding out in the caves still" His blue eyes turned and locked onto Zai's for a moment and he wagged his tail knowing the bru would catch his joke. Blue eyes left the male and he rose up when the wolves started moving. "They're hunting... all of them" he said anxious eyes watching the hunt. His heart was thumping, he was sure that Zai would hear it, Damean could hear it in his ears. Excitement was gone now, fear leaked from his pores. He felt so horrible right now, for his friends. He watched Rawbones scare the antlered creature run in fear, and then came Exodus from the left, scaring the creature more. "How come you're not hunting?" he asked while his body was tense. Just then his ears caught a growl and he turned his attention towards the woods. It echoed around him and his eyes looked at Zai. He knew who it was, and he knew who it was directed towards.

His body was torn in two right now and he almost wished Zai would give him an answer... or a direction to go... Anger rose on his face. He wanted the pack in order... this was not helping at all. Akiko was a grown up and he knew she could take care of herself, but he also needed to establish dominance. What was it from, growing up? Body was changing... He flopped himself down no longer watching the hunt or looking in the direction of the growing tension. He wanted to ask for guidance but what he allowed? Would he look weak? Confusion and frustration grew in his belly...

A swirl of putrid thoughts, left to those who could think of such sick things. It came from the past, and what he had once had, the power that came with Tartarus. That blasted wasteland, now ruled by another who's hand was no firmer. What had become of the place, did its existence come upon new wolves? It had taken a certain sort of wolf to enter and stay within the lands, though even those who found even an ounce of light in them never left either, but found their grave amongst the carrion crows. The black souls who fed on whatever came their way, for nothing good ever did. The taste of rotten flesh that only their stomachs could handle. His attention broken, by the young king who acknowledged his presence. A shadow in daylight. The black hessian smirked at the boy's words, a joke that they could share, how quaint. Ocean hues remained focused on Damean, the thoughts of history now banished to another day. A question, now more important then petty remembrance. Why was he not joining the pack in camaraderie? A sincere question, this king had only know him for such little time, but even that time should've gave him enough of a judgment of Zaiaku's character. He would not do well with the others, not of his own accord, for he surely could show camaraderie, but there was still a lack of trust. Not that he didn't encourage that lack. Perhaps it would do well to thin that line, after all, he had spent quite a bit of time in Jabbar. It was an amusing thought, but then the only one he needed to have trust him was the boy before him. A moment's distraction, a growl all to familiar to any wolf who had been within that woman's presence. Zai watched silently as Damean's expression changed, with a not of his own deprivation of response. The sudden absence of of interest made Zaiaku smirk, and for a moment he let his kissers part. "My lord." The intention to catch Damean's focus, he lifted himself from the terra and stepped forward. "Have you hunted big game with a pack before? It is something to behold, truly." It was an encouragement to continue to watch, and his tone remained formal, as if he were but an advisor. The pitch drake seated himself by Damean, his gaze towards the hunt. "Even Kings ask questions, Damean." And for once there lay genuineness in his lyrics, but even then to him it was all a joke. It was an abridgment of entertainment, of someone feeding his thoughts of mischief. White and fleeting. Now lost to some land that was not Jabbar, and upon return nothing but more entertainment. For though, despite moments of somewhat curiosity, his heart was his own, and only lust could be said to have shown for her.

PostSubject: Re: A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd    A New Reign: Jabbar Junayd - Page 6 Icon_minitimeWed Jul 04, 2012 5:02 pm

The sound of the very little life filled the young fem's ears as it seemed to have distracted her from the others getting in their places for the hunt; before long, it was ready to commence and her dark heart sank to the top of her neck, making her gag a little before they conutined. She watched Rawbones and Echo, as they went to the brush and waited for the prey. Slowly, not looking at them moving, she could sence them in position. Now, before the hunt could ever begin, her small group of three would need to get in position.

The scent of the prey that they was hunting grew stronger to Kali, seeming though to sink her heart. She followed the white wolf when he had flicked his tail to them. While she was listening to Crow, she looked around the summer season here, which was every unlike her pup home, back at her old, burned down home. In the summer months, where she had lived, it would be every cold; In the winter months, it would be...hot. Maybe it was because of... no...it was just unknown. When she had heard the last of the bru's commands, she nodded and went in deeper with him into the brush.

Crow being beside Kali was inconfortble and made it a better chance to look in his eyes. She closed them slowly to help the temptation to look as he spoke the commands for the hunt. Her body trembled slowly, making descented timing between each of the shivers. Her wishing for the eyes to not trace the sound of the voices or the eyes of the elk. Enemy; that would fill her mind, and she would not stop until the thought would leave her eyes and brain. A low, slient growl came her mouth, and it was angry. This was one of her only chances to prove that she belonged in this pack of strong wolves. Her claws dug into the solf ground, ready to leap out to the moose.

The only thing that could go wrong...is looking into the eyes of the prey...or worse, one of the pack.

Tristan began to pace as the hunt commenced. A moose was the exact thing that had put him where he was now, begging for meals and scraping by on smaller prey. He knew the pack would work together and all would be well, but it made his heart race to see his only son down there. What if he was hit? Hopefully he would be smarter, less cocky. He already was in other aspects of his life. Truly, the old bru felt a rash of jealousy towards Conall. He was more calm, cool, and collected than he had ever hoped to be. And knew he couldn't handle a bull moose on his own. He swallowed a whine and sat himself down, perched at the vantage point. He ignored Zai and Damean in favor of the spectacle below, though the black joker did give him the shivers. He liked to play coy, much like Matthew. He would keep an eye out on that one.

Crow crouched onto his haunches as Exodus began her chase. He rolled his blades back, feeling the adrenaline pump and the joints loosen. He licked at his chops and gave his two charges a look. "We're coming from the side and Ex is at the back," he whispered, "Best way to surround it? Quick now."
The young femme gave the two brus a look. She was frustrated that she honestly didn't have the right answer, though there were a million creative ideas in that head of hers.

Conall stared straight ahead, calculating. "You can take it on this side," he jerked his head toward the fae. "Crow, you can get in front of it because you're the biggest. I'm smaller so I can run underneath and catch it on the other flank. It would take to long to circle around the back."
The nameless femme snorted, jealous, but impressed.

"Good." Crow offered, then disappeared faster than they could blink. There was no time for anything else. He made a beeline for the front of the moose, keeping a few paces ahead and straying away from its deadly equipment. A few snaps kept it scared. He risked a quick glance and saw the two pups coming for the beast.

The femme had burst out of the brush straight after Crow. She may have been outsmarted, but she wasn't going to be outperformed. She caught up, her longer, older legs carrying her faster to the prey, and began snapping at the bull's side. She would wait for Conall to make the move.

Conall shook his head at his friend's rash move and followed behind quickly. He had to time this perfectly or he'd end up like his father... or deader. He ran along side his female friend, and was grateful when she let him move to the inside. He gave himself till the count of three, dove, and rolled to the other side. The ebon bru was pleasantly surprised to find himself alive. He coursed along the left side steadily.

The fae found her opening and latched onto the beast's skin. It began to frantically turn in her direction, trying to shake her off and close the space. But as it turned and ran, it was sending itself straight for Kali to help Crow with the assist.

Crow hated to admit it, but he was impressed by their wordless tact. Now where was Echo?
