Kiaki tilted her hair, narrowing her eyes as Bhaal settled himself down. "I suppose." She had been a lone hunter for a while to no avail, she doubted she could find anything now. But she owed her assistance. She walked past the pile of old bones, placing her paw on one and sliding it across the floor of the den, leaving a trail in its wake as the dust cleared behind it. That should be a large enough hint. She scrambled up the tunnel of the den and exited.
Before attempting to hunt, she walked towards the oasis for a drink first. She lapped up the water as it quenched her thirst and listened to the sound of silence. She sensed no prey nearby, and once she was done her drink, she lifted her head to the sky, blinking the sun from her eyes and sniffing at the air. The breeze was drifting slowly, so it would take a while for any scent to reach her. Sighing, she set off at a trot and away from the den.

(I'm going to have fun with this one!)
Kiaki panted as the hot sun grazed her fur and the breeze seemed almost non-existant. She didn't want to be away from the den for too long in case Bhaal needed her, but she also didn't want to stray too far away. She didn't know these lands well enough yet, and it would probably cosy her her life if she got lost. She couldn't help worrying about Bhaal. He had survived for so long without her, yet she still couldn't keep her thoughts off his safety alone in the den.
A scent caught her nares and she turned her head sharply. The heat waves gave her a headache and her vision became blurred. She blinked in the sun and stared towards nearby trees. Something shifted and Kiaki ducked low to the ground, moving slowly forward as her eyes focused on the thing that's smell made her mouth water. A bore. That wasn't too difficult. Yes, they were strong, but she was fast and it was easier to take down single-handedly than a full grown deer. Kiaki's tail twitched and she continued forward, edging forever closer, willing the the bore wouldn't turn around.
A twig snapped nearby and the bore ran, Kiaki close on its heels. She darted between the trees, left, right, left, right, and finally caught up. The bore spotted its predator and attempted to run fast, the whites of its eyes shining in fear and its stout legs carried it further. Kiaki's ears were pinned low and her paws beat the ground leaving heavy tracks, her lips sliding open in a grin. Then she lunged, bringing her full force upon the pig, her strong jaws clasping around its throat and she heard it squeal. Both wolf and swine hit the floor, the momentum of the chase propelled them forward and they scraped along the ground, the pig below. It left a steady trail of blood in its wake, flesh pealing off until they stopped. The bore continued to writhe under Kiaki's weight, and she longed for the help of a stronger wolf. She was barely able to hold it down, let alone end its life. Her jaws clasped tighter around it's neck and it continued to struggle, slowing down as time ticked on.'Just die' she breathed through gritted teeth, her jaw aching with the force to hold on, her claws digging into the animal's rib cage and hips, forcing it to stay low. At long last, it became still, and Kiaki looked into its deep, black eyes staring into nothingness, and she knew that it was dead.
She loosened her grip on the bore, moving her stiff jaw around and standing up. She breathed heavily, panting and out of breath. She looked behind her, making sure she knew the way back to Bhaal and the den, before taking the bore's hind legs in her grasp and dragging it backwards in the direction they had both ran. It was tiring and difficult, for speed and agility were not needed to drag a heavy load. The distance back seemed longer than the hunt, but at long last, she reached the familiar oasis. She dropped the pig by the water's edge and drank her fill, her lips dry from panting and grasping the dehydrated flesh of her kill. But the water wouldn't run out anytime soon, and Kiaki drank her fill. Picking up the bore once again, she draged it to the opening of the den, and pushed the bore through the tunnel until it landed in the depths before her.

| Bhaal turned when he heard a loud thud. Looking back he saw a dead boar on the ground, and Kiaki stood behind him. Impressive. He didn't really thought she would return with anything eatable. He thought wrong. He stood up, slowly, as if giving the impression it really didn't cared for Bhaal, and walked towards the carcass. "Well, you have caught something." He didn't knew if she was intent on sharing, but it was enough for two wolves, and otherwise she wouldn't have dragged it back to the den. But, he still waited and examined the pig. It had been an clean but not a quick kill, she hadn't his muscles and sheer size, so it had been harder for her to kill it. She did it nonetheless, and now Bhaal knew she could tend a bit for herself. "Intent on sharing a bit?" he said, stomach growling. | |

Kiaki flopped onto the dry floor, closer to the tunnel opening than her regular spot, panting from exhaustion. "Help yourself" She said, eying her kill. It had been difficult but it was worth it just for its scent. Hungry though she was, She couldn't get through the entire animal alone, and Bhaal, unable to fully hunt, himself, was more than welcome to share, for the pig was enough for two.

| Bhaal ended his meal, his belly full of warm meat, and ploffed down on the ground. Altough he had some pain in his back, atleast where the wound was, and he could feel a droplet of blood running from wherever it opened, he felt satisfied. For three days, he had eaten well, an on regular basis, something Bhaal never achieved on his own. Sure, huntong with two had it's advantages, but soon they would be faced with the dissadvantages. First, they would have to move, as prey tended to move from oasis to oasis, instead of staying somwhere. Second, if they couldn't catch much, or any prey, they would have more hunger then when Bhaal would be on his own.
But Bhaal was willing to risk it, and for once in a long time, he felt the warm feeling of friendship and companionship overtaking him.

"So, what's the plan?" Kiaki asked, finishing all the craved to eat and lying down beside the remainder of the boar. She was thirsty, but didn't want to leave the den, as she longed for conversation. The den looked so much cleaner now, and there was a lot more space than when she had first arrived, and the past few days had sustained her far better than any days during her months alone. But would that last? Kiaki still believed her capture to be luck, but hopefully once Bhaal recovers, she could learn a few extra tips and tricks about hunting, so the next feast she caught wouldn't be luck-based.

| "Plan...I don't know, we should probably move out tomorrownight, when it's cool, toards another oasis or drinking hole. Prey doesn't has the habit to stay at one place for long, and as it moves, we have to do too. Shelter will be no problem, I know many dens and coverd places such as this, some made miself,so...Let's get some more rest and when the night comes and we are fresh, we move." Why had he told her all this? He didn't knew, it just had flooded out of him like a river of words adn he felt no need to regret them. At least she now knew of the situation. And, he made her sure she needed him, in order to survive any longer. Whatever would against that... Well that was for later. He turned the thought aside, and turned towards his favourite sleeping spot. He settled down, and laid his head on his paws, ready to close his eyes. | |

"Anything to keep us safe"'And alive' She muttered the last few words under her breath. She was still sure she wouldn't have been able to survive if Bhaal hadn't found her, and whether he still wanted her around, or to drop her off with another pack, she couldn't be alone. She wouldn't mind joining a pack, for it felt like a family, but as she thought this, her chest tightened uneasily. If she was honest with herself, she'd prefer to stay with Bhaal. "If you need help with a new den wherever we end up, I can always lend a paw." She smiled at him, and turned around to settle herself down against the edge of the den, she closed her eyes and waited for sleep to come.

| Bhaal opened his eyes, the cool night welcoming him. He rose up on black pillars, and felt his wound had somehow healed towards the point he could walk decently again. He glanced towards Kiaki, who was still asleep. Time to go. He didn't had to wake her. He could just slip away, and abbandon her to her fate. Wich, by means of the enviroment, would be a creul, slow dead. Normally he had raised an eyebrow and moved on, but this time he couldn't. He just could leave her to die, after all, he wouldn't get far himself then, as he probably couldn't hunt for a few more days, so eh would depend on her for his food provide.
He turned back as he noticed he already had been walking towards the entrance off the den, and walked over to her. For a few moments, he just watched at her. She was alot smaller than him. But she was faster, a trait that would grant them an advantage if they would be hunting their more usual prey, hares and small birds like grouse. The last few days they had plain luck to stumble on bigger game, but they wouldn't find such prey much more in the future. He bent forward, and placed his mouth near her ear. "Wake up!" He shouted, right into her auds. It was an old joke, but o so fun...

| Bhaal grinned at her suprise and turned. "Yes we are, and if you want the hare so badly, it lies in that corner." he said, flicking his tail towards the pile of rubbish that hid the hare. He slipped outside and let out a short moan when his back scraped along the tunnel. He shook off the dirt and dust of the den, and quenched his thirst in the pool. Meanwhile, he pondered over where h...they would go next. They. He flicked the strange thought aside and concentrated on the journey ahead. He decide to travel to the South-East, close to Midnight, where there was a lake and an abundance of prey. He orientated him using the son, and sat down, eyes turned to the South-East. | |

Kiaki dragged the limp hare from the pile of rubbish and began ripping at it, chewing fast. When half was left, she dragged it out of the den, giving it one final glance before joining Bhaal by the oasis. She dropped the carcass at his paws and stepped towards the water's edge, drinking her fill. "Do you know where we're going?" She asked, her muzzle dripping and she flicked her head, nudging her muzzle with her paw.
The breeze had increased today, ripping the glassy water and flowing through Kiaki's fur. She blinked in the wind, feeling cooler today than she had in the past few weeks. She was looking forward to hunting again tonight, even if they didn't catch a sufficient meal, she longed for the run. Her legs ached from sleeping in a single position for so long, and she stretched, shifting her weight.

| "South-East, I guess there is more prey this time of the year." And more water. He rised up, ignoring the remains of the hare at his feed, refusing to give any sign of hunger. "Let's go then." Without even taking a look at her, Bhaal walked south-east, confident that she would follow him, as she had no other choice. He craved to hunt once more, but knew that any heavy activity for now would only weaken him, and for the following days he would still be dependent on her for food. Maybe he would have to drop his walls of unfriendliness a bit, otherwise she might get other ideas of his companionship, and his acts could then turn on him. | |

Kiaki's head tilted and her eyes narrowed. It had been hours since Bhaal last ate, and he needed his strength for the journey ahead, especially if something was to happen, whether meet prey, or enemy. Sighing, she picked the hare up in her jaws and trotted behind Bhaal, following him, placing a slightly larger distance away from him than usual. She didn't understand what his intentions were for his strange actions, but he was another wolf with another past. If she was to stay, she'd need to learn how to react to his odd ways.

| The moment Kiaki had let loose the hare, Bhaal fell on it like a starved mad wolf. His hunger even suprised himself, and before he knew, all what rested of the hare where some straps of fur and broken bones, their marrow sucked out. When he bent upwards, he could notice Kiaki was looking a bit hungry too. And probably thirsty and tired. He felt regret biting into his heart like a startled viper, and he was almost so far that he would gulp up eveything so she would have something to eat. Luckily for both, he wasn't that far, and quickly calculated cold and anger started to take back control. He stood back up. "Let's not wait to long, soon it is day,a dn I don't want to linger here if the temperature is rising." | |

| "Were closing in, but it's still a bit further. If we hurry a bit, we'll be there soon enough." He turned and started walking more towards the east. Instinctly, he knew Kiaki would follow. After a while, they came across the long awaited resting place, a small oasis, with plentifull shade and water. There was also, under some overhanging rocks, an apropriate sleeping place, but Bhaal would have to dug it a bit out, before they would be able to use it. | |

| Bhaal walked over to the shallow hole, and inspected it for hidden dangers such as snakes. "Yes, some help with digging out this ...hole would be nice." he replied. When she mentioned to hunt, Bhaal had to supress the urge for going out. If he would hunt now, his wounds would be opened again, and the whole healing process would have to start anew. "I am still in no shape to hunt, if you want, you can try go fetch something, and I'll dig out a sleeping place for us both, on acount you share of course." He sat down, and bent forward to the cool water, quenching his thirst. He then bent back up, and looked into Kiaki's eyes. | |

As Bhaal spoke, Kiaki gazed at his wound. He was right; he couldn't go hunting yet. As they locked eyes, she tried to work out what he was thinking and how he was feeling, but it was near impossible. He had obviously had many years of practice hiding his emotions. There was so little they knew about each other, but judging by his strong exterior and multiple other scars, she guessed that his part had a deep story, and not all that pleasant.
Kiaki blink, realizing that she was staring into his orbs and allowing her mind to wander. She looked down, heat rising in her neck, knowing that she had been staring for longer than one normally would. But then she looked up. He hadn't turned away either. Perhaps she was over-thinking things and time hadn't been as long as she had judged.
She faced a dilema. Help Bhaal dig the den, and even he admitted he could use her help, or hunt alone, possibly failing to catch any prey, returning with no food and no help with the den. Her stomach growled quietly, but she chose to ignore it. "How hungry are you?" She asked, using his answer to help her make a decision.
