| Bos and Viator both looked around, trying to find dogs to fight. They didn’t want to walk up to some big muscular dogs, because that would make them look like they thought they were big and could do whatever they wanted. They heard Blue mention Anubis fighting them, and they looked at each other and nodded. They both trotted over to the cairn terrier. “Hello Anubis.” Viator spoke up. “May we spar with you? We can do one-on-one or two on one. Your choice.” Viator let Anubis choose. |

| Drake looked around. For some time, no dogs had appeared to answer him. It seemed to be busy where ever the dogs where. As time went by, he worried about his action to come here to Hamara Sydan. He waited to head back to the Lone Lands or a new location to find his family members, his parents and sister. Drake never did. He took him forever to get here. Before he could howl again, a voice had come from the shadows. It told him that he should not howl, as it could make them think he was a wolf. But as Drake was going to answer, a blue-black figure appeared.
Her name was Blue. She was the beta of the Hamara Sydan pack. He nodded and listened on to when she asked for his name. Drake was a bit shy and timid when Blue appeared. He spoke as loud as he could without being really quiet," Um, sorry. I didn't think once about that howling could make it seem as I am a wolf. I'm Drake." He does his best friendly smile without making her think of him as a fool then continues to reply," Uh, one question. Who do I need to speak to get accepted to be in this pack?" He has hoped to be a warrior for his pack, but what ever Jack gives him, he will be happy just to be in the pack.

| "Go right on ahead, Anubis," Blue said when the terrier arrived, his fur seeming to puff up for the fight. At the same time, a brotherly howl rose from the woods. Blue gestured a paw towards the greyhounds. "Perhaps Bos and Viator would be your best challengers. They are competing for your rank, afterall," she said with a smirk, knowing that he wouldn't be able to resist. They were only a few sizes larger than him, but she had the feeling that they would make decent opponents for him. "I know two-on-one isn't fair, but think of it as a well-needed exercise." With that, she stood and turned in the direction of the howl. She knew that Kane was likely to answer, but he could have been all the way on the other side of the lands. She wondered how many wolves he had fended off the last time she had seen him.
She passed Jacob and Tauro, their fight commencing. She watched as Jacob dodged and went for Tauro's shoulder, his head tucked down. He had a strange fighting style, he did - Blue could see that he was anticipating Tauro's moves. She began to wonder more about where he had come from and what business he had in Hamara Sydan. She continued past them across the grassless meadow and to the grove of trees where Jack and Nikita were positioned. She paused for a moment, watching Nikita make the first move. It was the same as Tauro's first move, ducking her head down with her shoulder out, meaning to knock her opponent aside. Unlike Jacob, Jack stood his ground, thrusting his own shoulder forward to meet hers. It would take a lot more than that to knock him off his feet. He took a step back, absorbing her impact, and ducked his head down, using his muzzle to tangle with her legs and seek her underbelly. "You're lucky we aren't fighting with teeth," he said in a low tone, working his way underneath her. Blue could see what was going to happen next, and quietly wondered how Nikita would handle being flipped over.
She headed for the sound of the howl, now, up the steep cliffside that she and the others had came upon when first entering the lands. It was a path back towards the City. Perhaps it was another soul from the metal heart of cruelty and strife. There was a break in the trees and she found a Karelian Bear Dog sitting, the wind blowing through his fur. "I would advise against howling in these lands," she said with a tone of warning, but it was not deadly. She emerged from the shadows so he could see her blue-black form. "The dogs in this land are quick to assume that howling means you're a wolf. Clearly, you are not. I am Blue, Beta to the gang. You are?"

| Tauro felt the light contact, and turned to see Jacob was now pulling his own move on him. It was a foolish move, with Tauro's weight advantage, but he liked the fact the new one had the guts to do it. A decent amount of courage made good soldiers, as long as the weren't to overconfident. He just braced for the charge, catching Jacob's shoulder with his own. He wanted to test his opponent's strenght, altough he was fairly certain he would be strongest. The shoulders connected, and Tauro could feel his feet slipping a few inches, but he only felt a slight pain in his shoulder, causing him to close his eyes for a moment, pushing away the agony. He looked up to see his opponent was doing. | |

| Nikita smiled at him and she would follow him to the grassless meadow and through into a grove of trees. She would shake out her wavey pelt and then tipped her head. "Let uz." She said and without warning launched herself at him.
She was a lot faster than she looked. Her body was built for speed and strength. She hunted wolves lets not forget. Though she knew Jack was smart. Her chin tucked guarding her fine throat she lashed out for a shoulder and used her weight to try and knock him aside.
This was a dance. It always was a dance. A deadly dance. One she knew well. One she preformed with all of the creatures she hunted...from small to large.

| Jacob's eyes watched the dog take on the first attack. Tricky beast. The shep turned and let the shoulder contact with his slightly pushing him away. Dance partner. He went forward only a seemingly small second and then withdrew. He panted quite heavily. He moved back from the dog, making a wide circle. The way of his people was to fool and trick, tire and wear out before going for the kill. Only, he wasn't with his people. It was the only thing he knew, unless it came to full on contact battle. He lunged forward at the dog, he wasn't aiming to open wounds, why weaken your pack against your own. He lowered his head, charging with his shoulder just as the male had done to him. Tauro. His name registered to Jacob and he made a note to remember it, or try to, he was so very bad with names... | |

| Anubis the cairn terrier had been off on his own for sometime; simply walking about where he pleased without much sense of purpose. For lack of a better term, he was bored. He had not managed to find the two greyhounds who would be joining his ranks soon enough. His stubbornness didn’t allow him to simply put his anger aside for a moment; it had to be dealt with some way. Either that, or it would build up greater and greater like a cancerous cell, until the frames of his body could no longer hold it in anymore, and fury took. He had annoyed other dogs with his tirades before, but that was simply a form of release. It was his prevention from lashing out with no restraint, or as some of the street dogs that had gotten to know him well enough in the city called it, “going bat-sh*t crazy”. Yes, he was small, but it was a good enough reason to leave him alone.
Then, the noise hit him. Anubis stopped in his tracks, well into the surrounding forest of the log jam. There was silence, yet the faintest undertones continued back by the packlands. It was a clacking sound, unmistakable to his keen, weathered ears. Teeth were contacting teeth, and jaws were snapping. There seemed to be order, though; no one was planning to kill each other. The undefinable sensation of adrenaline resonated in the air. Anubis’s pupils dilated. "Well that sounds promising." The sounds of conflict were music to his auds. He turned back to the packlands, ignoring the surrounding environment and focusing only on the source point of the battle. He padded quickly yet cautiously, for the last thing he was going to do was walk through the middle of another bru’s fight. The sounds finally directed him to the center of the packlands passed the log jam, as they were no longer muffled by the great structures of the trees that oversaw the pack’s every action. Anubis appeared at the side of Jack, ignoring his leader’s presence. He now saw that Tauro and the new dog Jacob seemed to be sparring. He no longer felt quite as bored as he had before. “When the frick were you dogs gonna tell me there was fightin’ goin’ on, huh? I want in, I’ll take anyone willing.” he said to no one in particular with his thick Scottish accent.

| On a hill looking over the city, a Karelian Bear Dog looks at the city and wishs to head to where the wolves live. Drake wanted to look for his family if they lived here. He would also go to join and live there. He decided that he would go now instead of waiting a couple days. He walk down the hill and started to head to the land of the Hamara Sydan wolves. The more he got closer, the more he doubted that any of his family was there. But he never gave up hope about it. Never did, never would.
Drake looked ahead of himself as the place where all the Hamara Sydan wolves lived was not a far distance away, around a mile. He needed to speed up. He started to run, his paws beating against the hard ground, his fur flying in the wind. A few minutes later, he reached the land where they lived. He licked his lips as lowered his head and deeply howled for acceptance. He sat quietly and waited for an answer or to come forward.

| Blue snorted and rolled her eyes as Jacob winked at her. He obviously didn't know what kind of background she or Jack had, but he was a comical bru, one that amused her to an acceptable degree. Watching him match up with Tauro, though, was going to be interesting. She sat back on her haunches, waiting, wondering if the two greyhounds or Anubis would approach. In the meantime, though, she would watch the round unfold between Jacob and Tauro... whilst keeping an eye on Jack, of course. She had no doubt that if he wanted to, he could pummel the borzoi, and she hoped that things wouldn't get out of hand. She frowned, a memory of the past flickering back to her, but she dismissed it before she could let it get to her. What was in the past was in the past. Things were different now. She was out of the City, out of the concrete streets and steel walls and platinum skies.
Tauro leapt at Jacob. They were a good distance away, enough to watch. Tauro was like a bear, charging forward with his teeth, and then with his shoulder. Jacob had already taken a more serious stance, and Blue wondered who would draw first blood. Even if no one challenged her for a spar, the big boys were enough to keep her entertained for a good while.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Jack nod in response to Nikita. "It would be my pleasure," he said, dark crown dipping, and he motioned off in the direction away from Jacob and Tauro, knowing that they would need a lot of room. While he was still eager to speak to Blue about what she had discovered about their neighbors, toughening the pack came first. He led Nikita away from the grassless meadows and southwards into a grove of trees, where the soil was dark and the rocks began to rise. It was a place just westward of where they had hunted earlier. Jack took the initiave and turned so that he was facing her, his feet planted and his head down. Muscle rolled on his rust-hued shoulders and his tail swept in a ready position behind him. "Let us begin."

The growl and sudden change in form was seen by Tauro as a clear yes. Grinning, Tauro took a similar form, and showed his great canines. His opponent wasn't as massive as him, but a fairer challenge then most around here. Then was the moment Tauro launched, jaws wide open, as to tear whatever what came in his reach. The jaw-move, however, was a decoy, as in the mid-air of his leap, Tauro adjusted his wieght, pulling his head down, right shoulder up, ready to shoulder Jacob if he would hit home. After all, Tauro wasn't intent on killing anyone

| Jacob was watching as the dogs began to size each other up. Picking opponents. Not a good plan, picking wasn't really things normally would work, it was first come first serve. Just when he was about to get the action started and jump at Blue, surprise someones voice caught his attention and he turned brown eyes to the dog calling him new one. His eyes went back to Blue wondering if she had caught such a phrase and he winked. Told you, played out in his mind right then, the new punching bag. He was ignoring the brute for half a second more before his head slunk down and he turned sending out a ringing growl towards the male. There was no time for discussion, it was do or die, they were in territory that the wolves could hunt them, humans could mistake them for wild beast, at any moment any animal could attack this pack.
His lips pulled back to reveal white canine teeth, deadly devices for killing. Have at it will you? He stepped forward, head down, shoulders up, he revealed the back of his neck, hiding away the forbidden death taking area of his neck. He flexed his muscles raising the hair along his back. His back legs flexed with tension ready to spring. No words were spoken from Jacob. He moved his head from side to side, his paws flexed pushing forth nails into the dirt gripping into the earth ready for traction. His senses were alert, not to just the male before him, but to all around him. He wasn't one to be challenged where he had come from, sometimes a young pup would want to fight for the top dog position, putting a young male in line was easy, adult dogs hadn't even tried. This... this would be fun.
Ooc:|| And here comes the serious Jacob. =)

| [Ooc: I don't think I can let Tauro fight Anubis XD] [Edit because of misunderstanding on my part. *facepalm*]
Tauro took in Jack's words, and it seemed like something he would have said himself. Sparring éh? Taking a look around the group, there weren't much who he could compare to himself. Nikita seemed to already challenge Jack, and he wasn't all to sure if Blue was participating or not, so that left Bos, Viator, and Anubis. The two greyhounds weren't really a fair challenge to him, and where rather frail compared to himself, and Anubis... Tauro wasn't one to judge on heights normally, but... There where limits. Just when he had decided to sit and wait for a challenge, he spotted an apparently new dog next to Blue. A shepherd, who seemed like a fair match to him. He slacked over towards the two, stopping before Jacob. "Care for a little match, new one?"

| Their leaders call drew them all out of the dens and she looked from his second, Blue, back to him. She took a deep breath and flicked her feathered tail. So he wanted them to prove themselves. She cast a look with her deep brown eyes and took a deep breath. All of them different breeds...mutts...purebreds....but she felt there were only two here who's opinion's mattered at the moment. Blue's and Jacks. And while she had taken a liking to them both it came to her mind if she were to prove herself it would be to Jack.
Her silence followed her as she stood. A graceful white and buff ghost padding gently. She was not a bitch of many words. She struggled with their language a bit but was learning. Perhaps that is why she didn't strike up conversations as much.
Lifting her fine muzzle she would pause in front of Jack.
"Jax." She said her words heavily accent Russian. "Would you care to be mine opponantz?" She asked. There was no fear in her lines though she carried herself respectfully. She had fought dogs.....wolves....bears. She was a huntress and a fighter and though quiet and having lived what some would consider a cushioned life, well...she was much more capable than most would take her for.

| Punching bag was right. Jacob would be the weakest, the newest to the 'pack.' His orbs looked around as the dogs surrounded the leader and Blue soon followed. He trailed lightly behind her, seeming not to interested. This was where he would look like nothing, until he was brought into a challenge. He had grown up not in the city, he had grown up away from it, away from the fumes and havoc of the cars, humans who were in love with their dogs, not in love with a dogs life and abilities. Jacob had many, he had quite a few that could be shown to the table this day. He had been brought up wild and he had been brought up, like a wolf, with human's love and influence not a humans love and 'haughty' showing of their 'pets' His body came upon the group and he tried not to stand to tall, he wasn't the commander anymore, he wasn't apart of his family, slaughtered by wolves, bears, and other dark skinned humans. Auds perked up with the sound of threat to death, someone would die, who would it be? He didn't know the dogs here, and some were so strange to him, some of them he had never seen, back in his homeland he was the top bred leader of his troops, and all resembled one another. Sometimes a stray would come but not often enough to relay the tactics of the outside world. Paired up. He wanted to pair up with anyone, his blood began to run a little with the thought of sparing. His eyes smiled with the thought of doing some training, but he wasn't training, he was sparing, Blackjack was training, maybe Jacob could offer some advice to whomever he was going to go up against. "Let the games begin" he said softly and looked at Blue winking ever so slightly and sarcastically. Punching bag... he'd see about that. This was where the fun would begin. He was an excellent healer on himself and others, native american's had the best tricks up their sleeves. He wouldn't let anyone die today, no one should, this pack was too small to let anyone fall under the pray of foolish mistakes, and if someone did pass... well they'd end up seeing Jacob take it personally... | |

| A smirk tugged at Blue's dark lips. "Punching bag?" she echoed, wondering why the brute would compare himself so. "I wouldn't quite say that. It happens to look like you've got yourself on his good side. The others aren't so bad, but they're not a very talkative bunch... except for the terrier, Anubis." Blue looked over her shoulder as Jack stood in the clearing, waiting for the dogs to come out of the dens. The mud beneath his feet was baked into dirt, the green grass of spring sprouting beneath the winking sun, hiding behind the clouds and appearing again. The air was still heavy with its ever-present humidity, but somewhere from the west, a salty, seaside current blew in. The other dogs arrived and circled around Jack. Blue turned her gaze back to Jacob. "Being Jack's right-hand man allows me to do whatever I want," she replied, moving towards the rest of the gang, blue-black plume swishing. "Interest me to participate, and maybe I will."
Jack stood with his feet planted and shoulders square, his burnt-umber tail curled over his back, his large head tall - the position of a leader. He surveyed the dogs trailing in... He knew that they had skills, but a gang was not held together by just that. Blue stood next to him, not as tall as he, but just as authoritative. There were still things he had to discuss with her, but that would come with time. When everyone was settled, he began to speak.
"It's not always the pack with the most dogs, sometimes it's the pack with the sharpest teeth," he said, remembering the phrase from his days as a youth. It was something the old hounds used to say when teaching him the ways of the group. "You've shown me your skills, now it's time to show the others. We must be tight. We must be strong. It is one thing to have the strength to fend off wolves from our land, but it is another to attack theirs. Everyone must be involved. Runts will be punished. And today, one of you will die by my jaws. The chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and we will not allow weakness in our pack." The large German Shepherd surveyed the dogs again, trying to sense their emotions, their beating hearts, their thoughts. It was time to put the first of many things into motion. "Everyone partner up and line up. Square off with a dog you think is your best opponent. I'm even up to the challenge. It is now that you may contend for ranks, if you so desire, or a simple spar. Regardless. One of you will die today."
Blue glanced at Blackjack as he said this. It was not an uncommon move for a dog leader to take, but at the same time, she could only notice how small their pack was. In the City, sometimes they would join up with other packs and run with tens, twenties, and sometimes even thirties. Killing one off here wasn't going to be like killing one off there. She surveyed the dogs, wondering who would fall prey to Jack's jaws... Would it be Nikita, the graceful Russian hound, lost without her human companion? Would it be Tauro, the dog of war, seeing his final battle? Would it be Anubis, annoying to the point of his own death? Would it be one of the greyhounds, sleek and quiet? Or would it even be Jacob, the new dog, or as he called himself 'the gang's newest punching bag'? It was safe to say that herself and Kane would not be victims of the test. She took a step forward, participating as to balance the teams. Kane, considering that he would be guarding the borders from attacks, would not be involved.
"I will be up to challenge as well," she stated, cobalt gaze drifting towards Jacob. She could sense that the bru wanted to spar, and she was curious as to what else he brought to the table. But she could feel other pairs of eyes upon her, and thus the rule of 'first come, first serve' came to mind. She glanced at the rest of the dogs, her pads itching; it had been some time since she had fought, and her blood began to grow hot at the thought of it. Lieutenant Stark hadn't kept her as his fighting bitch for her looks, afterall.

| Bos and Viator rose at Jack’s bark, never having been asleep in the first place. Their long pillars got them outside quickly, and they sat near the other dogs. They turned their heads and took in the dogs that sat around them. It seemed the two dogs they had scented earlier had made it into the pack. They turned their heads to Blackjack, waiting for him to speak. Their ears tilted to him to catch his words, and eyes never left his form. Viator let her tail wag softly as they sat there. |

| Nikita would hear the deep graveled voice of their 'leader'. She would stand, then stretched her long legs before shaking out her wavy pelt and followed Jack to where he stood. Pink tongue snaked out and pressed against ivories as she perked her petite ears. Approaching she bowed her head.
She wondered just what Jack was going to teach them. She was sure all had fought or at least attempted. Where she was from she held rank in the city. She had to, she had luxuries the others didn't and they grew jealous of that. She had to put others in their place when they would attack.
"So Jax.." She said in her heavy russian accent. "What iz you trying to teachez uz then?"

| Tauro's eyes opened when Blackjack's lyrics hitted his auds. Almost methodical, he rose up on four, to continue proceeding outside. The sunlight's glare agitated him for a moment, but the feeling was gone before he knew it. He hated dreaming. Quickly the last remnants of his slumber disappeared, his head clear once more again. Addressing his leader he spoke in his usual heavy voice; "Something happened?" He sounded neither particularly worrying nor interested, as he knew that if some wolf or other threat had slipped in their lands, either Blackjack or Kane would have dealed with it already. "Or is there something you'd want to discuss with us?" | |

| A sigh, it felt good to have him gone to say the least. Then came the words from his new 'leader' and he stood waiting for the other's to get up to the command when a female came up to him apologizing. "I get it though. You show to much slack and you loose control. I've been there" His voice wanted to break but he held it tight and in check. "Nice to meet you Blue. I'm Jacob, the gang's newest punching bag" He winked at her and stretched out. "So tell me, is everyone wound as tight as our fearless leader? I mean, that hound one a nasty little critter" he smirked and let out a chuckle at his own joke. "Glad our leader could defend himself from such a fuzzball of insanity" he laughed and then thought of the terrier. "Oh wait... he's not that bad, the littler one was more... intense" His eyes turned, their golden brown mixture landed on Blue and he smirked at her. "Sorry, lighten the mood right?" he shrugged and shook his pelt out stretching once again. "Fighting time. Do you take part in these or do you get to have special sitting off the side privilege? Being his right hand man and all?"
Jacob was a jokester. He kept the mood light, kept it awake with jokes and humor, how else would they survive. He could be serious though if need be, right now, not so much. Of course the only problem with that though was he didn't know this female at all. He could be making jokes and she'd go tattle on him to Blackjack. That would be a trip. Get accepted into a pack and to get kicked out moments later for being to big of a clown.

| Blackjack chuffed and said nothing, watching the odd little Lundehund vanish from where he came. He smirked and nodded at Jacob's words - this seemed to be more of the kind of fellows he could agree with than others. "I think you're actually the last of the new arrivals," he said, and turned around. He spotted Blue near the meat cache, and knew that he would have to speak with her as soon as possible, but he had also noticed that the other dogs had took to lying in their dens. For a dog that had been taken out of his cage every day for a match or ruthless training, lazing around would not do. "And if you're not too exhausted, I'm about to teach these dogs what fighting is all about."
Whether Jacob would follow him or not, Jack loped up to the dens, finding most of the dogs resting peacefully. Tauro's legs were kicking and his ears were twitching, as if caught in a dream. Jack raised his head and barked, loud enough to disturb their slumber, but not enough to cause an alarm. "Everyone," he said, his vocals deep and graveled. "Outside in fifteen. No slacking." He then turned and headed back out, refusing to listen to any bickering, if there was any. He had run with several gangs in the City, and if there was one thing he knew, it was that they would need to be tight and fierce.
Blue watched Jack head into the dens, and took it as her cue to approach Jacob. She strode up to him, dark tail swishing behind her. "Sorry if he's a bit gruff," she said, motioning at Jack's stoic, heavy form in the distance. "It's something you get used to. I'm Blue, the gang's Beta." She observed this bru, dark in complexion like herself, but with flecks of gold instead of midnight. Something about him had her wondering where he had come from, what he had seen, as did all of the other dogs that had come to these lands. Each one was different, and each one had sought a home away from home...

| Navox only shook his head. "I'm not protesting anything. Just stating my views. It is nice to see that even a alpha of dogs doesn't find them... interesting to listen to. Your bull headedness will be the end of you" He shook his head and turned finding Jacob standing there. "Goodbye, take care" he then walked past his companion and into the trees. Scout him to find him gone, either way, he was outta this heap of a 'pack'. He would go find something, somewhere to call home. Even if he joined, the wolves. A smile crossed his features with the thought and he departed into the lone lands. OOC:|| Don't have any thoughts for him. I was loosing my mind so I made him go bye bye Jacob though is staying. BIC:|| Jacob didn't even turn to watch Navox go. "You win some, you loose some" he said addressing Blackjack "And in that case, it's okay to loose some" he smirked and shrugged. "What's next, do I make my way greeting the others of the clan?" he has spied many other dogs coming to watch the new dogs being greeted.
ooc:|| K next one will be better, I need to get off for now. LOVE YOU ALL ^.^

| Blackjack raised a brow. "How very interesting," he simply replied. It appeared that either a fall from grace or a loss of leadership was what brought most to his lands. Regardless, it was place where all dogs would be sheltered from the wolves. Jacob, like Kane, seemed to be a man of few words, but it was not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes, it was better than one that talked too much. Blackjack turned his attention back to Navox, who seemed annoyed and eager to speak again. "What is it, Navox?" he asked. He was inwardly growing impatient with the yappy thing, but he did not snap just yet. "I've explained to you the views of the pack. If you disagree with them, I suggest you turn tail."
Crossing over the rocky border of Tirisfal and Hamara, Blue loped back into the lands. Things were much greener now than when she had first arrived - grass sprouted from the mud, waterfalls gushed crystal and clear, and the soil was dark and rich with herbs. Mushrooms even cropped up in the nooks of hollow trees and moss crawled over dead logs. The air was still foggy, but not in the cold mist that had been there when she and the other dogs had first arrived - it was warm, almost. While Tirisfal had been fresh and blooming, Hamara was wet and flourishing. She flitted between the tree giants of the Redwood Forest, and then emerged onto the landscape made flat by the typhoon. The area was still a desolate place, but the greenery told her that by the end of summer, things would be renewed. She reached the log jam and spied Blackjack speaking with two more dogs, and noticed that more had joined them in her leave. It seemed that word of their group had traveled fast, and it was no wonder why.
Her first goal was to report to Blackjack, but she knew that it was best to wait. Hopefully, none had tested his patience yet to reveal the monster inside him. Her nose led her to the meat cache of the remaining elk. Her journey had built up a hunger in her. She ripped off several pieces of the moist dinner, making a mental note that the stock would not last much longer, not because of so many mouths to feed, but of how quickly the meat seemed to spoil. With the warming of the weather, insects were starting to discover the cache and make it their home. Give the meat another few days, and it would be completely rotten. Their work would be a waste. If everyone ate some every day, though, perhaps not.

| Navox gave a wag of his tail while Blackjack responded to him. Didn't loose his temper, well that was nice, now though, his words pierced but the hound kept his tail going. Before he could address the dog back attention was given to Jacob. He had created a testing, a way for this dog to see them as on or off his level. Jacob sat there though, silence as loud as his words. "I grew up with humans, when my master's son was killed by a bear they went hunting. We invaded their territory as we do now, they don't like that very much. And when they attacked. We attacked. My right had general was killed by a black wolf... I'll never let them close enough like that again. So to answer your question. No. Our views are highly different." He turned to Navox who was rolling his eyes and proceeded to want to speak to the leader. Jacob had brought the dog here, but if he decided to get himself killed, then that was his own problem. Only, if the dog left and went to wolves... then the dogs would have a problem. Silver Tongue. The dog was good with his words, and fit for a spy. He turned back to Blackjack waiting to see what would happen. He didn't care, he was where he had heard of, where he had been told from the other dogs that the city was here now, without humans. He personally hadn't come from a city, he had met a departing city dog on a scout for his master and he had been told of this place. These dogs knew the pale skins... Jacob knew the indian type two legged humans. The ones who saved everything and didn't let it go to waste... he was very different from these dogs, and they would never know why... they'd never know why he left, why he came here, why he left such a great home... | |

| Blackjack watched the Lundhund circle around them. He glanced at Jacob with a brow raised, and then went back to Navox, listening to him speak. When he finished, a smirk crossed Jack's dark features, and then he threw his head back and laughed, his deep, graveling vocals rolling. "You are a strange one," he said. "Why, if we could associate with bears, it would be in our benefit. As I said, though, the wolves think dogs as puny and weak. You think that them alongside us would make us stronger? No. That is preposterous. They're different from you and I. We can control ourselves. Our impulses to kill, however strong, is nowhere near as strong as a wolf's. They will slaughter you without a second thought. We have been trained and taught the value of restraint. To allow them into these lands and join us... would only create chaos. As for them being nice to you, well... You know what they say about a wolf in sheep's clothing."
All the while he said this, he looked at the odd spitz sitting in front of him, wondering if he had any idea of what a real, bloodthirsty wolf was like. He turned his gaze to Jacob. "And what about you? What do you think of wolves?" he asked. "Do you and your friend here share the same views?"

| Navox was the first to pipe up to the world he was now in. Wolves. He had plenty of experience with them. Plenty. Tons. So much. Hunting in their lands. Ohhhhh, why did they have a problem with them? He turned to Jacob who was eyeing the 'leader' with no specific look. Boredom? No. Jacob was a thinker, that's what he was. "Why just wolves?" Navox asked, stepping away and making a small circle around the two dogs. "Did you ever think how strong you could be with more wolves here... with the ones who accept you?..." He turned to Jacob as he heard a hush but the Lundehound didn't care. He had a bit to speak. "You've obviously been in contact with them. Why do you hate them?" he asked sitting in front of this dog pack leader. "You are obviously a pack, of dogs, but you could be so much more. I mean, if bears could associate with dogs would you allow them access here? Because that would be some accomplishment. I only ask this and wonder all this because I have been around so many wolves before, rather nice ones in fact" He smiled towards the leader dog then felt Jacob come up beside him, almost preparing himself for the counter from this leader, from Blackjack. Did the hound just temper the 'king' here? | |

| Anubis listened to Jack’s words carefully, which sent a wave of strange feeling over his senses; he blinked hard, as though he was given an ultimatum that would greatly affect his life. He proceeded to venture away from Jack and the newcomers, casually and wordlessly; he no longer needed to stay there for the two parties to become fully acquainted. It wasn’t that Anubis didn’t care, it was just…well, okay, maybe he didn’t really care, at least not during this moment in time. He hadn’t quite thought up how he would respond to knowing Viator and Bos would most likely be working alongside him in his duties, or worse, taking his duties. It was a bit of a mix between anger and determination; nothing new to Anubis. Arriving where Jack and the two greyhounds had been conversing, their bodies had disappeared, yet their scents remained clear in the air. Tauro was still standing nearby since Jack and the two greyhounds had went their separate ways. They couldn’t have possibly moved very far. The two dogs were probably housed in new dens, presumably weakened from their travels; he doubted they would take this opportunity to go “exploring”. Glaring with suspicion at the spot where they had been standing, he spoke to himself. “This could get interesting…” | |

| Blackjack turned to Anubis, listening to his report, and nodded. "All right then. You may stay here with us or go do as you please... I think you'll be interested to know that the two greyhounds, Bos and Viator, are also in the scout position with you," he said, and said nothing more of it, as he had no doubt that this would not sit well with the hot-headed little terrier. While he, as the leader, had allowed the two dogs to have the rank, it was a rank they would have to be fighting for if they truly wanted to keep it. Such was the way of the pack. He turned to the two dogs and smiled. "Likewise," he said in response to Jacob saying that he was a Dutch Shepherd. They were very similar in size and shape - dark and large - but more muscle was packed on Jack's build than Jacob's. Regardless, the two before him were obviously of no threat and in fact, very interested as to what was happening in their corner of the world.
"I'm glad to hear that you've heard of this place. On my way out of the City, I told the little terrier that smuggled us out to spread the word... I don't know what rumors you've heard, per say, but I can tell you this truth - we are a pack of dogs living in the wilds among wolves," he said. Here, his tone grew heavy and dark, and there was a rather malicious gleam in his eye; the kind of gleam a man got when he thought of spilling blood for pleasure. But why Jack drew pleasure out of the thought of killing wolves was much, much deeper than bloodlust. "But to say that we live peacefully is an understatement. The wolves think dogs as puny and weak - I intend to show them how wrong they are. Call me and the dogs around me a gang, an army, or whatever you wish, but know that our intentions is to slaughter any wolf within our boundaries. Right now, we are small, but as you can see, our numbers are growing. I hope that these cruel intentions hasn't dissuaded either of you from staying for a while." His beetle-black eyes turned to them in curiosity, wondering what they thought. In the back of his mind, Jack was beginning to grow impatient - where was Blue, and why was she taking so long?
