*Jewel*

"OOUUFFF!" was the sound that came from her lips as she was rolled by her brother who was quickly becoming much larger than her. "No fair!" she yelled and shoved him off of her with a giggle only to jump on him and grab his scruff giving it a good shake. Her little puppy curves were begining to lengthen out and her creamy white pelt was shedding out to a stark white which made the two toned jewels in her face pop. She gave Robbie one last shove and lept to her paws, banner waving. She looked at Nuri with a smile and then her keen petite ears swiveled as she caught the sound of footfalls. Her gaze followed. Silent was back. She yipped a greeting and ran almost gracefully over to the alphess, but stopped short seeing the stranger. Her tail didn't tuck but it lowered slightly and she froze for a moment. The stranger must be welcome or Silent wouldn't have allowed him this close. Her ivory plume set to motion again. "HI Silent!' she said and came up under the alphess's chin in greeting. "Who is that?" she asked in her high octive and then looked back to where the rest of the pack was settled.

Such a divine land, and a peaceful pack, didn’t need an assassin. It would disturb the tranquility of the land, if an assassination were to ever take place. He knew it possible; he knew he could perform one. Yet, he refrained from requesting such a rank. Cardinal didn’t want to be suspicious, nor did he have interest in killing. Hunter wasn’t entirely a rank, unless it was lead hunter. The pack would hunt together, or so he assumed. That was his perception of a pack, and that was what happened in his old home. Guardian, a more suitable rank. Cardinal didn’t need to go to another pack and kill, no, he was much better at staying within the pack and defending it. Keeping the assassins at bay, possibly killing them in turn. Enough blood was on his paws that the thought bothered him, blood that was his kin’s and former pack mates. A suppressed shudder and Cardinal returned to normal. A brief smile danced across his maw at her approval, and her words. He knew little of the other packs within the land, though he could only assume there were a few dark ones. “Then you shall have it, my queen.” Cardinal replied, nodding and smiling briefly once more. Protection, he knew he could provide that.

Auds pricked at the sound of tiny paws, and a tiny voice. Lanterns turned to Silent, before turning to look upon the newcomers. Cardinal smirked upon seeing the pup hide behind the older one, and his gaze settled on the mother. Silent’s words made him smirk once more, having heard them just a short while ago. Cardinal padded away a bit, not wishing to interrupt Silent and the newcomers. He was a little worried of simply padding further into the land, but he gave that worry up. Cardinal’s gaze shifted about as he pressed on, glancing back only briefly. Cardinal sought the shade, as he entered the mainland. Letting his body relax on the cool terra, his lanterns shifted around. Easily spotting the small group of playing wolves, he smiled as he watched the pups and the male. Averting from them, his gaze shifted to his surroundings. A peaceful land, where the wolves played rather then killed each other.

Doctor quite enjoyed this time of peace, although he noticed there were quite a few newcomers lately. Perhaps this was a good sign that the pack would grow in number and strengthen. If things continued to look up, then maybe his piping interest to travel and wander will lessen. It wasn't good to travel alone all the time, nor was it healthy to change traveling companions...

He wondered how they were doing... He had to leave all of them at some point. Some rejoined with him again, but things happened that made him need to leave them again. Perhaps now that he settled with a pack, death and disaster wouldn't follow him around so much anymore. It was something to hope for, since he didn't want to see another complete disaster.

Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 30 Silentbanner

Silent wathed him quietly as he contemplated what he would be best-suited to, and she could see the wheels turning within his mind. Many things seemed to flash through his mind, and she wondered what the slightly worried look was that flickered in his eyes, only to disappear as confidence in his decision replaced it. He requested the rank of hunter, as well as guardian. She would be more than willing to give him both; the pack hunted together, so he would be known as a Guardian above anything. "I think it would be great if you took on the role of Guardian," she told him, nodding her head in approval, "We need all the protection we can get."

In these times, danger could lurk around every corner, behind every rock and ridge. Muerta threatened their borders, and she knew that Jabbar was behind them if she were to retaliate. It was a difficult situation, one that she was unsure about. All the help they could get would be wonderful. Especially with young roaming the pack. Well, if Cardinal proved himself, he might soon go up through the ranks, as Mirove seemed to have disappeared, forfeiting her Guardian rank.

Just then a voice filled the air, and the loud thumping of untrained paws crashing toward them. Silent smirked as the face of a young she-wolf appeared, followed quickly by her mother, whom she soon took refuge behind. She smiled graciously, flicking her tail into the air. "Greetings," she said softly, amber orbs resting upon the young mother, "You are in the lands of Tirisfal Valley, and I am its Alphaess, Silent Snowfall. Do you seek a home, or refuge here in these divine lands?" She canted her head to the side, ears perked curiously toward the female and her daughter, more than willing to take them in. Every addition was welcome, and it made her glad and proud to give a home to those who came here without one.

Nuri had laughed at Jewel and let her tug on his ear but now merely watched as she stalked her brother. Robbie had been looking someplace else distracted for a moment then Jewel caught his eye. She was stalking towards him and he pretended not to notice. Then she looked behind her checking her back and a smile crept over his maw and in an instant he was on her unsuspecting front. Tackling her and rolling playfully. While watching for Koda she had forgotten about him! "Gotcha!" He crowed in delight.

*Jewel*

Jewel sighed relief when Nuri covered them to protect herself and Robbie from the bees. She shivered. Ohhh that one sting had hurt sooo much! She caught Robbie's glare toward Koda. She knew how he felt. Koda always stole the attention away from Robbie. She cocked her head at him and made a funny face, hoping to make her brother laugh, but then Nuri got up and made Robbie smile. Jewel was glad for that and she leaned against Nuri's leg. Favorite Uncle. When he licked her nose she giggled, he called her his little jem, and nodded. "Yes Nuri." she said and then promply jumped up and attached herself to his ear. She growled playfully and didn't tug to hard. She did want to hurt him.

Then she spied Robbie and released Nuri's ear and began to stalk him openly. Slowly, slowly she crept. Trying not to waver as she placed her puppy paws. She paused and stopped to check her back. This postion would be all too tempting for Koda to attack her while she wasn't paying attention.

Nuri Bade & Robin Jr.
Robbie was over his sullen mood in a second as he bounded at his sister's heels. He had very much the same attitude about Nuri. The favorie uncle and sort of a punching bag. Nuri's attention was once again stolen away from Silent as Jewel and Robbie came bounding over to him and a smile broke across his features. He leaned back on the ground on his back to a playful postion as Jewel climbed on him and Robbie jumped on the scruff of his neck and playfully took a mouthfull. A much higher voice took his auds and he recognized it as Koda and he cast a questioning gaze about. He saw the young pup bounding towards him only to trip over his big paws. Nuri winced in sympathy at the fall but otherwise took it in good humor. Even when he reemerged shouting 'bees' Nuri merely rolled over and blocked Jewel and Robbie in case any came over to them. Robbie had also looked over to where the commotion was and frowned when he saw Koda running towards them. He never listened did he? His frown turned into a scowl when he announced bees and he glared at his brother but it was cut off with Nuri's bulk. Nuri had been stung by one but it was a mere pinch. Curling himself around the two pups and covering them with his tassle he also covered his face and became stone. Soon enough the bee's disappated. Uncovering them once more he saw Robbie dark mood. "No need for frowns little one, it was only an accident." With that he swatted at the young hessian who could not help but laugh and playfully run away. Looking at Jewel he licked her nose. "Are you okay my little gem?" He smiled kindly at her knowing the episode had frigtened her.

Ooc:|| Alright. Serenity and God are done for. Shall we introduce my other character. I can't get into those two, so this one is my new one. I want more here then just Koda. Thus. I create some new wolfies. =D. I like them better then those other two.

Bic:||

It had been quite some time since she had been alone. At age one she had been courted with Roger. A handsom bru, slightly smaller then she was but a gentle creature none the less. He had showered her in gift and affection. In forms of flowers and pretty rocks and crystals. Her parents had approved of him and was very forward with the idea of mateship. She wasn't too keen on the idea, she felt too young and he had only been the first she loved. They were together for what seemed like years but it had only been a few months. The courtship had ended because of his interest in someone else. It was quite interesting though, to see the need he wanted for her after she was fine for his choice.

Then came Drew. He had been a royal gentlemen till the end. She had endured too much with him though, from other fems to his family hating her. They hadn't had a reason as to why she needed to be hated by them, but it was easy for them to do so. That had lasted longer, till she was almost three, and he hadn't made a commitment. She had loved him with all her heart, and when he chose Liss over her she had broken down to nothing. She went into a depression the world around her stopped turning and she lived in a blur of her own. It wasn't hard to find a rebound for herself but she found it within Issac.

It had been fast, if only a month or two before she knew what she was doing. It was a mistake, a big one, and she regretted it even to this day. As he head dropped down in shame her eyes locked onto the little fur ball beneith her. A smile broke across her maw and she laughed as her daughter tried to step with each step she took. "Aslan, you're silly" her voice was soft, gentle, kind. She was a mother of all mothers. She loved her daughter with everything she had, for she was the only thing she had left in the world. Her daughter looked up and smiled towards her, her toothy grin was so simple but it was a light that would brighten the darkest of caves.

Her ears perked up and she looked ahead towards the sound of voices. She kept walking forward and her daughter went out from under her chest and ran forward. "Aslan! Don't you dare!" She ran after her daughter and caught up quickly. She didn't pick her up but she did start trotting next to her running whelp. "Sweetie, why don't you slow down, she'll have already heard you coming from back there you're okay to come to a slower walk" She smiled as her daughter didn't listen and she shook her head. "Excuse me!" she called after the females walking. "Excuse me!" She kept walking after them coming up quickly and slowing down. Her daughter was now shy, and she hid behind her as they both came up to the two females walking...

At her command he began padding after her, on her right but a bit behind out of respect. If there was anything that he was taught in his homeland, it was respect. However he knew they viewed him with little of it, here would hopefully be different. Cardinal liked to believe himself respectful, and normally he never really came in where he wasn’t wanted. His gaze went about the land as he followed Silent through it, getting a good glimpse of everything. After all, it would be his new home. Auds flicked to catch Silent’s lyrics, and he smiled briefly. Request a rank right away. He found it interesting, and his mind began turning on what would best suit him. Other then a simple hunter, which was required by all the pack anyways, Cardinal recalled being a spy. Not to mention the one time him and his brother hunted another wolf, a pure. The memory hit him hard, and he sighed quietly. Assassin. The amount of blood was fresh in his mind, which bothered him. Cardinal wondered what Silent would think, if she knew his background. He was different now, he would never go back to that life. Yet, it would haunt him. His paws were stained with the blood of a pure, and here he was trying to be one.

Cardinal was definitely a good fighter, that much was clear on his appearance. He was a large build, but he was still quick and agile. A born warrior really. His mind flicked over the ranks, and he smiled. “Anything simple, such as a hunter would do. Though if m’lady would permit, I wouldn’t mind guardian.” Cardinal replied finally, after the silence of thoughts. He held his tongue against saying what he truly thought, assassin. Cardinal didn’t want to be suspicious. It was a peaceful pack, that much was certain. Having an assassin probably wasn’t needed, yet. A born warrior. A guardian was a good enough post for Cardinal. He knew pures were not weak when confronting a dark, but Cardinal wouldn’t hesitate. He had been on the other side, he knew their thoughts. All the smooth talk was just a disguise, to get close enough for the attack. Card had it in his mind to be a guardian for the pack, and a loyal one. Though that came with time, and he had hopes to prove himself to his new alphess.

Silent watched him as he rose and bowed his head respectfully, and she nodded approval. He seemed an alright fellow, and she was glad for it. The more that joined the pack, the better and the merrier. "The pleasure is all mine Cardinal," she said, and hearing his wish to find a home in the valley, she turned quickly to head back to the mainlands. "Walk with me," she requested of him, and began padding back, "Now, as a new wolf, I always give you the privelege of requesting a rank suiting to your skills. If it is available, you will likely be given the rank. Higher ranks, of course, require trust-building and testing." She realized she was chatting quite a bit, more than usual, and cleared her throat consciously.

"Anyways, Cardinal, do you have anything specific in mind as to what might be best for you?" she asked, head canting to the side as she looked back at him. She was always interested in knowing what sorts of tasks her pack members would be up to in the future. This way, she could plan for the future with more ease as well. Thoughts of Muerta flashed through her mind, momentarily making her blood boil, but she kept her cool. With so few pack mates, and several pups, it was too risky a time to strike back at them, and she knew it. But eventually, Muerta must pay a price for taking the innocent lives of her pack, and injuring others without reason.

Lanterns had been shut, while awaiting the arrival of some wolf. He knew that it was not always the alpha, what with having to take care of a pack. He had been sent to fetch a newcomer once, one who wasn’t to pleased with the ‘errand’ boy. Cardinal smirked at the memory, having very nearly fought the male then and there. Perhaps out of disrespect, or for the fun of it. After all he had shown dominance, even though he was much younger then the new arrival. That situation could’ve become much more difficult, had the male decided he truly didn’t like the idea of a pup fetching him. Artiske, if his memory was right, even sought to argue about it. Not entirely wise with the alpha, but he managed to stay within the pack. Cardinal recalled even training with the older male on a few occasions. The words spat between alpha and newcomer was highly unusual, but Cardinal could see that his former alpha liked the fight in the elder bruja. However he had been put into his place, and became a pack member shortly. Auds perked at the sounds about him, the buzzing of bugs, and the low breeze brushing past the green. Nares flared for a scent, which caught his attention. The approached of a wolf, Cardinal smiled briefly. Who wouldn’t be interested to see the reaction, when coming upon a wolf with a large marking. Through his travels he had received a few glances from very brief meetings with lone wolves, or other packs. Few said much, but their hues wandered to it.

Lanterns shut once more, but auds perked at the approaching sound. Once it stopped, he smiled. Orbs opened once more to catch the warm smile, which he returned. He was graced with meeting the alphess immediately, which pleased him. Of course any wolf would prefer meeting the alpha first, they were the ones who decided a wolf’s fate. Upon his leave of his dark homeland, Cardinal had briefly stayed with one neutral pack. Where he realized how much difference there was between alignments. He stayed only briefly, a couple of nights, before departing. He was accepted into that pack, only because they did not care about his background. Anger had still seeped through him, during that first week of leaving his homeland. Anger that showed what he had been before, at that point Cardinal knew no pure would accept him. Not until he dismissed the entire land altogether. Cardinal stood, once the wolfess showed dominance. Nares flared at the sudden scent, but he held back any reaction that might’ve come. He knew she didn’t do it intentionally, only to show dominance. Though he couldn’t deny the sudden lurch on his heart, by the sweet scent of a fem in heat. Once her lyrics died, he smiled briefly and bowed. Card could tell she spoke the words to every newcomer. “ Pleasure, Silent Snowfall.” Lyrics fell charmingly, but another low dip showed respect for her. “I am Cardinal, and I do seek a home in your land.” Lanterns never escaped her gaze, and another smile spread across his maw. Cardinal knew she must’ve thought about the scar, everyone did. He also knew he would get that for the rest of his life, a reminder of what he once was.

Virtuous hearts; Tirisfal Valley - Page 30 Silentbanner

Silent could see that both Ali and Robin were very preoccupied with their whelps. However, it seemed she was receiving a little attention from the pups, if a little bit negative. She was saddened by this, but they were still young, not understanding her reasons for wanting to spend time with Koda. It certainly had nothing to do with favoritism, so she hoped they would see this one day. She noted within her mind that she must make a point of spending time with all the pups soon. She smiled to both Jewel and Robbie, wagging her tail, before they turned to run off and play some more.

She dipped her head to Ali, giving her the time she needed to contemplate her offer of pupsitting for a later time. She needed to get some things done now, her heat beginning to run thin. It was beginning to bother her, not impatiently, but in a worriesome way. What if her heat ended before she could have the time to conceive. Her chest tightened at the thought of having to wait another few seasons until the opportunity arose once more. What if her mate had grown too old by then? She shook it from her mind, and came closer to the den area. She spotted Nuri immediately, but it seemed Koda was up to no good, as she saw him running straight for the older wolf. She felt a small flicker of annoyance as the pup disobeyed his father to run off and play when he had been told to meet in the den.

About to interfere, she turned suddenly, ears perked, at the sound of a howl. Shin'Ai's scent disappeared from the lands, as another arrived to replace her. She was saddened by this sudden departure, but not entirely confused - she had seemed like a fairly shy and intimidated individual, so perhaps the pack life had not been for her. She was glad for another new member, though his timing was inconvenient. But she was not about to shirk her duties for her own wants. Shooting Nuri an apologetic look for not being able to help him sort the pups out right now, she then turned and headed towards the border, where the male's call had come from.

She found him sitting patiently in wait, though she felt suspicion claw at her heart as she approached the visibly scarred brute. She hoped that he was not one to fight amongst valued pack members, for she would not cope well with such behaviour. It had never occured in her pack thus far, and she intended to continue nurturing the peaceful environment. Regardless of her original feelings, she cast it all aside and sent him a warm smile, trotting over to him confidently, tail held in a dominant position. She did not consciously flaunt her seasonal scent, though it did waft into the air as her banner stood tall.

"Greetings, and welcome to Tirisfal Valley," she said with a polite dip of her head, "I am Silent Snowfall, the pack's Alphaess. Do you seek a home within these divine lands?" Her usual greeting, so well-rehearsed, was issued to him as fairly as it was to anybody else. She had no right to judge any, and she refused to ever do so based on a wolf's appearance, or any physical attribute. As long as a wolf's heart was in the right place, they would be welcome here by any means. Standing as patiently as possible considering her circumstances, her intense gaze resting upon him, she awaited his response.

How many decisions was there, in chosing a pack, or a land for that matter? Much too many, even for one wolf. Sure, by now one should've decided on an alignment. However that worked. Though there was a vast amount of differences between light, dark, and neutral, there was also a gaping chasm of similarities. It seemed a rare thing for some wolf who grew up in a pack teeming with darkness, to turn towards the light. Likewise with the light wolves, darkness could easily seep into their hearts. As for the neutrals, the granite bruja wasn't sure. In his mind, there was only choice. Dark or Light. Though he supposed he could see where the neutrals came from. The didn’t see the point in darkness or the light, and he realized that the fighting between the two could easily be another reason for neutrality. Cardinal didn’t see much reason in the fighting, except that neither alignment liked the other. Then again, the one could not live without the other. Where would be the entertainment? Card smirked as he padded his way through the green, his amber gaze shifting about. He sighed as he came upon a border. And for a brief moment, his eyes flashed to the side. Through the green he spotted a blur of white, and the scent of a wolfess. Her frame crossed the border and disappeared, as much as he was curious, Cardinal stood still. His thoughts lingered on the alignments, even though he knew his place. For now he would wait, his thoughts were vast and distracting him from calling into the pack.

It very well could be because he had once been called Burial. Born and raised in a dark pack, the son of two demons. Surrounded by a large pit of darkness, that even his light couldn’t penetrate. Cardinal remembered everything, that he was a good actor aswell. It wasn’t at first, when he realized he was birthed into the wrong lands. As it was normal to be a dark in a dark pack, which Burial had been. Cardinal was different, and that life was gone. Chased off by the wolves of pitch, the ones who had once called him heir. How disappointed his parents must have been, to learn they birthed a pure. Cardinal had slowly got over his past, and the pain he caused the parents he loved dearly. Even if they casted him from the pack. They had a new heir, a truly dark one. It wasn’t like he was needed, and it wasn’t like he belonged there. He sighed at the memories, of everything that transpired that night. From changing his own calling, to informing the pack of his new alignment. At first they thought it a joke, but Cardinal had become furious with their laughter. Once he spit out that he didn’t belong, that his heart wasn’t wretched, everyone listened. An endless moment after that, growls were emitted. Chased off, and nearly ripped apart. Cardinal recalled fighting not only his former friends, but one of his brothers. He winced at the memory and sighed once more, looking around. He was far from that place, and now he was different. He only hoped his past wasn’t reflected in him. His features were fierce, thanks to the intense training when he was younger. Quite a few scars lined his frame. One snaked up his nape to below his left hue, the one he thanked his brother for. It was visible, but fur covered it up so it did not look grotesque. While Cardinal was proud of the fight he put up, he knew the scar wasn’t the best thing to look at. It showed his past of dealing with wolves, though none knew that it was his brother.

Finally, lyrics poured forth, as his crania rose to meet the sky. Just as one wolfess left, a bruja arrived. He wondered why the fem had left, but it didn’t matter much to him. For now, his only interest was becoming a pack member. Being around wolves that were like him, though he wasn’t sure how alike he would be with actual pures. He wondered if any of them had been down dark roads, he supposed every wolf must go down dark roads. Some enjoyed it, while others fled it. Another sigh escaped his maw, Cardinal sat and waited for a response.

*Jewel*

Jewel heard Koda's screams and spit Nuri's tail out. "No you won't Koda!" she yelled "You are in trouble!" Then the scream of bees rang out and Jewel ducked in between Nuri's legs. "I don't like bees Nuri!" Jewel really didn't. She had snapped one up once and it had stung her tounge. After that she had a slight fear of the tiny insects. She shot Robbie a panicked look and pushed herself against Nuri's belly. Darn that Koda! Always trouble!

Doctor turned at the unfamiliar voices introducing themselves, and stood up to be polite. When he heard their names, especially God's, his expression was an odd mix of nostalgia and mild dislike. He quickly rectified himself, "I see no need for either of you to apologize, especially if you excuse my reaction to your... outcasted name. It's quite ironic for the scattered members of my still-living family to meet a wolf with a name like that. Anyways, Serenity, Cash, my name is Doctor. It, too, is a name I picked for myself."

He looked towards the river, where he figured Silent was now, and assured the two, "I'm sure both of you will be accepted members of the pack if you wish to stay. I saw our alphess, Silent, earlier checking up on something, but she's not busy at the moment."

It was a joke, a crude one by their parents. It was a horrible way for them to be named. God, a brute, who's parent's way of choice was to force them into choosing sides of light and dark, no...no they didn't choose sides, they had no choice. In the end they had eventually found the need to run away. God hadn't been to keen on leaving the pack, for there were slaves there that didn't belong, but his sister's scared form and looks pluked the strings in his heart and he had to leave with her but his last words on the lands of Greindich was that he would come back for his fellow slaves. He would saught out their parents and rip their eyes from their skulls and leave them to fend for themselves while he and the rest of the pack ran away for good, for the end.

"Hey... Cash, you're growling again" His sister's voice caught his attention and he looked over to her as they walked. She had one green eye, and the other was a open mass of blindness. His ears fell back and he nudged her under the chin. "I'm sorry. I was thinking of going back, not without finding you a home, and getting settled, but...it's hard" He felt her nudged him softly in the shoulder and he smiled as she patted him on the rump with her tail. "I know. I know. Look for wolves everywhere. I'm sure we're not in tainted lands. I haven't seen a scolding look in quite some time. You have no worries sister. I'm here. I know what to do. Now hush...we approach a wolf." God slowed his sister by stepping infront of her and they approached the drank laying down.

"Pray excuse us sir. We seek a safe haven to reside in, as any other wolf that should pass through these lands. We've traveled far, and if by chance we'd be allowed to rest here for a short or lengthened time..." He looked at his sister, who had her right eye focused on the wolf. Again, his ears fell back in shame and then his green eyes flicked back to the brute. His white pelt was gleaming in the sun, and his orbs flashed upwards as the voice of a whelp meshed into the air. There were families here. A smile slipped over his maw slowly. "Excuse him. I'm Serenity. And his names God, but everyone now...well. He wants to be known as Cash... God is the name our parents gave him, and we're not to fond of them" She was open, there was no need to be shy here, she felt safe.

She felt God clear his throat in appology to the brute (Doctor)...

courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.—

((I'm slowly posting my wolves again...))

Doctor was quite content until he heard yelling. It was... He was jostled out of his thoughts when the pup's name was yelled by Jewel. That's right- Koda. He wasn't annoyed by the presence of the young one, although it would be a little nice if Koda liked a bit of silent peace here and there. At the same time, it wasn't a bad thing to have an overly active pup- at least, one more overly active than the others.

Luckily, it was still relatively peaceful and no warring to worry about. So, perhaps in that sense it was nice to have something the pack could focus on. He looked down and noted that he was healed enough to at least hunt, if not fight once again.

Koda instantly heard the commanding voice of his father. His eyes watched as Jewel struck him with harsh words and he only stuck his tongue out at her. Robbie was pressed into their mother and Koda looked up at his father, his ears pressed back and he began a march towards the den. His attention was caught off guard though and he perked right back up when he heard Jewel speak of Nuri. He smiled and his tassle wagged quickly. "OH! NURI!" he bellowed! He knew his father wouldn't approve, and he tried to hold back. He made a weird walk towards the den, half going towards Nuri, Jewel, and Robbie, and half going towards the den.

He wouldn't make it to them, but he looked back at his father and checked to see how far he was. He could make it running! He took off quickly, uneven paws heading towards Jewel. "I'll get your tail!" he screamed. He was about to get a foot away when his too big of paws tripped themselves and he went rolling. He passed by his sister and slid to a stop in a flower bed. You could only see his nose, and then he stood and yelped running from the brush. "Bees!!! RUN!!!" He raced around Nuri and Jewel before heading back towards his father. "Dad! DAD!" he was screaming at the top of his lungs. "Alright!" he ran from his dad and headed into the den. He stood in there panting, the cool air raced in and out of his lungs and he smiled. He needed to get her tail!

Koda poked his head out of the den, his ears were perked up and he had a devilish grin on his face. His eyes were locked on Jewel. "I'm going to get you!!!" he screamed at her. Oh...he sounded like a pup alright, having not grown too much yet. He was kinda small, smaller then Robbie. A disproportion to his siblings and parents. It was a semi reason as to why he was such a brat, he was the smallest, he had to make himself seen. It probably would be better to act like Robbie, all smart no games, but he liked Jewel's tactic better, and the noise, and games were alot more fun then just being quiet all the time.

The white pup with orange spots glanced as his father. This was the first time he was debating on to go, or not go...

*Jewel*

Jewel heard her brother's lyrics and then her two toned gaze flicked up to Silent. She wagged her plume in present to the queen and smiled but only after she followed her brother's instinctual act. She too was wondering why the alphess seemed to want to spend more time with Koda. It made her slightly jealous and she was wondering why Koda got special privalge after being so naughty. She wanted to snort and show her discontent but then her brother nudged her and followed his suite, disgusted with the manners of adults. Mismatched orbs watched as Robbie headed back to Nuri and she picked up her oversized puppy paws and ran to Nuri. "Nuri!" she said playfully but not at her ususal octive. After father's reprimand she felt slightly embarrassed to be loud. Leaping onto the bru she scrambled halfway up his back and slid back down. To Jewel, Nuri was like that favorite uncle. Then she promptly began to tussle with his tassel. "C''mon Robbie!" she said through a mouthful of fur.

Robbie looked over at Jewel and leaned away from their mother. He just realized he probably looked really weak just then. He reprimanded himself in his mind and shrugged in response to her question averting her eyes. "I'm fine...Koda is just being Koda." Hues flashed up to the alphess and he tucked his tail in as an automatic response. Even his ears lowered slightly. All of this was subconcious movement and instinct. Looking at Jewel he stood and scooted away from his mother and nudged his sister. "Come on, lets go do something..." He wondered why Silent would even want to be near Koda, but that was the mystery of adults. Ducking around his sister he headed back towards Nuri who was sitting and watching Silent with what appeared to be amusement.

Sharp ambers only held their gaze for so long on Shin'ai before the Alphaess took the prolonged silence as a 'yes'. "Speak to me when you might have an inkling as to your interests, Shin'Ai," she said, dipping her head in dismissal. She had already eaten, and had things to do. She would need to speak with Robin, though he was busy with his family right now. Also she wanted to speak with Nuri, and have some time alone with him. She was ready to approach him, when a sudden shrill cry sounded from the direction of the lake. Her ears flattened, though Silent recognized who the voice belonged to. Jewel. She had always been loud, and it was difficult to ignore.

Curious, and slightly concerned as to the reasoning behind her screaming, Silent had to go forth. If there was any danger, the Alphaess must respond to it immediately. Trotting at a high pace, she soon found herself near the lake shore, with Robin giving some stern words to his unusual son Koda. The boy was not around often, but when he was, he was certainly a handful. Loud and outgoing like his sister, with the same capabilities of the mind of his brother and father. He would need some strict upbringing to become a civilized addition to Tirisfal Valley.

"Is everything alright?" she called out anyways, glancing to where Ali sat with Junior tucked into her warmth as though afraid, "I heard a cry, and just wanted to make sure you're all okay." She glanced around at them all, seeing no one injured, though there was a bit of irritation radiating from them all, save for Koda of course. So it seemed he had caused the trouble on this innocent fishing trip. Silent did not intervene, leaving it to the parents, but she wondered if some pupsitting would do him well later on. Seeing that Robin was already busy with the pup, she padded over to Ali. She smiled at Robbie first, then looked to his mother.

"I wouldn't mind looking after Koda from time to time," she mentioned, "It might do him some good to have some other pack members pupsit him too." It was just a suggestion, since he seemed like a handful. He would need different lessons and reprimands from other wolves so he understood what he could to contribute to the pack, and what things were unacceptable amongst his adult peers. But it was always up to the parents to decide who the pups were raised by, and it was mostly their duty anyways. It was nothing bad to let the pack help out too, though. "However, I've something to attend to briefly," she mentioned, "Though I think Robin is already going to talk to Koda right now." She nodded to Ali, giving her a moment for a repkly. Soon she would be on her way again.

Jewel*

Jewel looked at her father when he told her to calm down. The anger still flashed in her eyes but she lay her ruff flat. Her coat still dripping wet with water she trotted over to Robbie, only looking back when her father's stern voice called Koda to the den. She narrowed her eyes and glared at Koda before looking back to Robbie. "You okay Robbie?" she asked softly and looked up to Mama to see if there was reason for concern. Koda would get his punishment, why did he always have to take things too far? He would be so much fun if he knew when to say when. Jewel sighed.

It was a relief when his mother came and helped him to the bank where he could properly cough up the water. Once that was done he shot a murderous glare at his brother but did not say anything, Jewel already being shushed by their father. Looking at his mother he nodded slightly, but his body trembled from his ordeal. Stepping closer to her he pressed his small shaking body into her bulk for comfort. Stupid Koda, he could never be still for a second. Sure Robbie was mad not but he would get over it just as quickly.

Head instantly snapped up at the sound of loud, splashing water and a Tarzan-like cry. All Robin saw, though, was a giant splash and a tumble of fur. Recognizing one of the wet balls of fluff as Koda, he rolled his eyes and landed on Ali. She knew the look. Shaking a few droplets from his sunset pelt, he approached the children.

"Calm down, Jewel,"
he said, seeing her eyes flash like her mother's. Auds turned towards Koda, listening to those. . . words. He sounded proud that he had nearly drowned his brother, and a trace of worry seared across Robin's brow. It quickly furrowed into a hard glare. He was not proud. Robin was rarely angry, and he had come over time to forgive Koda every now and then, but this. . . this was a little much. "Koda," he said sternly, voice full of seriousness. "I want to meet you in the den."

Crimson orbs remained on the little pup until he would go. He needed to be firm, he knew, for this would be a lesson in respect. Robin was aware that Koda's entrance was purely an accident - but it was the way he had pinned Junior beneath the water that concerned him.

*Jewel*

Jewel scrambled out of the water after her mother and shook her ivory pelt, casting water in all directions. Most of the time Jewel enjoyed Koda's antics but she was trying to learn to fish this time....REALLY TRYING! Then seeing Robbie's half drowned contition she got really irritated. Koda always pushed it too far! Growling she rounded and oriented on her brother before her parents could. "KODA! YOU SCARED ALL THE FISH!" she screamed at her brother in frustration. "AND YOU ALMOST DROWNED ROBBIE!" Her soprano voice would probably be heard 5 miles away. Her tiny ruff was all out on end and she looked at him with narrowed two toned eyes. She was ticked. Koda was always messing stuff up......and ususally Jewel in her fireball manner enjoyed it but here was Daddy trying to teach something important. Something she was trying soooooooo hard to behave so she could learn and Koda ruined it with a big SPLASH. She growled and shook her pelt once more, deliberatly trying to soak Koda, before stalking away from her delinquent brother.

Watching with pride as Robin instructed their brood on correct entry and patience, Ali glanced around, wondering where her other son had gone off to. He did not seem to be around much lately, normally off causing problems with the rest of the pack. She sighed. At least he was a spirited little thing, if a tad overly so at times. Okay, all the time.

Seeing Robin look back at her, she smiled, then stepped to the edge of the water. With a grace that belied her more bulky form, she stepped in, the smallest disturbance caused by her entry. It would have appeared merely a ripple to the fish dallying out in the depths, perhaps caused by a sudden breeze. Slowly she cut through the water to stand at her mate's side, watching Jewel and Robbie. While her son was normally patient, Jewel too was being uncharacteristically silent, and Ali's eyes glowed with approval. Both would be lethal hunters someday, if this were anything to show for it!

Her auds twitched as Robin spoke again softly, and she stayed silent, letting him give this lesson. She did not feel the need to add to his pointers, and knew that this was more of a father-pup teaching session. Instead she glanced about in the water, locating the nearest group of flashing fins, the slight motion and reflection betraying their presence. They would come back, slowly, if everything went according to plan.

How rarely that happened, however! No sooner had she thought this than she started, a yell behind her startling her. Koda. Her hell-raiser of a son was once again at it! Turning her head, she was just in time to see him hit Robbie full on, knocking them both into the water with a large splash that eliminated all chances of the fish approaching anytime soon. With a heavy sigh she looked at Robin, annoyance and affection showing clearly on her face. She couldn't really be angry, but somehow Koda would have to learn some restraint! Perhaps in time he would mature.....

Noting Robbie's condition, Alaina took a step forward, picking her son up by the scruff and quickly carrying him over to the bank. Eyes worried, she watched him cough. "Are you alright?" She would deal with Koda in a moment, if Robin did not get to it first.

Koda hit his target and he felt paws and legs pushing at him while he went under the water. A paw hit his eye and he yelped under the water. He felt Robbie his side and head for the top and Koda soon followed. He sprang out from the water and felt himself twitching his eye in annoyance. "You got me!" he bellowed at his brother and he swiped at his own eye trying to find some way to make the pain stop. It would though, he had scuffled with his brother before and his sister, and had gotten poked in the eye but this time it was a kick, it was hard, and it was really well aimed for not ment to happen.

The white pup looked at his sister with his maw wide open and a smile spread across it. "Wasn't that PERFECT! Did you see him scramble for the surface. I couldn't have planned it anymore perfectly. Wasn't it perfect dad!?!" He didn't honestly know how his dad would react, but he then looked at his brother who was trying to gasp for air.
