He lifted his head at the howl, and looked back at his brother, who seemed to have finished. Nodding his head, he said, "Stay here. If anyone comes by, keep them here. I'll attend to the newcomer. The pack needs to organize and we're too scattered. We'll suggest a hunt, minus any pups and mothers later." Sharp eyes hovered over Vaarak a moment longer. The last thing he needed was his brother wandering off right now and inadvertently causing trouble. "As her healer abilities are more developed, defer to Fran if need be." He turned and left, tail gracefully flowing in his wake, heading north to the border, shaking his pelt to smooth out any tangles.

It was a few minutes later at which Balthier stopped facing the fae. He peered at her features, strictly from a healer's stand point. Blindness wasn't uncommon, although his own light grey eyes caught the signs of an inflicted blindness. There were always markings that untrained eyes may not catch, even if there were no scars around the orbit. The other... he guessed it to have happened around the same time as the other eye.

While he'd been looking, he said at the same time, "Welcome to Midnight Meadows. I'm Balthier, a healer amongst other things. What brings you to these lands?"

The wench, it was the only appropriate title for such a fae, slinked through the terra's of others. Her ivory form could not hide in the fall colours, and her silence was met with an occasional crunch from the leaves and twigs beneath her. This was a trying time to hunt prey, thankfully her goals were outside of her stomach. Despite these somewhat irritating circumstances, Sight found herself moving fluidly through the land. She had come to the lands of Fire and Ice for nothing more than her brother, that dear old bru who murdered her family. Well, most of her family. Vengeful Beauty still remained, and that fae would not leave Tartarus if it meant her life. Sight saw otherwise, and opportunity to reunite with the only wolf who understood her madness. His extent was much greater, but chaos was what still ruled both their hearts. Mischief and chaos. Unfortunately for him, he did not possess the right...attributes for being playful. Sight was a notorious minx, any fae worth her dime should use her frame against others. Especially such dull witted hessians that seemed to flood the world, who could be trained so simply to sit and beg. A bloody smirk crossed her kisser, a recent kill still on her canines.

So far the plan had been fruitless, there had been wolf scents abound in every corner she went. But none had matched that familiarity, that essence of defiance to the norm. It would be long before she came across family, that much was certain with their litter. No matter, surely there was fun to be had elsewhere. There had been a sound of thundering crushes upon her entry to the lands of FnI, and an air of disorder plagued what she assumed to be a pack. It was a wonder why she hadn't sought them out, nor lingered for a while to watch the mess. It had been a pressing matter to return to the presence of her brother, but now it seemed there was much more entertainment to be had on her own. The coastal air filled her lungs, and for a moment Sight stood beside along side a mountain and enjoyed that crisp air. The mountain crossing had been harrowing, and there was an air of menace about the land. More scent markers told her what she needed to know, another packland that she had crossed, one that intrigued her deeply. Alas, she left those rocky mountain sides, and found herself amongst the plains.

So far, the white wench had skirted the lands of a pack, here she faced them. It was a first, and now there was some fun to be had. Sight nestled herself down among the plains, nares flaring at the scent marker that told her everything. Well, it couldn't hurt to peer into the lives of others. The white coat shook slightly, as if she rid herself of morning dew that was not there. A slow, deliberate, and melodic call rang from her maw. A siren song to any who wished to know that there was a wolf on their border. It died just as slow as it had started, and Sight lowered her crania and opened her eyes. What a sight to beheld. An ivory fae, with two toned eyes. One white with the blindness that affected it, the other red with blood that had filled the cavities. It was in no thanks to her father that these visible scars pronounced themselves so vividly. This attack had led her to help Zaiaku slaughter the King of Tartarus, simply by turning that blind eye to the kill.

He got back to the dens and looked around. It was near here that Fran had encountered those wolves. Balthier followed the scent until he arrived, where the body hadn't been dispose of in their haste to aid Zelda. Grabbing the scruff, he dragged it further away to dispose of. Somewhere less traveled and wouldn't attract attention of scavengers. Done with this, he returned to his den after detouring to take a quick swim to clean off, grabbed more herbs, returned out, and set them down before promptly getting knocked over in a jumble of legs...

Vaarak jogged away, listening to Fran, although he did want to play with the pups... His eyes lit up, remembering that his brother had finished beating up the bad wolf. He ran back towards the dens, telling himself he would stop really quick to greet him and then continue ahead to hunt.

Upon reaching the dens, he saw his brother putting some herbs down, and he figured it was to treat another wolf. He quickly charged forward, leaping the last few feet and tackling his brother to the ground.

Balthier ignored his younger brother's happy chatter and gently started to shove the wolf off him. "Get off, Vaarak. I need you to treat this..." He noticed the other immediately jump off, as if electrocuted, and an amused expression surfaced, wondering if he could get away with this even if he weren't. Vaarak quickly got to work on the leg, and Balthier couldn't help but say, "Don't let it scar. I'm quite fond of having avoided them so far. Pity to let it happen now." He had put off that shower for the longest time without vocal complaint, only only Vaarak could hear him right now...

Link had since woken up and he sat leaning against Cinder. Balthier had treated him and he made it a point to thank the bru. The pack was still in disarray but the drama was over. Ganon had been driven out but his sister was no where to be seen. He worried for her and his heart ached for the pain and sorrow that she had to suffer. A whine escaped his throat and he nosed Cinder, lingering a moment and pressing his face against her warm bulk. Looking at her eyes he made a few noises with his throat before he spoke in a high reedy tone that was almost a whisper. "Zelda?" He wanted to find his sister, needed to find her and make it better. He had rescued her before but he was unsure if he was equipped to rescue her this time. There were so many pieces of himself missing and there was always Cinder..she was his whole world and he knew that he would die for her..He needed to find Navi...and he vowed to himself that he would.

Puppish orbs looked up at Cece. Everything was happening so fast. Being to young to understand she didn't say much at all, just watched. Her black and white coat swirled in the wind that caught so low to the ground. She gave a slight shake and sneezed shaking her head furiously, she hated to sneeze. Words were being spoken and when she looked up her head was being licked by the white wolf who had scared away the darkness, that same darkness that took her sister Bloom. Her orbs dashed over to her brother and then back at the white wolf. He was leaving!?! He had saved them and now he was leaving. Why!?! She backed up towards Cece in panic. Kind voices broke the tension that was welling up in her chest and she looked at Fran who's concerned voice made her nervous. "Mom..." she said softly looking up at her mother. "Is he coming back for us?" she asked softly looking at the other wolves then back to her mother.

Balthier had patched up Link after a brief nod to Fran for bringing the herbs, seeing as the warrior was still out of it and Cinder was silent. There weren't any major injuries, but mostly scratches that would heal. The herbs were just for insurance they wouldn't be infected. He looked at Cinder, but determined she had no injuries like her mate. Quickly, he reached around and patched his own leg up, satisfied there would be no scars. It wouldn't do for him to be marred by battle, after all...

He sighed, saying, "Seek me out if you need anything, and I will do what I can. Link needs rest and you should be with him. Zelda's in some shock, too. I'll take my leave, but don't linger here too long. It's too open."

Turning away, he made his way back to the dens, saying, "Fran, find my brother." There were unfamiliar wolves Fran had been tending to. His steps were slower, not willing to favor his leg.

Vaarak looked to Arkham and was about to respond until he was interrupted once more. Waiting until the new pup, who's scent he recognized, he said, "Follow me back to the dens and then talk and play, guys. Then I'll hunt something for you." He hadn't realized the pups were already old enough to wander around, and wondered if any of the others had... Then he remembered. Fran had told him a wolf had entered the lands and killed most of Terra's own. He tried not to think anymore of it.

Fran spoke up behind Vaarak, "Go and hunt for the young ones. I'll guide their path." She had done what Balthier asked and had dropped the herbs off at his den before quickly making her way to where Vaarak's scent took her. She watched the wolf nod and walk away before sitting down. "We're too close to the border here, not quite safe for anyone to be near at the moment. Let's go further into the lands, ok? My name's Fran." She looked at Arkham and Niger before looking up at Cece and her pups and Rodion, dipping her head in greeting towards the latter.

*OOC: I'll hold off on Marrok for now*
Niger still sat on her rump next to Zelda’s tranquil body. The pup’s only movement was from her pivoting crown which looked about for nothing in particular, and the occasional brush of her midnight black tail. Vivid green eyes blinked in a daydream. She was surprisingly comfortable with being by herself, not as needy as other pups her age, satisfied with her own thoughts and imagination. Her mind constantly drifted now with nothing to impede it. Niger dwelled on meeting Rodion again and making him proud; the brute they called Balthier who was running all over the place; her mother; the bugs in the ground; the groups of deer running in the forest; the big trees of the forest; the bugs in the trees of the forest…She was quickly startled out of her thoughts when she noticed the air behind her was changing. The pup turned her neck to look behind her without moving off of her haunches, where she saw Zelda awakening, bringing in deep, heavy breaths. She tilted her head to the side, one of her auds flopping loosely with the direction of gravity. “Hi!...” But before she could do anything else, Zelda had snapped conscious with revelation, getting up and running into the forest. No longer able to see Zelda, Niger sighed at the brief directions the femme had given her. I can take care of myself, she thought.

Lifting off her haunches and moving about, she began to worry what Rodion would do, since she couldn’t watch over Zelda anymore now that she had sprinted off. Her thoughts were suddenly blanked out, as she stopped dead in her tracks, having found something she was not really looking for. There was a white pelted male who looked around the same age as her, a larger bru standing over him. Maybe a friend? Her orbs brightened a little as she trotted in their direction. She had never noticed the other pup before, but it was probably better meeting him than hanging around the adults. She moved up next to him, practically ignoring the presence of Vaarak, her black whip slowly moving side to side. He looked shy and nervous closer up.“Hi there!” she greeted nicely.

Zelda's eyes fluttered open and she was eerily calm. She felt no surprise, no remorse, no joy from the fact that Ganon had clearly left the lands. Doubtful that he was killed further on. The atmosphere didn't read like a death. At least...not one of theirs. Rodion was no longer with her and she was aware, in a dreamlike way, that there was a small pup beside her. Eyes trailed and she saw the body of her brother. Battered but stirring and appearing sound. And no one was looking at her. I must take my moment now Her mind quivered but the calm did not break. It was like a tide, being held back only behind a feign of ignorance. Clenching her eyes shut and she breathed deeply feeling her lungs fill and scrape her raw insides. Everything felt raw and fragile. She was tired of falling apart. She did not think she would ever be the same. There was always something waiting to pull and this was the final straw. She was not strong now. Perhaps at one time in the glory of her youth after Link had saved her. But not now. She had seen too much. Endured too much. One last inhale and her eyes snapped open, the blue muted by generally glazed look in her eye. Surprisingly quick she got to her feet. Her legs trembled for a moment as if they could not bear the weight but they steadied after a moment. She sniffed the pup and looked not unkindly. "Go and find a companion child, you should not be alone." And before there could be a response she turned and bounded off into the forest not knowing where she found the strength too...

Her pads took her swiftly through the woods and across some of the smaller meadows that skirted the terra. The grass concealed her well as she snaked around obstacles like logs. Moving across Greek's Plains she made her way to the base of the hills that formed at the start of the crevasse. There she snuffled around broken slate kicking loose rocks carelessly until she found the path she was looking for and jumped higher making her way to higher ground. Here she sat finding a small isolated shear of land and huddled among the dusky pines and the moss covered stumps.

The breeze seemed to be a bit calmer when the strange wolf was gone walking with another wolf. The smell of pollen went into his nose, making him sneeze quietly. He twitched his small black nose and he sniffed the air of the tall grass. The 4 month old looked around his new home while staying where he was. There seemed to be good water, good food, and seemed to be alot of other pups to play with, including Pacis and Calx. He could sense other pups, but it would take him some time to say hi to them. When the bru had come back, he sat and lowered his head, being a little more scared of the large wolf. He was saying his goodbyes to CeCe and her two adopted pups. Cece seemed to be nice but he didn't know her too much to say hi. Maybe they could talk while the pups and him played. The bru ran off, heading in the direction of a unknown pack.
Vaarak had started asking the other unknown wolf where had he been and everything else about that stuff. He looked up at the taller wolf but looked over to CeCe, Calx, and Pacis. He sighed slightly and he could feel the rays of the sun beating on his white pelt. Also, he could feel the rays of his parents from heaven, looking down upon him. I hope to see you one day, he thought before turning his attention to the bru asking if he was wanting any food and water. "Yes...please." He had not eaten in many days and was hungry for some tasty meat and thristy fo some cool water.
,Wishing on a Shooting Star, :MB: - Page 4 Cecebanner
Her longs legs stayed right beside her new adopted pups of Riptide's. While she was grateful that she had them, she was sad that she wouldn't save the one that was killed by unknown female, Bloom. Poor Bloom, she had to listen to the battle outside and was killed before even being able to grow a bit. She wasn't sure if the pups was able to eat food, but they could talk thankfully. But if that female who killed one of them came back, she would be in a hecka lot of trouble. A lot of trouble...
Just as she was done nuzzling the pups, Killian had come to say good bye. She was quite upset that he had to go so soon, but she wasn't going to force him to stay; it was the right thing to do. Killian told her that he was dangerous like he had before but that she had made him calm, and that he had grow fond of her. He had asked her to never forget me and that he would be back one day. She nodded and watched him lick the pups head. He nodded to the Vaarak and the other. Then before she could say good bye, he was gone. She sighed to herself as she watched him vanish in the distance. Then her mind went to the pups, which needed to eat before her. But was they on milk or meat?

Vaarak was about to respond after Cece introduced herself, but waited as the brat came back, Rodion in tow. Rodion? He was back? It'd been some time. His tail swayed gently, not wanting to look even more like a pup in front of Killian. Balthier may not have cared for labels, but Vaarak was still insecure about impressions. When the other wolf left, he said, much more cheerfully, "I'm Vaarak. Glad to see the three of you staying," while he left out the implicit 'and glad to see your friend leave' out. Surprisingly, only a wolf skilled at reading tone or was listening close enough would recognize the implication of his words.

"Where have you been, Rodion? Lots of stuff happened while you were gone. Did you happen to see my brother on the way here?" He quickly turned his attention to the recently appeared wolf. Quickly, he realized his temporary charge, who was tying to interact with Cece's pups. "I was going to ask you if you needed food or water before our... rude interruption." He doubted Arkham would have been able to catch a decent meal at his age.

Nameless Warrior. Interesting. He was not a warrior by any means, so it was odd that someone would say such a thing. "Killian Jager" he said finally, and looked back at Rodion as they came closer to Cece and the pups. She had just introduced herself to the young haughty brute and he smiled as he came closer to her. "Well. Here's someone you should talk to. Be safe" his nose touched her cheek and he inhaled. His voice was soft and only she could hear it as he spoke into her ear. "I'm dangerous Cece. But I've grown very fond of being around you. You relax me... I promise to come back, when I'm done... for you. I promise this. Please don't forget me..." He sighed and pulled away looking down at the two pups she had brought in front of her. "Goodbye young dear ones" he bent down licking both their heads. His head came up and the white brute nodded to both Vaarak and Rodion before he turned without another word and headed from the lands of Midnight Meadows. His long pillars took him farther and farther from the lands. He had somewhere else to go first. When he reached the boarder he stopped looking behind him. His head shot up and he howled. He was close to Muerta, maybe his song would reach there? "Don't fret wolves... you have the white demon nameless guardian on your side" He finished his song and continued on through the lands heading towards the one place he had only visited once...

The female wolf sighed as Killian told the younger male about what was needed. She had kept her mouth shut, but she wasn't worried about herself, mostly for the young, helpless pups that was of Riptide's, before the foam mouth disease reached her and had died. Then Alpine had it but she had jumped off a cliff. Her two best friends had died that day that she was hoping to have a pack after a long while. She had actually longed to live still in the Lone Lands, but since it was too dry and hot for the pups, she had to come to the Midnight Meadows.

She licked her lips as most of the conversation was over. Killian had asked Cece to introduce herself, as she had planned to do after there tense conversation. As the bru left she made sure that the pups was going to stay put and she slowly stepped up a little, not to make the young pup more scared. She spoke in a chippy, soft voice. " Hello there. I'm Cecelia, but please just call me CeCe. I hate that name. And these two pups are Calx and Pacis, Riptide's pups." She sighed at that name and looked up at the sky for a second. She looeked back down and brought both pups in front of herself.

Arkham whimpered as the older bru spoke and looked at him. But then Vaarak stepped his paw in front of the 4 month old. It was unexpected since most wolves would be more worried about the intruders first. The young pup could see that maybe, just maybe, him and Vaarak would become good friends. It might happen but maybe not. If they did become good friends, then he could have someone to talk to finally. He looked at the two pups, Calx and Pacis. He perked his ears and smiled gentlyat them both. He licked his lips, hoping he could get some food soon.

Fran's ears flicked as a wolf approached, but didn't turn until Terra finished. Then she turned to face Storm and said, "Thank you. It's a relief no one was too injured, hearing that. I'm Fran. Seeing as no one here requires treatment, may I ask you to stay here with Terra and possibly help start digging a suitable site? Otherwise, just keep them company. We'll get around to properly greet you all into the pack once we treat the injured and can gather as many of the pack as we can." She hadn't forgotten about Link and Cinder's pup, and wasn't sure if they'd still want a search party, even after this time had passed. Even the best of trackers would find it difficult by now, so even if Vaarak was still confident in his brother's skills, she doubted he'd find anything. Fran did expect, that to some degree, he understood that, but still had his puppy-ish unwavering belief. It was a rare trait to find in an adult, and she wondered if that would stick through his maturity.

Exiting the den, she nodded her head towards a quieter section of the lands and said, "If you walk some minutes in that direction, you'll come across an area not commonly traversed, so it'll be a good place for burial. I leave, for now. Call for us if anything happens." She turned and headed for her den. She had material for closing cuts, which was what Balthier was looking for. She was able to such material to close larger gashes, though, and he knew this, so she wasn't able to guess the nature of the wounds. She was conservative with material, so thus knew the right proportions and how to get the right mix in order to save the harder to find material for more grave injuries. Balthier had more experience and had seen more types of injuries, though, which was why she wasn't the lead healer... until possibly now.

She wasn't quite sure what the others had in mind, but Balthier had stepped up when Rodion wasn't here and had apparently driven off the other wolf, since he was requesting herbs. Nothing had been official, but in her mind, Balthier had the edge when the discussion occurs, as he proved to be the strong wolf between him and whoever the intruder was who had attacked Zelda. Although Rodion had come back, the alpha position had been abandoned. That's not as bad if he'd been a normal pack member, but leaving as an alpha placed doubts in the pack, for whatever the reason. She knew not how such politics worked here, though. In most situations she knew of with her pack and others, the alpha never came back, was killed, or defeated in a duel.

She gathered the herbs and headed towards the border of the lands where she'd been headed in before being sent away. Upon arrival, she saw Link on the ground, Cinder concerned, and Balthier, currently a sentry while shooting glances towards Link. Her gaze fixed on Balthier's hind leg, slowly dripping blood, and the scratches on his maw. The leg cut wasn't a deep wound, but it looked like it would have hurt quite a bit, since there were more bones and tendons than there was flesh. All his injuries would probably heal nicely- it'd been clear when she first met him that Balthier was, to some extent, vain.

“Well, Ember’s right back here, and that fem, Storm right?, went to help.” Terra responded.

“I’m not sure who’s injured, sir.” Storm responded, then tilted her head to catch Balthiers next comment. “Yes sir, I’ll go do that.” She turned and trotted to the dens, following the healer’s scent. She saw Terra and Fran conversing, and paused, not wanting to interrupt. She cleared her throat so as to not spook either of them, then opened her maw to speak. “Balthier requests the ‘basic herbs’, as he called them.” She let her eyes draw over the scene, noticing the blood and pup carcasses.

"So she did do this," Fran said. She got all the confirmation she needed from Terra's tone and response. "Is anyone hurt, though? And do you know where our other guests are? We'll have to hold a proper burial for you, too..." Terra and the pups were the only who responded so far. The others couldn't have been killed, else there'd be more bloodshed.

Balthier wanted to hit his head against something, but refrained from doing so. They were apparently still in too much shock. He'd probably be able to gather some of his herbs and come back before they realized everything was over... The new fem, at least, seemed to be able to function, but was waiting around as a typical rankless wolf would. He said to her, "I send my healers back to the dens before the fight. Their scents should be fresh, so find them and tell them we require the basic herbs. They'll know what to bring."

It'd give her something to do, and he'd be around to monitor the situation here. Fran or Vaarak would remain at the dens, and Rodion was with Zelda. That covered wolves who could respond to a situation within all the groups of wolves as far as he knew. Link looked half conscious, and Balthier didn't quite want to move him yet without further examination. Rodion had come back, but... he'd not been in the lands for quite a while. Balthier would go as far as to assume it was around the time Jabbar went into war. He'd been back just in time to prevent Zelda from being taken... from a thief of all beings.

The past really did hunt a wolf. Perhaps he hadn't be able to run away from his fate after all. There was one thing he could promise himself, though. He'd never end up like his old man, corrupted and turned for the worse, obsessed, even, by what he'd found. Of course the wolf had been a beta as well as advisor. Only the best positions possible to be influential without being an alpha. Pathetic. Leaving the work to others while he carried on with continuing his flow of ideas and implementing them. He turned his gaze back to Cinder and Link, especially the latter, and tried to assess his injuries by appearance, not yet wanting to get too close to give Cinder some time to reassure herself.

The pup smiled at the bru’s words; yet the mood changed quickly. The foreign howls of other wolves invaded the area, as Rodion covered her body before she could even react. Her small form crouched closer to the ground under him and her black auds flattened to the sides. She was still unsure of what was going on, remaining unafraid and keeping quiet as Rodion scented the air. After a few tense moments, the bru kindly asked her to watch Zelda’s unconscious body while he dealt with other wolves. She simply nodded, falling back on her haunches next to the femme and looking parallel to her. She wanted to keep talking to him, glancing towards him as he walked off. As he left her line of vision, she sighed and grumbled, beginning to daydream and zone out. She wanted to follow Rodion’s wishes, but it was already getting…boring.

Marrok watched as the brownish male approached, his neutral face never leaving him. As the brute settled in front of him, Marrok could not even jar his maw open before he began speaking. He listened intently, his jaw clenched and his brow slightly lowered. The one-sided conversation moved quickly, and seemed to cover all grounds. The wolf seemed distressed, anxious to move onto other wolves, like he was trying to give medical attention during a disaster. He didn’t question Rodion; he was merely content with being allowed here, though he was a bit curious as to what else required his attention. As Rodion mentioned another stranger and finally finished his jumbled statement, Marrok parted his black lips. In a low voice, he began to speak. “If there’s anything I can…” But by that time, Rodion was trekking away quickly, not necessarily out of ear shot, though not paying attention to anything outside of his spinning thoughts. “…help with…” Marrok mumbled in final.

He started looking towards where the bru was moving to. As he halted, Marrok could see the white male he was speaking with now. He recognized the wolf’s complexion all too well, the shadows hanging around him like a dark canvas meant to put him on display. He reminded him of Akira…Muerta; he had to be from Muerta. An angered glint appeared in his eye, as a wave of memories from his childhood moved with endorphins. This was not the first time he had not seen a wolf from the Muerta pack: his own pack had resided in a close range to Muerta’s mountains. He had never known individuals; he was too young to really consider. He just recollected that they weren’t very good neighbors. He doubted anybody from Muerta remembered his small pack; they were just another bug to be squashed. But he remembered their pack, and he wouldn’t soon forget. He glared at the white male as he padded through the new lands, looking about without much direction.

The young bru was quick, Rodion would give him that. He relaxed, but remained on his guard with him nonetheless. Had things in Midnight already not been so tense upon his return, the chances for a friendlier greeting would have been much higher. He gave a short, gruf chuckle at Killian's first response. "That I am. Jabbar always has our blessing. You'll forgive my wariness of you, I hope. You can see as well as I that not all is well here, and though you carry Damean's blood in your veins I could not help but take Akira's into account as well in you." He sat with him, posing less of a threat than moments before.

"That said, a promise on Damean's blood is a strong one. One I won't soon forget." Though he could have easily begun lighthearted banter, he kept his tones serious, not about to make quaint banter with anyone. His head cocked slightly as he listened to Killian's speech, and realized that the wolves of his pack were not the only ones in trouble. He furrowed his brow at the news of a femme running around and killing pups. When things settled, he would be sure to spread the word to the others. Rodion refused to risk the lives of children under any circumstances, and it seemed that now there were even more coming into these lands. He only hoped that he and the others could offer them and their families protection in times like these.

He stood in tandem with Killian as he finished his statement of purpose, and couldn't help but let a sigh pass his lips. "Well, regardless of our situation now, I am glad you've come to entrust your friends to our care. And you're right. I'm not the alpha here," he said with a tint of regret to his voice. And if he wasn't, then who was? "But you have my word that they will be safe in Midnight Meadows. And I will see to it that you are given safe passage through these lands. Though, if you change your mind and you are who you say you are," he smirked, "Then you are welcome to make your home here as well."

The russet hessian looked around him at what the terra had become. It was disconcerting, and he could only hope that it would end and that wolves here old and new would soon find peace. This visitor thought him of sound mind. He made no comment. So far, he was correct, but time would tell whether the duress of Midnight's constant furor weakened him to a not so stable state. The others were just as sound as he, but perhaps to an outsider all of the stress made them seem otherwise. He took a step forward and looked to Killian, trying to hide the sadness that had gathered behind his eyes after letting these thoughts pass through him. It was then, bringing his focus back in, that he realized they had not truly been introduced to one another. "Lead on, nameless guardian," he masked his melancholy with sarcasm and allowed the bru to guide him to where his friends lay. Rodion had given him an inch of trust. He prayed that he wasn't stupid, that this wasn't a ruse and that Killian wouldn't turn that inch into a mile.

Killian would have given them all the benefit of the doubt but introductions placed him on the negative. He plopped himself down instantly without saying a word and sat there looking at the brute. "Well, guess someone's parents damned them to an eternity of life, that's funny considering you're the brute who made the treaty with my father and aided the wolves of Jabbar are you not Rodion?" Killian gave him a smile, his tone was nothing but nice as he addressed the well known ex alpha of Fire and Ice.

"Purpose. I have none. I am an outcast of my mother's family, you have no worry from me I promise you this on my father's blood, and he held a higher place anywhere in these lands then my mother, as far as I am concerned there is nothing of relation to that white wench except my blood." He looked around eying the wolves that lurked in this main area. "But back on topic, purpose for being here, on your lands, is to ask for passing, not for myself that is, for a female and her two... adopted... children." He paused turning his eyes back to Rodion. "They are in need of assistance, and I refuse to let them live in anywhere but a nice pack, here, exactly. She's had a hard time. Now. I know you're not currently... alpha, and I respect your word none the less on top of her situation. I don't know what's happened here in Midnight, it's none of my business, but I do ask you personally to keep an eye out for my friend. Her name is Cece, and, she's over there" His head turned and he nodded into the woods. "With a young wolf who's spotted another pup in your lands" His eyes trailed to the pup that Rodion had been speaking with moments ago.

"I cannot stay here though... that's the problem. I've got a friend to meet up with, and I don't think I can say goodbye to her. I've grown very fond of her emotionally, and I'm afraid to hurt her and I don't think I can stay here... but..." He trailed off looking at Rodion now and standing. He dipped his head in a respectful way and turned. "They are over in those trees, she's not hard to miss, she reeks of blood, and so does her pups. By the way... beware of your pups, that's a dark female that has been lurking through packs and killing pups." He shook his head and stood there a moment taking a deep breath... he was glad she would have a home, and the pups. She needed somewhere stable... his heart jerked a moment and he shuddered. He wasn't allowed to feel like this. "I'll lead you in the direction before I depart, and Rodion... it's nice to see someone of a stable mind back in this pack, there is nothing but mayhem here recently so the winds say."...

Rodion wagged his tail back at the little fae. "Niger. That is a good name." He followed her motion to eye her mother, Terra, and made note of her, another he had yet to meet. She seemed excited to meet him, though her interests, like a pup's, were rather unfocused. He responded to her question. "My name is Rodion. I-" He had intended to give her a simple explanation of himself, but concerning new scents and howls caught his attention. He immediately placed his large body over hers protectively, instinct making him move.

He sniffed at the air, rotated his auds to catch anything he could. He could see a newcomer, seeming tired and just needing someone to talk to. The other, however, seemed like he was up to something. A young white bru with an air of darkness about him. Rodion sighed, realizing that with everyone else busy or out of sight, he would have to step up on this one. He would have to be careful, unsure of where his ranking stood since his return. He looked down to Niger. "Young one, can I ask you to do a grown up task for me? I need you to stay by Zelda, right here, okay? I need you to keep an eye on her for me until she wakes up. I have to go talk to some new wolves." He gave her a small nuzzle and headed toward the two males.

He came first to Marrok, a slight wag in his tail. Taking the bru in, he could see that he was hanging on to his last thread and needed a rest. "Hello there, weary stranger. My name is Rodion. I can see you mean no trouble, and there are many things to attend to here. I know it seems rather chaotic around here, but don't hesitate to take a rest and make yourself at home somewhere. I or someone else around here will welcome you in more properly once things have settled. I'm sorry I've offered you no chance for an introduction, but there is another stranger I must see to." He dipped his crown and padded away quickly, mind trapped in a whirlwind of responsibility. He felt like he had to make up for having not been around, but he also felt guilty for just having given that bru an earful and walking away.

The hessian approached Killian with some caution, subtly inhaling his scent. He was familiar, but he didn't smell of any of the other territories. Observing his features carefully, the lightbulb went off in his head and he held back the slight rumble ready in his throat. The young brute's dark heart suddenly made sense. He got close enough to speak, body language neutral this time. "You are a child of Damean and Akira, are you not? What is your purpose here, bru?"

Oxygen. Never had Marrok thought that the clean, pure, but ultimately common taste of oxygen would give him so much hope. Yet as his nairs tingled extatically, he realized civilization was in touch, and that the suffocation of trees, with their smell of wood and chlorophyll, would dispearse soon enough. The icy colored fire in Marrok's orbs had been dimming since he resumed trekking alone what felt like some months ago. His vision was fuzzy and unfocused, for he didn't pay too much attention to what lay ahead of him, but he kept thinking about what was behind him in his head, over and over. Dead and dying memories were all that populated the carnage that was his mind and sanity. His consciousness was numbed. The charcoal black pads of his paws were bubbled and raw in their centers, while the outer rims remained highly sensitive to the touch, as though each of his feet had morphed into one giant blister. These harshities were actually to him from being an avid and quite skillful hunter. He could only wish, however, that these side-effects came from a hunt.

He had not seen the femme Isis in months. She had simply...vanished, just before they could accomplish their joint goal of reaching the packlands in the meadows. He had disposed of his brother Jericho. Marrok had not killed him, but Jericho's threats towards him and Isis, and his eventual plan to harm Isis, left Marrok with little choice but to make sure Jericho would not come back to him again. From the point where he and Isis had last set camp in the Lone Lands, a hill that roosted an ancient tree at its summit, Marrok had traveled on towards the believed direction of Midnight Meadows. But he had no sense of direction; he really had no purpose to go anymore. It was just him again, isolated. If anything, solitary was more natural to him; the hierarchy of a pack had taught him to think that all packs were just as competitive and confining as the one he had grown up in. Yet after such a brief taste of having company around, he finally came to the decision that he had to find a pack for himself, before he became a cautionary tale of what happens when a wolf is alone for too long. He would become more calculating, his life a close-knit routine of familiar survival. He would feel nothing...

When he began to detect the scents of other wolves, he felt the anxiousness to see who was there, yet he remained silent as ever, moving low and blending with the earth's terrain. He husky colored coat may have not been the greatest camoflauge, but he could still conceal himself, in fear that he was not where he wanted to be. What if I made a wrong turn?...What if I am here without welcoming?...he thought. Forms of wolves began to reveal themselves. Their figures danced across open packlands, their bodies spread out. There remained two males towards the center of it all, with a whelp and a limp wolfess close by. Her chest moved; she was not dead. However, there was still the strong smell of blood and death about. Now did not seem to be an opportune time to burden them with another wolf, unless he could help them.

The one brown marbled male stood confidently and with purpose, even as he seemed to be conversing with a pup. He must be the Alpha. Rodion, he remembered, was the name he had heard from others regarding this pack, in a time that felt so long ago. The other bru looked tired, bloodied from a recent battle, as he directed a younger wolf that soon ran off. Whether the blood was his own or not, Marrok did not know. After watching the wolves move about for a few minutes, Marrok figured it was time to let them know he was here and meant no harm. He let out a sequence of low, loud barks directed at the two males, hoping someone would take notice to his call. Marrok was not one to be melodramatic; he was a born hunter. Yet he almost wanted to collapse, both from fatigue and relief that he had finally made it here. Instead, he kept the same stone-cold look he always had on a hunt, waiting.

Terra tilted her head. “By, that fem, do you mean the one who goes by Bellatrix?” Her lip curled into a snarl at the name, making it into a growl at the end. “I heard her tell you, ‘And if they ask, Bellatrix is my full name love, not Bell.” Her ears tilted towards a young pups howl. She turned her head, from habit, in that direction, thinking of whether she knew that wolf. She heard the weakness in the voice, and her heart went out to the pup.

Killian's fur bristled. The male had the chance to attack and she didn't. "Well seems we've got ourselves a wise crack" he smirked and looked back at Cece and her pup then scooted his forward. "Someone to play with little man" he said talking directly to the other pup. "Now, you." his eyes fell upon the pup he had carried. "You may not know it now, but you're going to be great someday, both of you" he looked up to the pup behind the guarding oh so big male. "But when you do something great, don't forget me" he smirked, nosed the pup then stepped away from Cece and them. "Cece... introduce yourself. I'll be back shortly. I'm sure they don't want your hide for letting the son of Muerta's queen in here without skinning him alive, pretend you never saw me" He smirked and darted off heading towards the trees. He needed to make this fast and he had no other option.

He broke free of the brush to what, death, fainting wolfess, protecting atmosphere, and frankly, chaos. Killian took a deep breath and stepped forward. His white pelt bristled and he stood there looking like his mother. Would they understand, would they know who he was? Probably, he only had a short time. He gave a soft bark to all the surrounding wolves, trying to get their attention. He may not have smelled like Muerta anymore after so much travel, but if they knew his mother, knew his father, they'd know who he was.

Vaarak was about to respond to Arkham, but another voice, much colder made itself known. He felt his hackles rise, but instead of acting, he stepped protectively in front of Arkham, suddenly speaking in a manner his brother might have at a younger age, "If you used your eyes, you could see that I'm an adult trying to make a lone pup feel welcome in these lands, no thanks to you."

Trying to relax, his impulsiveness making it difficult, Vaarak said in the more upbeat tone he possessed, but not like the one he'd used while talking to Arkham, "Despite the bit of blood, neither of you are dying, so tell me what's so urgent, and I'll try to take care of it while helping my current charge. My brother says there aren't too many situations more important than healing, protecting, or helping a stray pup, but we're not so cold here as to refuse to aid those pure of heart." He already didn't like this wolf much and hoped he wouldn't stay. It was one thing when his older brother called him a kid, because that was normal. A wolf younger than himself though, wasn't allowed to call him that and expect to be forgiven so fast, pure pack or not.

"I'm Niger," the pup squeaked to Rodion, her small black tail wagging slowly. "That's my mom," she said quickly as she tried to direct her head to Terra, who she thought was behind her somewhere. She had never met this wolf before. Frankly, she hadn't really met anybody here. His body seemed tired, like he had been working for a long time, but his eyes warmly glistened at her. His lyrics were kind and friendly, but he didn't seem like he much wanted to play right now. Niger moved closer towards him, already losing interest in what happened to Zelda. "Who are you?" she asked innocently, her whip tail beginning to wag faster.

,Wishing on a Shooting Star, :MB: - Page 4 Rodion11

Rodion couldn't believe what he was hearing. But he understood what drove her to such words. They broke his heart, and he prayed hard then and there that she wouldn't take off again. "This isn't just on you. We protect each other. And if you leave, who will protect you from him?" It was all he offered. He didn't want to overwhelm her with anymore words, and he realized with guilt that he had most likely already done too much. She just seemed so scared. And before he knew it, she was down for the count once again. His heart jumped, but he knew that this was almost a habit for her under so much duress. Calmly, he laid his large frame lengthwise beside her, head on his paws. The very tips of his fur barely touched hers, and though he was outwardly calm, his mind raced.

As Ganon's scent retreated, more entered. They all hailed from the Lone Lands, but their alliance was painfully unclear. So many instincts were pressing at him. He felt like he needed to just get up and do the usual "name, alliance, purpose", but he didn't know where he stood with his pack anymore. Would they take him back as alpha? Had he been replaced? If they would have him, then they could at least stall until he could leave Zelda's side. He refused to move with the attacks so fresh on the land. Another scent drew awfully close.

A little pup he had never met approached him. His tassel thumped on the ground and he gave her a warm smile, the kind he imagined a father would give. She looked curiously at his fainted friend and he explained as best he could. "She isn't sleeping, little one. Zelda was very stressed by some wolves who came here, her enemies. She's only fainted, but she'll wake in a little while." It was the most he could bear to give to one so young. He would spare the details. His honey eyes met her green ones, and his posture welcomed her closer if she desired. "What's your name, dear one?"

Niger began to waken more and more as time passed. Her beady yet bright green orbs blinked hard at the conclusion of the fighting that had taken place, her head popping up and around to try and see. Her body finally was squirming out of the general protection of her mother. She wanted to walk right in the middle of where the action had taken place. She didn't really care what might happen, even though Zelda, Balthier, Ganon, or really anyone had the potential to harm her, intentional or not. Before she could really get on her paws, Ganon had begun to leave, and Zelda had passed out from the stress. Niger cocked a brow at Zelda's body. "Why is she sleeping?" she quipped.
