| Reflexes leapt up at just the right moment and he whipped around to face Crimson, her bloody gaze boring into his. "What the hell is wrong with you?" he snarled, ears pinned back in rage, lips peeled. He was about to say more when she came at him again, thrusting her shoulder at him and swinging her opposite paw at him -- he dodged to the side, the very edges of her talons swiping against his front right leg, drawing blood. He never really was good in a fight. He didn't have enough muscle to draw an attack, and relied on his speed to keep him out of danger's way. He darted a few feet away, catching his breath. "You're wasting your time! If you go through us one by one, and none of us have done it, who do you have left to ask?"Julien's blue eyes flashed to the other wolf that had come with the one that was attacking him. He could tell that she was eager to join the fight. "We can help you if you call your friend here off," he said to her, watching Crimson out of the corner of his eye. "I know the blood is on our pack, but if you couldn't tell, we're hardly even unified yet." He would have liked to say more -- and hoped that Dyrim was catching his drift -- but he knew that he had to focus on Crimson. There was a wild, crazed looked in her eye, and she had already got him in the leg. She smelled blood, and knew she was after it, though he had no idea what reason for. Julien's thin body tensed, ready for her next move. | |

Crimson was barely phased as Julien's paws connected with her face, merely snapping her teeth at them. His words filtered through her ears but she paid them no mind, not until his teeth clipped the edge of her muzzle. She snarled and clashed her teeth with his in return, then felt his paws against her belly, shoving her off of him. Her breath came heavily, like some crazed and feral beast, saliva bubbling at the edges of her lips. She stared at Julien with bloodshot eyes as he shouted at her, then licked her lips. "Don't know where she is?" Crimson roared, "What a coward! She's run off and left you fools behind as pawns to save her own hide!" The demoness was enraged, she wasn't thinking clearly, she couldn't. Suddenly her eyes brimmed with tears. "Well if there's not many of you, then I'll just go through you one by one until I'm satisfied," she snarled, "And don't think you'll be sending me off easy... hmph, the lone lands indeed!" She shook her head, spitting upon the ground. He thought he could just send her off on some wild goose chase into the Lone Lands? Not happening.
Muscles coiled and she lunged forward again, this time swerving to the side and coming up toward Julien's side with her shoulder, before swinging the opposite paw toward him, hoping to slice him up a bit.
Winter snorted at the lady before her. She seemed weak and afraid. She shook her head, fixing her icy blue eyes upon Dyrim. "That's what you'd like us to think, isn't it?" she questioned cooly, "But we already know better. Someone from these lands killed my brother, and we're going to find out who. So if you know, just speak up." She wasn't ready to fool around and play games. She was here to find out where the murderer was, and they would find him by force if they needed to. And as Crimson lunged again, it was clear that they weren't bluffing. Winter remained poised and ready, barely able to contain herself from joining in the fight, but she was ready to jump in if Dyrim moved or anyone showed up.

A thin smile came to Julien's lips. "I'm delighted to hear that," he replied, tassel waving. He turned down the path as the two began their walk, but he didn't get far before a very dark, pungent scent slammed against his nares, and then an actual wolf tackled him onto his back. Ivories flashed before his eyes and he snarled, lifting his paws and trying to smack his enemy in the face. Dyrim screamed, and he shouted, "Get off me, you bitch! We haven't killed anyone! There's hardly anybody left in these lands, anyway!" He snapped his fangs, more on the defense than the offense. "If you're looking for someone, they're probably in the Lone Lands. We don't even know where our damn pack leader is!" He lifted his legs and pushed against the she-wolf's stomach, trying to lift her off of him. He knew while fighting it wasn't the best of conversations, but it just may as well save an eye or two. And, he couldn't complain that things weren't boring anymore...

| Dyrim's eyes opened as she saw Julien approach, a brief smile touched her lips. Dyrim always had a smile for anyone. She inclined her head back to the brute and took the compliment in stride. She was also not one to fuss over little things. "Afternoon to you as well Julien." She stated pleasantly. Her vocals were a nice sort of uplifting tone, like a pleasant chiming of bells, it was what she was named for. He proposed a walk and her grin grew bigger. "I would be delighted to accompany you." Then she stood up and stretched out her lithe body giving her pelt a good shake before she was ready. Stepping along side him her aud flicked as a she wolf entered the clearing. Well, she certainly wasn't from around her. Dyrim felt a chill go down her spine, the fem screamed sinister and the vocals grated against her nerves. Opening her mouth to question the fem it died in her throat as she lunged for her companion. "Julien!" she yelled alarmed but unable to react fast enough to help. Moving to aid him she was stopped in her tracks by two wolves that accompanied the first. She had not seen them because she was too focused on Crimson. They looked young and Dyrim shot a panicked look towards Julien. "Kaia is gone!" She half shouted in an attempt to protect her mistress from these vagabonds. They asked who killed their brother...what? What were they talking about? She had never seen these wolves before and there certainly hadn't been any recent deaths here..."What? No one here has killed anyone! Stop please!" She yelled. Dyrim was not what you called a fighter, of course she could fight but it was not in her nature to and she would avoid confrontation at most costs. | |

| Kaia paced along the border, tail flicking impatiently as she stared out into the distance. Her belly was full, and her lands completely silent amongst the turmoil surrounding them, but for some reason, she was dissatisfied. Something seemed, well, off. How was it that around them, so much was happening, but here, nothing? It made the Alphena's pelt tingle. She couldn't help but feel that there was a reason behind the calm. After all, the more sudden the calm, the more violent the storm, wasn't that how it always went?
The fem couldn't sit still, but standing here was doing no good either. She turned, making her way along the border at a swift lope. She would run a quick patrol along it, just in case, before making her way into the lands once more. The more confident they became in their safety, the more vulnerable they made themselves. And she would not let these lands be tainted by the same sorrows as their neighbors.
Suddenly, she stopped. There.... a recent crossing. The scent was almost nonexistent, but the tiniest trace of taint had definitely reached her sensitive nose. She growled with anxiety. What were they doing here, and why had they come unannounced? This did not bode well... and she had to be a while behind them. Damn her! Why hadn't she been more alert? Kaia whirled around and sprang off towards the trees, entering and weaving amongst them like one well versed in her territory. This past while she had become more in tune with the lands, and more the Alphaess than the terrified wolfess that had first been pushed into the job unwillingly. A slow but sure love for this territory was beginning to emerge, and as she made more friends, a larger reason to protect that which she had here. The very thought of intruders, which once would have merely scared her, now made her blood boil. They thought that they could simply enter her lands and stir up trouble? Mistaken. Very, very mistaken.
She followed the scent faithfully, legs carrying her as fast as they were able deep into the heart of the pines. Hopefully she would find them before someone else did. And hopefully it would be soon.
OoC: I feel outta practice with poor Kaia XD ah well, hopefully I will get more into her as I start writing her again =] leaving it open, I'll have her come upon them after you guys play out a little more

The dark, hefty form of Muerta's betess stalked through the woods of Hamara, the last place that her son had been before he died. Her lips curled and a whispery snarl of disgust left her throat as she looked around, blood-coloured orbs glancing back and forth sharply. This place was much too peaceful; they suffered nothing, while she in her heart still clung to the pain of losing her son. Shoulders shifted as she slunk along, tail low and curved, twitching from time to time. Every now and then she glanced behind her to see her daughters still following her, then she looked ahead once more. As she breathed in the air, she picked up the scent of wolves, very few of them, but they were alive and well. But she was about to change that.
Creeping forward, she saw the forms of two wolves, one male and one female, conversing lightly in the afternoon sun. Her mane bristled and spines stood rigid, blood boiling with hatred. How dare they laze about, so happy and so carefree? She looked to Winter and Vengeance, signalling them to move forward with her and follow her lead. She stalked forward and into the open, holding her head high, tail lashing, as she showed herself to the easygoing pair. She stopped several metres from them, her legs stiff and muscles bulging as she looked to the male. "I'm sorry to hear you're so bored," she hissed, stepping forward, claws ripping the ground, "Why don't I spark things up around here?"
She gave not either of them a chance for a response, lunging forward with deadly intention, lips peeled back and fangs bared, looking to snag them in flesh and rip without mercy. She cared not who these wolves were, or if they had any part in her son's death; they were a part of this dreadful place and she would have a taste of their blood. More than anything she wished to find Blood's murderer, but she knew nobody here would give her the information she needed to find him and slit his throat. So she would just go through all of them and find him, that was if he was still here. She barrelled towards Julien first, her powerful jaws seeked out the flesh of his shoulder, a thundering snarl rumbling from deep in her chest as she did so...
Endless Winters strode confidently behind her mother, her younger sister keeping up just behind her. She wished Ludo and Elipsis were here to join in this moment, but they were nowhere to be found lately, and she was sure that was what drove Crimson even more to seek the revenge she had craved for so long. Knowing her brother had been murdered by some idiot from this pathetic group of wolves made her bristle with anger and shame, and she had not hesitated to join Crimson in this raid. Besides, if there was some bloodshed and pride in it for her, she would always be up for a fight. She watched her mother's body language change as they came in sight of Hamara wolves, and she couldn't help but to tense up as well.
She trotted without hesitation up behind her mother, coming to her side to back her up, glaring icily at Julien and Dyrim. She did not know them, but she knew her mother was looking at them as associates in Blood's murder, and whether or not they knew it, they were in for trouble just for being here. She glanced back at Vengeance as her mother began to speak, flicking her ear. "Get over here," she hissed at her sister. Her tail touched her sister's side as the femora joined her, and they watched their mother lunge for the male. Winter stalked forward, looking toward the female, hackles raised. "Where is your leader?" she demanded, baring her ivories, "And where is the one who killed my brother?" Though fury raged through her just like her mother, she held a little more control, staring at Dyrim as she waited for an answer. She could wait for the bloodbath, she knew it would come soon.
-Avenged Star-
The youngest of the trio dawdled behind the two older femmes, her lanky legs betraying her youth, though she had reached her fullest height. Her head was large and blocky like Crimson's, and her claws were thick and deadly, while her jaws held powerful crushing potential. She stood in the back, unsure of what to do. She knew what they had come here for, but she was not a seasoned warrior, and knew not of starting a battle. And with the way Crimson approached them, they would be fighting tooth and claw for life's breath, something she wasn't sure she was ready for if they came at her. Still, she came to Winter's side when the jet black femme beckoned her, and watched as her mother and sister went forward brashly with demands and violence. Staying put, she waited until she would be needed, watching closely...

Long body lazed out in the autumn sun, Julien yawned. It was so dreadfully boring in these lands. He had expected more action, more excitement. The other lands, he knew, were having quite the quarrels, but for some reason, these ones remained untouched. Perhaps it was because they were so far away from anyone else, and nobody particularly cared about them. Well, there had been excitement (or at least some) when he first came here, but since that brute Sephiroth wandered off to god-knows-where, nothing had really happened. They had hunted, they had killed, they had eaten, and they were now lying around like a bunch of fat pigs... even though he was still as skinny as ever. Either way, it disgusted him.
Rolling onto his legs, Julien sauntered through the evergreen trees. One couldn't really tell it was autumn here. Blue eyes flickered about and he found Leon lying off a ways, too. Julien really didn't have anything in common with him. Leon was noble, honorable -- a knight, true and true. Julien? Well, he couldn't really tell what he was. A monster, maybe. He instead found Dyrim, basking in the sun as he had only moments before. He dipped his crown.
"Afternoon, lovely," he said, that boyish charm rising in his voice. "Would you care for a walk? I'm finding myself dreadfully bored..."

| Dyrim lay in the fading afternoon sun enjoying the feeling of being full. Her tassle flicked form side to side and she saw that Leon was positioned in a similar fashion some distance away. Dyrim had come back and discovered that the brute Tristan had left, she had followed his fading scent to the border but where he had gone was a mystery. Now she lay content wondering where her mistress had gone off too. Surely not with that suspicious character Sephiroth. He gave her a bit of the creeps but she was not about to say that aloud. If Kaia trusted him that was good enough for her. So now she lay unsure of what to do with herself, things had settled down a bit, at least there were no more spats between the bru's...yet. Though she liked Leon well enough she supposed...he didn't really do much except sit there and he had been nothing if not polite.
Sighing she leaned back and closed her eyes wishing there was some sort of task she could be doing.

| --Notice--
Due to lack of activity I'm going to cancel any interactions going on with the wolves and sort of "reset" them if you will. Just to untangle everyone's characters from the lack of posting of other users. So you can continue any conversations or whatever thats happening but instead of being on the hunt or whatever they are now just hanging around the lands or what have you.

| The aging hessian found himself growing weary of this mental torture. Though the hunt had only been on for a short while, the time he had alone to think was driving him crazy. It was clear he didn't belong here. And on such a small pack, he was more of a burden than a help as it was. Part of him wanted to stay, to try and settle things with the group, but another part of him nagged at his chest. He had to leave, had to visit the Pearl one last time before making his choice. It would bother him to leave Kaia so soon, so abrupt and rude, but it had to be done... for his sanity. There had been no word to him of the sieges in Jabbar, but it was one of his options. Muerta was too dark a place for him. He needed a place with a soul. And the pures would be able to rehabilitate his broken one... perhaps in Midnight Meadows. He wasn't entirely sure yet. Though he did strive to be good again... yes, it would be Midnight first. Tristan rose to his feet, taking a moment to balance on the three of them. he looked around, taking note of the obvious. Kaia and the others were still gone. He would have to find Sephiroth... As the thought crossed his mind, the fiery brute himself passed by. With others. He had that look of purpose about him that said he was headed in Kaia's direction. Wasn't he always? He loped up quickly, though in his awkward manner, and managed to catch up. "Sephiroth... wait. I need you to tell Kaia something for me when you find her. Just let her know I couldn't stay. It was a pleasure, but I feel this just isn't the right fit. Please thank her for her hospitality, but I'm headed for the Pearl to check up on things and then I'm going to give Midnight a try." The brown male with them looked at him suddenly, alerted by something in his words. "Midnight? There are some Jabbar wolves there right now. Refugees, if you will, of a coup. Tread safely if you go. We've just escaped ourselves.""Jabbar? Coup?" Tristan shook his head. "What a shame. Thank you for the warning, but I don't have too much of a fear for the likes of them." He had no knowledge of Damean or Jaded's passing, and it would have disappointed him further to hear so. In time the news would come, and until then ignorance was... well, it was kind of bliss. He gave a nod to the couple and looked back to Sephiroth more gravely. "It was good to meet you. Perhaps our paths will cross again. We'll see." The large salt and pepper form turned from the trio and headed off for the border. It would be interesting to see his old home. He wasn't particularly thrilled to go, still on uneven terms with Jack, though in his own mind rather than outwardly so. Something pulled him, called to him from there. He had a feeling that the lands were not the same, something was brewing within. And though he hated to help them, hated having to go back and face his ghosts, he was being dragged there by some kind of fate. The idea of turning back never even crossed his mind. He would go, see what he could do, and leave. No matter what he had to do to help, it would be brief. He couldn't stay... he couldn't. | |

| [Oh my, I'm behind...]
"Brus and their damn egos indeed..." Julien muttered beneath his breath. He could have rolled his eyes at the fighting males, too, though he was male. He was just never one for a fight. What would be the point of it? Rawr, rawr, rawr, so I'm bigger and tougher than you, rawr, rawr, rawr is all it sounded like to him. He didn't care if he was at the top of the totem pole or the bottom. He really didn't.
Well, this was certainly a welcoming pack. He was already invited to go on a hunt. All righty then. His long and limber legs loped alongside Dyrim until they split, the other wolves passing him. He hung at the back of the pack, taking his time. Was there really a need to rush? He peered out at the deer from behind a bush, catching Kaia's gaze at the little one. But oh... Dyrim sprang, with other sights of a kill in mind. A buck with a broken antler. Sizeable. He would certainly feed the pack more than the little one would have.
But Julien didn't attack with the rest of them. He emerged from the bushes and the herd was charging toward him, and upon sight they veered around, collding into one another in panic. All he had to do was stand there and they were terrified. What an unbelieveably stupid animal. They charged away into the forest as the other wolves battled the buck, taking him down from the front and behind. Julien sat back on his haunches, watching everything commence.

| OOC: Um, Kippy, I think you mean Epica, not Exodus. The brown hessian was quickly aware of Sephiroth's presence. He approached Epica, and he felt the need to go on guard, but only for a brief moment. The presence of this flame-hued bru was intimidating, but it seemed they were on good terms and he let himself relax. When the word 'mate' slipped from his love's lips in reference to him, his heart did flips in his chest. She seemed to take it all in stride. And he was glad to hear it for himself. They had evolved from simple elopers into a committed couple. It made him feel good, not having to whore himself off anymore. His mind came back into focus, the hessian before them warning them of the scent they carried. "No worries, we'll easily disassociate from that mess of a pack. I don't know much about it anyway." He willingly began to follow the bru, but stopped one step in when Epica addressed him. "Any counsel you need, love. I'll give it. And I don't mind you laying claim. I'm all yours. In fact, I rather enjoyed hearing it from your own mouth." He drew his head over hers as it fell into his neck, returned her kiss, and smiled to her before moving wordlessly off behind Sephiroth. There would be plenty of time for love later. "Let's get this settled." | |

| Exodus quickly turned and looked at Casanova. "I love you too" her words were straight but she felt her heart fluttering and the blood in her veins racing. She was going to give him a kiss when a whisper set itself in the air and she looked around quickly for the voice. "hello epica" her tremor through her body wasn't one of fear it was slight joy and excitment. "sephiroth... Meet my mate Casanova" she stepped closer to him and eyed the brute as he came round to look at them both. "you smell like jabbar friends... Be cautious of this here" he turned and howled out as he walked away. "we must follow him. He'll find the alpha here... Then you need to know about somethings with this brute... And I need your counsil..." she was highly confused on the fact sephiroth was in a pack specially after meeting him so long ago. Exodus looked at Casanova. "and sorry. I had to lay some claim between us right then. I do love you and now I know you love me so I thought I'd take a chance with that one." she gave him a soft smile then licked his cheek and pressed her head into his neck. He was bigger then her and she loved not feeling so alone but she woulnt lead the following train. That was for Casanova for if he were to agree with any type of mateship or courting he'd have to make firstyask to walk... | |

| The hellion followed Epica close behind the whole way. Not for a moment would he leave her side, barely breathing when she had to stop. Any time they could afford to be caught, he had held back the air from his lungs, refusing to pant, refusing to be heard. It was the last thing he wanted to risk. The scents slowly began to pour forward, strange wolves, though few. There was no anger here, and it seemed to be rather quiet. It seemed the pack was elsewhere for now. She asked if they had arrived. Finally, he allowed his tongue to loll out of his mouth, catching his breath as safety seemed to envelop them. "Yes... I think we've made it." He knew nothing of these lands, who ruled. It was all new to him. As he looked around he felt her stare, and at last his head rested from observing the trees and terra. She was looking to him, trusting him, depending on him it seemed. At once, Casanova nuzzled her, licked her cheek gently, and just placed his head at her shoulders, a simple gesture. He loved her more than she probably expected. By now he had considered them mates, and he hoped that with more actions she would come to understand the same. He knew she had been having a difficult time with the events of the recent past and wanted nothing more now than to shower her with affection. "Just so you know," he began, sounding as though he had something serious to say. It wasn't that, but it certainly was important. He smiled, peeking at the backs of her auds as he left his head where it was, "I love you." | |

| "come on..." she told her legs to keep going... God was she tired. "casanova were here right?" along their journey he had let her stop to mourn multiple times. She had gone to damean for a pardon, for forgiveness and had gotten only his death answer in the end... She hadn't done a single thing to help him! Oh why was she such a fool! Her healin instincts told her there were wounded near by but she didn't want to help anyone right now she wanted to sit. Her brown orbs locked onto her...mate? Had this been established? She knew love was between them even if the beginning was just games it wasn't anymore... Her ears perked forward as many scents came to her nares and he slowed to let Casanova venture fourth with her... Although slightly infront too... | |

| One set of dark red eyes, one set of bright blue eyes. The dark red matching the black pelt tinted with deep red highlights of one bru, the blue orbs that were more dangerous then real ice were surrounded by white fur. Each one stopped here and there, sniffing the ground, listening to the story, reading it with every movement that was made before their eyes. "He's here. No...was. He's not here anymore, we missed him again. Vincent. This is getting old. But, we better warn the pack, it's about time..." the white bru sighed and began to set the pace into the pack. Vincent followed behind him, stopping every so often to listen. "Their on a hunt? Now... why would she do such a thing, specially with what's going on" Vincent's words were cautious and he soon sped up before Cloud testing the bru with speed. "They're all before us. We need to stop, let them finish the hunt. Go round, we need to come up behind" They nodded to one another and parted, going round. Birds didn't fly away from them, they were no threat, they were not hostile at all. Cloud and Vincent were out on their own lives...and they had to warn this female of her trust she's placed in Sephiroth... | |

Finally, time for food. Kaia glanced back to make sure the two whom she had chosen to accompany her were following, then pressed on, every sense on edge, waiting. Now to see what this territory really offered. Thus far she and Dyrim had been somewhat unsuccessful, but this was a beautiful, forested area. Plenty of cover and plenty of water meant plenty of prey, at least in her experience. Not that her experience was all that great.. she was only 3 years of age, after all, a fairly young age to be. True, she had experienced much, but how much could one really learn in so short a time?
Still focused despite her temporary wandering, Kaia caught sight of Leon just as Dyrim sofly barked. Who was that following him? Another stranger? Kaia, for a split second, considered meeting with her now, but instantly shrugged that idea off. She seemed capable, following Leon, and she trusted that the bru knew what he was doing. She was hungry, and was sure that everyone else felt the same. They would hunt, then introductions could follow. Tasting the air, she dipped her head sideways, indicating to Dyrim that she should follow. There was a slight taste of moose in the air... but it got stronger quickly. They would split up... moose were dangerous game, but one would feed the whole pack. Lowering herself, she looked at Leon, and in a voice barely a whisper gave the directions. "You and she should take the left. Dyrim and I will take the right. Watch out for hooves and antlers, and stay alert. I don't want any casualties today." She eyed them gravely for a second, gaze lingering with some curiosity on the new fem, then a smile slowly worked it's way across her features. "Let's eat." She turned, moving noiselessly to the side. The large beasts were unaware of the ghost-like shadows surrounding them, intent on grazing. The great thing about a moose was agility... in a straight-on charge, a bull was surprisingly quick, but they manuvered slowly, so kicking was not as large a danger as it would be with a buck. Still, to be trampled beneath those huge hooves.. Kaia shuddered to think about it, staring at the huge bull at the center of the herd. He would feed them for a looong time, but the safer target was the smaller male off to the left. One antler was broken off, hanging at an awkward angle from the base. It was trying unsuccessfully to rid itself of this piece, scratching furrows in a large pine. From here Kaia could see the large marks that crossed the coinciding shoulder... bear. Somehow this moose had had a run in, and likely the blow that caused those scratches had also broken the antler.
Looking over, she signalled Leon with her tail, indicating the target, though likely he had seen the same signs that she had. Here was their chance. With a growl, she sprang out from hiding, streaking across the clearing at her intended kill.

'And he fancies himself a Knight'
Leon looked back at her and tilted his head, she heard the rustling as well. At least she was no completely untaught, no, she would have to have some knowledge to have been on her own for so long. Smiling as she stepped ahead of him he caught up with her in a few easy strides. "Easy lass, today we hunt much bigger game. We have to feed a pack, and though I don't oppose a small snack the alphess will be waiting for us. Best if you stuck close to me, you don't want to be caught alone with some of the wolves here..." Sephiroth. His mind supplied the name. Grunting internally he pushed away thoughts of bru and smiled at Rena. "Come on, I'll show you were they were headed." Then he trotted forward alert for sounds of the pack. He was sure that they would start the hunt so he smiled again at Rena when they got close to a particular slope in the land. "Now it is time to hunt." He whispered softly. Then he assumed a low stance and began to stalk forward, expertly avoiding anything that would make a noise.

| This was the moment of truth. Leon turned and took a few steps before looking behind him to see if Rena would follow. He honestly meant it, he isn't going to try and attack me. You wouldn't turn your back on a threat, even I know that. She started to nod her head at him to signal for him to take the lead but she stopped mid motion. The wind had just blown the scent of some creature, possibly a hare, maybe a small deer if they were lucky. She breathed deeply, the smell of food was making her mouth water. She perked her auds listening for further indication as to where the animal might be. There was a slight rustling in the underbrush not too far from where the two stood. Rena motioned to Leon, pointing her nose in the direction of the prey. He seemed to understand. This is the perfect time to show Leon what I can do. She thought to herself as she silently took the lead. https://i.servimg.com/u/f64/14/84/50/89/rena-d17.jpg" border="0" alt=""/> | |

'And he fancies himself a Knight'
Leon smiled brightly at the fem. She seemed gracious enough in accepting his apologies and now she even seemed to desire to join the pack. He couldn't have done it better if he tried! Though he did find it strange that she had never been in a pack before...perhaps...she traveled with her family unit. Whatever the reason he would not pry, only hope that she would like it here. She seemed very self concious and he frowned mentally wondered why that was. The wolf by nature was not usually a shy type and they were made shy by certain events happening to them...especially femmes. A feeling of disapproval rose up in him. Hopefully it was because of her age.
"Of couse I'm serious. Come, we shall finish the hunt then you can meet the alphess, Kaia." Standing up he smiled at her and wagged his banner. Ready to lead the charge in the hunt. He wondered where the rest of the pack was and if they had gotten lucky with any trails. Eyeing Rena he frowned, she seemed quite....skinny. He wondered if she would even be able to hunt as emaciated as she was. Clearly she had been on her own for awhile. Curiousity again rose up but it was impolite to ask such thing and he took a couple steps forward looking back to see if she would trust him enough to follow.

| Rena took a few deep breaths to calm herself. She wished she could just calm down. Honestly, Rena, you are not in any danger! There is no need for you to be so uptight, she chided herself. After all, she had just been offered a place in a pack. And Leon had been nothing if not apologetic and embarrassed by his ‘attack’ if it could even be called that. But she could not dismiss his size and muscle. He was so much larger and more powerful than her slight frame. But not faster, she thought almost subconsciously. If he showed signs of turning on her she could easily outrun him, but if he were to suddenly leap at her… if he was able to sink his teeth into her, wound her in anyway, she wouldn’t even be able to outrun him… she would be no match if they were to fight. The thought was not easily dismissed but Rena was able to push it to the back of her mind and focus on a more pressing matter: A place in a pack. It was an extremely tempting offer. No matter how happy she had been before, when it was just her and her home, she couldn’t pretend that she hadn’t been longing for companionship. And suddenly she had been given a choice. If this was the pack’s territory then she would have to leave immediately or risk running into another, perhaps more territorial and dangerous wolf who would not show the same kindness. Or she could accept his offer. “I… I have never been a part of a pack.” Her voice was quieter and she was embarrassed with how it shook ever so slightly, betraying her hope to look brave in front of Leon. Hold on just one moment. What does it matter if he thinks you are brave? What does it matter what he thinks of your character? She could not answer her own question. Not yet at any rate. “If your offer is a serious one, I will accept.” And if you are hunting that makes it even better she added silently. As if it had been waiting for its cue, her stomach growled loudly. Curse you, empty stomach! Must you always grumble so loudly? She shifted her weight from paw to paw anxiously before looking Leon in the eye and flashing a charming smile. “I suppose we got off to a bad start. Let me introduce myself. I am Rena, I have no pack and I do not wish to cause any trouble. I have been traveling for some time now and I have not had any food or rest for almost two days. Some food and shelter would be most welcome. If you are still offering, that is.” She amended quickly. | |

| Leon was pleased that he had no harmed her. Well...he could see no evidence of harm and she might be lying for prideful purposes. He had never met so many thick headed wolves until he came into these lands. Looking at her he tilted his head to the side as if to better examine her. She seemed very familiar. "Pardon me miss. I am Leon. I am recently new to this pack....are you looking to join the pack? We were just hunting...I could introduce you to my lady if you would like." he had. Friendly smile on his face and his pose was as none threatening as it could be. Regardless he was a soldier and a bit bulky. He tried to make himself seem kindly as possibly. After all it was apart of his honor code.

I've really screwed up this time. Kaia watched Sephiroth go, fighting the urge to charge after him, to scream at him, to snap, to try and knock some sense into him. None of this would help. Brus and their damn egos! She would never understand it, and because of that, she would forever be making this happen. With a frustrated look still remaining on her features, she turned to Tristan. Leon too had disappeared... and just as well. She honestly did not have the patience for this right now. Perhaps after a little time apart, they could once again at least ignore each other in peace!
The hunt would be a tad stunted, however. They could still handle it. Leon perhaps had gone ahead, and would meet them later, once prey had been found. Working this out, she tuned out of her own thoughts, now focusing on Tristan. After he had spoken his piece, she smiled reassuringly, erasing the frustration, letting her visage go smooth once more. "There is nothing to apologize for, Tristan, don't worry! I definitally understand the requirements of solitude." She once more looked in the direction that Sephiroth had taken. Oh how she could use some of that right now! "In these lands, none shall go hungry so long as we have meat. Do not worry, you will definitally get a share. Not everyone has the same skills, but we all have something to offer." Glad to be speaking to a male who did not seem inclined to make her feel uncomfortable at ever possible moment, she dipped her head, her frame starting to relax once more in the absence of the other two. Fresh air, a lot of running, and something to sink her teeth into. That's all that she needed.
"Dyrim, Julien? Come, let's find something to eat." She led them off into the trees.

| Rena felt the creature suddenly slam into her, knocking her sideways and as they tumbled she could only think that this would be it. She was going to die. This animal- no, this wolf was larger and much stronger than she. But she was not one to give up without a fight. She disentangled herself from the other wolf and bared her teeth, her heart racing, she was ready this time. But instead of further attack there was an apology. “I’m quite sorry miss, I hope that you aren’t harmed. I thought… well… are you well?” There was something familiar about him, his embarrassed expression, his eyes… there was definitely something in his eyes that Rena recognized. But how is that possible? She reasoned with herself. I’ve never met another wolf before. “I’m not harmed.” She replied as she straightened out of her fighting stance but she would not relax yet, not until she knew she was no longer in any danger. “Who are you?” She suddenly demanded. 'And he fancies himself a Knight'
Leon had fanned off and began his stealthy trek into the forest. He would first check the river, for this is the most logical place where prey would convene. Slinking through the brush he carefully eased his way through, the wind was not in his favor today but he hoped that his prey would have their noses dulled by some other delicacy.
The river was close now, he could hear the soft burble of the water and peering through the bracken he could vaguely see a form there, though he could not tell what sort of creature it was. A twig snapped under his paw and he froze. Blast. He had to move quick now.
Springing from the bushes to make a rush at the creature it was closer than he first thought and he found himself on top of it...wait no..a her...another wolf. Immediately he retracted his claws and did his best to make the tumble only impact him. Once they came to a hault he disengaged himself quickly.
Stepping quickly over to the fem he frowned for his idiocy, "I'm quite sorry miss, I hope that you aren't harmed. I thought..well...are you well?" Leon looked at her with true concern and then realized there was something familiar about the fae...had he seen her before? Surely she was not of this pack for she smelled of far off places.
